Chris Paul and Burning Bright dive into the 1994 Coen Brothers classic The Hudsucker Proxy, unraveling its sharp social satire and timeless allegory about capitalism, corruption, and the illusion of the American Dream. Through their lens, the film's absurd humor and stylized storytelling become a mirror for today's technocratic age, where media manipulation, corporate puppetry, and spiritual bankruptcy echo louder than ever. The hosts dissect its themes of divine timing, moral awakening, and circular invention, connecting Norville Barnes' rise and fall to the cyclical nature of societal “turnings.” With witty banter and philosophical depth, they explore how The Hudsucker Proxy—part comedy, part cautionary tale, captures the eternal battle between ego and purpose, power and providence. Equal parts film analysis, cultural critique, and metaphysical reflection, this Story Hour reminds listeners why the Coens' satire may be one of the most prophetic films of our era.
Rafael McMaster Founder Rafael McMaster is an artist who began his career in fashion and has designed clothing lines for Puma and others. His design career led to multiple lines of snowboards, brand and design work for Chris Paul, Matthew McConaughey and MEK denim as well as Webby award nominated websites. In 2016, McMaster hit a wall. Everything on the outside looked perfect— a great family, house, car, and position at a world class creative entertainment agency— but inside Rafael felt spiritually bankrupt. His friend Dave Brubaker told him, "You got to the top of the corporate ladder only to realize your ladder was on the wrong building." Looking for a change and a new vision for the next chapter of his life, Rafael sought to volunteer at his daughter's elementary school and show his art locally. Having painted for 20 years as a hobby, friends and patrons alike encouraged Rafael to share his art professionally. It was this inspiration that led him to two surprising facts: there was no art class offered in his daughter's elementary school, and there were zero galleries in his hometown of Hermosa Beach. Rafael felt this was his calling—to cultivate art and its awesome power to connect— within his community. Inspired into action, he founded the South Bay Artist Collective, a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose purpose is to cultivate creativity, consciousness, and connection through art. He founded the gallery and creative lab Resin within months, and began a world-class youth creative arts program, weaving in decades of professional creative direction, graphic design, fashion design, and original music into a dynamic and comprehensive arts program. All of these thriving entities are now known as Indivisible Arts. https://www.indivisiblearts.org/ https://www.rafaelmcmaster.com/ LinkedIn Page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rafael-mcmaster-ba573531/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rafaelmcmasterart/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mcmaster.peace/ YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVP8eNYx58zbFZuBSZj6b8w

Chris Paul and Burning Bright take on the 1967 classic Cool Hand Luke in this deep, thought-provoking episode of Badlands Story Hour. What begins as a film review unfolds into a profound conversation about rebellion, faith, conformity, and the human spirit under total control. From Paul Newman's unforgettable portrayal of Luke to the movie's iconic line, “What we've got here is failure to communicate,” the hosts unpack the film's themes of resistance and submission, and what they reveal about our modern world. They draw parallels between Luke's defiance and today's societal obedience, exploring how systems of power demand compliance, how gatekeepers enforce conformity, and why true freedom comes from refusing to yield. Between philosophical insights, cultural commentary, and plenty of laughter, this episode redefines what it means to be unbreakable in a world built to keep you in line.

Jon Herold and Chris Paul mark Devolution Power Hour Ep. 401 with a marathon deep dive into global politics, domestic lawfare, and the growing information war. The show kicks off with Trump's Asia tour and Steve Bannon's bombshell claim that Trump will serve a third term, challenging the 22nd Amendment and sparking debate over constitutional legitimacy and divine providence. From there, Jon and Chris explore Chuck Grassley's revelations on DOJ corruption, Bill Barr's strategic “trap” memos, and how the FBI's Arctic Frost investigation exposed Biden's weaponized justice system. The conversation shifts into surreal territory with reports of AI-written court rulings, prompting a larger discussion about the collapse of judicial credibility and the dangers of artificial intelligence in governance. They close with updates on Trump's sanctions, South American tensions, and the mainstream media's manipulation of global narratives. Insightful, unfiltered, and filled with humor, this episode captures the spirit of Devolution Power Hour, where nothing is off-limits, and every headline hides a deeper game.
Ghost and Chris Paul take Badlands Daily deep into the web of propaganda, power, and parallel history. They start with the bizarre media claim that Trump ended trade talks with Canada over a Reagan ad, uncovering the deeper fight between globalist control systems and sovereign nations. From Mark Carney's central banking empire to the rise of neocons under Reagan, they trace decades of manipulation that still shape today's world. The hosts connect Trump's tariffs, Russian sanctions, and the “aluminum wars” to a modern dismantling of global corruption before pivoting into the NBA gambling scandal, the Mafia's infiltration of pro sports, and how entertainment, finance, and government have merged into one big show. The episode ends with AI, the World Economic Forum's reach, and the illusion of freedom in the digital age, all delivered with sharp humor, cultural insight, and a reminder that in the information war, awareness is the first act of rebellion.
In this landmark 400th episode of Devolution Power Hour, Jon Herold, Burning Bright, and Chris Paul celebrate four hundred shows of fearless analysis, community, and truth. The hosts dig into Trump's latest strategic moves, Biden's unraveling presidency, and the cracks forming within America's political and media establishment. They connect global tensions, intelligence infighting, and societal upheaval to the broader awakening taking place across the world. With reflection, laughter, and sharp insight, this celebratory episode honors the journey that brought the truth movement this far, and looks ahead to what's still to come in the fight for freedom and sovereignty.
Chris Paul and Burning Bright slice into Wes Craven's 1996 classic Scream, a film that redefined horror, rewrote the rules, and made meta mainstream. They explore how Scream turned the genre inside out, balancing humor, fear, and self-awareness with a cast that captured an entire generation's coming of age. From the iconic Drew Barrymore opener to the film's commentary on culture's feedback loop, how movies shape us and we, in turn, shape movies, the duo breaks down why Scream still cuts deep nearly 30 years later. Their discussion peels back layers on everything from the film's sexual politics and generational cynicism to its eerie parallels with today's media landscape, propaganda, and perception of reality. Between jokes, ads, and deep dives into cultural meta, they reveal how Scream wasn't just about killers in masks, it was a mirror held up to the audience itself.
Jon Herold opens Devolution Power Hour with honesty and exhaustion, addressing the fallout from recent online drama before steering the show back to its core, truth, news, and forward momentum. Joined remotely by Chris Paul, the duo dives into the “No Kings” protests and their bizarre mix of aging activists, global coordination, and Antifa links. They revisit past government mapping of Antifa networks, highlighting new FBI findings that reveal funding trails and command structures finally being exposed. From there, the conversation shifts to the Supreme Court's redistricting chaos in Louisiana, with Jon and Chris dissecting the absurdity of racial gerrymandering arguments and Justice Jackson's shocking “disabled voters” comparison. The episode crescendos with global analysis: Trump's phone call with Putin, a proposed peace summit in Budapest, and the surreal “Russia-to-Alaska tunnel” plan, all pointing to Trump's self-declared “Year of Peace.” Blending humor, analysis, and genuine camaraderie, this milestone 399th episode balances world-shaking events with heartfelt reflection, setting the stage for the 400th to come.

CannCon and Chris Paul tackle a loaded Monday episode of Badlands Daily, cutting through the noise on the J6 Committee's mass data grab, 30 million phone records, and the constitutional overreach it represents. From FBI corruption and congressional spying to Biden's Ukraine cover-ups and Trump's strategic government “RIFs,” the hosts connect the dots between lawfare, censorship, and the unraveling of the old guard. They debate free speech for foreign visa holders, laugh through Illinois' fence fiasco, and expose how propaganda keeps America hypnotized. Between political absurdities and corporate shifts, yes, even Doritos reformulations, this episode balances sharp analysis with trademark Badlands humor.
Burning Bright and Chris Paul break down Margin Call, a film that captures the cold, calculated collapse of Wall Street's moral compass. The hosts dissect the movie's depiction of greed, systemic evil, and the psychology behind financial power, drawing parallels between the 2008 crash and the controlled demolitions shaping today's world economy. They unpack the symbolism behind Jeremy Irons' “moral relativists,” the engineered volatility of markets, and how this film exposes the illusion of complexity that shields corruption. The conversation moves from macroeconomics to modern geopolitics, connecting Trump, China, and the Sovereign Alliance to the real-world financial “margin calls” happening now. Sharp, cinematic, and intellectually loaded, this episode turns a film review into a masterclass on power, perception, and financial warfare.

They unpack Trump's latest declaration of war on the cartels, the implications of his new wartime powers, and what it all means for dismantling the administrative state. From the Constitution's post-Civil War inversion to Project 2025, Barry Weiss's rise to CBS, and Tucker's strange anti-Bitcoin push, the hosts connect every thread back to the Great Reset battle between globalist factions, and Trump's quiet dismantling of their power structure. With their trademark humor and sharp insight, Herold and Paul challenge listeners to see beyond the political theater and recognize that the real revolution might already be underway.
CannCon and Chris Paul team up to cut through the noise on day three of the government shutdown. From Trump's meeting with Russ Vought and the unprecedented chance to slash bloated federal agencies, to Cash Patel's bombshell confirmation that Pelosi refused National Guard support on January 6th, this episode is stacked with revelations. The hosts expose the FBI's covert presence inside the Capitol, Pelosi's HBO film crew, and the media's role in covering up the inside job. They also dig into Trump's strategic trolling of Project 2025 critics, the Democrats' crumbling narratives, and what a true “return to normalcy” in America should look like. Chris Paul and Burning Bright dive into Sinners (2025), Ryan Coogler's stylish, vampire-infused crime drama. They unpack the film's layered mix of organized crime, race, and spirituality, exploring how the story of two brothers, Smoke and Stack, goes beyond surface-level culture war narratives. From period-piece reflections on Jim Crow and Prohibition to the symbolic power of music as both liberation and temptation, the hosts trace themes of freedom, fellowship, and deception. They spotlight how Coogler flips expectations: vampires sell “unity” while embodying enslavement, and entertainment becomes both healing and a trap. With sharp insights into character dynamics, cultural commentary, and theological undertones, Chris and BB argue that Sinners delivers more than anti-woke bait, it's a Trojan horse of deeper truths about power, consensus, and the human struggle between worldly desire and higher purpose.
Jon Herold and Chris Paul tackle a packed episode of Devolution Power Hour, opening with Trump's surprise “med bed” healthcare announcement and the AI-generated video that set the internet buzzing. They question the line between satire, soft disclosure, and information warfare, comparing it to Hollywood's visions of instant healing tech. From there, the hosts dive into synthetic reality, showing how AI videos and fabricated documents erode trust in evidence itself, reinforcing the need for skepticism in an information war. They explore Trump's new NSPM on domestic terrorism, its connection to 18 U.S.C. §§ 241–242, and how it may tie into the broader “RICO Grande” case against the Deep State. With sharp analysis of the Comey indictment, Kash Patel's pushback, John Brennan's televised denial, and the looming government shutdown, Herold and Paul connect today's chaos to larger strategies of exposure, leverage, and constitutional restoration. From Soros to January 6th optics, from the Pentagon's unprecedented Quantico gathering to the auto-pen saga, this episode lays out the converging narratives shaping America's next chapter.

CannCon and Chris Paul bring the heat on a Friday edition of Badlands Daily. The show kicks off with the bombshell indictment of James Comey on felony charges, sparking debate over whether this is just the beginning of a larger RICO case against the Deep State. They dig into Trump's sharp remarks on “Dirty Cop Comey,” the conflicts of interest surrounding the judge, and why this moment could signal a bigger unraveling. From there, the hosts break down a newly revealed FBI after-action report exposing 274 agents embedded on January 6th, raising fresh questions about government entrapment, oversight failures, and perjury from officials like Wray and Garland. The conversation expands into Soros's $80 million funneling to extremist groups, the looming government shutdown and Trump's strategy to shrink the bureaucracy, and the unprecedented order summoning hundreds of generals to Quantico. With sharp analysis and trademark banter, CannCon and Chris Paul connect the dots between indictments, psyops, and the shifting power structure in Washington.
Chris Paul and Burning Bright take a deep dive into the 1962 classic The Manchurian Candidate, exploring its eerie relevance more than sixty years later. From predictive programming and narrative disarmament to MKUltra-style conditioning, they unravel how the film foreshadowed political assassinations, mass brainwashing, and the manipulation of public perception. The hosts connect Frank Sinatra's role, Angela Lansbury's chilling performance, and the film's layered realities to modern psyops, false flags, and consensus formation in the information war. Along the way, they unpack concepts like intuition versus narrative, social incentive structures, and how propaganda conditions entire societies just as effectively as a programmed assassin. With sharp cultural insight and plenty of first-principles analysis, this episode challenges listeners to see through the storylines crafted for control and to resist the conditioning designed to keep us compliant.
Burning Bright and Chris Paul open this episode of The Narrative by confronting the psychological rollercoaster of the past week, asking how a movement processes both grief and resilience in the wake of tragedy. They explore the spectrum between blackpills and whitepills, despair versus hope, and what it means to choose perspective in the middle of information warfare. The hosts dissect media manipulation around Charlie Kirk's assassination, highlight Trump's strategic handling of chaos, and examine how psyops prey on emotional exhaustion. They also focus on how the true enemies of the MAGA core may be the very ones piloting our emotions in the fallout of trauma events like the Kirk assassination. With humor, candor, and sharp cultural insight, Burning Bright and Chris remind listeners that sanity itself is a weapon, and that staying grounded in truth and faith is the ultimate act of resistance.
Courtney Mays is the image architect behind some of basketball's biggest stars: Sue Bird, Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, and Chris Paul, among others. And as such, she plays a major role in the styling the players' rotation of tunnel ‘fits and red carpet looks, alike. Courtney came to styling A-list athletes in a more roundabout way—starting with a job in retail, then as a stylist assistant, before working her way to becoming her own boss. She sits down with Sali to discuss how she built her dream client roster, among other important learnings and highlights, such as:the service/creative balance of being a professional stylist.how to advocate for her clients, and herself.the importance of giving yourself your flowers.preparing Liberty team players, as well as owner Clara Wu Tsai, for the Met Gala this past May.and, which WBNA star reignited her love of styling. We discuss two of the most dominant downhill penetrators in league history, and the critical ways in which they're different. First, the strengths and weaknesses of Giannis's battering ram approach and how that influences his playoff impact. Then, Dwyane Wade's unique balance between slicing through traffic and passing through traffic. Jon Herold and Chris Paul dive into a charged Saturday night edition of Devolution Power Hour, tackling the chaos of recent events with a “first principles” lens. They revisit the infamous Kabul airport footage, dissecting how media-fueled trauma events shape public perception, and debate whether audiences should ever accept official narratives at face value. The hosts wrestle with the fallout of Charlie Kirk's assassination story, exploring the line between skepticism, psyops, and mass manipulation. From fake or staged events to the exploitation of collective grief, Jon and Chris emphasize why acknowledging uncertainty is critical in an information war. The conversation expands into hybrid warfare, information, lawfare, economic, cultural, and psychological fronts, all waged simultaneously against the public. With humor, sharp analysis, and a refusal to accept easy answers, they challenge listeners to question everything and recognize the deeper battlefield shaping today's political and cultural landscape.
CannCon and Chris Paul open this episode of Badlands Daily by honoring Boone Cutler, reflecting on his lifelong fight for veterans and the enduring Spartan Pledge. From there, the hosts dive into Trump's latest maneuvers, including his push to reclaim Bagram Air Base and his role in reshaping the TikTok deal that could fold major platforms into a decentralized “truth media” ecosystem. They dissect FCC free speech debates sparked by Jimmy Kimmel's cancellation, warning how both left and right risk falling into the same cancel culture trap. Other highlights include the EU's no-confidence battles, Biden's cognitive decline, Raffensperger's Georgia ambitions, Antifa's terror designation abroad, and suspicious crime stat “book cooking” in D.C. With their trademark skepticism, CannCon and Chris cut through spin to expose psyops, media manipulation, and the high-stakes fight for accountability and sovereignty.
Burning Bright and Chris Paul dig into Godzilla Minus One, Takashi Yamazaki's striking 2023 take on the iconic monster. At first, the film feels like a standard kaiju entry, but it soon unfolds into a powerful character study and meditation on postwar Japan. The hosts break down Shikishima's arc from cowardice to redemption, drawing parallels between his personal journey and Japan's struggle with honor, shame, and survival in the shadow of humiliation. They highlight Yamazaki's stunning visual effects, achieved on a fraction of a Hollywood budget, and the film's refusal to explain away Godzilla—embracing him instead as a force of nature and a metaphor for existential threats. From kamikaze culture and engineered narratives to the lingering scars of national identity and the dangers of nihilism, Burning Bright and Chris Paul unpack why Godzilla Minus One resonates beyond its setting, offering lessons for sovereignty, resilience, and the fight against dehumanizing systems. A thoughtful and timely discussion that elevates a monster movie into a commentary on civilization itself.
Jon Herold and Chris Paul dive into the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, unpacking the layers of psyops, media manipulation, and consensus coercion shaping the public response. They question the official narrative, explore the use of trauma events as tools of psychological warfare, and highlight how influencers on both the left and right are funneled into controlled opposition. From Kash Patel's controversial role to Trump's carefully timed statements, the hosts dissect the optics, cover pieces, and public reactions driving division and compliance. They challenge listeners to resist emotional manipulation, recognize the patterns of information war, and avoid falling into the traps of fear, censorship, and false unity.
CannCon and Chris Paul open the show by reflecting on the Codex 9/11 premiere and how public trauma events, from 9/11 to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, are weaponized to control narratives. They dissect the FBI's evidence against 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, raising questions about timelines, missing rifles, and suspicious footage, while stressing America's “zero trust environment” where official stories rarely add up. The hosts compare Kirk's murder to historical assassinations, explore media spin, and call out attempts to weaponize anger into violence. They also highlight Secret Service lapses, including a missed Glock at Trump's golf club, and debate the larger information war being waged through psyops. From Epstein's lingering networks to Iran's crippled nuclear program, Kamala Harris's new book, and even bizarre cartel-like violence in Dallas, this episode blends skepticism, cultural analysis, and warnings about manipulation, urging listeners to think critically, resist demoralization, and stay focused on the bigger battle.
We tackle Chris Paul's “floor general” approach to offense and the pros and cons of how he pressured defenses (and his turnover suppression). Also, how did he change defensively from 2008 in New Orleans to his Clippers tenure? Where does he rank among small defenders? Then we make sense of Kawhi Leonard's historic scoring numbers and shooting, and the surprising heights of his team's offenses, along with his fluctuating defensive signals. https://teachhoops.com/ What's up, basketball fans, and welcome back to "Court Vision." Today, we're diving into a topic that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet but is absolutely critical to winning championships: leadership. When you think of a team leader, your mind might jump to the superstar who drops 30 points a night, the one hitting the game-winning shot. And while that's part of it, true on-court leadership runs so much deeper. It's the player who communicates on defense, who knows when to calm the team down during a chaotic moment, and who isn't afraid to hold everyone, including themselves, accountable. Think of players like Draymond Green or Chris Paul—their value isn't just in their individual stats, but in their ability to elevate the entire team's performance and basketball IQ. They are the coach on the floor, the extension of the game plan, and the glue that holds a team together through the highs and lows of a long season. Host: But leadership isn't a monolith; it comes in all shapes and sizes. You have the vocal, fiery leaders—the Michael Jordans and Kevin Garnetts of the world—who lead with intense passion and demand the absolute best from their teammates through sheer force of will. Their energy is infectious and can ignite a team. On the flip side, you have the quiet, stoic leaders like Tim Duncan or Kawhi Leonard, who lead by example. They aren't going to be the loudest guys in the huddle, but their relentless work ethic, consistency, and calm demeanor under pressure provide a steadying force for the entire organization. Neither style is inherently better than the other; the most effective leadership is often the one that best fits the team's personality and meets the moment, proving that you don't need to be the loudest voice in the room to have the biggest impact.
