Burning Bright and Chris Paul dive into Vice, Adam McKay's star-studded portrayal of Dick Cheney, for a sharp, layered discussion about propaganda, controlled opposition, and how narratives are weaponized across decades. They explore how the film cleverly uses the Bush years to smear Trump by proxy, blending truth with cynicism to rebrand neoconservatives as the “good Republicans” liberals can stomach. The hosts dissect the unitary executive theory, the administrative state's grip on power, and why Cheney was never just an outlier but a vessel for the same entrenched system driving perpetual war. From the Iraq invasion's marketing campaign to the hidden hand behind Israel's influence, Chris and Burning Bright examine how McKay's film sidesteps deeper truths in favor of a palatable villain story that leaves the real machine untouched. Along the way, they reflect on their own political awakenings, the legacy of 9/11-era narratives, and the recent echoes of Bush-era rhetoric in the Trump years. Part history lesson, part cultural autopsy, this episode is a reminder that the most effective propaganda is the one that feels true, especially when it flatters the audience's sense of moral superiority.
In this marathon pre–Fourth of July broadcast, CannCon and Chris Paul break down the Senate's passage of Trump's massive “One Big Beautiful Bill,” exploring whether the legislation is a genuine America First achievement or an elaborate setup to expose the unit party. They debate potential moves like line-item vetoes, impoundments, and rescissions, and how these could reshape executive power and funding battles. The hosts also cover the end of USAID as a standalone agency, with foreign aid shifting under the State Department and igniting media panic over “14 million projected deaths.” They tackle Elon Musk's threats to launch the America Party, the political theater around CBS paying Trump a massive settlement, and arguments over free speech after CNN promoted an app tracking ICE agents. Other highlights include John Diddy Combs's partial conviction, Ukraine weapons cuts, and Luhansk's final integration into Russia. The episode wraps with Trump's vow to claw back funding from Ivy League schools pushing transgender athletes, reflections on the Smith-Mundt Act's propaganda legacy, and an epic tangent about the broken two-party system.

Jon Herold and Chris Paul return for Episode 367 with a sweeping look at how narratives are weaponized and dismantled in real time. The show kicks off with Steve Bannon's declaration that the Iranian nuclear threat is a “MacGuffin”, a plot device meant to drive fear while hiding deeper objectives. The hosts connect this to Trump's strategic communications and Bannon's War Room, unpacking how a network of players including Rich Higgins, Ezra Cohen-Watnick, and Derek Harvey shaped the MAGA movement's media counteroffensive. They pivot to Supreme Court decisions limiting nationwide injunctions, calling it a seismic win against judicial overreach, while questioning why agency power was simultaneously upheld in the FCC tax ruling. Jon and Chris analyze the “Big Beautiful Bill,” suggesting Trump may be publicly supporting it to provoke opposition and trigger a fiscal showdown. The conversation explores the psychological warfare of existential threats, from nuclear panic to climate narratives, and how these fears are engineered to sever society from God. Wrapping up, they dig into the strategy of reverse narrative psychology, the unraveling of neocon influence in Israel, and whether America is on the brink of a deliberate financial reset.
Why would the Mavericks choose D'Angelo Russell over a legend like Chris Paul?” That's the question that kicks off a fiery 5pm Money Hour on The Ben and Skin Show, where Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray dive deep into the Mavericks' latest offseason moves—and they don't hold back.In this episode, the crew breaks down the Mavericks' expected signing of D'Angelo Russell to a 2-year, $12 million deal. Is it a smart move or a desperate patch until Kyrie returns? Skin offers sharp insight into Russell's value, noting, “He's making a third of what he made last year. That tells you what the market thinks of him.”The conversation takes a turn into the philosophical as they ponder Chris Paul's legacy and why he might prefer hanging with his kids in L.A. over chasing a ring in Dallas. “He's gonna go down with Barkley and Stockton—greats who never got a ring,” Skin reflects.
CP3 back to The Valley? NBA free agency begins on Monday, and the Phoenix Suns have an incomplete, yet interesting roster. In this marathon Friday broadcast, CannCon and Chris Paul guide listeners through a day packed with monumental Supreme Court decisions and unraveling narratives. The hosts break down the ruling limiting nationwide injunctions, a game-changer for lawfare against Trump, alongside other split decisions on government overreach, Medicaid cuts, and LGBTQ curriculum opt-outs. They dive deep into the spectacle of Trump's Iran strike aftermath, exploring competing intelligence leaks, claims of obliterated centrifuges, and whispers of a pre-negotiated nuclear deal with Iran. The show also dissects the media's meltdown, highlighting how the same outlets pushing the Russia hoax are now spinning the Iran story. CannCon calls out the absurdity of the “12-Day War” branding while Chris compares the entire event to a live-action Top Gun reboot. Later, they expose the tangled web of Biden's autopen authorizations, ponder Big Balls' reappearance at the Social Security Administration, and cheer as Harvard's endowment faces new scrutiny. From Zelensky's dwindling spotlight to North Korea's bizarre mega resort, this episode is a sweeping tour of collapsing institutions, theatrical geopolitics, and the relentless push to reclaim narrative control.
Broadcasting live from the heart of the Dallas Mavericks Draft Party at the American Airlines Center. With the energy of a franchise-altering night buzzing in the background, hosts Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina “K-Ray” Ray dive into the biggest headlines, hottest takes, and most hilarious moments of the day.The crew breaks down Kyrie Irving's surprising decision to opt out and re-sign for less—freeing up cap space and giving the Mavs a shot at adding key depth. Who should they target with that $5.7M exception? The debate gets heated as names like Chris Paul, Malcolm Brogdon, D'Angelo Russell, and Dennis Schröder get tossed around like hot fries at a Twisted Root Burger joint. But it's not all basketball—this episode takes a wild turn into movie madness as the gang reacts to the New York Times' Top 100 Movies of the 21st Century. From “Whiplash” to “Borat”, “Uncut Gems” to “Up”, the crew's commentary is as unfiltered as it is hilarious.
Chris Paul and Burning Bright dive deep into the 1995 submarine thriller Crimson Tide, exposing its layered regime propaganda and eerie relevance to current global tensions. Against the backdrop of recent narrative warfare around Iran's nuclear program, the hosts dissect how the film primes audiences to trust government authority, dismiss rebels as threats, and frame preemptive strikes as justified. They explore how Denzel Washington's and Gene Hackman's characters represent competing modes of deference, to protocol versus to power, and how these dynamics mirror today's media, military, and political theaters. With precision and wit, Chris and Bright unpack the manipulation of moral perception, the dangers of uncritical obedience to “expert intel,” and the propaganda value of nuclear threats as a narrative ticking clock. Alongside commentary on Trump's narrative maneuvers, CIA information pipelines, and the spectacle of war as politics by other means, this episode is a compelling study in 5th-gen warfare, on screen and off.
In Episode 138 of Baseless Conspiracies, Zak Paine and Chris Paul peel back the layers on the latest round of fear-based programming, from Trump's Iran strike to the West's obsession with nuclear narratives. They examine how the regime weaponizes information to maintain control, using psychological warfare and manufactured threats to manipulate the public. The hosts explore the spiritual and strategic significance of Trump's silence, the symbolic fallout of kinetic events, and how a crumbling regime doubles down on distraction as their systems unravel. With skepticism and sharp humor, they analyze media responses, dissect inverted narratives, and highlight the telltale signs of a controlled demolition of the old world order. From digital psyops to economic gamesmanship, the conversation challenges listeners to see through the spectacle and embrace discernment in the age of deception. It's an episode that reminds you: when everything's a psyop, knowing who you are might be the most revolutionary act of all.
The gang breaks down the Mavericks' move to extend Daniel Gafford for $54.3 million—and what it really means. Is it a long-term commitment or a trade chip in disguise? Skin unpacks the CBA loophole that makes Gafford immediately trade-eligible, and raises the stakes: “They signed him at the exact most amount of money they could give him and still flip him in a trade immediately.”Gafford, Lively, PJ Washington Jr., and now Cooper Flagg—how deep is too deep? Could Gafford be flipped? Is Drew Holiday still in play? What about Chris Paul?As the crew gears up for live draft coverage at the AAC, they leave listeners with a cliffhanger: “Is this the team the Mavs are running back with—or just the beginning of something bigger?”
In this fiery and introspective episode of The Daily Herold, Jon Herold dives deep into the geopolitical and spiritual implications of President Trump's recent strike on Iranian nuclear sites, and Iran's calculated retaliation. With missiles fired toward U.S. bases in Qatar and Iraq, Jon questions whether we're witnessing a real escalation or a choreographed psyop designed to reshape global power narratives. He breaks down the eerie symmetry to past Trump-era events, including Iran's history of symbolic strikes, and unpacks the explosive New York Times report confirming Iran warned Qatar in advance. This leads into a larger conversation on sovereignty, America First principles, and the danger of MAGA influencers cheering for foreign regime change. Herold wrestles with the tension between trusting Trump and standing against forever wars, ultimately challenging his audience to think critically about what America First really means. With references to Trump's UN speech, Chris Paul's commentary, and a few hard-hitting rants, this episode confronts both the global stakes and personal responsibility in the age of weaponized narrative.
In a bombshell episode of Devolution Power Hour, Jon Herold and Chris Paul unpack the breaking reports that the United States has bombed Iran, a development met with suspicious silence from both the White House and major media outlets. The hosts examine the optics, timing, and possible motives behind this sudden escalation, raising critical questions about narrative manipulation, regime desperation, and whether we're witnessing a false kinetic event designed to distract and divide. Amid this unfolding chaos, they explore the Supreme Court's continued delay on Trump's presidential immunity ruling, interpreting the silence as part of a broader unraveling of institutional legitimacy. Trump's Truth Social post calling for a special prosecutor to investigate 2020 election fraud is also dissected as a major marker in the information war. From war psyops and media fakery to strategic silence and spiritual discernment, this episode hits hard on every front. Jon and Chris connect the dots between foreign policy, lawfare, and the narrative collapse of a regime running out of options. Buckle up, this isn't just history unfolding, it's the reveal of how the game has been rigged all along.
CannCon and Chris Paul kick off this episode with a bold new Truth Social post from President Trump, doubling down on 2020 election fraud and reigniting debate over the stolen election narrative. They unpack the timing and implications of Trump's message, tying it to the ongoing silence from the Supreme Court on his presidential immunity case and what that delay could signal behind the scenes. The hosts also spotlight stunning congressional testimony from General Paul Nakasone, confirming that the Pentagon used psychological operations against the American public via social media, an admission that validates years of “conspiracy theory” warnings about government-led narrative control. From crumbling war propaganda to emerging signs of internal regime panic, CannCon and Chris expose how the media's grip is slipping and why the information war is intensifying. With sharp commentary, insider analysis, and a clear call for discernment, this episode pulls back the curtain on the real battlefield: the minds of the people.

In this powerful episode of Badlands Story Hour, hosts Chris Paul and Burning Bright dissect Alex Garland's dystopian film Civil War, unpacking its scathing portrayal of journalism and propaganda in the modern era. Far from a simple Trump-coded allegory, the film is interpreted as a brutal takedown of war journalists who act as narrative engineers, observers who provoke conflict and wield stories as weapons. Chris and Burning explore themes of morality, reality creation, and the manipulative power of photojournalism, drawing parallels to modern psyops, narrative warfare, and color revolutions. The conversation veers into philosophical questions about government, kingship, and power, making a compelling case that truth is found not in facts, but in intent. A must-listen for anyone grappling with media trust, narrative manipulation, or the deeper meaning behind today's cultural conflicts.
In Episode 363 of Devolution Power Hour, Jon Herold and Chris Paul are joined by Ashe in America for a wide-ranging breakdown of the collapsing regime narrative across legal, media, and political fronts. Ashe opens with a critical update from inside the Lindell v. Coomer trial, revealing how bombshell evidence and legal gamesmanship are being ignored by corporate media. From there, the trio explores Trump's calculated moves in Los Angeles, framing ICE raids and National Guard deployment as part of a broader psychological and informational operation meant to bait and expose the opposition. They connect the dots between crumbling confidence in Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom's legal quagmire, Elon Musk's disruptive positioning, and the public's growing refusal to swallow manufactured outrage. With sharp commentary on lawfare, drops, public perception, and the spiritual undercurrent of the moment, this episode paints a clear picture: the regime's playbook is wearing thin, and the counteroffensive is well underway.
In this episode of Badlands Story Hour, Chris Paul and Burning Bright dive deep into Tim Burton's Big Fish, unpacking its emotional and philosophical resonance with the storytelling lens they apply to today's political and cultural narratives. They explore the central father-son conflict through the metaphor of narrative trust, examining how intention shapes perception, and how storytelling itself can be a form of deeper truth. Drawing parallels between the film's protagonist Edward Bloom and figures like Donald Trump, the hosts argue that exaggerated tales, when rooted in good faith, may reveal more than literal facts ever could. The conversation seamlessly connects themes of myth, memory, verisimilitude, and the psychological need for narrative coherence in a world awash in psyops. It's a poignant meditation on identity, legacy, and the power of fiction to shape our reality.
On this news-packed edition of Badlands Daily, CannCon and Chris Paul are joined at the top of the show by Ashe in America for a breakdown of the latest developments in the Lindell v. The hosts then turn to the situation in Los Angeles, where ICE raids and National Guard enforcement continue under Trump's directive, sparking legal backlash from Gavin Newsom. They cover Kamala Harris's viral Juneteenth comments, RFK Jr.'s controversial “bloodline” remarks, and a growing cultural backlash against elite messaging. With headlines unraveling and narrative cracks widening, this episode delivers sharp analysis on the day's most important political and legal stories.
Get ready for an unfiltered and energetic breakdown of the NBA playoffs as we, Mike Palmer and Tarlin Ray from Running It Back, dive headfirst into the latest on the hardwood! We kick things off by dissecting the Knicks' recent playoff run, asking the tough questions about what went wrong and what's next for Mike's beloved and Tarlin's bandwagon team. Tarlin connects Coach Thibs' firing to a fascinating historical trend—it seems winning Coach of the Year can be a bit of a curse. Meanwhile, Mike remains optimistic that this shake-up opens up exciting new possibilities for the Knicks in the trade and free agent markets. Then, we shift gears to marvel at the Indiana Pacers' surprising success. We're talking about Tyrese Haliburton's incredible clutch shooting and Rick Carlisle's brilliant coaching. While we might not label Haliburton a "superstar," you'll hear why Mike concedes he is an elite point guard who consistently delivers in the clutch. Tarlin even drops some compelling stats, drawing comparisons between Haliburton and Chris Paul. Of course, we can't ignore the Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC). We delve into their suffocating defensive intensity, and I'm even bold enough to make a finals prediction you won't want to miss! We're exploring the evolving landscape of basketball, celebrating deep teams that bring high intensity for all 48 minutes, rather than relying on just one "alpha" superstar. And Tarlin makes a powerful point: it's about the quality of basketball, not just who's the "face of the NBA." So, join us for all this and more—we promise a fun, insightful, and passionately debated journey through the world of NBA.

In Episode 361 of Devolution Power Hour, Jon Herold and Chris Paul unpack the accelerating collapse of regime narratives through the lens of strategy, exposure, and psychological warfare. They explore how blackmail has become a central tool in maintaining control over compromised officials and institutions, and how information warfare, more than kinetic conflict, is driving the current phase of the Great Awakening. The duo revisits the fallout from Trump's conviction, dissecting whether it's a political misstep or a brilliantly executed trap meant to dismantle public trust in the justice system. From media meltdowns and odd regime behavior to Elon's unpredictable positioning and the ongoing globalist unraveling, Jon and Chris highlight the difference between genuine chaos and calculated exposure. Layering historical patterns with current-day comms, they offer a reminder: the game isn't being lost, it's being revealed. As the trap closes and the people awaken, the question is no longer if, but when, the scales finally tip. They explore the media's shifting tone as public support for Trump continues to rise, particularly among minority voters, and how that momentum is being met with desperation from regime actors. The hosts also examine the bizarre contradictions within the Biden campaign's messaging and fundraising efforts, pointing to signs of a campaign running on fumes. In this deep-dive edition of Badlands Story Hour, Chris Paul and Burning Bright are joined by retired Lt. Col. Oakland McCulloch to dissect the 1980 time-travel thriller The Final Countdown. What starts as a movie review quickly launches into a wide-ranging discussion on narrative warfare, military morality, and the cyclical nature of psyops across history. The hosts draw compelling parallels between Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and contemporary conflicts, questioning the intent behind “Russia's Pearl Harbor” narratives and exploring the power of storytelling in shaping public sentiment. With thoughtful analysis of leadership under uncertainty, Trump's layered communications, and the role of informational time travel, the episode challenges listeners to consider whether truth is enough, and if we're ready for it.
In this intellectually rich and refreshingly offbeat episode of Be Reasonable, Chris Paul welcomes cultural theorist and writer Constantin Von Hoffmeister for a high-level discussion on the forces shaping modern civilization. In this fast-paced May 30 edition of Badlands Daily, CannCon and Chris Paul dig into the growing panic in establishment media as Trump agrees to debate Biden, with one major condition: no teleprompters. They explore how this single stipulation is triggering a meltdown across networks and pundits who fear what a live, unscripted face-off might reveal. The hosts unpack the media's desperate defense of Biden's declining cognition, including the latest New York Times spin and Jake Tapper's awkward fact-check fail. They also examine the Left's escalating war on “disinformation,” spotlighting a bizarrely timed fact-check targeting CannCon himself and a crumbling narrative around Project 2025. Shifting gears, Chris and CannCon analyze a cascade of strategic data drops, declassified FBI notes, DOJ inconsistencies, and intel breadcrumbs hinting at bigger revelations to come. In this episode, we start by talking about the sad state of NBA coverage and why today's “hot take” culture has led people like Tony Allen and Carmelo Anthony to make bold proclamations doubting Cooper Flagg's NBA potential. We also talk about how it reminds us of the way Luka Dončić was talked about as a prospect in 2018 and even how some people discuss him now. We then transition to talk about the Mavs options at point guard this summer, covered in our recent article. We all agree that it's not worth the potential cost to acquire Jrue Holiday, who is 35 years old and is making a lot of money. While Lonzo Ball could be a nice fit with the Mavs, his injury issues make it necessary to acquire someone else to help shore up the backcourt. And while 40-year old Chris Paul might make the most sense to pair with Cooper Flagg, it's difficult to see a path to signing him, with the Mavs likely only having the league minimum to offer him. Vinay suggests the Mavs exploring options outside of those three players like Anfernee Simons and Colin Sexton, both who are currently under contract with other teams, but could provide more of what the Mavs need. Finally, we analyze Mavs CEO Rick Welts' recent comments at a Wall Street Journal event. He had one very revealing quote from the appearance: “We have since rethought a lot of procedures about how we'll do things in Dallas going forward” That quote seems to indicate that Mavs Governor Patrick Dumont's “In Nico We Trust” approach is officially dead. After the recent public relations disaster one could assume that there are now more checks and balances in place, and that any basketball decision the Mavs make needs to not threaten their business model like the Luka Dončić trade did. Welts becoming an increasingly public face of the Mavs franchise would indicate that he has earned significant trust with Dumont, and if anyone could put the bug in Dumont's ear about firing Nico Harrison, it might be him. In any case, time will tell. Thanks for reading Mavs Film Room! Subscribe for free to receive new posts. This is a public episode. Burning Bright and Chris Paul dive into Lawrence of Arabia in this sweeping episode of Badlands Story Hour, unpacking the cinematic grandeur and the layered commentary on empire, narrative warfare, and moral relativism. They explore T.E. Lawrence as a character crafted from myth, an effeminate yet hardened warrior whose legend was both operation and illusion. The discussion winds through parallels with Dune, reflections on British imperialism, the manipulation of tribal identities, and the modern weaponization of narrative. The hosts interrogate the tension between law and values, the decline of moral systems in favor of systemic control, and how the story itself becomes the most powerful weapon in regime hands. They also dissect generational warfare, information battles, and the continued relevance of Lawrence's tactics in today's geopolitical landscape, from Afghanistan to Ukraine. With references to the Balfour Declaration, regime storytelling, and even camel warfare logistics, this episode is both a masterclass in film analysis and a critique of the global narrative machine. Next week, the film club continues with The Final Countdown (1980), joined by Colonel Oak McCulloch.

In this mind-bending episode of Devolution Power Hour, Jon Herold and Chris Paul take listeners on a two-hour journey through quantum tech, media psyops, and the unraveling of physical reality itself. At the heart of the discussion is General Steven Kwast's bombshell interview on the Sean Ryan Show, where he outlines how quantum communication could rewrite history, and why it proves the existence of God. The hosts analyze what this means for military strategy, continuity of government, and even the foundational assumptions behind our reality. Trump's aggressive push for nuclear energy via the Defense Production Act is also dissected, alongside questions of executive power, devolution strategy, and wartime governance. The episode covers AI deepfakes, prompt theory, simulation parallels in media, and the potential misuse of quantum tech for surveillance or even historical erasure. Herold and Paul layer in philosophical and theological reflections, weaving in Trump's American Academy proposal, Harvard's colonial charter, Flynn's continuity of government warning, and Epstein file inconsistencies, all under a meta lens of truth, technology, and trust. This is not just political commentary, it's a philosophical expedition into power, perception, and the future

You get Denys Blazer and Chris Paul—two friends burning vacation days (and questionable amounts of coffee) to chase whispers from the beyond. From abandoned hospitals to sleepy backroads with more ghosts than gas stations, they've lugged recorders, EMF meters, and probably a few questionable snacks in search of answers—and sometimes just a name to put to that disembodied “hello.” Denys recounts the moment his grandfather's unmistakable presence cracked his reality wide open, while Chris explains how binge-watching haunted TV at 2 a.m. turned into fieldwork that would make most people sprint for the exit.
