We also discuss the other great saint of Ireland, Phil Lynott and as usual, Matt beats up on U2. A day after this was recorded, a poem by Bono was read in the US House of Representatives that was arguably the worst thing ever put to paper. So Matt's feeling pretty vindicated today. I'm co-directing a play. Nacho cheese in Philly steaks is a confirmed abomination. Thicc is a mood; so is disassembling the patriarchy. There's a lot to digest here
Hey, Brewcrew welcome to another amazing episode of Brewnomics. In this episode, we review four, count them, four Irish beers in celebration of St. Patricks day. We talk about whats going on with comics and the news, and our main focus was our weekend and guest spot on the Iron Horse brewery podcast called Life after Beer with Alex Grosby. We had a fantastic time hanging out with Alex and the Iron Horse marketing team who was in Boise this past weekend. Thanks again Iron Horse. Please grab a friend, grab a beer have a seat and listen to this great podcast. CHEERS!!!!! Don't forget to check out our Black Panther review https://youtu.be/cJhLLTzuz28
Podcast: Steve Lenox & Shawn Steiner from Prairie Street talk St. Patrick's Day Beers and What's Next for Them This podcast episode features head brewer Steve Lenox from Prairie St. Brewing Co. and his assistant brewer Shawn Steiner, talking about what's next for this young brewery. We also imbibe some Irish style beer, a little St. Patrick's Day history and indulge in some local music from Havana Honey. Tastings feature Central Water Ouisconsing Red Ale, Prairie St. Irish Stout and Feather Eye RyePA (aka Kelly RIPA) and a special home brew feature Nelson Sauvin and Hallertua Blanc hops!!! Adding to the shenanigans is our "Real or Fake: St. Patrick's Day Facts". The Home Brew Rock Stars team throws questions to Steve and Shawn about their craft brewing process and what might be changing in the near future..."can" we say distribution!? We also talk a little about their Pilot Series beers and that process where they brew experimental one barrel beers for their steady patrons to try out, adding a nice option for beer geeks and freaks. Share this podcast with your friends (below) and send us your feedback for what you'd like us to talk about. Plus...tune in for our next episode as we feature South Carolina brews and peeps from Holy City Brewing. A special thanks to our sponsors and friends from Pig Minds Brewing Co. HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY PEOPLE!!!! #drinkitup
We sat down with some friends from Four Day Ray and The Pint Cycle at FDR Brewery in Fishers. We in the tap room on kegging day (if you're wondering what those noises are), and we gained some additional education and insight in to traditional Irish beer styles just in time for St. Patrick's day! This is the first episode in our new Beer Education Series. Come learn with us! We cycle through a few beers in this episode. The first two are red ales: FDR's Kingstown Irish Red followed by Boulevard's Irish Red. The Four Day Ray beer is a little closer to the style with some added rye, and the Boulevard is a unique take on an Irish Red.We then try Guinness's relatively new, Rye Pale Ale and wrap things up with a Mofo Risin' Stout. We learn about some of the history of Irish style beer, what SRM's are, the best beer to sneak in to the new #BlackPanther movie, and that Hutch calls those who ride The Pint Cycle "passengers."Be sure to stop by Four Day Ray on March 16th and 17th and celebrate St. Patrick's Day for their, "Firkin St. Patrick's Day" event. Also, if'n you're in to whiskey - and more importantly, local whiskey, check out their "Whiskey Beer and Bites" event with West Fork Whiskey on March 15th.
