Aer Lingus has unveiled a major refresh of its mobile app, as part of an extensive upgrade programme designed to transform the digital travel experience for its customers. This multi-million euro app investment is a key milestone in the airline's broader digital vision to become a leader in customer-centric travel innovation. The new and improved Aer Lingus app introduces several new features aimed at delivering a more seamless, intuitive and helpful experience for customers, especially on the day of travel. These enhancements were developed in close collaboration with a dedicated research panel of 1,300 Aer Lingus customers, ensuring that the upgrades reflect genuine passenger needs and preferences. The mobile app upgrade has already resonated strongly with users, as reflected in the app's jump in ratings, from 3 stars to 4.8 on Android and 4.7 on iOS. App downloads have also increased by one-third (33%) compared to the same period last year. Over 2.2 million people in Ireland and 3.5 million globally have used the Aer Lingus mobile app in the last 12 months, showing the growing importance of mobile-first options for customers. Key app updates include: Live Flight Status via Live Activities, viewable directly on users' locked screens, keeping passengers informed in real-time. Wayfinding Support through Dublin Airport and New York (JFK), providing easy navigation to gates and key amenities. A Redesigned Home Screen, streamlining navigation for faster access to critical information. A completely reimagined My Trips section, now featuring a travel assistant and streamlined access to trip extras, greatly improving the day-of-travel experience. Almost 90% of app users from a recent survey of 5,000 rated the improved My Trips section either 4 or 5 stars. "Aer Lingus' app upgrade is much more than just a facelift, it's a major step forward in delivering a smarter, more personalised travel experience for our customers," said Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus. "From real-time updates to in-airport navigation, we're committed to improving every touchpoint of our customers' journey. These improvements reflect our ongoing investment in digital innovation and our belief that technology plays a central role in creating the best possible travel experience." This latest app refresh is part of a larger, multi-year digital transformation initiative at Aer Lingus focused on using technology to simplify, support and enhance the end-to-end customer journey. The Aer Lingus app is available to download on iOS and Android. See more stories here.

Straight from Apple Park at WWDC 2025, Andru Edwards, TechMe0ut, Kevin the Tech Ninja, Stephen Robles break down everything Apple just announced. This episode is a full debrief on the major platform shifts: iOS 26, macOS 26 (Tahoe), iPadOS 26, VisionOS 26, and the all-new Liquid Glass design language that transforms how every Apple platform looks and feels. iOS 26 brings a mix of practical upgrades and AI-infused enhancements. We talk about the new call screening and Hold Assist features that are tailor-made for anyone who hates phone trees, the smarter and more private Apple Intelligence tools that live entirely on-device, and how group chat just got an upgrade with polls, read receipts, and background customizations. Plus, there's the redesigned Camera app and a dedicated Games app finally making iOS more fun and flexible. macOS 26 Tahoe is all about productivity. Spotlight got a serious brain upgrade: you can now launch shortcuts, summarize PDFs, and trigger AI workflows right from the search bar. The new customizable folders and Live Activities make the desktop more dynamic, while Liquid Glass touches give everything a more fluid, transparent look. It's macOS reimagined to be both more powerful and more approachable. iPadOS 26 finally delivers the windowed multitasking experience we've been waiting for. You get Mac-style app windows, a draggable menu bar, better file management, and background exports in Final Cut. For people who want desktop-level productivity with tablet portability, this is the iPad update to watch. visionOS 26 pushes the spatial computing envelope. From lifelike Personas to persistent, room-anchored widgets, Vision Pro feels more immersive and personal than ever. We dive into the new Jupiter environment, support for 360-degree video playback, spatial scenes, and a better system for sharing environments in real-time with people in the same room or across the world. And Liquid Glass is a whole new visual language. Think depth, translucency, and UI that responds to light and motion. Whether it’s in widgets, the lock screen, or native apps, this new design makes Apple’s platforms feel unified and futuristic. Stick around for a sharp, honest take on what’s hype, and what’s actually going to change your workflow.Support the show: http://youtube.com/gearlive/joinSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

With major announcements across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and VisionOS, the group dives into what these updates mean for users, developers, and Apple's broader ecosystem strategy. The episode opens with panel introductions before jumping straight into VisionOS 26, where the team highlights Apple's focus on spatial computing. Features like interactive 3D widgets, refined Personas, and improved collaboration tools on Vision Pro generate both excitement and critical commentary. Marty and Eric share real-world experiences with spatial widgets, emphasizing their value in immersive environments. The panel acknowledges Apple's ambitious direction for Vision Pro as it evolves from a tech demo to a productivity and creative powerhouse. Next, the conversation moves into iOS 26, spotlighting the redesigned lock screen with dynamic wallpapers and a streamlined interface for messages and phone calls. Jeff praises the new call screening and RCS group chat support, both of which significantly improve communication experiences. Updates to the Camera app and accessibility tools also reinforce Apple's commitment to a more inclusive user experience. iPadOS 26 draws praise for finally bridging the productivity gap with macOS. The introduction of a new windowing system allows for desktop-like multitasking, and panelists are enthusiastic about the debut of the Preview app on iPad. The improved Files app and richer audio input options are celebrated as productivity boosters, making the iPad an even stronger contender as a primary computing device. Turning to macOS 15, the conversation continues around convergence — with iPad and Mac experiences growing closer than ever. Chuck and David discuss how feature parity is leading to more seamless transitions between devices, particularly for multitasking and app continuity. The panel also briefly touches on watchOS 11 and tvOS 18, noting updates in health, fitness, and media experience. While these updates were more iterative, they reflect Apple's steady enhancement of its peripheral platforms. One of the standout segments is a look at Apple Intelligence, Apple's new generative AI initiative. The group discusses how Apple's privacy-first approach to AI, combined with on-device and cloud-assisted processing, could change the way users interact with Siri, productivity apps, and automation. The discussion also covers how this impacts developers and third-party integrations moving forward. In the final stretch, the team speculates on the future of the iPad and Mac. Will they fully converge or continue to serve distinct roles? With the iPad gaining more macOS features and the Mac embracing touch-like elements, the lines continue to blur. The episode closes with a few announcements and community highlights, including a plug for Macstock 2024 — inviting listeners to connect in person and keep the Apple discussion going. We then dive in to our recap of this year's WWDC. We start off discussing the newly announced Apple Intelligence. And after years of false promises will Siri finally get smarter? We discuss some of the things the new Siri will supposedly be able to do. And here is how Siri will work with ChatGPT in iOS 18. And there are a bunch of new writing tools that will be powered by A.I. We then discuss all the new A.I. features coming to mail. The iPhone, iPad, and Mac will be getting a new Password Manager application. The app will also work on your Window devices. In iOS 18 and iPad 18 customizing your Home Screen will be a lot easier. And thankfully the global issue of iOS not supporting RCS messaging will be over. Control Center will become a lot more useful. Image Playground is another new app coming to iPhones and Macs. And there is a massive redesign coming to the Photos app. We then discuss all the new features coming to the iPad which are pretty much the same as the iPhone except you also get a calculator. Tap to send cash will be a new feature in iOS 18. Live phone recordings is a new feature that won't end in spectacular disaster. iOS 18 will now alert you when you are using a slow charger, but there is a catch. We then discuss all the new features coming to Mac OS Sequoia. iPhone Mirroring is coming to the Mac, but will it be accessible? Safari is also getting a massive revamp with a ton of A.I. features. Non-verbal gestures are coming to Air Pods near you. There are a lot of new health and fitness features coming to the Apple Watch along with Live Activities.
