Satanic NASA conspiracy theories launch headfirst into the absolute brain-rot of the internet to expose the "Satanic origins" of rocket science. If you want to understand how devil-worshipping explosives nerd Jack Parsons became the bizarre link between Aleister Crowley, Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, and the Apollo program... then this episode is your ultimate deep dive!So is NASA anti-Christian, or are conspiracy theorists just bad at spelling? This week, Judas and Lexi tackle the wild history behind the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the literal sex cults that fueled early American rocketry. We track Jack Parsons' "Suicide Squad" testing rockets at Devil's Gate on Halloween, uncover the truth behind L. Ron Hubbard running off with Parsons' money to buy yachts, and find out what really happens when two lonely occult nerds get together with some sacred tablets. But we don't stop at the 1940s sex magic. We go deep into modern internet lunacy, exploring why Flat Earth weirdos think the NASA logo vector is actually a serpent's tongue, the "Apollo vs. Apollyon" demon panic from the Book of Revelation, and the truth behind Project Blue Beam's fake second coming. From a 1960s tracking network acronym literally spelling out "SATAN," to the hilarious math behind why trolls claim "NASA" is just "Satan minus the T," we prove that demonizing science has always been the ultimate coping mechanism for dummies.Support the ShowWe're missing more than just the 'T' here! They tried to make video games for Jesus… and accidentally invented demon-possessed animatronics instead. Turns out the road from Christian propaganda to FNaF horror mega-hit is shorter than expected. Before creating Five Nights at Freddy's, Scott Cawthon spent years making christian movies and video games designed to glorify god. Critics said his characters were too creepy… so he leaned into it and launched one of the biggest horror franchises in gaming history. From there, things get weird. This episode explores the strange world of Christian video games, the moral panic around gaming, and the not-at-all hypocritical outrage over pixels, boobs, violence, and Satan. This week, we're digging into: The FNaF origin story: how a scary animatronic beaver led to Freddy Fazbear  The Scott Cawthon controversy: politics, donations, and reputation detonation  The “holy” hustle: the rise and collapse of Left Behind Games and Digital Praise (including SEC fraud allegations)  Bizarre moral logic: why gaming violence is “silly” but a cartoon boob is a one-way ticket to hell  “Seducing children”: decoding Satanic panic rhetoric from Christian game CEOs  The Hollywood factor: what the Josh Hutcherson movie gets right about child murder Whether you're here for the FNaF lore or the spectacular failure of the Christian video game industry, this one's for you.Got thoughts? This episode was first aired on 28/07/2022Is hydrogen gray until proven green? When looking into the energy transition and options for clean sources of energy, hydrogen is often listed as one of the key solutions for the future. The hype about its potential is undeniable, but so are the critics about its costs, efficiency and sustainability. In this podcast episode, you are invited to participate in a "trial by podcast," where you act as the jury, weighing evidence presented by both sides—Solar and Wind Energy versus Hydrogen—in a compelling debate over the viability and sustainability of hydrogen as a key player in the quest for a greener future. With exhibits ranging from research articles to interviews with experts like Jean-Marc Jancovici, the podcast offers a comprehensive overview of the current state of hydrogen technology, its economic feasibility, and its potential to revolutionize various sectors, from transportation to industrial processes. As an ‘expert witness', Allan Baker, Global Head of Power at Societe Generale*, discusses the state of play of Hydrogen in the economy.Ultimately, the episode challenges you to critically evaluate the evidence and form your own conclusions regarding the role of hydrogen in addressing climate change and advancing global sustainability efforts. As the trial concludes, it becomes evident that while hydrogen holds promise, further innovation and investment are necessary to realize its full potential as a sustainable energy solution in the journey towards Net Zero emissions.“Calling Hydrogen to the Stand” offers a unique blend of expertise, entertainment, and critical analysis, making it a standout addition to any listener's playlist. Presented as a "trial by podcast," this episode takes a creative approach to exploring the topic of renewable energy, providing an engaging and immersive experience for listeners as they become jurors in a compelling debate.*Since the episode originally aired, Allan Baker has been serving as Global Head of Advisory and Energy Transition at Societe Generale.About this showWelcome to 2050 Investors your monthly guide to understanding the intricate connections between finance, globalisation, and ESG.Join host Kokou Agbo-Bloua, Head of Economics, Cross-Asset & Quant Research at Societe Generale, for an investigation of the economic and market megatrends shaping the present and future, and how these trends might influence our progress to meeting 2050's challenging global sustainability targets. In each episode, Kokou deep dives into the events impacting the economy, financial markets, the planet, and society. Why was DOOM so controversial — and why did politicians, pastors, and parent groups try to ban it?In 1993, DOOM didn't just invent the modern first-person shooter — it also sparked a full-blown satanic moral panic. Banned in Germany, blamed for youth violence, linked to Columbine, and accused of promoting demonic symbols and devil worship, this gore-soaked trip through Hell turned Doomguy into a 90s counterculture icon.Created by id Software — including John Romero and John Carmack — DOOM spread across university networks via dial-up, crashed office servers, and became the poster child for debates over violent video games. From pixelated demons to real-world panic, we unpack how a video game ignited fear in churches, legislatures, and living rooms alike. If you loved this episode, check out our earlier deep dive into gaming and religious paranoia: “Gamer Satan” –  where we unpack how Christians decided controllers were gateways to Hell and why imaginary demons keep getting blamed for very real human behaviour. (Find it wherever you're listening now.) If you think demons belong in pixelated corridors and not in parliamentary hearings, you're our kind of sinner. If your church has a battle plan, colour coded demon maps, and something called a “prayer army”… you're not dealing with metaphor anymore. We track Spiritual Warfare into the modern era — where “principalities and powers” become the New Apostolic Reformation, Dominionism, Christian Nationalism, and strategic-level spiritual warfare inside the charismatic and evangelical movements. What started as an internal struggle with sin now fuels prayer armies, spiritual mapping, Christian Surveillance, and open talk of taking back governments for God.From Michael Harper popularising the term in 1970, to C. Peter Wagner and Cindy Jacobs outlining multi-level battle strategies, we unpack how charismatic leaders reframed demonology as political action. Ground-level prayer. Occult-level enemy hunting. If your god is all-powerful, why does he need backup? Somewhere between “not against flesh and blood” and organized christian exorcism, the idea of spiritual warfare turned a metaphor about personal temptation turned into a full-blown cosmic battle plan — complete with the Armor of God from Ephesians 6!In this episode we trace how our old mate Paul's language about “principalities and powers” evolved into demon panic, virtue cosplay, holy war rhetoric, and modern evangelical spiritual warfare and culture war politics. From Origen's internal battle with sin to Bunyan's allegorical demon politics to 17th-century Catholic exorcism manuals, we unpack how spiritual warfare became a theological Swiss army knife — used to explain temptation, demon possession, dissent, minorities, skepticism, and culture war Christianity. Andrew Tate thinks Satanists secretly run the world, worship karma, control pop culture, and advertise their crimes in plain sight — which is a bold claim from the king of toxic masculinity given he's wrong about Satanism, morality, science, himself, and literally everything else.Join us as we break down Emory Andrew Tate III's loud, confident, and wildly incorrect takes on Satanism, atheism, Islam, morality, masculinity, and “evil,” and examine why Satanic Panic remains such a reliable coping mechanism for misogyny and fragile masculinity. From Hustlers University pseudo-philosophy and fake science to conspiracy thinking about pop stars, the Olympics, and imaginary Satanic elites, this episode shows how confidence without comprehension turns grievance into ideology.Along the way we explain what Satanists actually believe (spoiler: not karma, not devil worship, not secret world domination), why Tate's moral framework collapses under even mild scrutiny, and how figures like him repackage insecurity as strength while blaming Satan, women, and “the West” for their own failures.Satan Is My Superhero is a satirical, research-heavy podcast that uses comedy, history, and skepticism to expose superstition, religious nonsense, and cultural bullshit — especially when Satan gets blamed for men behaving badly. Send us a textSupport the showWelcome, Sinners! This episode was first aired on 29/01/2025How did the banking system evolve from a simple bench—the very origin of the word “bank”—into the sophisticated institutions that drive the global economy?Banks are more than just institutions. With over 4,000 years of history, they have played a pivotal role in powering industrial revolutions, transforming dreams into reality, and adapting to the evolving needs of clients across generations. From economic booms to busts, they have stood the test of time, channeling funding like the lifeblood of the economy and serving as critical cogs in the machinery of society. Banks have turned the alchemy of compound interest—Einstein's “8th wonder of the world”—into a driving force behind economic growth. In this episode of 2050 Investors, Kokou Agbo-Bloua dives into the essential role of banks and the foundations of the global banking system. Through his analysis, he explores the power of compound interest, the history of banking and the evolution of business models and regulatory frameworks. Highlighting their role as financial intermediaries, Kokou unpacks how they contribute to societal and economic progress through fractional reserve banking.Later in the episode, Kokou interviews Slawomir Krupa, as the bank marks its 160th anniversary. Slawomir reflects on how Societe Generale has remained true to its original mission of combining innovation with strength in its business model. He discusses the bank's focus on sustainability and responsibility, emphasizing its vital role in financing the economy, supporting transformational projects, and offering strategic advice to clients to drive these developments. He also shares insights on how climate change and AI are driving institutions to reinvent themselves. This episode is a compelling exploration of the past, present, and future of banking, offering fresh insights into how this age-old institution continues to influence our lives and economies.About this showWelcome to 2050 Investors, your monthly guide to understanding the intricate connections between finance, globalisation, and ESG. Join host Kokou Agbo-Bloua, Head of Economics, Cross-Asset & Quant Research at Societe Generale, for an exploration of the economic and market megatrends shaping the present and future, and how these trends might influence our progress to meeting 2050's challenging global sustainability targets. If you like 2050 Investors, please leave a five-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. In this episode we compile chapters 4, 5 and 6 of the Book of Revelation into one easy volume.Have you ever wondered what happens when ancient religious texts and hallucinogenic experiences collide? Our latest deep dive into the Book of Revelation might just convince you that John of Patmos was experiencing something far more chemical than divine. Taking you straight through heaven's door in Chapter 4, we explore John's fantastical descriptions of beings that shine like precious stones, a floor made of glass "like unto crystal," and creatures covered in eyes with faces of lions, calves, men, and eagles. We compare these vivid visions to documented medical cases of hallucinations, including a fascinating 2022 paper describing patients who see "colourful crystal sheens" during altered states of consciousness. The parallels are undeniable and hilarious. The biblical connections run deep as we trace John's inspiration to earlier prophets like Ezekiel and Isaiah, showing how he borrowed elements from their visions while adding his own psychedelic twist. We dissect the significance of jasper and sardine stones, analyze the mysterious sea of glass (with at least six competing interpretations), and question whether eternal existence spent repeating "Holy, holy, holy" truly represents paradise. Our irreverent analysis adds yet another theory to what Revelation might actually be – beyond prophecy, coded rebellion literature, xenophobic propaganda, or incel manifesto, we now must consider "hallucination dream journal" as a strong possibility. Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, or somewhere in between, our comedic breakdown offers fresh insights into this ancient text that continues to fascinate and perplex readers across millennia. Listen now, and remember – as we always say at the end – that's why Satan is my superhero. In Chapter 5 YHWH clutches an unreadable book, a slain lamb shows up with seven horns and seven eyes, and a countless horde of angels simps hard for the apocalypse. Also featuring: thoughts and prayers (now available in jar form), David Koresh laying down the rules, and Jesus—just a lonely guy looking for love.Expect savage biblical satire, original comedy sketches, and even some punk rock as we question the foundations of Christian prophecy, Heaven, and the entire end times narrative. Whether you're into religious history, skepticism, or just love blasphemous comedy, this deep dive will crack you up and crack the seals wide open (you see what we did there...).And finally in chapter 6 The Four Horsemen arrive and one of them might be riding a green My Little Pony named Minty. Join us as we plunge headfirst into the book of revelation 6, where John of Patmos takes a break from persecution to write the wildest fanfiction in biblical history.Expect plague balls, Elon Musk jokes, martyrs begging God for blood vengeance, and the rich elites hiding in caves — some things never change.  If you've ever been cast out, laughed at, or told you're going to Hell—welcome home.  Made for the misfits, the weirdos, the godless and the damned—Satan Is My Superhero is your unholy sanctuary.  Send us a textSupport the showWelcome, Sinners! Send us a textIn this episode of the Run Strong Run Podcast, I sit down with new marathoner and mom of two, Vicky Hurd, a.k.a. @marathonmamav, who went from zero running routine to 26.2 miles at the Every Woman's Marathon in just over a year.Vicky shares how she went from running eighth-grade cross country “just to make the soccer team” to becoming a runner again after kids, inspired by everyday runners she saw online. We talk about her decision to run one race every month, the brutal first half marathon that almost broke her, and how she turned that experience into a full-hour PR at her next half simply by trusting her plan.We also dive into what it's really like training for a first marathon as a full-time working mom with a 3-year-old and 18-month-old, why she did most of her early miles on the treadmill out of fear and embarrassment, and how community—online and in person—carried her through the hardest miles of race day in Scottsdale. If you've ever wondered, “Can I really do this?” when it comes to a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or full marathon, Vicky's story will feel like a permission slip to start scared and show up anyway. In this episode, we talk about:How Vicky went from “not a runner” to racing every month for a yearThe couch-to-5K journey that turned into multiple half marathons and a fullThe disaster first half marathon that taught her to stick to her planWhy she spent four months running only on the treadmill before braving the parkTraining for a marathon as a working mom of two small kids (4 a.m. alarms and all)The emotional highs and lows of the Every Woman's MarathonVicky's go-to gear and fuel: Goo Tane, Bonk Breaker chews, and Brooks GlycerinHer advice to anyone afraid to take the first step: “Do it scared.”
