Saving American Liberty, Session 6 At the Saving American Liberty learning seminar hosted by New Discourses in Dallas, Texas, on August 22-23, 2025, New Discourses founder James Lindsay and Sovereign Nations founder Michael O'Fallon sat down in front of the audience for a live, unscripted, and raw discussion about the circumstances and challenges Lindsay has faced for standing up to the "New Right" (or, if you want, "Dissident Right," "Postliberal Right," or "Woke Right"). The audience was shocked to hear what Lindsay revealed. Their conversation wasn't limited only to this issue, however. It also tied Lindsay's personal experience into the broader context of the radical movements we're facing from both Left and Right at the same time, helping people to make sense of the bigger play that's taking place that is neither Left nor Right but using radical elements within both to cut our society apart like a pair of scissors. Join Lindsay and O'Fallon and their live audience for this unique conversation so you can gain clarity and perspective on what's happening all around us in the war against Woke. In today's Saturday School, Mark Bell breaks down one of the most important lessons in training and in life:You're going to look awkward before you ever get good. You're going to feel insecure. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Political correspondent Ariela Karmel and diplomatic reporter Nava Freiberg join host Jessica Steinberg for today's episode. As the Prime Minister's Office announces Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump on December 29 in the US, Freiberg notes that the two leaders will discuss the next phases of the Gaza peace plan. She says the emerging security arrangements between Israel and Syria are also on the table and discusses media reports that Netanyahu was meant to sign a security agreement with Syria in September, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. Karmel and Freiberg review different aspects of the 40-signature debate earlier this week in the Knesset, in which Netanyahu publicly supported the current Haredi draft bill for the first time. The prime minister also defended Israel's international standing, pointing to the recent visit of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and his regular phone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Karmel discusses a special Knesset panel formed to advance Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi’s controversial media bill and bypass the Knesset Economics Committee run by Likud MK David Bitan, given the lack of consensus in Karhi's own Likud party over the bill meant to overhaul Israel's broadcast media. A federal vaccine advisory committee recently voted to end the decades-old recommendation that all U.S. newborns get a hepatitis B vaccine dose at birth. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted that only infants born to mothers who test positive for hepatitis B — or whose infection status is unknown — are recommended to get that first dose immediately. The vote could result in new guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is a dramatic shift from the CDC's current policy, which was adopted in 1991 and is credited with reducing childhood hepatitis B infections by more than 95 percent. MPR News guest host Chris Farrell talks with a pediatrician and an infectious disease researcher about what the new recommendation means for families, hospitals and communities in Minnesota that are disproportionately affected by the liver infection.Guests:Dr. Leslie King-Schultz is a pediatrician at Hennepin Healthcare where she co-chairs their vaccine committee.Angela Ulrich is a researcher and infectious disease epidemiologist with the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. She was one of the lead authors on the Vaccine Integrity Project's recent report about the safety and effectiveness of the hepatitis B vaccination at birth.

Kentucky is experiencing its largest spike in whooping cough cases since 2012, an alarming rise that has already claimed the lives of three infants in the past year. In this episode, Dr. Steven Stack, Secretary of Kentucky's Cabinet for Health and Family Services, joins us to unpack what's driving the surge, why waning vaccination rates matter, and how misinformation is complicating public health response efforts. Dr. Stack, ASTHO member and former ASTHO president, explains the cyclical nature of pertussis, how the pandemic disrupted typical disease patterns, and why the current spike is more severe than expected. He discusses the heartbreaking reality that none of the infants who died were vaccinated, and neither were their mothers, despite well-established evidence that maternal vaccination can provide newborns with lifesaving early protection.Creating Shared Vision and Governance for Data Modernization in Vermont | ASTHODon't Panic! CDC vaccine advisers have voted to end universal newborn Hepatitis B vaccination and move to a high‑risk‑only approach. Pediatricians warn this reversal of a decades‑old policy could increase infant infections and undermine progress made since the 1990s. Critics say ACIP is ignoring long‑established evidence that universal vaccination prevents mother‑to‑child transmission. The World Bank reports that, "today, more than half of the world's population – over 4 billion people – lives in cities." It also estimates that this shift is going to continue, in fact to DOUBLE to nearly 70% – or 7 out of every 10 people will live in cities by 2050. That's only 25 years away. At the same time, extreme weather events are increasingly devastating cities – we have all witnesses how Hurricane Melissa decimated Jamaica last week, for example, destroying home and businesses, schools, houses of worship, government buildings, everything. So what can, should and ARE cities doing to keep their people and economies safe and climate resilient? What's working and what can we learn from them? Gratitude is a posture. Thanksgiving is an action. When you understand how they work together, you begin to see clearly, move boldly, and respond to life from a place of divine strength. This Walk It Out Wednesday message dives into how a grateful heart and thankful lips release transforming power that grounds you, fuels your purpose, and realigns you with God's design for your life. In this message, you'll find out how to: • Use gratitude to stabilize your heart when life feels uncertain. • Let thanksgiving propel you through draining and difficult seasons. • See the opportunities God hides inside your challenges. • Break cycles of discouragement by shifting your spiritual position. • Rebuild confidence through your identity and design in Christ. When combined, the feeling of gratitude and the outward expression of thanksgiving unlock a spiritual momentum that shifts everything in your life.
