There is something so powerful about drag, if you look closely, each queen or so had a hard time in highschool, navigating their identity, suffering with bullies etc and drag is a beautiful way to tell the world that you can be absolutely everything you want and even more. it's such a unique way to express yourself, the masculine and feminine version inside of everyone of us. And i thought it would be a great reminder to talk about your story Violet to give everyone the confidence to think that having a hard time isn't the end of the road but only what it is : a obstacle to learn from !
Have you been to a pig pickin? It's nearly Pride Month and this week Zach experienced sleep paralysis while DIVOS bought Bob Mackie from Violet Chachki. It's busy season for the pair but one thing remains their priority... make sure you get home safe
Caution! Mess with this bear and you're gonna get the claws-or at least the pinky one. I chatted with the dexterously debonaire Broody Valentino about being a bear of paradise in a land full of flannels, bringing the DRAMA to New York City Boylesque, gothing out with the gurls of SqueezeBox, supersizing the glamour and burlesquing beauty standards, cuddling with pigeons and making marionettes cry, structured madness with the inimitable Susanne Bartsch, and why you don't have to try so hard to be sexy because, baby, you already are. Shout outs to Matt Knife, Jonny Porkpie, Violet Chachki, Dirty Martini, Patti LuPone, Susanne Bartsch, Amanda Lepore, and the timeless Kermit the Frog. A graduate of the New York School of Burlesque, Broody's mixture of the classic and the irreverent has made him a fixture on the NY Boylesque scene. Balancing theatricality and camp has garnered him the epithet “The Telenovela of Burlesque” which has allowed him to: perform for the 2020 Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame (VHOF), the 2018 Life Ball in Vienna, Austria, headline at the 2019 Capitol Burlesque Expo in Ottawa, Canada, receive the Legends Award at the 2018 Burlypicks World Championship, and be crowned the reigning King of New Jersey Burlesque at the New Jersey Burlesque Festival. His other awards include the titles Best Overall, Master of Improv, and Master of Amazement at the first New Jersey Burlypicks Regional, the Golden Tassel for Best Boylesque at the 2017 Philadelphia Burlesque Awards, and The Beautiful Weirdo award at the 2017 Alterna-tease Neo-burlesque festival. A proud member of the Latinx Burlesque community, Broody enjoys challenging the concepts of masculinity and body image through the use of humor, sensuality, and style showing audiences that the big guys can sparkle with the best of them!

On the show today… The Grammys took place today so now we need to break down the wildest red carpet looks and yes, there is a clear winner when it comes to the best-dressed star. In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry sensationally detailed how he lost his virginity (behind a pub with a bit of rump smacking, in case you forgot) but never named the woman. Now the lady in question has come forward with her side of the story, but we have some questions about her motivation. And Armie Hammer has given his first ‘tell all' interview following a series of allegations against him that caused him to be dropped from all upcoming film roles. In the interview, Armie talks about his BDSM history and the way Hollywood turned against him, yet his explanations for what happened, and the cancelation talk around him, have missed the real story.

The Balut Kiki Project: Uniquely Pinoy. Unapologetically Queer.
Pagpapatuloy lamang ito ng ating maharot na kikihan with drag super queens Miss Clea Torres and Miss Maria Christina!Matapang nilang sasagutin ang mga nabiting issues from the previous episode like having sex in drag, the business of tucking and the inevitable 'accidents', at ang laban at pakikipagtagisan ng galing, ganda, at talento ng mga Pinoy drag artists versus the best of the rest of the world. Alamin natin: may laban nga ba ang mga reynang Pinoy versus the likes of Bob the Drag Queen, Monet X Change, Violet Chachki, Bianca Del Rio? Must-listen ang 2-episode serving of artistic realness ng Project for aspiring drag artists and creative minds. How lucky are we to have the darling Adam Johannesson grace on the podcast this week. From the lows of making an unfortunate calendar-based Twitter faux pas to the highs of a stupendous, scintillating, splendiferous Violet Chachki performance, today's episode is a shining beacon of light upon a hilltop surround by the dreck that is the contemporary podcast oeuvre. This week, Bunnie gets a wild and crazy visit from Nashville’s Finest Drag Queens, Vanity and Danica. They talk about how they got into the drag scene, advice for those looking to make the move into the industry, how to embrace the unique version of yourself, no matter what it looks like to others, and what it really means to monster mash yourself. Then, they play the Filthy Phrases game, and it gets dirty. Takeaways: Danica and Vanity, Nashville’s finest Drag Queens, both know what it feels like to be judged and not fully accepted for who you are on the outside. That’s why they are so inclusive and encourage everyone to be humble, kind, and let others live how they want to. Vanity started doing drag makeup when she was 14, and has been on stage performing for 7 years. The term non-binary can mean different things to different people. It can be used to describe someone who doesn’t exclusively identify as male or female, and may experience their gender as a spectrum of both or neither. For Danica, the they/them pronouns are preferred. Danica describes their Drag look, Piranha Del Rey as Texas Chainsaw Massacre but with everything pink and pastel. For those inspired by their awesomeness and looking to be a Drag Queen, both Danica and Vanity advise you to do your research, don’t be discouraged, and remember to embrace the uniqueness that is yourself. Quotes: “I can be masculine and powerful and have pink hair in the same breath.” - V “Artistry wise for me, I don’t want to be put in a box. I want to be able to do it all.” - V “Be humble, and be kind to everyone.” - D “I’m a born again virgin, but not by choice.” - B Mentioned: Vanity Danica | Tik Tok Piranha Del Rey Play Dance Bar Tribe The Fruit Loop Las Vegas Dragula RuPaul’s Drag Race Violet Chachki The Pretty Reckless Check out Bunnie: @xomgitsbunnie BunnieXo @officialdumbblonde
Violet Chachki is the very embodiment of the Heretic ethos—a modern-day provocateur and wellspring of glamour, transgression, seduction, and fetishistic desire. Gliding effortlessly between the once segregated spheres of masculine and feminine, Violet represents the essence of modern celebrity, a luminous Lady Liberty unshackled from antiquated conventions and stereotypes. To celebrate the release of our fragrance collaboration 'Dirty Violet', we talk with Violet about scent and of course their journey to becoming the Empress of drag performance.
Casey Spooner stopped by Craig’s AirBnb to announce his presidential campaign as well as talk music industry espionage, accidentally moving to Paris, benefits & galas, unravelling, international affairs, “Opening Night”, growing up gay in the South in the 80s, the origins of Fischerspooner, traveling light, Casey’s custom Nike presidential active-wear, fabricating value, God’s Love We Deliver, bidding wars, World Pride, the seedy underbelly of the fine art world, “Body Double”, being friends with Violet Chachki, getting wrapped up into the Prada family, democracy vs. capitalism, learning on the job, sexuality, songs of compersion, making “Sir” with Michael Stipe, losing your mind onstage, losing your money on touring, and MORE! As a special treat, we’re joined by the fabulous Mike Potter for a few minutes at the end and discuss Merv Griffin, Gucci, vomit, and why the next president should be single. In this week’s episode of The Official RuPaul's Drag Race Podcast, producer and Drag Race herstorian John Polly recaps Season 11 Episode 5 “Monster Ball” – and goes trick or treating with two of Drag Race’s most terrifyingly fabulous femme fatales, Season 10’s Mayhem Miller and Season 7’s champion, Violet Chachki! In this lucky 13th episode of DarkDox Digest, Christian Coffins analyses and Netflix’s new interactive film, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. A brilliantly executed live action, role playing, very meta, game/film that is an homage to “choose your adventure” books which were popular in the 1980’s where this film is set. Underneath of the fun and games of it all, like any other Black Mirror story line, there is something very sick and twisted that is festering…In other news, DarkDox’s Facebook page has been unpublished due to sharing the photograph of a ten year old “drag queen” who was posing for a photo with a naked adult man.On Sunday, January 13th, 2019, DarkDox’s Facebook page got a few warning for our last post, “DarkDox Digest No12 #kinderdrag is #pedogate with your host Christian Coffins” and the direct link to the live podcast on BlogTalkRadio. This was what we disputed it with:Facebook unpublished DarkDox’s page when we called out pedophile photographer Jonathan Frederick Turton for taking an Instagram Photo of 10 Year Old Nemis Golden who’s drag stage name is Queen Lactacia embracing a naked Jason Dardo who was the Season 7 winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, whos drag name is Violet Chachki. This has nothing to do with drag culture or the LGBTQ movement and everything to do with child abuse. We do not wish to glorify this behavior, but rather condemn and expose it for the criminal activity that it is. DarkDox.com has been dedicated for years to bring criminal elements in our society, specifically that take advantage of underage children sexually. We are a group of recovering victims who spend hours on end, day after day, trying to make legitimate court cases for the victims of this type of institutionalized and shockingly socially acceptable form of abuse. Please join the social media conversation at #EATruthRadio and support us here! Around The Dial stops at The Bachelorette, Nurse Jackie, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and some more adorable local TV ads, and then a mini-Game Time just for Mark regarding a recent Tiny Triumph. Listener Patrick Felton submits the "Wacky Delly" episode of Rocko's Modern Life for submission to the Canon, and then after the Winner and Loser, it's on to Name Ti-- excuse us, "Game Time." Tuck in and enjoy!Special Guest: Mark Blankenship. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
After a great White Party at the Parliament House in Orlando, FL and interviewing Pearl, Violet Chachki and Kennedy Davenport from Season 7 of Rupaul's Drag Race we spill the T on what happened BEFORE and AFTER the microphone was on as well as which one of the queens thinks Justice is an asshole now and which one came over to hang out. Atomyc becomes the visual producer of the show despite Justice having trust issues, Adrien recounts her live performance and Rob remembers gay men getting patted down in Denver. Halfway through the show someone started drilling for oil right above the studio and a trans female to male dude might grace the cover of Men's Health for the first time. Jokes, news and MORE!!!!! Feat. Justice, Atomyc, MrMs Adrien and Rob Ward. #GayRadioShow
Talking to Pearl, Kennedy Davenport and Violet Chachki about everything from coming up with an excuse as to where you were when the show was being filmed and the part of doing drag that hurts the most. Violet Chachki’s long hair and her thoughts on Michelle Visage. Kennedy compares doing pageants to competing on Drag Race . Pearl talks about getting attention for his looks as a boy on the show along with favorite cartoons, movie inspired drag names and celebrity judges. The first word that comes to mind on their fellow queens, which queen likes younger guys, which queen likes older tops and which queen likes doing poppers in drag. What the queens hope viewers will take from this season of Rupaul’s Drag Race. Follow us on Twitter @GayRadioShow #GayRadioShow
