Secrets of Staffing Success

It's a bonus episode this week, taken from Lunch with Haley.   Can you create demand for temporary staffing? Today, around 2% of non-farm employment are temporary jobs. With 25,000 staffing companies competing for that business, winning clients has become exceptionally hard. But what if you could create demand for staffing? What if you could help employers to fill a larger percentage of job openings with contingent workers? Some studies have projected that as much as 10% of non-farm jobs could be temporary jobs. That's 5x more staffing. Think about the impact that would have for your business! In this Lunch with Haley webinar, we're bringing together some of the top sales minds in the industry to talk about demand generation. We're going to look at the ways staffing can be used strategically to help companies to control labor costs, improve productivity, manage risk, and capitalize on new business opportunities. And we'll discuss how staffing sales professionals can use topics like these to sell more strategically and differentiate their sales process and messaging from their competitors. What do you wish you could tell everyone about their own wealth and financial success? Thinking about the future is intimidating. As someone that works in long-term care, I know firsthand how much we'll do to not think about the future. But when it comes to retirement, and building wealth especially for Gen-X, Millennials and Gen-Z, what do we need to be doing now? We live in economically uncertain times. Whether it's tariffs, inflation, interest rates or egg prices, every day brings new excitement. Steve Bailie, Branch Manager for Helena Agri in Monroe, has been busy with his staff combing through combine harvest records for the past few weeks.  He says some farms have been surprised by the end result of what had been a challenging growing season.  With those surprises, though, comes questions about what nutrients were pulled from those fields and need to be replaced in 2025. Bailie is like many in agriculture, anxious about what might happen with fertilizer supplies and prices in the new calendar year.  He's encouraging all farms to work with their vendors on locking in prices and volumes as soon as you can.  Bailie's also reminding growers about the package effect that Helena Agri offers to any operation. Bailie says his tech team is still grid soil sampling to get precise rates on where that fertilizer has to go.  They're also evaluating each hybrid for every field to make sure resources aren't wasted.  Bailie uses the analogy of managing your herd.  Some of your animals are going to be top end milk producers.  Others may not be top end milk producers, but the produce fantastic calves.  Knowing what strengths and challenges every field faces helps manage resources and traits efficiently.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Episode 11 Fall 2024 I'm fanatical about customer service and experience. In any place with a decent population of people, there are scoundrels, crooks, and people who do poor work. But... some terrific people do a good job and care about making their customers happy. Today, I'll share just three examples of people who have served me with exceptional service. Jay Gouy with Hot Springs Shad & Screen Solutions - hsscreens.com - (501) 300-9942 Dr. Kristi Golden, DDS - Plaza Carmona Dental Associates - (501) 922-2600 Advantage Title & Escrow - Marla Caldwell, Branch Manager - goadvantagetitle.com - (501) 984-4106 These are my experiences. As with all purchases, be cautious. Don't pay in full upfront. I paid Jay half up front so he could order the materials necessary to complete our job. We didn't pay him the balance until the work was completed. All along the way, he informed me of when he placed the order for the supplies when they arrived, and when he'd deliver them so the job could be started. Like all professionals who take pride in their work, he communicated all along the way. Likewise, Dr. Kristi's office communicated before and after the visit. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth observed that my gums were slightly inflamed due to my need for a good, deep cleaning (it had been over a year since I had been to a dentist). Dr. Kristi examined me thoroughly and pronounced my teeth "looked good." So much for that charlatan who told me I needed $8,000 worth of work! Marla and her team at Advantage Title & Escrow communicated at every turn via their secure portal (commonplace for real estate transactions). They were exceptional in communicating and handling the details of our house purchase. These are the common traits of professional, upstanding business people. There are plenty of them inside and outside Hot Springs Village. “I talked about how I didn't process things in my journals. Well, in poetry, I did. All of a sudden, it was cracking that door open.” - Ari TisonWhen we're kids, the world still feels so big. Everything is a discovery, from why flowers bloom to why we go to school and what it feels like to make friends… everything is new. But for some kids, life can hit faster than they're ready to process. The logical side, the “why,” isn't as important as the safe space to feel the emotions. In Ari's native Bribri culture, monsters play an important role in stories, but for Ari the monsters were also present in her real life. She was young and unable to understand or logically process her trauma when she experienced it, but through reading and writing poetry, Ari found an emotional outlet. A debut author, Ari has already gained critical acclaim for her novel, “Saints of the Household,” which earned accolades such as the Walter Award, the Walden Award, and the Pura Belpré Award. She's also an accomplished poet, using her craft to delve into deep themes of identity, healing, and self-discovery.In this episode, Ari shares how art connects her to her ancestral heritage. She discusses her unheard call for help with poetry, healing at her own pace, spirituality, the poets who shaped her writing, growing up between multiple places and cultures, and much more. ***Ari's reading challenge, YA With Creative Structures, is inspired by her forthcoming novel, “Together We See.” She has curated a list of books that take unconventional approaches to structure, from the use of time to the inclusion of unexpected narrators. Kevin & Fred's Next Level Podcast: Quick Tips for Realtors and Interviews from the best in the real estate business

As agents, building a database and adding value to our sphere has been drilled into us. We took that same mindset and strategy, and applied it to our peers and agent relationships. Just like we're told to host events and send gifts to our top clients, we do the same for the agent community.  We can attribute getting into this business and succeeding in it to the different agents and entrepreneurs who advised us. Now we get to give back to the same community and show people that there are many different ways to succeed in this business.  We also have to attribute our real estate business and successful partnership to dumb luck and many things that just fell into place and put us in the way of luck. Today, I sat down with our good friend, mortgage industry leader, business coach, and VP/Branch Manager of Nova Home Loans, Greg Gale. We talk about our business journey and all the things we've managed to build.  Quotes  We've never once fought over a dollar. We disagree, we have different opinions but we never fight over it. What's more important is where we're going and our end goal. -Kevin Kauffman   The word mastermind has been bastardized by our industry. What many call masterminds are actually classes. -Kevin Kauffman   If you do your business towards what you're built for, it's going to be way better. -Greg Gale Guest Info Greg Gale is a mortgage industry leader, business coach, and VP/Branch Manager of Nova Home Loans. Greg joined the mortgage industry in 2005. Prior to that, he was a personal trainer and martial arts instructor for 17 years. Greg notes that 20 years of martial arts, where persistence, honor, and integrity are the heart of daily practice, was a perfect lead into his role as financial advisor in the mortgage industry. The Gale Team at NOVA Home Loans is a full-service loan origination service, committed to providing innovative mortgage solutions and real estate strategies. In his role as team leader, Greg stresses the importance of integrity, a positive attitude, patience, creativity, and respect for all things.  This team defines communication as one of the single most important elements in a successful loan transaction. They are committed to returning calls promptly, providing regular status updates, and being available as needed throughout the process. Greg and his team really listen to clients' needs and then seek the best possible solutions, more often than not exceeding their client's expectations. The team's priority is to provide exceptional and memorable service. On a personal note, Greg is absolutely passionate about helping other people and is a regular contributor to the American Heart Association and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Greg is also a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers.  Follow @greg_gale_ on Instagram.   CTA Please leave us a review at https://ratethispodcast.com/nla
