Men de gamle og tunge drenge bed stadigvæk fra sig i ‘83: Ozzy, Dio, Sabbath, Lizzy, Motörhead, Maiden, Priest og Accept. Sidstnævnte med en sand metal schlager-slagsang i “Balls To The Wall”. Studievært Jens "Jam" Rasmussen rocker året benhårdt igennem sammen med de tre top-kyndige studiegæster: Steffen Jungersen, Michael Stützer Hansen og Michael Denner. Nedslagspunkter: - Hardcore punken rykker i studieværten, der ser pogo, slamdans og stagediving udfolde sig til koncerten med engelske G.B.H. i København i marts ‘83. - Efterfølgende undrer studieværten sig: hvorfor er der ingen bands, som kombinerer hardcore punkens aggressive fart med metallens tyngde og gnistrende guitarer? På “Bark At The Moon” var Rhoads erstattet af guitaristen Jake E. Lee, der gik rent ind hos Jungersen og Stützer. - Black Sabbath forbløffer med Ian Gillan som frontmand på “Born Again”. Albummet skiller vandene. Jungersen og Stützer forklarer, og samstemmer: Sabbath og Gillan skulle altså ikke have spillet “Smoke On the Water” den aften i Falkoner Teatret. - Dansk heavy metal rykker med Pretty Maids og Witch Cross, som står på scenen til studieværtens metal koncertdebut. Now, we have another contender for best flick of the year, and this one is going to BLOW YOUR MIND! Hailing from the land down under, and bringing some insane martial arts thunder, is one of the GREATEST straight to video films we've ever witnessed, ‘Life After Fighting'! Directed by, written by, and starring martial arts maestro Bren Foster, this explosive fight fest brings an onslaught of martial arts melees at the highest level, both in terms of choreography and execution, as well as a moving story with characters that you are truly invested in. Throw in an atrociously vicious and vile villain, and strong performances that exceed the expectations of the genre, and everyone can find something to enjoy in this truly compelling picture. This week we meet Rachelle Jones who, along with her husband, became a member of the ICOC in 2014. She left the church in 2019 for a variety of reasons. Her testimony dispells the story that the church has changed its controling practices since the appearance of the letter in 2003. Rachelle discusses with us how she and her husband joined the church. Like many of us, she describes entering the church with a backpack full of emotional luggage. She discusses how she felt betrayed and deceived by the bible studies as she deems them now to be a series of indocrtination studies. While a member, Rachelle came across the Grief Recovery Method through a tragic event in her life. She thought that the program was valuable as it helped her process the ensuing trauma of said event. She attempted to introduce the program to people in her church. The church leadership was not keen on allowing outside influences into their rank, even if the information might be beneficial, according to Rachelle's story. Rachelle speaks with us about her level of commitment with the organization and how she viewed and experienced things while she was a member. Rachelle Jones is currently a Grielf Recovery Specialist.
