Send us a textThe Alpha Tango Foxtrot, an unconstitutional agency filled with totalitarians who think nothing of raiding the homes of American citizens and shooting them dead, has raided yet another family, pointing guns at a 2A activist, his wife and their young daughters, ordering them out of the house in cold weather (which they seem to delight in), and terrorizing them for reasons yet unknown. No arrests were made, and the only thing the criminals with badges took was the dad's cell phone. This was nothing more, and certainly nothing less, than a flex against innocent citizens for the sake of spreading terror,...and for that, every agent there needs to be sentenced to 10 years at hard labor.Link to Mr. Manley's gofundme: Fundraiser by Mark Manley : ATF raids Community Activists home days before thanksgiving Sicarios Gun ShopFirearms, Accessories, Ammo, Safes, and more!WJS GunsGun and Outdoor Shop, ammo, accessories, fishing tackle, moreThe Gun Site9-Lane 25 yard indoor Shooting Range, Gun Store, Training classesGlover Orndorf and Flanagan Wealth Mgmt.Wealth management servicesFreedom GunsFirearms, Ammunition, Accessories, Training classes SHOOTINGCLASSES.COMOnline business operations platform for firearms instructors, trainees, and Shooting RangesThe American Police Hall of FameMuseum and Shooting Center (open to public), Law Enforcement and Civilian TrainingControl Jiu-Jitsu/MMAJiu-Jitsu/MMA Training in Melbourne, FLCounter Strike TacticalBest Little Gun Store in Melbourne, Florida! A major operation is underway in Orkney, North West, where police and soldiers have intercepted illegal mineworkers emerging from a mine shaft. Starvation and dehydration forced 565 illegal miners to escape from underground mines in Orkney in the North West with numbers expected to rise. This mass re-surfacing is linked to law enforcement agency's efforts to restrict these miners' easy access to food and water. Elvis Presslin spoke to David Van Wyk, Community Activist and Lead Researcher at Bench Marks Foundation, to shed more light on this developing story

Today, I am broadcasting some interviews that were done on site at Voices of Community Activists and Leaders Kentucky. We will hear from Maurice, Carl and Raquel in this show. As I began the editing process for this, most of what I said just got scratched. My questions served to prompt dialogue sometimes but mostly highlighted my ignorance about the obstacles this community faces. The important thing is that these conversations serve to humanize a population that has been shuffled around, neglected, criminalized, and used as political pawns. I hope when you hear them share their stories, you will be reminded of their humanity and that they matter as much as you do. I hope you will listen to the entire series on harm reduction from VOCALKentucky as we learn how to be a part of this community
Sacrifice Zones airs on WFMP 106.5FM/lp and ForwardRadio.org on Sundays at 11am, Mondays at 8am and Tuesdays at 2pm. We are doing a series of conversations with people at Voices of Community Activists and Leaders-Kentucky (VOCAL-KY). This is the first show in that series that follows the introduction we did with Pony Morris. This podcast contains no music. Community leader, Marty Jackson, being arrested alongside other individuals in a significant multi-state trafficking investigation. Jackson, known for her activism and leadership within Seattle's Boys and Girls Clubs, is now facing serious legal challenges. The case highlights a contrast between her community work and the charges against her involving laundering money connected to a fentanyl distribution network. As the investigation unfolds, her involvement and potential consequences remain to be determined. This development has caught the attention of many due to her prominent role in local anti-violence initiatives.
Last month, Huntington Bank announced it would reinstate its branch on Buckeye Road in Cleveland. The bank's decision came after a concerted effort on the part of the community, elected leaders and the city. Later, a legend of the Northeast Ohio blues scene has returned to the stage after a health scare last year. We'll hear the story on the latest edition of “Shuffle.”
Today's show is the first in a series of follow-up programming that Sacrifice Zones will be teaming up with VOCAL Kentucky for. VOCAL stands for Voices of Community Activists and Leaders and is a program brought to our great city by Shameka Parrish-Wright and Jeremy Saunders. VOCAL-KY is building a movement of low-income people dedicated to ending the AIDS epidemic, the war on drugs, mass incarceration, and homelessness across the country. They fight for systemic change rooted in justice, compassion, and love. They approach this work with a firm belief in reducing harm and ending stigma, and the knowledge that the issues impacting our communities are driven by institutional oppression, not personal failings. Pony Morris is a community activist and leader representing VOCAL Kentucky and Pony came to the studio to introduce the concept of harm reduction for my audience. This show will feature some sound from that show. Harm reduction works by addressing broader health and social issues through improved policies, programs, and practices. Resources: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/harm-reduction Email VOCAL-KY: info@vocal-ky.org https://www.vera.org/publications/the-criminalization-of-poverty-in-kentucky Sacrifice Zones is hosted by Stretch and airs weekly on Sundays at 11am, Mondays at 8am, and Tuesdays at 2pm on Forward Radio WFMP-LP Louisville 106.5fm and livestreaming at https://forwardradio.org.

Nalleli Cobo grew up just 9 metres from a oil-drilling site in University Park, a low-income, majority-Latino neighborhood in Los Angeles. A smell like rotten eggs wafted over her house that was so nauseating that her family had to keep the windows closed at all times. And people, including Nalleli were getting seriously ill. From the age of 9 she fought back against the toxicity. Sendungshinweis: OKfm4, 20.06.2024 17:00
