"After a few days of this, the monk and his nuns now carried her from her room and into the church, chaining her to a cross with her arms stretched out in a crucifixion pose while they doused her with holy water at the alter of Christ.  As they watched her arms strain against the ties, they wondered if they were hurting her and should untie her." The first story is known as the The Tanacu Exorcism. What everyone agrees on with this story, is that in the Spring of 2005, a young nun named Maricica Cornici died after collapsing after being tied up for about a week in a Romanian monastery. What there is a lot of disagreement on is what led to her death. Did a monk and some nuns horribly handle a case of schizophrenia? Or - was this truly a case of demonic possession? The second story takes place in Garfield Heights, Ohio. An anonymous woman bought her first house and joy and pride quickly turn into paranormal terror. Very unique type of haunting that I can't set up much without giving something away. But this one is probably gonna be hard to listen to if you hear it right before you go to bed and you live alone. Story three brings us to Cuba! A young girl takes a horse back riding trip while on a family vacation. She discovers what appears to be a stone altar and, unfortunately, removes a necklace from the stone altar. By doing so, she interrupts a tradition in Santeria that helps spirits move on to the other side. Then in the final story, a couple encounters a mischievous ghost in a Dublin pub!  New Merch: Got some new merch in the store but only for our Annabelles! It's uh real… um…. The 17 year old girl was last seen being dropped off to visit her boyfriend at 2:30 a.m. on December 20th in their hometown of Garfield Heights, Ohio. Her body was found the next morning, miles away in Cuyahoga Falls. She had been raped and brutalized. Her case was plagued by too many suspects, jurisdictional confusion, and lost evidence. For more than 30 years, Barbie's family had no answers to who killed her. Finally, forensic genealogy pointed them right back to the place where Barbie had last been seen, and a suspect whose name was never in the case file. And he had his own troubling disappearance in his family. Despite her earlier sentence being overturned, the woman who admitted to fleeing the scene after striking a 9-year-old Euclid girl who later died was again sentenced to eight years in prison, according to court records. The sentence is the maximum possible for 25-year-old Lacynthia Tidmore of Garfield Heights, who pleaded guilty to third-degree felony charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident in April 2018. Her charges stem from a Nov. 9, 2017, incident on Babbitt Road where Tidmore struck De'Zyer Mays, who was crossing the road to stand at the bus stop. Tidmore fled the scene. Her vehicle was found a short time later at a nearby gas station. This week's story comes from Garfield Heights, a suburb of Cleveland Ohio. There wasn't anything unusual about December 28, 1964. Beverly and Carol Jarosz watched their parents leave and go to work. The sisters had plans to walk to their grandmother's house and have lunch with her. Around 1 p.m., Beverly told her grandmother she needed to return home and meet up with her friends Barbara and Margie. An 18-year-old neighbor of Beverly's grandmother gave Beverly a ride home. Beverly was going to meet with her friend Barbara and then spend the afternoon with another friend. Barbara arrived at 1:25 p.m. She knocked on the door and then heard a thump coming from upstairs. It sounded as if someone was moving furniture. After no one responded, Barbara returned home. She spoke to her friend Margie and told her Beverly never answered the door. The three girls originally planned on spending the day together. Margie called Beverly's grandmother and told her Beverly didn't answer the door to Barbara. The grandmother called Beverly's dad Ted Jarosz and shared her concern. Ted left work to check on his daughter. He arrived home loud music playing. He went upstairs to check on his daughter. He found Beverly lying face down. Someone had murdered his beloved daughter.Nearly six decades have passed since Beverly was murdered at 10921 Thornton Avenue in Garfield Heights, Ohio. Today, the case remains cold. For this episode I spoke to Carol Bartos and retired Detective Carl Biegacki about the unsolved murder of Beverly Jarosz. If you are listening to this podcast and can give Carol the answers she has waited for, please contact the Garfield Heights Police at (216) 475-5686. *Opening audio: Channel 5 News Cleveland. https://www.news5cleveland.com/Please also visit my website for more information about my true crime and paranormal newspaper columns at www.themarcabe.com. In 2017, Ed Jamison left his position as Chief Animal Control Officer in Cleveland, Ohio, to take on the director position at Dallas Animal Services (DAS) in Texas. With an annual intake of more than 32,000 animals that year, he accepted what many would call a formidable challenge laid out by city officials to create a safer community for people and pets. In 2018, they launched the Dallas90 campaign, a rallying cry to the community to step up and support the effort to save every healthy or treatable pet at the shelter. It was an ambitious goal, but DAS attained a 90% save rate for the 2020 fiscal year. From his decision to join the Army the day after September 11th, 2001, to his first position as the only full-time shelter employee in Garfield Heights, Ohio, Ed shares what he sees as the keys to his success, and the lessons he’s learned that we can all use.

Ed Jamison became the Director of Dallas Animal Services (DAS) in October of 2017. The animal situation in Dallas has been the center of scrutiny over the years due to large roaming dog populations, high profile dog attacks, and low positive save rates from the shelter. With over 39,000 dogs and cats entering DAS’ care last year, Dallas is the 3rd largest intake in the United States. Ed has been tasked to increase public safety by getting lose animals off the streets, while at the same time increasing positive outcomes. To accomplish that, Ed is leading a staff of over 200 employees, maximizing the relationships with the rescue community, rebuilding the volunteer base, and instituting new, progressive programming. The newly launched “Dallas 90” campaign is designed to help create a community where all people and animals are safe, treated with respect, and have access to the resources needed to thrive. In December of 2018, even with record high intakes, DAS realized a 90 + percent rate for four consecutive months, which is a first for the Department. Prior to coming to Dallas, Ed was the Chief Animal Control Officer for the City of Cleveland, Ohio, but he entered the Animal Care & Control World in the mid 2000’s while he was the Animal Warden for the City of Garfield Heights, a suburb of Cleveland. In his time serving Cleveland, Ed made a push to redefine the way Animal Control functions, and re-brand the public’s perception of the industry, along with “pit-bull” type dogs.  The award winning, trademarked CITY DOGs Cleveland Adoption and Volunteer programs are flourishing and being copied throughout the country. Ed joins Mandy to discuss municipal shelter operations.

Trinity High School's Pre-Professional Internship program with Barb Dottorewww.ths.orgTwitter: @TrinityHSTrinity High School, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, has a unique approach to getting their students career ready. Trinity has managed to work required internship experiences into their curriculum. Each week, students in their Sophomore, Junior and Senior years spend 1 day a week at work. These internship experiences provide them much needed insight into the careers they have only dreamed of. Barb Dottore runs the Pre-Professional Internship program for Trinity High School. In our interview with Barb, we explored how the program came about and the benefits to both students and host employers. Barb is a delightful woman that has an obvious passion for helping her students identify their career interests. In their Freshman year, Trinity students take an Internship 101 course that prepares them for work in the "real world". They learn the Microsoft office software suite, in addition to professional skills such as public speaking. Trinity places these students with local employers, providing transportation and handling the administrative overhead for the companies. For companies looking for some additional help or to start an internship program, the Trinity program is a great fit. Trinity has been contacted many times by other schools interested in learning how they created their program. On the day of our interview Barb had been wrapping up one of those meetings before we spoke. Trinity is very willing to share their lessons learned. They believe in the value of exposing students to careers early on.Barb has story after story to share about the successes their students have had in building their skills, confidence and understanding of their dream careers, through the pre-professional internship program. Often students learn that their "dream job" isn't such a dream and Barb and her team will help them find other careers to explore. College is an expensive venture these days. Changes in major or school could cause extra years spent on education. As we discuss in the interview, Trinity's program helps students lock in on their interests in a very tangible way, at a younger age. The hope is that they can learn where their interests lie, before they commit to a major or even a college. Barb Dottore runs the pre-professional internship program at Trinity and regularly hosts meet and greets with companies eager to learn more about the program. The next open house for the internship program will be at Trinity High School on January 20th from 7:30am - 8:45am. Contact Barb to register - Dottoreb@ths.org

In this podcast: Michelle Obama, please save us Michael Moore thinks Michelle Obama is the Democrats' only hope. Reasoning: people like her – it’s a popularity contest. Doesn’t point to any major accomplishments. Can’t. Until Obama, presidents were expected to have accomplished things before presidency. It's a new aristocracy. The old aristocracy held you're entitled to office by birth; the new aristocracy holds you're entitled to office by membership in the Leftist elite Tulsi is another generic Leftist Tulsi is lovely to look at and has proven that she can strike like a rattlesnake. Her military record makes her appealing to centrists and, unlike the other vet on the stage, she lacks the anger and LGBTQ baggage Buttigieg. The thing is, though, she's just a generic leftist in policy. Supports socialized medicine, although she pays lip service to some form of private insurance. Wants to force American taxpayers to fully fund community and two year colleges and to pay for “middle-class students” at public universities, seeding generations of new, government-funded Leftists. Supports unlimited abortion – supported 2013’s “Women’s Health Protection Act” which would have removed all state mandated limits on abortion. Generic greenie On race, voted yes on the “Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals.” On immigration, talks tough about security but really wants to give a free pass to people already in the country illegally, giving hope to millions more to come here illegally. On national security, like Trump, Tulsi is anti-Wilson doctrine. Because she's like Trump, why not stick with him?  Old ladies still have to follow the rule of law Story out of Garfield Heights, Ohio, about a 79 year old woman being sent to jail for 10 days for feeding stray cats. Feeding feral cats is not innocuous. Feral cats have lots of nasty diseases, they kill birds, and the food you put out for them brings in other animals, such as rats and raccoons. Just because you’re a cute little old lady doesn’t mean the law doesn’t apply to you.

Beverly Jarosz was a beautiful 16-year-old girl who lived in the Garfield Heights neighborhood located in Cleveland, Ohio.  From all accounts, Beverly had everything going for her.  She was well-liked in the community as well as at school.  She had a close relationship with her younger sister and loved spending time with her grandmother.  She loved writing poetry and began writing her poems in a notebook that her parents bought her in the hopes of publishing her poems once the pages were filled up.  That all changed on December 28, 1964 when someone took her life away from her.  Someone came into her home where they brutally murdered Beverly in her bedroom.  The lives of the Jarosz family, friends, and members of the community were forever changed on that fateful day.  Fifty-three and a half years later, we are still awaiting justice for Beverly. Episode 1 of Chapter 2 provides the facts and timeline surrounding the case.  Special thanks to Shane Waters for his assistance and timeline in this episode!  You can listen to his show via https://audioboom.com/channel/american-crimecast.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/statuspending Visit our Facebook page for further discussions and details: https://www.facebook.com/statuspendingpodcast/ Follow the podcast on Instagram @statuspendingpodcastFollow the podcast on Twitter @pending_statusFollow Heather on Twitter @XCaliCat03X Follow Scott on Twitter @FullerOnAir

Presenting the most notorious unsolved crimes in Northeast Ohio . . . Investigative reporter James Renner reopens cold cases and delves into dark secrets that have baffled Clevelanders for years, including:• Murder?Beverly Jarosz, just 16 years old, felt a dark foreboding in the months before she was stabbed to death in her quiet Garfield Heights home. It all started with an anonymous gift.• Stolen Identity?Joseph Newton Chandler of Eastlake was not who he claimed to be. Some think he was the Zodiac killer; others say he was D.B. Cooper, or even Jim Morrison.• Suicide or murder??Joseph Kupchik hid gambling problems from friends and family until he was found at the bottom of a nine-story parking deck in downtown Cleveland?with multiple stab wounds.• Heist? In 1969, Lakewood bank employee Ted Conrad nabbed $215,000 from the vault one day after his twentieth birthday. The FBI still shows up at his high school reunions.• Controversy?Jeffrey Krotine was thrice tried for the grisly 2003 murder of his wife and ultimately acquitted, to the frustration of Cuyahoga County prosecutors, detectives, and even jurors. These stories venture into dark alleys and seedy strip clubs, as well as comfortable suburbs and cozy small towns, where some of the region’s most horrendous crimes have occurred. OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER WEBISTE ==> http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-In this episode we try to answer the question on why so many law abiding biker clubs have formed in recent years. We completely approve of course and it is great to see! I dare say that there are more law abiding biker clubs than any other time in U.S. history. It is great to see the motorcycling majority (the ninety nine percenters) taking over the motorcycle biker scene in a huge way. I have “Clint” and “PopEye” in the studio with me to weigh in on this matter. Next, we talk about a recent news related motorcycle story. Apparently, a San Francisco Superior Court Judge recently dismissed lawsuits against BMW motorcycles and Corbin-Pacific Inc brought by a man who claimed that a motorcycle ride gave him an erection that lasted for several months. The man said that vibrations from his 1993 BMW K110RS and Corbin aftermarket seat resulted in a case of priapism, a condition in which a penis remains erect for a prolonged period of time. Of course we tear this lawsuit apart and think that BMW and Corbin seats should have capitalized on this little venture and put Viagra out of business! Heck, I’m still looking to buy a 1993 BMW K110RS with a Corbin seat, but they are all sold out after this story broke? Henry Wolfe, the plaintiff in this lawsuit, went about this thing all wrong by filing a lawsuit to try to get rich. Heck, he was already rich with the woody he had. He should have just went to the companies and marketed this thing right and he would be rich! So, you really have to listen in on this biker podcast episode to get the full scoop. Similar to your Irish accents, your drawl(s) also need some work. But don’t feel bad, I grew up here and don’t sport a drawl. Now, on to oil. I bought my 5 year old son a Honda dirt bike for Christmas. I also have a Honda dirt bike and a new 2014 Street Glide. As I mentioned in an earlier email to Ryan, I’m new to Harley-Davidson, but not new to motorcycles or maintenance. I have been looking for a good synthetic oil to use in the dirt bikes to replace the Honda dino GN4. I’ve read good things about Amsoil and your podcast came at the perfect time. I also plan to try it in the Street Glide when I complete the 5K service. I’ll let you know how it does. Lastly, if you’re reading this and considering buying Ryan’s oil change/service/inspection video. DO IT…! It is thorough, informative, and nicely done. I also included a donation. My only request is that you guys use it towards the “Podcast Adult Beverage Fund”. Have one on me! Rob from The Lone Star State…” Notes: Rob was referencing the Law Abiding Biker Biker maintenance video and our “Amsoil” podcast episode. Podcast Episode #26 Free Maintenance Video For Sale Maintenance Video From: Rick Besser of Lacey, WA “Hey Ryan, Wonder if I might ask you a question about switching from standard oil to Synthetic. I Have 1000 miles on a 2013 fat bob and want to switch.. How do I make sure and get ALL the oil out of the Crank?? is there a trick to it?? Thank you in advance and love your site..Also the Europeans do as well!!” MY RESPONSE: “Don’t worry about getting every last drop out. Just drain it normal and then switch to Synthetic. The Synthetic will take over from there on out. No sweat.” From: From: Dick Curtis (Reference Law Abiding Biker Podcast Episode #38 titled: Belt final drive vs. Chain final drive) “I have my own experience to share regarding your ‘belts rule, chains drool’ episode. First, I think you should have stressed that type of drive shouldn’t be the deciding factor. They all work well. And it’s not practical to change from one type to another so pick your bike and just do what maintenance needs to be done. Second, lubrication takes about five minutes every other fuel stop. There are easy ways to keep it from being messy. Auto-oilers are available for $50 and up if you prefer that route. Modern chains don’t stretch until it’s near replacement time. Over fifty thousand miles you can expect to replace it four times ($400), sprockets twice ($160), lube it 150 times (let’s guess a can of lube does it ten times @$8/can=$120) total $680. Add labor cost if you’re not doing it yourself ($400). Breakage is a non-issue since most chains use a riveted master link. Changing sprockets is common on metric bikes. It can be done by the side of the road in fifteen minutes if you wanted to but unless you rode to the woods or a track day you probably wouldn’t bother. Metric bikes turn 9000 rpm or even faster. A gear change can put you in the optimum part of the power band whatever your style of riding. You don’t do that with big twins because you have big torque available over your entire rpm range.” From: Tom McGoldrick of Deep Haven, Minnesota (He references Law Abiding Biker Podcast Episode #37 titled: Riding Motorcycles in a Biker Club Environment | Group Motorcycle Riding Dynamics) “Hi guys love the podcast. It truly appeals to a wide variety of riders beyond even “metric” bikes. A spacesuit wearing, BWM riding, eat every meal in a different state type of rider like me can enjoy the show. I have been riding since the 80’s and am amazed at how much more there is to learn. It has been an education for me on bike clubs, the whole issue of patching in and club organization. I thought episode 37 was particularly good. I love to watch a tight and professional group flow down the road it is truly a thing of beauty. I don’t think most people realize how difficult it is to do well and safely. If you ever see a rider in a faded spacesuit cruising down the road on a red BMW don’t forget to wave back.” Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up! ______________________________________________________________   CHECK US OUT AND SUBSCRIBE:   Website: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com   Email & Voicemail: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/Contact   Phone Hotline: 509-731-3548   Twitter: https://twitter.com/LawAbidingBiker   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lawabidingbiker        YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/scrappy587     Google Plus Page: https://plus.google.com/+Lawabidingbiker587   Instagram: http://instagram.com/lawabidingbiker     RSS: feed://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/feed   iTunes Direct Link to Podcast:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast/id622424087    Stitcher Radio: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast   TuneIn Radio: http://tunein.com/radio/Law-Abiding-Biker-p562288/

The Trinity is sometimes called a “mystery of the Christian faith” – the #1 “X-File” in Christian doctrine. It’s the concept that God is one, unified being but reveals Himself in three divine entities, or persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit seems to be the most ethereal of the three (compared to solid metaphors like “Father” and “Son”), the greatest confusion and doctrinal diversity revolves around Him. So – for a few weeks – let’s piece some of this puzzle-picture together, shall we? Guest speaker Mike hopkins of the Rock Church in Garfield Heights, OH
