Midnight Train From Georgia is an inspiring and emotional journey through the life and career of William Franklin Guest, a founding member of Gladys Knight and the Pips. Join us for the next episode of the Our Daily Magic Podcast (LIVE from the Facebook Group) as "I am Magickai" aka Kaí and Dell Henderson aka The True Essence Connector will be interviewing Robbie Adkins.  Robbie was born in Southern California shortly after WWII. She was able to grow up feeling safe and was able to explore all that this abundant world had to offer. There were, of course, limitations, but those caused her to start questioning everything…to become a seeker. After graduating from college with a degree in Graphic Communication, she started her very successful career as a graphic designer/illustrator. She won a guest editorship for Mademoiselle Magazine and went to New York to work as an intern for the month after her graduation. Her professional career included positions such as magazine art director and director of corporate communications for an emerging information company. She received many awards along the way, such as a Gold Medal from the LA Art Directors and a Best of Show from the Communication Arts group of San Diego. In her twenties, she took up the sport of skydiving and was in a world record formation made with all women. She then moved on to the emerging sport of hang gliding and was the only woman to qualify to compete in the Hang Gliding Nationals in 1974. Her whole life she has had an acute appetite for learning about all things spiritual with an emphasis on how we create our own reality. She has been influenced, among many others, by the teachings of Jesus Christ, Jane Roberts and the Seth materials, Native American teachings, the I-Ching, Abraham-Hicks, Alice A. Bailey and the teachings of the Tibetan, Tony Burroughs and The Intenders of the Highest Good, and most recently, Marilyn Harper – Adironnda.  With all these experiences, the episode started with Kai being curious on how these affected Robbie's life today (10:49) where she shares how it boosted her confidence, and led her to write a book called "the Voice of the Soul". She further elaborated on the importance of alignment.    Dell asks on how did Robbie started to become a seeker (19:19) where she shares her experience during her teens about Christianity and salvation. Dell shares his own similar experience (21:00).  Kai then asks about Robbie's favorite practice(29:50) where she opened up about her book club. This sparked Kai's interest (31:49) where Robbie shares how it started, its mission and how it affected her personally.  Kai then asks how would Robbie describe her mission through her work (36:27) where she shares about her book and she later turned into an app so that everyone can have access to it. Check it out on App store or Play store!  Listen to the whole episode to know more about Robbie, her books, experiences and a lot more with our hosts. Stay Magical!

This is NEWS Plus Special English. I'm Liu Yan in Beijing. Here is the news. A medical expert says there is no room for organ donation from criminals on death row in China. The head of a national human organ donation and transplant committee, Huang Jiefu, says the number of organ donors saw an increase after China banned the use of organs from executed prisoners this year, with almost 2,300 organ donations so far in 2005. It is estimated that a record high of more than 10,000 organs will have been transplanted in the whole year. Huang guaranteed that there is not a single organ from executed prisoners in the organ transplant response system. When asked whether organs from condemned prisoners who donate voluntarily should be permitted, Huang said it is inappropriate to talk about the issue while China's legal system is not yet sound. He added that mixing organs from executed prisoners with other loving donors will lead to mistrust in the donation system. China has long focused on the issue of prisoner organs. In 2011, unauthorized organ trade was listed as a crime in an amendment to China's Criminal Law. A new system for organ management and distribution was launched in 2013 to better regulate the source of donations. This is NEWS Plus Special English. No country in the world delivers more packages than China thanks to booming e-commerce, but a recent report revealed that many goods are not properly packaged when being delivered. Overuse of tape, plastic bags and stuffing materials has led to excessive packaging for parcels, and there are no clear rules on how to dispose of these materials. A report jointly issued by the State Post Bureau and Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication says packing materials including tape and plastics are very damaging to the environment and should be recycled. Packaging has ballooned into a multi-billion yuan business in China as more goods ordered online are being delivered by courier services. But so far, the country only stipulates requirements on how to dispose of courier receipts. The report urged regulators and companies to make an effort to reduce the environmental impact of excessive packaging. You're listening to NEWS Plus Special English. I'm Liu Yan in Beijing.
