Dianne is out on a very special assignment so Chris is joined by guest host (and real-life SAG voter) Ian Brodsky to discuss everything from the future of James Bond to Mike White's extremely specific references. Featuring our predictions for Season 3 of The White Lotus on HBO (uh, yes, we're going to talk about what's going on with the “Will They? Won't They” Brothers). But first! So much streaming, including: The best moments from the NBC SNL50 special (also Chevy Chase was there). Our undying love for the just-wrapped first season of ABC's High Potential. A ratings update on The Night Agent and Ian's elevator pitch for why Black Doves should be your next Netflix spy fix. And some big surprises from some even bigger personalities behind some of the world's biggest IP: Kathleen Kennedy plans to step aside at Star Wars and the Broccoli family finally relinquishes the keys to the James Bond kingdom (we're pitching our Bonds for Bezos, of course). Correction: Michael Wilson is Barbara Broccoli's half brother, not stepbrother. Stepbrothers were just on the mind this week! ———

It's been ten years since FANgirl Blog launched the Hyperspace Theories podcast. On the latest episode, Tricia Barr and B.J. Priester look back on the podcast's evolution from its origin in discussing how to speculate wisely on upcoming Star Wars stories to a broader consideration of storytelling, character arcs and the Hero's Journey, and franchise management. We reminisce about our favorite episodes of the podcast over the years. After looking back, we turn to the present and future of the franchise through the lens of two recent articles in major Hollywood trade publications. James Hibberd's lengthy essay in The Hollywood Reporter asks “Is Disney Bad at Star Wars?” offers a fair assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the past decade of the franchise, ultimately concluding that it's not bad but it could do better. The timing of the article's publication also is notable for two reasons. First, although it studiously avoids placing blame on particular named individuals, it renders an unusually critical perspective on Star Wars after years of the trades avoiding doing so. Second, it follows an unannounced but publicly visible change to Lucasfilm's leadership structure: the elevation of Lynwen Brennan from Executive Vice President to President, a change with significance beyond simply a promotion in her title. We consider the implications of these developments for what further changes can be expected at Lucasfilm. We then discuss Adam B. Vary's article “Toxic Fandom: How Hollywood Is Battling Fans Who Are ‘Just Out for Blood' — From Social Media Boot Camps to Superfan Focus Groups,” which was published in Variety on the same day. Among other franchises mentioned in the article, Star Wars has a mixed record in this area, too. Vary's article wisely distinguishes between criticism (or praise) of a work by fans based on the substance of the story on the one hand, and abusive behavior driven by agendas (and monetization) unrelated to the merits of quality or stewardship – although the article also makes clear that studios and their executives may not consistently pay attention to this distinction. We conclude by looking ahead to some of the topics for discussion on future episodes of Hyperspace Theories, including The Bad Batch Season Three, Agatha All Along, the Wicked movie, Skeleton Crew, and more.   Related Links: Is Disney Bad at Star Wars? Continuing the momentum of a powerhouse franchise like Star Wars or Marvel is not easy. In October of 2023, Disney spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, acknowledging the issues the company faced with its Marvel films and series, and what it planned to do to correct them to get Marvel back on track. And while Star Wars fans have wished for something similar - more direct communication and a clearer road map of the future - Disney and Lucasfilm have been largely silent. Instead, The Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd has taken that audit into his own hands. This month, he wrote an article assessing the health of the franchise according to the performance of its films, series, merchandise and experiences. And his findings may surprise you. In it, Hibberd asks a key question that many want to know: Is Disney bad at Star Wars? Join host David Quinn for an in-depth look at Hibberd's article, going beyond the author's takes and providing the insight a longtime Star Wars fan and collector can offer. How did the films and series actually perform with audiences and at the box office? Has the company delivered on its initial plans and promises? Is Star Wars heading in the right direction? Is the fanbase losing hope?
And what does all of this mean for fans and collectors? This is the analysis you need, about the franchise you love. And this is Star Wars: Prototypes and Production! With the inflation rate easing and the economy holding in, policymakers on the Federal Open Market Committee voted unanimously to keep the benchmark overnight borrowing rate in a targeted range between 5.25%-5.5%. Along with the decision to stay on hold, committee members penciled in at least three rate cuts in 2024, assuming quarter percentage point increments. That’s less than market pricing of four, but more aggressive than what officials had previously indicated. Markets had widely anticipated the decision to stay put, which could end a cycle that has seen 11 hikes, pushing the fed funds rate to its highest level in more than 22 years. There was uncertainty, though, about how ambitious the FOMC might be regarding policy easing. Following the release of the decision, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped more than 400 points, surpassing 37,000 for the first time. The committee’s “dot plot” of individual members’ expectations indicates another four cuts in 2025, or a full percentage point. Three more reductions in 2026 would take the fed funds rate down to between 2%-2.25%, close to the long-run outlook, though there was considerable dispersion in the estimates for the final two years. Markets, though, followed up the meeting and Chair Jerome Powell’s press conference by pricing in an even more aggressive rate-cut path, anticipating 1.5 percentage points in reductions next year, double the FOMC’s indicated pace. In a possible nod that hikes are over, the statement said that the committee would take multiple factors into account for “any” more policy tightening, a word that had not appeared previously. Along with the interest rate hikes, the Fed has been allowing up to $95 billion a month in proceeds from maturing bonds to roll off its balance sheet. That process has continued, and there has been no indication the Fed is willing to curtail that portion of policy tightening. That echoed new language in the post-meeting statement. The committee added the qualifier that inflation has “eased over the past year” while maintaining its description of prices as “elevated.” Fed officials see core inflation falling to 3.2% in 2023 and 2.4% in 2024, then to 2.2% in 2025. Finally, it gets back to the 2% target in 2026. Economic data released this week showed both consumer and wholesale prices were little changed in November. By some measures, though, the Fed is nearing its 2% inflation target. Bank of America’s calculations indicate that the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge will be around 3.1% year over year in November, and actually could hit a 2% six-month annualized rate, meeting the central bank’s goal. The statement also noted that the economy “has slowed,” after saying in November that activity had “expanded at a strong pace.” In the news conference, Powell said: “Recent indicators suggest that growth in economic activity has slowed substantially from the outsized pace seen in the third quarter. Even so, GDP is on track to expand around 2.5% for the year as a whole.” Committee members upgraded gross domestic product to grow at a 2.6% annualized pace in 2023, a half percentage point increase from the last update in September. Officials see GDP at 1.4% in 2024, roughly unchanged from the previous outlook. Projections for the unemployment rate were largely unchanged, at 3.8% in 2023 and rising to 4.1% in subsequent years. Officials have stressed their willingness to hike rates again if inflation flares up. However, most have said they can be patient now as they watch the impact the previous policy tightening moves are having on the U.S. economy. Stubbornly high prices have exacted a political toll on President Joe Biden, whose approval rating has suffered in large part because of negative sentiment on how he has handled the economy. There had been some speculation that the Fed could be reluctant to make any dramatic policy actions during a presidential election year, which looms large in 2024. However, with real rates, or the difference between the fed funds rate and inflation, running high, the Fed would be more likely to act if the inflation data continues to cooperate. https://thenationalpulse.com/2023/12/11/even-leftist-governments-around-the-world-are-moving-to-slash-migration/ Even Leftist Governments Around the World Are Moving to Slash Migration. Leftist governments in Denmark and Australia are adopting a more hardline stance on immigration than many notionally conservative governments. Australia’s governing Labor Party has pledged to cut net immigration in half. Denmark’s Social Democrats have pledged zero net immigration, a.k.a. balanced immigration. Australia, with a population of only around 25 million, suffered net immigration of around 510,000 in the year to June. The government has conceded the system is “broken” and “in tatters” – blaming the previous center-right government. They say they will reduce it to around 250,000 by June 2025. There is growing acknowledgment that an ongoing housing crisis cannot be resolved if mass migration continues at current levels. Denmark, a generous welfare state, is going even further. They aim to balance the number of people entering the country against the number of people leaving, with the government insisting: “If you want to be a party of the working class and middle class, you have to ensure that migration has a manageable level.” Social Democrat lawmaker Rasmus Stoklund explained his party’s increasingly anti-immigration stance is the true left-wing position. “The part of society that bears the brunt of unchecked migration is the working-class population that we should be representing,” he said. “It is their children who have to go to schools that experience cultural clashes. It is those people who have to experience the criminality and social problems that follow. The more privileged people in society will only meet migrants if they are the children of diplomats, so for them the issue is not so clear.” Denmark is also taking radical action to integrate the existing migration background population. Vollsmose, a notorious suburban “no go zone”, is being bulldozed, to help integrate its predominantly “non-Western” residents. https://thenationalpulse.com/2023/12/11/suicide-is-consistently-killing-more-u-s-soldiers-than-anything-else-including-war/ Suicide Is Consistently Killing More U.S. Soldiers Than Anything Else, Including War. Suicide accounted for just under 40 percent of United States active military deaths as of December 2022, according to the Defense Casualty Analysis System, which found that U.S. military suicide rates have dramatically increased over the past several decades. Indeed, the current leading cause of death among servicemen is currently categorized as “self-inflicted,” with a total of 333 incidents last year. Suicide was recorded as almost ten percent higher in prevalence than accidents, of which there were 265. Yet, last year represents a slight decrease in the rate of self-inflicted deaths compared to October 2020, in which suicide rates were just under 41 percent. Suicide accounted for roughly ten percent of military deaths when records began in 1980, with that figure remaining mostly stable until the 1990s, in which the rate jumped to 23 percent in 1995. The rate of self-inflicted deaths fell sharply in the mid-2000s, however, much of the decline can be attributed to the increase in “hostile action” fatalities in 2008. Suicide rates across American society have reached unprecedented levels under the Biden government, with just under 50,000 people killing themselves in 2022. The rate was 14.3 three people per 100,000 – the highest since 1941. https://www.dailyfetched.com/donations-to-harry-and-meghans-woke-charity-collapse-by-11-million/ Donations to Harry and Meghan’s ‘Woke’ Charity Collapse by $11 Million Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell charitable foundation has reported a massive loss of a $11 million year-on-year collapse in donations. According to the foundation’s website, Harry and Meghan aimed to “uplift and unite communities, both local and global, online and offline.” But that didn’t happen. In a tax filing disclosed Tuesday, the non-profit organization received just over $2 million in charitable contributions in 2022, compared to $13 million in 2021. However, some $8.2 million funds remain in the Archewell Foundation accounts. The 28-page report also details the charitable work the foundation has undertaken during 2023. The report stated: “We are committed to a simple but profound mission: Show Up, Do Good.” But “doing good” has not come cheap for the woke pair, who recently made the decision only to have two children to help fight climate change. https://twitter.com/i/status/1734930901883129891 - Play Video Breitbart reported that Archewell’s total expenses exceeded its revenue the year before, leaving it down by more than $674,000, according to the public filing. Its revenue in 2021 had exceeded $9 million. The organization’s executive director, James Holt, earned a salary of $227,405, including a $20,000 bonus, in 2022. The figure represents a 280 percent increase from his salary of less than $60,000 in 2021. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also faced more bad news earlier this week after they named Showbusiness’ biggest losers of 2023. They also faced a belittling on South Park and were dropped from their lucrative $20 million Spotify deal. The Royal couple also faced a roasting in the Hollywood Reporter’s “brutally honest rundown.” James Hibberd contributed the scathing review, noting they were labeled “f**king grifters” by top executive Bill Simmons. Earlier this week, NBC reported a judge ordered Prince Harry on Monday to pay nearly 50,000 pounds (more than $60,000) in legal fees to the publisher of the Daily Mail tabloid for his failed court challenge in a libel lawsuit. The Duke of Sussex is suing Associated Newspapers Ltd. over an article that said Harry tried to hide his efforts to retain publicly funded protection in the U.K. after leaving his role as a working member of the royal family.

This week on Episode 504 of Priority One: We #TrekOut what Akiva Goldsman has to say about developing #StarTrek #Picard and Strange New Worlds, a sci-Fi documentary that will give you all the feels, and chairs (because, you know, lumbar support is important in the Multiverse). In gaming, Star Trek Online teases a new ship in their Infinity Lock Box, Modiphius has updates, and Scopley has patch notes for Star Trek Fleet Command. This week’s Community Questions are: CQ: Where is your new Star Trek chair going? At your desk for commanding starships and taking down intergalactic baddies? Or in your living room facing your big screen TV where you can order the rest of your family around like the magnificent crew they are? CQ: Are you a Star Trek Adventures player? If so, what new product excites you the most? If not, does any of these announcements pique your interest in the game? Let us know on social media like Facebook, Twitter, or by visiting our website! TREK IT OUT Akiva Goldsman on Star Trek: Picard & Strange New Worlds By Elio Lleo Well, it’s been a little over a week since First Contact Day and the virtual event held by Paramount+ that offered up so many tantalizing teases about the future of Star Trek. Fortunately, James Hibberd of The Hollywood Reporter had an opportunity to follow-up on some of those announcements with an interview featuring writer-producer Akiva Goldsman, co-showrunner on both Star Trek: Picard and Strange New Worlds. Up first–how does Strange New Worlds compare to NuTrek, like Star Trek: Discovery and Picard? According to Goldsman, “Strange New Worlds is very much adventure-of-the-week but with serialized character arcs.” But what about the visual style? Well, with respect to visual changes from what we saw on Discovery, Goldsman explained that they want “Strange New Worlds to be a different show. It's not Discovery. There are a few more reach-backs (to The Original Series) and the uniforms have been adjusted slightly, the sets are slightly different.” Image: Russ Martin/CBS, via The Hollywood Reporter. As the interview progresses, Goldsman might have accidentally let his feelings slip when discussing lessons learned after completing Season 1 of Star Trek: Picard saying, “Figure out the end earlier. If you're going to do a serialized show, you have the whole story before you start shooting. It's more like a movie in that way — you better know the end of your third act before you start filming your first scene.” The interview goes on to discuss how Q might impact Picard (but those answers are vague) and his involvement with a Dark Tower series, and a Firestarter movie. But, this was an excellent interview that we encourage you all to read… so #TrekItOut! The Definitive 80s Sci-Fi Documentary By Rosco McQueen The 1980’s were a powerhouse decade for science fiction films. And that’s judging it on sheer volume alone. In terms of Star Trek, we went from Wrath of Khan to the Final Frontier over the course of the decade. In between were myriad franchises, one-off films, and galactic adventures that captured imaginations of the young and old.   The team behind In Search of Tomorrow: The Definitive 80s Sci-fi Documentary aims to distill all of the mythos of 80’s sci-fi into a four hour film. The project began production in 2019, and then launched a crowdfunding campaign in 2020, becoming one of the most successful Kickstarter documentary campaigns of all time. Image: CREATORVC, via BloodyDisgusting. The project has over 75 names included in the story, most recently adding director Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters I & II), producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Terminator, Aliens), and actor Peter Weller. The news this week is the team is launching another crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to expand production efforts, add more interviews, and allow fans the opportunity to pre-order the film. Taking A Seat From The Ready Room Table By Rosco McQueen Is the style of your table setting missing a final frontier flavour? Are your virtual ward room meetings missing that one essential piece of furniture to really Trek it up? Thanks to the collective efforts of Star Trek fans and artists, now you can finally track down that Trek chair you’ve always wanted. Yes, even Worf’s uncomfortable bubble chair. Image: CBS/Ex Astris Scientia, via Fast Company. In an article on design website fastcompany.com, 3D artist Tadeo D’Oria from Buenos Aires explains how he went from creating purpose-built 3D models of Star Trek sets for role-playing games, to collating a database of props and sets across Trek movies and series.   “Other fans had already identified several of the chairs used through the series (mostly the original ’60s show) and even created replicas.  However because of my job doing essentially 3D reproductions of these chairs, having information about them was invaluable to me in order to work faster.” D’Oria has since worked on the TNG virtual set tour video game, Stage 9, which was eventually shut down by CBS. But not wanting to let the database go to waste, he collaborated with Bernd Schneider, who runs the site Ex Astris Scientia, to host the future furniture suite. CQ: Where is your new Star Trek chair going? At your desk for commanding starships and taking down intergalactic baddies? Or in your living room facing your big screen TV where you can order the rest of your family around like the magnificent crew they are? I’ll Take “Favorite Starship Engineers” for 1,000 By Cat Hough The search for the regular host on Jeopardy is still going through its interviewing process, currently featuring a slew of guest hosts, including Aaron Rodgers and Ken Jennings. But the field of candidates may have just gotten smaller, because now there’s a petition making the rounds on Twitter in support of Levar Burton getting the job. Earlier this week, the social media hype train started rolling with a tweet from Stephen Colbert showing his support for Burton and Star Trek in general. That was then followed by Dick Van Dyke tweeting his support and sharing the link to the petition. As of this recording, a little more than 231,000 people have signed the petition to have Burton be the next Jeopardy host.  Now here are a few headlines that we didn’t discuss but might interest you. First up, The Hollywood Reporter published an article on April 9th reviewing new dates for films planned by Paramount. According to the report, an untitled Star Trek feature film is slated to be released on June 9, 2023. No details about the film have yet to be announced… other than they have it on the calendar. CBS and the Television Academy Partner to launch a “Star Trek Command Training” program. What does that mean? Well, graduate and undergraduate college students nationwide can apply to be a part of an 8-week, paid internship immersing you in the production process of the Star Trek Universe. Direct from StarTrek.com, “Selected interns will be actively engaged in writers' rooms, wardrobe design, on-set production, animation and post-production on Los Angeles-based programs and will earn up to $4800.” Submissions for the Fall Session end April 28th at 5pm. While we covered an interview with Akiva Goldsman a few moments ago, John de Lancie also caught up with Variety to talk about returning to the role of Q in Star Trek: Picard. Although he couldn’t divulge any specifics about his role in Picard’s life, the interview does explore de Lancie’s life and times as Q in the Star Trek Universe. Perhaps most fascinating is how focused he is as an actor. If you missed Saturday Night Live’s April 10th show, you might have missed another Star Trek parody! In this latest Trek-themed sketch, Paramount+ is home to the new prequel series, Starcharter Andromeda–where a few fresh grads are abound with entitlement! Featuring Oscar-nominee Carey Mulligan, it’s a work-place parody. Remember captains, to learn more about these headlines, be sure to review the show notes for this episode at priorityonepodcast.com STAR TREK GAMING NEWS Jovian Raider added to Infinity Lock Boxes By Rosco McQueen The Discovery season three additions to Star Trek Online keep coming, with a new ship being added to the game’s Infinity lock box. Starting April 15, captains will have a chance when opening an Infinity lock box to score a T6 Jovian Intel Heavy Raider. “Also referred to as a “Titan Raider” when it showed up in Season 3 of Star Trek Discovery, this ship was one of several led by the infamous and mysterious leader known as Wen, as it harassed the United Earth Defense Forces in a tense standoff.” Image: Cryptic Studios. The Raider will sport a five fore, one aft, weapon configuration, with five Tactical, three Engineering, and three  Science consoles. The Bridge officer loadout looks adaptable to your build, with 1x Commander Tactical / Intelligence, 1x Ensign Universal, 1x Lieutenant Universal / Miracle Worker, and 2x Lieutenant Commander Universal stations. The ship also comes with a universal console ‘Harvester Mode” and an experimental weapon, the Threat Deterrent Charge Launcher. The weapon will trail enemy-seeking projectiles from your ship, which then deal electrical damage with an accuracy debuff. Star Trek Fleet Command Releases Patch 29 By Cat Hough Star Trek Fleet Command recently released its latest major update, Patch 29, which dropped a new story arc with 15 new missions. Plus, you can upgrade your fleet with a Second Research Queue, and get the all-new Franklin-A ship and choose from some other ship refits, and this patch also introduces Jaylah as a new epic officer. There were some significant game improvements and bug fixes implemented as well. Image: Scopely. Improvements include:  Letting the Change Resource Token Conversion sliders to max out at the amount needed for the current building. Updates to UTC Time on the player profile. Providing smooth camera transitions when selecting different items in the refit management window instead of a hard cut. Viewing ship cosmetics in AR. Bug fixes Various localization issues have been fixed Fixed an issue with a visual glitch when relocating in New Calgary Fixed an issue with the HUD disappearing when returning from the player profile to the full scan screen for a station that relocated to another system Fixed an issue within the “Skarrl” system, the sun has a disc that is vertical rather than horizontal. Fixed the USS Franklin Impulse Speed research buff to reflect for all the docked ships. Adventures In Project Management By Elio Lleo Adding to the First Contact Day celebrations, Modiphius Entertainment published a Project Manager video update highlighting the current state of the Star Trek tabletop adventure, plus upcoming expansions and items that will be available this year. For starters, the Shackleton Expanse Campaign is slated to release this summer with compatibility to play either as a Klingon or Federation character. They’re also planning to release a “TOS Tricorder Set” sometime during the third quarter of 2021. Included in the tricorder-shaped package is a pocket-sized rulebook, a 3-part campaign book, custom dice, and character sheets!  Jim Johnson, the Project Manager, goes on to answer some community questions–so, if you’re a fan of these table-top adventures and want to learn more, be sure to watch the entire video. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Oq2s1lL49ZM CQ: Are you a Star Trek Adventures player? In the show this is one of the most heart wrenching moments, one that the show runners and George have said was one of the major plot points they were told about specifically alongside the death of Shireen Baratheon and Bran's fate as King of Westeros. With new quotes from James Hibberd's new book, and Halloween upon us and winter on its way, figured we'd take a look at the creation of Hodor and what it means.   Link to stream: https://youtu.be/0pWOYoYPdiQ   Subscribe: http://bit.ly/2EBHniX Twitter: http://bit.ly/2ESrfJp Patreon: https://bit.ly/2HQ6cVd Instagram: https://bit.ly/2Mao9Bd Questions: AskJoeMagician@gmail.com   Buy A Game of Thrones book 1: https://amzn.to/2DoDACZ Buy A Song of Ice and Fire: https://amzn.to/2D2rwal Buy Fire and Blood: https://amzn.to/2UH4yQd Buy Game of Thrones Seasons 1-7: https://amzn.to/2UF0xvG

'Games of Thrones' ended in 2019, but the fascination with the epic TV series will live on for ages. A new book by Entertainment Weekly editor at large James Hibberd called Fire Cannot Kill A Dragon chronicles the making of the epic series, which ran on HBO for eight seasons. Hibberd had access to hundreds of cast members, producers, executives, and crew and managed to get some behind-the-scenes gems, including the time Bruce Willis might have disrupted a shoot, Peter Dinklage's odd request before accepting the role, and the North Korean-like security on the set. Plus, he offers tips on how to get people to open up in interviews.

It’s easy to forget that Thrones was supposed to be impossible to make. Long before Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow became household names, George R.R. Martin was a frustrated TV writer who created his bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire novels to explore epic storytelling beyond the constraints of Hollywood. In 2008, HBO took an enormous gamble to produce his “unfilmable” saga and for the next 11 years, the Game of Thrones team faced one backstage obstacle after another while turning their series into an unprecedented global blockbuster, an Emmy Awards record-breaker (132 nominations and 47 wins in total) and a pop-culture obsession. Across its 8 seasons that aired in 207 countries and territories, GoT received perhaps more cumulative media coverage than any show ever made. Yet no one knows the inside story of GoT as well as Entertainment Weekly Editor-at-Large James Hibberd, a journalist who visited the top-secret show’s sets each season since 2012. In his debut book, FIRE CANNOT KILL A DRAGON: Game of Thrones and the Official Untold Story of the Epic Series, Hibberd chronicles the making of GoT from the producers' very first meeting with Martin to the staging of the controversial series finale and all the epic battles in between. James Hibberd gives fans an inside look at every aspect of the ground-breaking series and the people who created it

When Jessie Nizewitz agreed to be on VH1’s reality dating show “Dating Naked,” she knew one thing for certain — she’d be filmed naked. When Jessie arrived on set, she says producers encouraged her to wrestle naked with her date. They urged her to playfully slam him into the sand. Jessie was hesitant, until they reassured her that all of her private parts would be blurred when the episode aired. A few weeks later, Jessie was back at home, watching her episode. Just as promised, her naked body was blurred. But then, for a split second, it wasn’t. That image was captured and spread all over the internet. Jessie was humiliated. She felt lied to. So she decided to sue.  Then Brandi tells us about the abduction of Amber Hagerman. Her name might not initially sound familiar, but you probably know her legacy. Amber was just nine years old, riding her bike a few blocks from her grandparents’ home when a man abducted her. A neighbor witnessed the abduction. He called police to report what he’d seen. Soon, the FBI stepped in. But did they have enough information to find Amber? And now for a note about our process. For each episode, Kristin reads a bunch of articles, then spits them back out in her very limited vocabulary. Brandi copies and pastes from the best sources on the web. And sometimes Wikipedia. (No shade, Wikipedia. We love you.) We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the real experts who covered these cases.
