So schmeckt Irland! ► Midleton Brennereibesichtigung Teil 1: https://youtu.be/kgYR9D0m2qI ► Midleton Brennereibesichtigung Teil 2: https://youtu.be/VZjQYNHwKV4 ► Midleton Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0c4kGdVapNTnNMsvjXjes_9FpWwanNwh ► Abonnieren: http://www.youtube.com/user/thewhiskystore?sub_confirmation=1 ► Whisky.de Social Media ○ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@whiskyde ○ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/whisky.de/ ○ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Whisky.de/ ○ Twitter / X: https://www.threads.net/@whisky.de ○ Threads: https://www.threads.net/@whisky.de ○ Telegram: https://t.me/whisky_de ► Podcast: https://www.whisky.de/shop/newsletter/#podcast ► Merch: https://whiskyde-fanartikel.creator-spring.com/ Mehr Informationen finden Sie in unserem Shop auf Whisky.de/shop

The names of Jameson, Roe, and Powers all have a special place in the history of the success of the Irish whiskey industry. But none of them had the power and influence in the 18th century to take their whiskey around the world. It took an Undertaker. This week, we'll meet that man who almost ruined Irish whiskey's reputation, while also setting it on a path to the massive success it would enjoy in the 19th century. Plus, I'll share my experience on my first day in Belfast at the McConnell's Sherry Cask whiskey launch.

We discover the motivation inside the Man-Wolf's moon-white lupine form: pure unadulterated rage & lust for vengeance against those who've harmed him...and those John Jameson loves. Someone should tell Kristine Saunders! Sergei Kravinoff has been dispatched to the Big Apple to bag *someone* a certain werewolf.
As if turning into a moon-beast weren't enough trouble, John Jameson now has ex-CIA-agent-turned-NYPD-cop Simon Stroud on his tail! And this Alpha Chad will stop at nothing to get his werewolf: speeding, lock-picking, busting down doors, stealing boats...all while screaming & wearing a skin-tight turtleneck. Nice knowing you, John.
John Jameson has moved on from his nightmarish time as the Man-Wolf...so, why does he suddenly change into the Moon-Beast again? And what do the bloodless bodies littered in line along the Eastern seaboard headed toward NYC have to do with it? Our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has to figure it all out. With director Brad Elmore.
We're back and giving ol' Jack Russell a break. This season we'll be following the canine-creature career of Col. John Jameson, the son of the perennial thorn in Spider-Man's side: J. Jonah Jameson. Introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #1, John became a Shaggy One in issue #124, so that's where our season begins. We've included our 1st bonus episode, but all future ones are for our Patreon supporters. Check out our fun perks for members. Whiskey! Today’s suck is SOAKED in whiskey. Mostly, in Jameson - some Irish whiskey. John Jameson - the founder of Jameson - was originally a lawyer from Alloa in Scotland before he founded a distillery in Dublin in 1780. In 1805, he was joined by his son John Jameson II who took over the family business. For the next 41 years, John Jameson Jr. built up the business before handing over to his son John Jameson the 3rd in 1851. By the turn of the 19th century, Jameson’s distilleries were the second-largest producer in Ireland and one of the largest in the world, producing 1,000,000 gallons annually. The name Jameson was synonymous with Irish whiskey. And then in the late 1880s, a scandal broke out regarding claims that John's great-grandson, James S Jameson, paid to watch a Congolese slave girl killed and eaten. And then the name Jameson was associated with cannibalism almost as much as whiskey. A dark and strange historical scandal. We explore it today, along with a history of alcohol and more, in today's whiskey-based edition of Timesuck. John Jameson works for Green Overhead. A company with its sole vision to sell only the best surfing brands, but to create a customer experience that guides an individual to what he wants out of their surfing experience. To add to this John has spent the last 20 years organising surfing boat trips in Indonesia and the Maldives. With the Company of Green Overhead behind him, he has organised and taken people on what they would call once in a lifetime trips and made them affordable, so they become annual instead once in a lifetime. In the podcast Adz and John talk about how he became involved with organising boat trips at 18 years old, what makes a good trip, injuries and some epic tales of some glassy peaks. The also talk surfboard shapes and brands, and how he and Dan Maker became involved with producing a wetsuit for one of the most iconic extreme sports brands in the world, Dakine. I'm sure we're all familiar with Jameson's Irish whiskey, especially at this time of year, but how much do we really know about John Jameson and his extremely large family? This week we'll dive into the story James Sligo Jameson, the member of the family that the Jameson's would rather we didn't talk about. James Sligo Jameson had a fortune at his disposal, a penchant for stomping around jungles with other rich white boys, and a dangerous obsession with cannibals. This sinister cocktail of attributes would eventually cost an innocent young girl her life. Join us on an expedition into one of the darkest corners of whiskey history. Sláinte fiends! Continuing our latest trend, Chris Eberle champions yet another Micro-Spotlight on The Amazing Spider-Man. This time, we focus on issues 121-131, an arc that changed the comic book medium forever. But such important content could not be contained within one episode alone, so we'll be needing two! In this first part, the crew are joined once again by The Amazing Spider-Talk's Dan Gvozden to cover issues 121 to 126, including such memorable moments as the final fate of Gwen Stacy, The Green Goblin's (kinda) last stand, a guest appearance by the tiara and chains wearing Luke Cage, Harry Osborn's descent into madness, John Jameson's hairy alter-ego The Man Wolf, Johnny Storm helps Peter with some car trouble, and Spider-Man faces his greatest foe...The Kangaroo. Okay, that last one might be sarcasm. (1:49:36)

A Jameson TV commercial a few years ago tells the tale of how John Jameson saved his precious whiskey from The Great Dublin Fire of 1789. In order to save his whiskey from the flames engulfing the city, he singlehandedly saves his precious liquid by breaking a dam, flooding Dublin and ensuring his whiskey didn’t go to waste. A fanciful tale, that is of course a work of fiction. But it pales in comparison to the real fire of Dublin almost a hundred years later where it was the whiskey that did the damage and almost wiped out the city. We’re going to tell that tale in this episode.

The Bitcoin Hash Rate Tell (And how it’s related to Supply and Demand) As the price of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies continue to go down — have you asked yourself why the Bitcoin hash rate is at all times highs? And when you are bailing out and selling do you ever think about this — who is the counter-party? Who’s on the other side doing the buying? This week John Jameson talks about: • Who's taking the other side of your trade, and why it’s something most people don’t think about. • What is the Bitcoin hash rate? (And why it’s going up) • Why a rising hash rate is possible “tell” exposing the long-term plans of big money commercial Bitcoin miners. • Cryptocurrency 101 — Supply and Demand — what is it and how can we use it? • How a derivative ratio can help show you when Bitcoin prices are at bargain levels, and why it’s not all about price. • How to track the supply and demand dynamics of Bitcoin. • Why tracking what’s going on behind Bitcoin prices is useful in determining cryptocurrency trends. • Why being part of the herd might not be a great idea. • The buying power of gold vs. the US dollar.
A long time before the instant communications we use today, somebody had to dream it into existence and think up this world— This week John Jameson talks about; • Why it takes time for great ideas to become a reality. • How great ideas sometimes have to wait for a catalyst. • How cryptocurrencies democratise asset management, and why governments can’t allow it to happen— (without them) • The reaction of governments to cryptocurrencies and why it’s a huge “tell” for the future of blockchain technology. • Why 2018 is the perfect environment for the design and implementation of next-generation technology. Technology that will be sold to the public to keep them safe. • The Dark-side of blockchains, and how the upcoming paradigm shift in data storage and protection will solve one problem, but may, in reality, deliver another. • Why Bitcoin is the gatekeeper. And why, even after a 70% drop, Bitcoin is still not dead. • Why stock markets aren’t designed to make you rich, what they do instead, and why it’s more difficult than ever to make money investing in company stocks. • How cryptocurrencies level the investing playing field.

In a week where the UK and Europe had an unprecedented interruption of the Visa network, leaving millions stranded at checkouts, and Google announcing a ban all cryptocurrency related advertising— John Jameson talks about; • Why 2018 is the perfect environment for the mass adoption and roll out of blockchain technology. And discusses • Why a move towards nationalism in Europe and the United States is leading to a lack of international trust. And why blockchain technology is the most obvious solution. • The Facebook data scandal. Its potential consequences and why blockchains can prevent this from happening again. • How the internet, in 2018, is “dumb” and why it’s being re-engineered. • How blockchains solve the double spend problem but cause another — the conduit for uncontrollable amounts of capital to cross borders.

40 years ago, Dublin's Bow Street Distillery closed down after nearly 200 years of producing Jameson Irish Whiskey. In 1997, what survived of the old distillery reopened as the Old Jameson Distillery, a visitors center devoted to preserving the heritage of John Jameson's original distillery. Nearly 250,000 people visit the old distillery each year, and guide Christopher Goggins gives us a private tour in this week's episode...complete with drams at the end!
