The Green Bay Packers found a new way to beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday, as Karl Brooks blocked a last-second field goal attempt to preserve a 20-19 win for the green and gold. Tex Western and guest Justis Mosqueda break down the game, which featured a shockingly low number of offensive snaps for the Packers, continued red zone issues, and a terrible performance from linebacker Quay Walker. But Green Bay also got great games from Josh Jacobs and Christian Watson! Did we learn anything new about this team? Not really. But let's break it down anyway as we bathe in some Bears fans' tears. If you want to maximize your enjoyment of the draft, don't get hung up on hoping for players and enjoy watching one of the best GMs in the league make your Green Bay Packers a better football team. One of the things that makes Gute such a good GM is the way he finds opportunities that are less than obvious. Moving back 4 spots, picking up 2 additional picks, and still getting your guy, may seem simple but it's how he finds players like Dontayvion Wicks and Karl Brooks. He could've taken Cooper at 41 and everyone would've celebrated it, and no one would've questioned why he didn't move back and pick up additional picks. Instead he still gets Cooper and gains 2 additional picks that he can trade or use. You could end the draft now with just these 5 picks and this team is better. They are Sara Sanderson - a soul guide and seer, Pablo Meccano, a coach, shadow worker, science fiction writer & grower of medicinal plants, Kate Barsby - a soul guide, Georgie Anstey - a community farmer, and Karl Brooks - a drum circle facilitator. All of whom are alumni of different cohorts of our signature crucible Medicine, which guides medicinal old souls to discover their purpose, uncover their unique gifts, and become their medicine. The journey they went on is an ancient journey, experienced in different ways in different cultures across the world and throughout history, and so the episode was a rich exploration of their own personal journey of this archetypal journey, traveling deep into their sacred wounds, to alchemise their medicine, first giving it to themselves and then serving it to others. Lian was called to hold the conversation in a circle-style way, similar to Medicine itself, so you'll hear each person speaking themselves into circle using their medicine name, something that was uncovered during their work in Medicine. Notice what intrigues or activates you, both in the medicine names and also throughout the episode - and what it might reveal about your own soul's calling. I'd love to know what YOU think about this week's show. Let's carry on the conversation… please leave a comment below. What you'll learn from this episode: I loved how each of the medicinal ones had different experiences of Medicine, including why they joined, even though the work journeyed through was apparently the same - this is because the work is really happening inside them - their own soul's longings, wounds, alchemy, and medicine. What Karl said, and Pablo echoed, about the power of not knowing and journeying with the mystery, is an important principle of initiation, and is required when we are journeying into territory beyond the ideas and tools we have learned and clung to. Kate and Georgie both shared about how their medicine was first taken by themselves - we can only alchemise that potency and uniqueness of medicine ourselves - and this is true nature of healing. What Sara shared about truth and expression is something that is so important for all medicinal souls to hear - most of us are meant to express ourselves in ways that are different to most people in our modern culture. That's the most challenging thing of all for so many of us, and why we benefit from doing this work in a circle of others who can witness and support us in that unfurling into our truth. Resources and stuff that we spoke about: Medicine ‘24: find out more and book your Medicine Illumination call HERE Sara Sanderson has a background in coaching and mentoring across the arts, business and community sectors with a passion for supporting people to bring out their creative expression. She sees the potential in others and love to help them to see it too and live fully. Sara has an open and honest approach to life offering a nurturing, loving, truthful, and playful connection with the people she meets and works with. Sara guides and liberates people to live from the truth of who they are, fully expressed to be and do what their soul came here for. She does this professionally through her role as Connection Creatrix at Waking The Wild, and for her own 1:1 clients. She is currently on a journey to undertake an apprenticeship to become a Soul Guide with Waking The Wild Ltd, and to rebirth the social enterprise she co-founded in 2020.   Pablo Meccano is a life coach, shadow worker who was once an accomplished designer/maker, turned to living his truth and works from a cabin as a writer and guide, landlocked but never bored in Hertfordshire. He is a grower of herbs, a forager who advises on nutrition and some of nature's more medicinal gifts, and describing his latter-life, as the difference between night and day, guides others to discover the same for themselves. Currently he is setting up a retreat for self-discovery in Cornwall, and continues to write in the genre of science-fiction, both short stories and novels. He invites us all to get out of our head – to that place where us humans were always meant to manifest – meaningfully – quite purposefully from heart in the now. Find out more about Pablo at shamandalacoaching.com   Kate Barsby is a Meaning-Maker, Spiritual Guide, Rites of Passage Doula, Ceremony Creator and Holder. She provides spiritual support and soul guidance to women in midlife who long to deepen into themselves, and life, create more ease and love in their relationships and express the fullness of who they came here to be. Find out more about Kate at sacredopenings.com   Georgie Anstey is an unlikely farmer who, as part of a cooperative of people, runs a community supported agriculture project in Stroud in Gloucestershire. Common Soil provides nourishing food grown in a respectful relationship with nature and in a way that supports wildlife habitats. The initiative offers people very local food, a say over how food is grown and provides a place where they can connect to the land, the seasons and each other. Georgie completed Medicine in 2021, while setting up this community farm. In the latest Locked on Browns Podcast Mock Draft the Browns take Defensive Lineman Karl Brooks at pick #74. Bowling Green defensive lineman Karl Brooks projects as a hybrid-type defensive lineman in the NFL. Brooks has had a tremendous two-year stretch of splash play production for Bowling Green, and he will look to continue that momentum into the pro game—although I do have some questions about how he wins against MAC competition and how he will need to play differently against NFL talent to see comparable results.Originally an unranked recruit, Brooks played his high school football for Sexton High School in Lansing, Michigan. He was a member of Bowling Green's recruiting class of 2018 after initially committing to Grand Valley State and receiving minimal offers. Bowling Green offered him late in the process and he quickly flipped his commitment.Brooks has some really enjoyable moments on film; he'll bull-rush tackles or finesse against oversets and come crashing into the pocket to disrupt opposing passers. You wouldn't necessarily expect such a diverse pass-rush pallet from a bigger guy, but he's flashing inside counters, spin moves, and all sorts of rush counters with his hands. I like that he is capable of straight bulling soft setting tackles, too—that gives him an element to fall back on as he continues to develop as a player. He'll need it too, given I don't think his first step is going to be a consistent threat in the NFL. But he's going to give himself an opportunity to find snaps on passing downs because he clearly offers a rush plan and he's a high-motor and effort player who can be relentless in pursuit. He's a bit of a tweener from a skill set perspective relative to his build and athletic profile, though, and he's going to have to evolve one way or another to build up his opportunities beyond a designated pass rusher role in the right situation.Brooks' ability to stack blocks and negotiate the point of attack is in need of further development if he's going to play on early downs or be a starter someday. I don't have a great deal of certainty in the functional length that he plays with, and I don't see the same pop in his hands when linemen are driving toward him as I do when he's afforded the chance to attack into his rushes and that costs him leverage and ground at the point. Teams who want to run the ball will likely test him early in his career if he's on the field until he can right the pad-level inconsistencies and find a power posture more often. Even then, his violence and efficiency to disengage and deconstruct need to have more to it.#BrownsBetterHelpThis episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. BetterHelp connects you with a licensed therapist who can take you on that journey of self-discovery from wherever you are.  Visit BetterHelp.com/lockedon today to get 10% off your first month.Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Subscribe now to stay up-to-date on all the latest Cleveland Browns news. The Cleveland Browns need major upgrades upfront to the defensive line. Most of the Browns rumors have revolved around targeting top Defensive Lineman during the NFL 2023 Free Agency period. The Browns also will target young talent in the trenches in the NFL 2023 Draft. Below are a list of Defensive Lineman The Cleveland Browns Are Targeting At The Senior Bowl.Top 2023 Senior Bowl Interior Defensive Linemen NFL Draft Prospects1) Keeanu Benton, WisconsinKeeanu Benton is already one of the highest-rated defensive linemen at the Senior Bowl, but even he has plenty to prove in Mobile. He's a dense 6'4″, 315-pound lineman with nose tackle capabilities who was dominant down the stretch for the Wisconsin Badgers in 2022. Benton's run defense is phenomenal. He's a stack-and-shed master with outrageous strength. What evaluators will watch in Mobile, however, is his pass-rushing ability in one-on-ones. Benton has violent hands and the necessary burst, but consistency will be key.2) Byron Young, AlabamaAlabama will be well-represented in the trenches at the Senior Bowl this year. On the offensive side, tackle Tyler Steen and interior lineman Emil Ekiyor Jr. will be present. And on the defensive line, veterans Byron Young and DJ Dale will hold down the fort. Dale is an intriguing prospect in his own right, but Young has a higher ranking on the 2023 NFL Draft board. Already, Young is a high-level run defender. His stay at the Senior Bowl will allow him to showcase his pass-rushing upside, something he gave bright flashes of in college with his athleticism and torque.3) Keion White, Georgia TechOne of the biggest riser candidates heading into the 2023 Senior Bowl is Georgia Tech defensive lineman Keion White. He's still a sleeper in the context of his counterparts. But he has perhaps the most to gain from getting his talents in front of NFL evaluators in Mobile. White is a 6'4″, 286-pound wrecking ball with explosiveness, lateral agility, and awesome power across alignments on the defensive front. He can play at 3-tech or move outside the tackle, and his athleticism and motor make him a menace in pursuit, as evidenced by his two seasons with 14 or more TFLs.4) Adetomiwa Adebawore, NorthwesternThe 2023 NFL Draft class is flush with hybrid defensive linemen who can play from both interior and EDGE alignments. Adetomiwa Adebawore falls within that category. But of that group, he has one of the most compelling combinations of explosiveness, proportional length, and functional strength. Adebawore put up five sacks and nine tackles for loss this past season. But each week, it felt like the box score didn't do his impact justice. He's a constant disruptor on the line, whose high-end traits allow him to consistently generate pressure downhill. One-on-ones will be big for him.5) Karl Brooks, Bowling GreenJust as the Senior Bowl is a place where big names converge and clash, it's also a place where lesser-known small-school prospects can prove themselves against top-tier competition. That's the opportunity that Bowling Green's Karl Brooks will have. Brooks is quietly one of the most intriguing defensive linemen in the 2023 NFL Draft. He's a 6'4″, 300-pound defender who can rush from 3-tech or on the edge. And he was insanely productive with the Falcons, tallying 27.5 sacks and 46 tackles for loss across five seasons.
