We had the pleasure of interviewing The Warning over Zoom video! The rock sister-trio from Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning, proudly present their much-anticipated new full-length album, Keep Me Fed [LAVA/Republic Records], out now! Listen HERE. Physical products are available at RepublicRecords.com, featuring CDs, vinyl, t-shirts, and fan packs [CD/t-shirt or vinyl/t-shirt]. Today the band also unveiled their new music video for “Six Feet Deep,” which made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and across MTV's global network of channels, as well as on the Paramount Times Square billboards. About the record, the band commented, “This new album is the result of our rawest emotions and most meaningful connections with people we've gotten to know and work with these past few years. We're incredibly proud of this music and we can't wait for you to make it yours. From our hearts to you, this is Keep Me Fed.”Keep Me Fed finds the group at the peak of their powers. Over the course of thirteen tracks, the album balances stadium-size hooks with airtight riffing and thunderous rhythms. In talking about the story behind the decision to name the album Keep Me Fed, “throughout the whole process, the work was consuming us,” says Pau. “By impacting everything we did, the album kept us fed both creatively and personally. We're inviting other people to participate and consume it too.”Pre-release singles featured “MORE” (performed at the 2023 MTV VMAs [Watch HERE]), “S!CK” which climbed to Top 8 at Active Rock and #8 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart, music videos for “Burnout” & Spanish track “Qué Más Quieres” premered with MTV, as well as “Hell You Call A Dream” and “Automatic Sun” which are already fan favorites to hear live. Revolver applauded, “Like the Mexican sister-trio's previous output, it's undeniably infectious,” and Classic Rock hailed it as a “shot-in-the-arm of propulsive, fire-spitting hard rock.” Rolling Stone pegged it as one of “All The Songs You Need To Know This Week.” The trio will embark on the ‘Keep Me Fed' US headline tour this September & October, making stops in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, and more, before joining Evanescence and Halestorm on tour in Canada. Check out the full confirmed itinerary below. Fans can purchase tickets here: https://thewarningband.comThus far in 2024, The Warning performed at ShipRocked in the Caribbean, Mexico's prestigious Pa'l Norte & Vive Latino Festivals, sold-out their April EU/UK headline tour, just wrapped their first headlining tour of Japan that included a show with Band-Maid, and will return overseas to EU/UK for summer festivals. Looking ahead to 2025, the band sold-out the 10k capacity Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City in less than 48 hours. The Warning are as hungry as ever on Keep Me Fed, and they're about to sink their teeth into 2024. Catch them on tour in the US this fall.ABOUT THE WARNING:The Warning draw strength and power from a lifetime of sisterhood and music. The Mexico-born sister trio—Daniela “Dany” [guitar, lead vocals, piano], Paulina “Pau” [drums, vocals, piano], and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal [bass, piano, backing vocals]—have logged thousands of miles on the road, generated hundreds of millions of streams, and left countless fans in awe. All of this tireless work and dedication has shaped and sharpened their sound with knifepoint precision, arming alternative anthems with universally catchy hooks and an uncompromising hard rock kick. The girls have devoted themselves to a shared dream since their childhood in Monterrey, Mexico. They initially made waves with a string of independent releases, paving the way for their acclaimed 2022 full-length offering ERROR. Between performing alongside Muse, Foo Fighters, Guns N' Roses, Royal Blood, The Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace and Imagine Dragons, the band ignited MTV's Extended Play Stage at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Representative of their cultural impact, Pepsi even notably chose them as the face of Pepsi Black in Mexico. Moreover, they emerged as the rare force who could comfortably appear in features by Vanity Fair, People, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour as well as on Metallica's star-studded Blacklist compilation—placing their cover of “Enter Sandman” [with Alessia Cara] shoulder-to-shoulder with contributions from Ghost, St. Vincent, Chris Stapleton, IDLES and Weezer. The Warning embrace their destiny on their 2024 full-length album, Keep Me Fed [LAVA/Republic Records] out now. The album was introduced by singles “MORE,” “S!CK” “Hell You Call A Dream”, “Qué Más Quieres”, “Automatic Sun”, and “Burnout”.We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Knox Zoom video!Nashville based singer/songwriter Knox recently released his vibrant debut EP and announced his signing with Atlantic Records.EP track “NYC” also receives an official music video, which made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and MTV Biggest Pop today. “Sneakers,” another EP track that was released last year, has proven a huge success already, racking up nearly 2M TikTok views overnight and 16M streams and counting.Growing up in Ohio, Knox's whole existence before he ever wrote a song was playing basketball, soundtracked by artists such as Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, All-American Rejects, Lil Wayne, Drake and Ed Sheeran. The summer before he started at Ohio University, Knox finally picked up a guitar. He learned everything in those few months, self-taught through YouTube videos. Knox began playing open mic nights and by his sophomore year, his musical ambitions were so all-consuming that he dropped out of school, moved in with his grandma and began saving up money to start his life in Nashville. He made the leap in January 2019.Knox used covid isolation time to work on his craft. His focus paid off: his songs caught the attention of John Harvie, who placed a few on his album, as well as Harvie's label. Knox signed a publishing deal in 2022 but was struck with the urge to record a collection of songs he had been working on. The final result was How to Lose a Girl in 7 Songs, Knox's debut EP. With his own songs ready, he now needed to build a fanbase. Knox began filming TikToks featuring his song “Sneakers, and one amassed nearly two million views overnight. “Sneakers” has since reached over 16 million streams.Knox has since started to get on the road, opening for the Band Camino and Boys Like Girls (an emo staple he grew up with). “I'm six states away from home and there's a thousand people in the audience that are singing the song that I wrote with my friends in my bedroom,” he recalls. “And that's when it gets you, when you see real people genuinely connecting to something that I made with my best friends. It's the most unreal feeling in the world.”We want to hear from you! Please email Hello@BringinitBackwards.com.www.BringinitBackwards.com#podcast #interview #bringinbackpod #Knox #Sneakers #HowToLoseAGirlin7Songs #NewMusic #ZoomListen & Subscribe to BiBhttps://www.bringinitbackwards.com/follow/ Follow our podcast on Instagram and Twitter! https://www.facebook.com/groups/bringinbackpod

His title may be a mouthful, but it just exemplifies how many things Ayappa Biddanda can do, and do well, that he is Senior Director, Grass Roots & Video Promotion/Tour & Events Marketing at Concord, the largest truly independent music and theatrical rights company in the world. In an Industry Spotlight a few years ago, Ayappa told Play MPE some of his career highlights included: booking Matt Nathanson on The Howard Stern Show; booking Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats on The Grand Ole Opry; setting up an album event for Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; coordinating an unprecedented video premiere across MTV Live, MTVU, CMT Music, BET Soul, and BET Centric for Valerie June; being with O.A.R. on Capitol Hill in DC for Arts Advocacy Day alongside Norman Lear and Rep. John Lewis; booking Melissa Etheridge on the Power 106 Morning Show in LA to discuss her tribute to Stax. We talked about not only some of these stories, but how he's also gotten to work with legends like Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker, Dolly Parton & Indigo Girls as well as newer artists like Amythyst Kiah and Allison Russell, coming from East Tennessee out to L.A. and back to Nashville, where he currently resides.

Canada was first introduced to the comedic mind of Daryn Jones on his early 2000s Comedy Network show Buzz, which featured he and Mista Mo in various sketches and random bits and interviews on the streets of Toronto. In the many years since, Jones has become a household name -- and even for those that might not instantly recognize the name, they've almost certainly seen his work on CBC's The Mercer Report, doing pieces for Hockey Night in Canada and George Stroumboulopoulos, and as the longtime host of MTV's flagship show, MTV Live. Since leaving his regular gigs on television, Jones has spent a lot more time working on stand-up comedy, a return to what first brought him into the spotlight doing Yuk Yuk's amateur nights at 17 years old. A couple weeks ago I got the chance to speak with Daryn about his upcoming visit to the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, a look back at his career thus far, and what's on the horizon for this extremely talented host and comedian.

Kris & David are guestless this time out as we discuss the week that was March 17th-23rd, 1998. We start with WCW, talking about Eric Bischoff appearing on TSN's Off the Record and all the interesting talking points he put out there, the drama between Hulk Hogan & Kevin Nash's factions in WCW—especially regarding Sean Waltman's status in the company, Diamond Dallas Page & Raven shooting a big angle on MTV Live, plus Nitro & Thunder, of course. We go to Japan for news on Vader appearing on AJPW's Tokyo Dome show, NJPW doing big business, FMW going on PPV with DirecTV Japan, the end of Kingdom, a STACKED U.S. indie section, and, in WWF, the build to WrestleMania including Mike Tyson and DX making quite the appearance on Raw. Awesome show as always, so listen now!!!!Timestamps:0:00:00 WCW1:20:22 Japan: AJPW, NJPW, FMW, Michinoku Pro, Kingdom, Pancrase, AJW, Arsion, GAEA, JWP, & LLPW1:49:04 Classic Commercial Break1:55:22 Housekeeping/The Amazon Game2:20:44 Latin America: AAA, CMLL, Monterrey, Promo Azteca, & WWC2:32:48 Other USA: WWA, NEW, USWF (NY), Larry Sharpe, NWANJ, AWC, WWSA, JAPW, ECW, AAW (PA), CPW, ECWA, IPWA, Music City, MPPW, ASPW, UCW (OH), UWF (LA), ASWF, APW, & Pillman Memorial3:09:31 WWFTo support the show and get access to exclusive rewards like special members-only monthly themed shows, go to our Patreon page at Patreon.com/BetweenTheSheets and become an ongoing Patron.
