New Ontario law proposed: Extinguishers for Cindy or "Cindy's Law." Cindy Devine died in a vehicle fire in London, ON, 2 years ago after being hit by a drunk driver. Her friend Tony Bendel began a campaign to require each vehicle to contain a fire extinguisher. Thursday Rob, a guest on RGS 2 years ago, engaged at the provincial legislature with Cindy's husband Richard Devine, during a session when the Exitinguishers for Cindy legislation was to be read into the record. The labour dispute between educational workers, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, and Doug Ford's Progressive Conservative government has escalated this week. The union issued its strike notice on Sunday and the government responded with back-to-work legislation that included the controversial notwithstanding clause on Monday.Talks broke down on Thursday afternoon after the mediator decided the two sides were still too far apart. The union has decided to proceed with a protest that the province's legislation has made illegal. The landing on New Ontario proves to be full of surprises, as the ships appear to dissolve on impact with the ground. And, as the team makes plans to meet their new contacts, the Szzzyyyxx crew members appear dangerously attracted to a powerful electric force on the surface.
Sally meets an unexpected familiar face on New Ontario while Diego and Ian make a shocking discovery. Apparently, Bass was concealing an extremely dangerous weapon in his belongings that could change everything. And now it is time for Sally to meet the Benefactor himself at the center of the great pyramid.
On their way to New Ontario, Sally discovers that Bass's folly has endangered their mission, while at the same time Diego's eccentricities have proven amazingly useful.
Sally and her crew begin their journey to New Ontario in a Szzzyyyxx ship, but questions still emerge concerning Ian's strange crew member. They also speak to their unknown contact on New Ontario, who apparently has no name.
On Baltan, Sally is confronted with news of new construction on New Ontario. A Russian spy drone delivered images of a massive pyramid shaped structure being built over one of the Masters' palaces and somebody on the planet wants to talk peace with Earth. Sally's only option is to call in a favor from an old friend.
Sally has only just arrived home, but now she is needed again. She has no idea what to expect when the U.N. Space Commissioner calls her into his office for a hushed meeting, but when she hears that a Japanese ship may be on its way to New Ontario, she knows her homecoming will be short-lived. This time she will be commanding a military ship, which apparently includes a mysterious and possibly problematic second in command. With a short deadline, she must begin to assemble her crew and return to service.
As the hours count down for their departure from New Ontario, Vladimir spends some quality time with his daughter, but even she is not to know the details of his plans. But when the final hour strikes, all hell breaks loose as Jackie's prophesy is revealed.
Vladimir continues to plan unknown mischief, but now the stakes are higher. On a visit home, Sally sees that Jackie has painted an amazingly detailed image of the Kelthy and New Ontario. But does this image predict the future? If so, disaster may waiting.
Ian's discussion with Obiiilion grows heated when he discovers the nature of her interest in Scott. At the same time Sally and Daaarrrm face off in a deadly duel. Earth's first contact with New Ontario is concluded with an armed conflict.
Ian and Sally continue their search for Anderson on the surface of New Ontario while Vladamir Coronov procedes with his clandestine plans to take over the ship. Meanwhile, we get our first look at what it means to be a Master.
Sally and Ian take their first hike on New Ontario, now finding the remains of humanoid creatures, one of which is not quite dead. Meanwhile, Vlad puts a case to his superiors in Moscow
Sally and Ian venture to the surface of New Ontario in search of Anderson and Ian's unconventional flight plan is put to the ultimate test.
