Ron Hutchcraft has spent decades as a Christian broadcaster, a ministry leader, a mission worker, and a sought-after speaker at religious conferences. In October, he was featured at the Family Life Pastor's Conference, providing inspiration to well over 200 pastors from Pennsylvania and New York. In conjunction with his visit to our listening area, he was interviewed by Family Life News, seeking his recommendations for clergy and for congregations. In light of today's difficult trends where 42 percent of congregational pastors are ready to quit, there is much which needs done to strengthen the church and reverse that reality. In our conversation, Hutchcraft looks at the Big Three challenges identified by that research, offers practical steps to reduce stresses and loneliness, and warns that church fights over politics or social issues are against the Bible's calling. He points to the impact of Covid shutdowns and mandates and disagreements, and gives a movie-plot parallel. You also will hear reminders that the church's shepherds also hold responsibility to address their own misguided motivations and unhelpful mission drift. Ron Hutchcraft leads Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, which works to provide spiritual rescue, bringing hope to unchurched people in the language of the listener. RHM also operates "On Eagles Wings", an evagelistic and training outreach to Indigenous young people. His daily radio story, "A Word With You", airs multiple times each weekday on Family Life broadcasting, plus our online streams. A parallel Family Life Podcast is also available: Check our pastors' first-person stories on "The Calling" with Steve Smith. Episodes can be found here.

It is boom time for the ancient method of food production known as fermentation. And it is being driven by the growth in alternative proteins. As the sector grows, new ingredients are being created by fermentation, and research is showing even greater possibilities for the future. Of course, as any lover of beer, wine, yoghurt, and cheese knows fermentation is nothing new. But modern methods like biomass fermentation and precision fermentation are helping people innovate, not just through new products but also through incredible efficiencies in production. Even at its most basic, fermentation seems like a slightly magical process. So, in this episode of the Food Matters Live podcast, we investigate at the science and look to the future to ask where the sector might be heading. Listen to the full episode to find out how fermentation is defined, how the process works, and why, despite being around for centuries, it could have a significant role in the future of food. The time is now for spaces that advocate, cultivate, and share our health and wellness stories of black women globally. And my guest for this episode has enriched this space with powerful dialogue and stories that leave a lasting impression and inspire women to champion and prioritize their own health and wellbeing. In this episode of The Sub-Saharan Beauty podcast, I'm joined by Nnenna Kalu Makanjuola, the founder and editor-in-chief of Radiant Health Magazine, a bi-annual print and digital magazine for black women. Their mission is to tell our own health stories and inspire Black women to live their healthiest, happiest, and most meaningful life. Nnenna's passion and commitment to health and wellness advocacy began at an early age following her first-hand witness of her father's journey with heart disease resulting in the need for a heart transplant. This experience would later inform her career journey as a pharmacist and public health professional. In our conversation, we talk about the pivotal moment when she decides to launch the Radiant Health Magazine (RHM) without any prior publication experience and her entrepreneurial journey/evolution with RHM. From its inception to today, RHM has shifted from a more niche Nigerian audience to a global audience inspiring and championing Black women everywhere. While previous additions Nnenna uncovers some of the intentional decisions she has made with the publication, including the choice to use everyday women as the cover story vs the traditional celebrity covers. She shares why this was her way of keeping the authentic voice of the publication and also a means to ensure that black women are represented authentically. Episode Timeline: • [3:29] Nnenna describes her personal and professional background with health and how they influenced the birth of RHM. • [12:28] The entrepreneurial journey to starting Radiant Health Magazine and the learning curve for launching a digital and print publication. • [15:39] How the magazine shifted from a more niche Nigerian audience to a global audience inspiring and championing Black women everywhere • [21:29] The importance of representation and advocacy of black women in the health and wellness space • [26:00] The stories behind Nnenna's favorite issues including her father's prolonged heart condition story. • [30:40] Affirming positive health and wellness practices as black women. • [34:11] Why she's focusing on fulfilling what the radiant needs to live a life of health and wellness. • [46:59] The present and future of Radiant Magazine ***THE EPISODE WAS RECORDED EARLY THIS YEAR, PRIOR TO THE RELEASE OF THE LATEST PUBLICATION: THE SELF-CARE ISSUE. Cavoli avevo 7 anni e pensavo all'epoca a provola e soppressata. Vabbe' continuamo.

The one where Green Blooded Bastard watches Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark! It is what it is. *production note* This episode had some asshole cutting the lawn outside so I heavily muted that sound/ silenced it as best that i could. Also Charter was experiencing problems so i had buffer issues and I did my best to fix the issue and keep it close to correct timing. At the moment where i say that I want to smash someone's skull is where the splice is, luckily it's within the last 10 mins of the movie and should be close. Fuck it!

RHM pronounced as "Raham" means either womb or compassionate, tenderness, or mercy depending on teh context that it is used. When it is used in a singular sense, it tends to signify something physical. While when used in a plural sense it conveys a sense of compassion, tenderness, and mercy. The literal reading however would be "womb" or "wombiness". This Mother's Day we will look at some of the more amazing qualities that mothers and the God of Creation have in common.
