In 1999, the teen sex comedy was revitalized with the release of the shocking and wildly successful film American Pie. The box office juggernaut would become a modern classic and spark a franchise akin to the National Lampoon series. On today's episode of the Gimme Three Podcast, we explore the first three American Pie films. The gang's all here: Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Shannon Elizabeth, Sean William Scott, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Natasha Lyonne, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and of course, Eugene Levy, and Jennifer Coolidge. Welcome to our podcast series from The Super Network and Pop4D called Tubi Tuesdays Podcast! This podcast series is focused on discovering and doing commentaries/watch a longs for films found on the free streaming service Tubi, at TubiTVYour hosts for Tubi Tuesdays are Super Marcey, ‘The Terrible Australian' Bede Jermyn, Prof. Batch (From Pop4D & Web Tales: A Spider-Man Podcast) and Kollin (From Trash Panda Podcast), will take turns each week picking a film to watch and most of them will be ones we haven't seen before.Film Starts Playing At: 00:09:21Welcome back to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast, the number one Tubi related podcast that's hosted by two Australians, one Canadian and one American! Some how the two Australians Super Marcey and Bede Jermyn got lost in champions (or Bede is trying to avoid Kraven, we don't know), so that leaves Prof. Batch and Trash Panda Kollin to steer the ship for the week! So without the Aussies, Batch and Kollin have gone with a bonus pick to celebrate the great nation of Canada with Goon (2011)! Will this podcast get cancelled? I guess you'll have to listen in and find out!Goon was directed by Michael Dowse, it stars Sean William Scott, Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill, Kim Coates, Eugene Levy and Liev Schreiber. If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film and provide time stamps to keep in sync.Highlights include:* Batch and Kollin this week!* Is Bede avoiding Kraven?* Oooo hockey, Canada eh!* How much did the boys smoke?* Did Ray Cist show up again?* How can Kollin not like Letterkenny or Shoresy?* The boys definitely paid attention to the movie!* Plus much, much more!Check out The Super Network on Patreon to gain early access to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast!DISCLAIMER: This audio commentary isn't meant to be taken seriously, it is just a humourous look at a film. It is for entertainment purposes, we do not wish to offend anyone who worked on and in the film, we have respect for you all.Music provided by DeNNo, introduction and podcast editing by Super Marcey & Bede Jermyn Hosted on Acast. With Canada/US relations at their lowest point since we burned down their White House, we felt we should try generating some cross-border goodwill. We invited good friend of the show Josh Skaar (TalkSMAC podcast) to share in a bit of Canadiana as we take on Sean William Scott's GOON. Surprisingly our first hockey centered movie, GOON is largely a fun, competent comedy that we all liked. Of course, because we're a bunch of movie snobs, that doesn't stop us from beating up on this one a bunch. For our non-Canadian friends, here is a link to the Halifax Explosion we mentioned at the end of the episode. Once you're done listening, keep the conversation going on our Discord channel!
After four seasons of glorious absurdity, televangelist satire "The Righteous Gemstones" is wrapping things up—and it's as hilariously chaotic and surprisingly heartfelt as ever. Created by Danny McBride, the series follows the Gemstones, a wealthy televangelist family whose constant bickering is matched only by their love of greed, fame, and—occasionally—each other. The final season stars McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Adam Devine, Tony Cavalero, and Walton Goggins and introduces new faces like Megan Mullally and Sean William Scott.READ MORE: The 75 Most Anticipated TV Shows Of 2025Joining Bingeworthy for a hilarious farewell to the series is creator/star Danny McBride, alongside Cassidy Freeman, Adam Devine, and Tony Cavalero. The conversations covered everything from emotional goodbyes and surprising cameos to the genuine friendships behind their characters' bizarre antics.

"You know what I used to do at breakfast? Podcast. Know what I used to at lunch? Podcast. - Dave takes 2008's Role Models off the shelf. He feels the movie's sense of humour aligns with his and found himself yearning to join LAIRE. Phil found himself strangely moved by all the relationships in the movie. Finally enjoys a performance of Sean William Scott and completely bought in to the story of misfits finding acceptance and friendship. A movie better than it has any right to be.

They put commercials on this platform and we then give us this garbage? Maybe time to switch to cable.... "Jackpot" (2024) is an absolute disaster from the get-go. The plot is so implausible that it feels like it couldn't exist in any universe, let alone ours. Nothing about it makes sense, and from the opening scenes, you're left scratching your head, wondering why the writers even bothered. The jokes? If you can call them that—seem unfinished, like someone wrote the setup and forgot to add the punchline. You're constantly waiting for a laugh that never comes. It's awkward, and the humor falls completely flat. The core premise of Jackpot (2024) is so utterly absurd that it crumbles under the weight of its own illogic within the first few minutes. The entire film revolves around the idea that if you win a massive lottery, you are immediately hunted by the entire state of California. Yes, you read that right—if you're lucky enough to hit the jackpot, your life instantly turns into a non-stop manhunt, where literally everyone is out to kill you. So, naturally, the question that comes to mind is: Why in the world would anyone buy a lottery ticket? Think about it—nobody in their right mind would want to win, because the moment they do, their life is effectively over. Instead, the incentive in this ridiculous world is to not win, but to track down and kill the unlucky winner. This bizarre twist undermines the entire concept of a lottery in the first place. Lotteries exist because people want to win huge amounts of money. In Jackpot, the goal seems to be the opposite—everyone is actively rooting for someone else to win so they can hunt them down. This paradox creates a plot that is fundamentally impossible. If no one wants to win, the lottery can't work. It's like creating a race where the objective is to lose but expecting everyone to keep competing. The action sequences are equally frustrating. They're so vague and poorly choreographed that it's nearly impossible to tell what's going on. It feels like you're watching someone play a video game with the brightness turned down and no clear objectives. And then, they go ahead and kill Sean William Scott in the first ten minutes. Seriously? That's an instant walk-away moment for me. If you're going to take out one of the few redeeming qualities of a movie so early on, what's even the point? "Jackpot" is an absolute failure, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a coherent story, solid laughs, or even enjoyable action. Skip it.
It is the final Tuesday Reviewsday of the offseason and we're going out with a bang, discussing the Sean William Scott classic, GOON!Plus, further discussion on Alexei Kolosov and a further dive into expectations for Matvei Michkov as rookie and training camps draw nearer.

After waking up from a strange dream, famous action star, Boxer Santaros, finds himself struck with amnesia, as he traverses through dystopian Southern California with Ronald Taverner, who is looking for his twin brother Roland, and Krysta Now, former adult actress turned reality tv star and entrepreneur, who are all entangled in a web of conspiracies that involves neo-Marxists, the Patriot Act, a prophetic screenplay, World War III, quantum teleportation, and the end of the world. Richard Kelly's prescient satire came at a time when the world was not ready to look itself in the mirror. Some may say Kelly himself is a prophet from the future, and others may deem him as an overly ambitious filmmaker stricken by naivety and luck. However, with a star-studded cast involving Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean William Scott, Justin Timberlake, Mandy Moore, Amy Poehler, and Kevin Smith, Southland Tales may be the most polarizing and divisive film of all time, yet, to Kelly, it was his most proud piece of work. Whether or not you love it, hate it, or feel somewhere in the middle, this film will garner a reaction out of you for better or for worse. Regardless, we hope you enjoyed the discussion and we strongly suggest you check out this underrated gem. Today on No Bad Ideas: nuclear subs! Naked landlords! Court cases! Ashton Kutcher and Sean William Scott! And more! First, Sarah brings us an article about the unlikely place where some classified documents wound up. Gabriel is horrified that they actually find a narrative arc in the silly comedy of errors they come up with. Then, Gabriel presents the story of a German landlord who loves to share everything with his tenants. The gang turns it into - what else? - a combative romantic comedy. All of that, plus: visits to ex-girlfriends' houses, little red hats (not worn on the head), inspired cameos, the worst Where's Waldo of Zoom, someone who is just Mark Strong. Remember 2008's Role Models starring Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott? We remember that it was funny, back then. We kind of remember the role-playing nerd and the little kid with the potty mouth. And the weird but funny Program Director that is Jane Lynch. Actually, we remember this movie being downright hilarious. So let's go back to 2008 and watch Role Models and see if it's still as funny as we remember. Fingers Crossed.Do You Remember Liking This Movie?
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss American Pie, the first film in the American Pie series. American Pie is responsible for kicking off a new R-rated sex comedy craze not seen since Revenge of the Nerds over a decade prior. Paul Weitz's (About a Boy, Little Fockers) directorial debut stars a mixture of fresh-faced actors (Jason Biggs, Shannon Elizabeth, Sean William Scott) and seasoned former child actors (Alyson Hannigan, Natasha Lyonne, Thomas Ian Nicholas) in a somewhat raunchy tale of high school romance. At times annoying, cheesy, and funny, American Pie takes viewers back to when the Internet was a novelty and sex crimes were punchlines. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but anchoring it all is an uncool yet heartfelt performance from SCTV alum Eugene Levy as Jim's Dad. American Pie has enough good spots where it's worth hunting down. Pervasive milquetoast needledrops abound. Sequelcast 2 and Friends is part of the Tokyo Beat Podcast Network. Hello fiends and familiars, we return this week with an action extravaganza as we take a look back at the early days of Dwayne Johnson's film career to talk about The Rundown. The celebration of rock and roll in all its glory! Made up and ready to serve HOT with Flames and shit! Seriously, this is a celebration of machismo, loud music, youth, sex and rock and roll. Kiss may not have wanted to expand the boundaries of music, but they loved having a good time, and it reflected in this album. From Shout it out Loud to Detroit Rock City, rock anthems were plentiful, but they didn't dominate it altogether, with Beth slowing things down at just the right time. We'll give you a synopsis of the songs and people who contributed beyond the band, including the choirs, orchestras and individual contributors involved. We also poke fun at Gene's womanizing, Ace's high pitched laugh, and Sean William Scott's explanation of Love Gun to his little in the movie Role Models. Enjoy!!Support the show

"Does the toothfairy exist, and if she does, what would you do if someone stole your toothfairy money?" Hello everyone and welcome to Thirsty For BBC a mini dive into the striking and charming Chow Yun-Fat. This time the gang does Bulletproof Monk with Sean William Scott and honestly it is kind of a bad movie. But Brandon and Aleks had a blast discussing this movie with friend of the show Keenan, who was asked to do this episode because of the incorrect assumption that his father had worked on it. They discuss Keenan being an "industry brat" in this extremely charming and fun episode of the show! Please join the Patreon and Discord for further discussion of the episode!
Welcome to another episode of Nick Nack Goes To The Movies. With nothing crazy coming out that I was dying to dedicate to a whole episode. I wanted to tackle a longstanding horror franchise that had been on my desk for ages, in the early inception of this podcast. And with the day that it was, I was curious for a 4th themed horror something or another too. And we did I Know What You Did Last Summer already, so it was time for this franchise to have a Final Destination on this movie review podcast. 5 movies to go made from 2000-2011, it has been a bit since we tackled a full franchise, but this was the one to bring those episodes back for a bit before we get lost in the Summer blockbusters like Nope and the latest Thor movie. And there are some name brand enough actors in this, horror legend Tony Todd along with Sean William Scott, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and of course Courtney B. Vance. While this franchise might not get the love others do as a complete body of work, there are some cool ideas explored throughout, and that first one and a few really cool set-piece moments that really do traumatize you from everything in the world. So let's be afraid of the world together and get through all of this franchise on HBO Max and see if we make it through! What is your favorite of the bunch and what is your take on them as a whole series? Let me know on social at Nick Nack Movies and NickNack_IC on Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Letterboxd.

Plot:Doug Glatt (Sean William Scott), a bouncer at a bar in Massachusetts, feels ostracized from society, especially since his father and brother are both successful physicians. Doug attends a minor league hockey game with his best friend Pat (Jay Baruchel). Pat taunts the visiting team during a fight and one of their players climbs into the stands, calling him a homosexual slur. Doug (whose brother is gay) steps in and easily beats up the opposing player, as Pat films him, and the video goes is played on Pats hockey show, prompting the coach to call in and tell Doug to come try out as an enforcer. -I like how it starts, with the fight;-I cant see Sean William Scott and not see Stiffler-Jays hair is rediculous, with the cuts...and one is crooked-That was a brutal fight-Are those the guys from the Trailer Park Boys in the studio?-Good for Doug getting his 'thing'-Jay has a terrible Boston accent Meanwhile, veteran enforcer and Doug's idol Ross "The Boss" Rhea (Liev Schreiber) is demoted to the minors after serving a 20-game suspension for slashing an opponent in the head from behind. Three years prior, Rhea hit and concussed the highly-skilled prospect Xavier Laflamme (Marc-André Grondin), who has had trouble recovering from the incident due to the fear of being hit, resulting in his being stuck in the minors. After earning the nickname "The Thug," Doug was hired by a farm team in Canada where Laflamme plays, the Halifax Highlanders, to protect Laflamme and be his roommate. The Highlanders experience success with Doug as their enforcer, and he quickly becomes popular among fans and teammates, much to the chagrin of his parents and Laflamme, who loses ice time and the alternate-captaincy to Doug.Doug also becomes romantically involved with Eva (Alison Pill), a hockey fan with a penchant for players. -So he went from not playing hockey, to an amateur team, to a pro team in, like, 2-3 games?-Def weird to sign someones dick. The Eva arch is interesting... Not sure what scared her off.-She walked in talking to her bf, and only pulled back after they kissed? With four games left on their schedule, the Highlanders need two wins to secure a playoff spot. On a road game in Quebec after an opposing player concusses Laflamme with a heavy hit, Doug savagely beats the player unconscious and is suspended for the next game against Rhea and the St. John's Shamrocks. Doug encounters Rhea at a diner, where Rhea dismisses Doug's claim that he is a hockey player, calling him a goon. Though Rhea acknowledges Doug's physical prowess and gives Doug his respect, Rhea warns him that if they ever meet on the ice, he will "lay [him] the fuck out." The Highlanders (with Doug suspended and Laflamme hospitalized) lose to the Shamrocks. Doug reaches out to Laflamme, and promises him he will always have his back on the ice. In their next game, the Highlanders lead 1–0 thanks to strong teamwork between Doug and Laflamme. -Glad his family showed up, they're supportive-Doug in the bedroom was intense-Did Doug let the guy check LeFlamme? and fake going after him afterwards?-Eva calling herself a slut and admitting to sleeping around was an odd turn-Interesting meeting between Doug and Rhea-Stomach light?-I don't understand the turn around with LeFlamme In the final seconds, Doug blocks a slapshot with his face and his ankle is injured in the ensuing scramble. The Highlanders win, but they need a win against Rhea and the Shamrocks in their last game for a playoff spot. After two periods, the Shamrocks are beating the Highlanders 2–0. Rhea and Doug drop the gloves in the third period. Doug is knocked down first, but Rhea calls off the linesmen and allows him to get back up. Doug manages to break Rhea's nose, but breaks his previously injured ankle in the process. Doug manages to stand back up and knocks out Rhea with a vicious left hook. Eva and his teammates help a seriously injured Doug off the ice and Laflamme, inspired by Doug's efforts and Rhea's defeat, scores a natural hat trick, giving the Highlanders a 3–2 lead.As the game enters its final minute, the final scene has Eva comforting Doug in the locker room as he comments, "I think I nailed him." -Damn the puck to the face... but a good stop.-Do Doug and Rhea will meet in the playoffs, and LaFlamme doesn't walk on the logo-The music during the last game was weird... very tense and ominous. Not what you'd expect.-Whats with the weak ankles? Never mentioned before the fight.-That fight was pretty epic and brutal, worth the wait.-Like how Rhea smiled when he was getting up-Good, happy ending. The end Top Five Trivia of the movie: TOP 5 FACTSSeann William Scott gained weight for the role of Doug Glatt, as well as taking intensive skating lessons and fighting on ice.A great majority of the cast is comprised by Canadian actors, including the well-established actors in Hollywood like Jay Baruchel, Kim Coates, Alison Pill and Eugene Levy. The only non-Canadians in major roles are Minnesota-native Seann William Scott and New Yorker Liev Schreiber. Ironically, Baruchel plays an American character (a thickly-accented Massachusetts native) in the film, while Schreiber plays a Canadian character. The scene where Rhea sheds crocodile tears during a press conference was a reference to NHL player Todd Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi, playing for the Vancouver Canucks at the time, punched Colorado Avalanche's Steve Moore in the back of the head during a game causing an injury that would end Moore's career. In a press conference afterwards, an emotional Bertuzzi tearfully apologized for the incident, which cost him a $500,000 salary deduction and a 17 month suspension.Seann William Scott gained weight for the role of Doug Glatt, as well as taking intensive skating lessons and fighting on ice.In an interview with hockey blog Puck Daddy, Liev Schreiber notes that he was inspired by former hockey enforcer Bob Probert. As an homage to the player, he taped his wrists for the film, just as Probert had done when he played. **TRIPLE LINDY AWARD** **REVIEW AND RATING** TOP 5Stephen:1 Breakfast club2 T23 Sandlot4 Back to the Future5 Mail order brides Chris:1. sandlots2. Wayne, from the show FLORIDA MEN ON FLORIDA MAN, joins Dave, Tara & Adam for a movie about the future, the past and the present!Well today we're bringing together the best..? of Florida and Los Angeles, as University of Miami grad meets Hollywood in one single man – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – but as we'll see, if the man the Rock “was” meets with the man the Rock “is” then it's the end of reality! In near-future 2008, Los Angeles (referred to as "The Southland" by locals) is a dystopian[8] city on the brink of chaos overshadowed by the growth of an underground neo-Marxist organization. The film follows the criss-crossed destinies of Boxer Santaros (Dwayne Johnson), an action film actor stricken with amnesia; Krysta Now (Sarah Michelle-Geillor), a psychic ex-porn star in the midst of creating a reality TV show; and twin brothers Roland and Ronald Taverner (Both played by Sean William Scott), whose destinies become intertwined with that of all mankind. The Taverner twins are revealed to be the same person by the engineers of Treer, duplicated when Roland traveled through a rift in space-time, while Boxer has become the most wanted man in the world despite his political ties and his having the fate of the future, in the form of a prophetic screenplay foretelling the end of the world, in his hands.
