During his teenage years, Mark met a man named Luther Brown (choreographer/judge of So You Think You Can Dance Canada), who was soon to be his mentor, partner and close friend for many years to come. Luther invited Mark to be a part of Canada's first ever Hip-Hop/R&B Dance Agency – Do Dat Entertainment. While dancing for Do Dat, Mark performed with countless Canadian artists, such as Jully Black, Shawn Desman, Maestro Fresh Wes, Victoria Duffield and Nelly Furtado to name a few. He has also performed at some of the industries top stellar events, such as the Juno Awards, The MMVA’s, Canadian Idol, Canada's Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance Canada.   Mark decided to make his next major move: to become a dancer in U.S. He had the opportunity to work with the some of America's biggest choreographers such as Fatima Robinson, Laurie-Ann Gibson, Sho-Tyme and Hi Hat. Canadian pop star Shawn Desman has been relatively quiet on the musical front of late, but he's headed to Alberta for a few shows mid-February and checks in with us to share some hints of what fans can expect. We also get the scoop on upcoming new music, the Move dance competition and convention, and more. Nova Scotia's Dylan Guthro, Breagh Mackinnon, and Carleton Stone each set aside on-the-rise solo projects to focus on their new folk-pop project, Port Cities. In the months since, the band's popularity has skyrocketed and now they're ready to release their debut LP. We speak with Guthro and Stone about their formation, musical chemistry, huge success on Spotify, and what lies ahead. And finally, Toronto City Councilor Josh Colle checks in to talk about the string of recent small- to mid-sized venue closures and how the city is looking to address concerns from the music community.

Burlington, Ontario Country artist TEBEY - now living in Nashville - first found success on Country radio back in 2002 with his single We Shook Hands (Man To Man). He was recognized with a Canadian Radio Music Award nomination for Best New Male Country Artist, a CMT special documenting his development as an artist and a segment on CBC Radio’s ‘Sounds Like Canada.’ The single reached # 3 in Canada and went top 40 in the U.S. but RCA didn't release the album (which featured the single) because the song didn't break the top 20. Determined to not let that setback end his music career, Tebey focused on his skills as a songwriter and soon found his songs being recorded by various artists Over the years, his songs have been recorded by Emerson Drive, Doc Walker, Jason Blaine, Chad Brownlee, Aaron Pritchett, and Big & Rich - among others. He has also had his songs recorded outside the country genre, by pop acts like One Direction, Shawn Desman and Cher. Over the last couple of years, Tebey's own albums have had great success at country radio: The Wait in 2012 featuring the single Somewhere In The Country and Two in 2014 featuring his cover of Wake Me Up and his own songs Till It's Gone & Let It Down.
