The Voice Of GO(r)D podcast is very happy to bring you a great history lesson which addresses the question of what a Canadian is, given the destruction of Canadian identity we see after decades of caustic acid poured on the country by the Trudeau Dynasty and their ‘Post Nationalist State' nonsense.Lance Audette is a multi generational cattle rancher and can trace the history of his own family as far back as 1663, who eventually moved from Québec to Saskatchewan, and has connections to the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The man is as Canadian as it gets, and you want to hear his oral history as delivered to me.You can find Lance on Twitter - https://x.com/LaserAudWe mention our online colleague Fortissax; this is a great essay by him about French history in Canada. Fortissax often discusses Le Filles du Roi, of whom Lance is also a direct descendant.https://fortissax.substack.com/p/what-canada-can-learn-from-quebecFor my American and international listeners who might not know why there appears to be so much discontent in Canada at the moment, another writer here on Substack whom I am a big fan of, John Carter, gives us a status update on the joint.https://barsoom.substack.com/p/the-state-of-canadaIn the show we also reference this interview between Candace Malcolm and Daniel Tyrie, the maestro of the Dominion Society of Canada -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcb_wRy_5xMLance and I also discussed the Humboldt Tragedy, which looms large as a turning point in recent Canadian history and politics. Just this past weekend, former guest of this show Mocha Bezirgan, The Last Journalist in Canada, released a truly infuriating and deeply moving interview with Chris Joseph, the father of one of the boys killed in that completely unnecessary collision. Mr Joseph tells us how the media have been twisting and omitting the words of many families who have suffered great loss from this incident, and how the government campaign to keep Jaskirat Singh Sidhu in Canada is an affront to the entire country, misses out on what a contemptible figure Mr Sidhu is, and will remove any accountability from the trucking industry when the next tragedy like this takes place. And there will be more, especially from the folks sent here by Narendra Modi for his Profit through Emigration program. Please watch Mocha's interview here -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKjkFW84SXAAs always, thanks for listening, pass this around to interested parties, especially any friends or family members still caught under the spell of the CBC, and if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, corrections or Hate Mail, send them directly -gordilocks@protonmail.comIf you haven't already, please check out my book and consider ordering yourself a copy here -https://creedandculture.com/books/end-of-the-road-inside-the-war-on-truckers/Listeners in Canada should order it at Indigo and avoid the expense and hassle of my publisher having to deal with Canada Customs.https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/end-of-the-road-inside-the-war-on-truckers/9781967613021.htmlOutside of North America, consult with your local book store until I find out more about international distribution from my publisher.
Rahul Sidhu, narrating a new blog he wrote for the Dementia Researcher website. In this blog, Rahul reflects on his experience of imposter syndrome throughout his research career, from early lab work to PhD study. He describes the anxiety of feeling less capable than those around you, the pressure of comparisons within research groups, and the fear of asking questions or making mistakes. Rahul explains that these feelings are common in scientific careers and shares strategies that have helped him manage them, including focusing on growth rather than perfection, comparing progress only with your past self, asking for support from colleagues, taking action even when confidence is low, and practising self compassion. The blog offers reassurance that doubt does not mean you do not belong in science. In this episode, we tackle six burning (and mostly ridiculous) issues that Punjab just can't stop talking about:Sidhu Moose Wala vs Babbu Maan Fans – The Great Keyboard WarSomewhere in Punjab, two people are abusing each other over Sidhu Moose Wala and Babbu Maan… while the singers are busy making money and not even aware of their existence. Science even says extreme celebrity obsession lowers IQ, and after reading some of these comments, we believe it. Imagine burning your brain cells for someone who don't even know that you exist. Punjab Police's New SSF – Superman Service ForceChandigarh Police finally had to change their rules after the Punjab CM basically said, “Bas karo yaar.” Meanwhile, Punjab launched the SSF — not to be confused with WWE's Shield — whose main job is to help people on the road. Yes, you heard right… a police force that actually helps you instead of just checking your RC and asking, “Kitthon aa rahe ho?”Thar Owners – The Unofficial Road MafiaIf you own a Thar, congratulations — you automatically get a license to drive like Vin Diesel without brakes. Over-speeding, overtaking from footpaths, and honking at traffic lights like it's a sprint race — they do it all. In Punjab. You own a Thar not the road. It's just a car not a license to be an Idiot. Punjab vs Himachal – The Rivalry Nobody Asked ForEvery time some Punjabi boy misbehaves in Himachal and gets told off, it turns into “Himachal hates Punjab.” Bro, no one hates you — they just hate your parking style, your speaker volume, and your 14 friends dancing on the highway at midnight. Not everything is a border war; sometimes, it's just you being… you.Puwadh Region Mindset – Forever in 1980In Puwadh, some folks are still living in the good old days that never really existed. They'll sell their land for crores, then spend the rest of their life telling everyone, “Oye, eh zameen crore di hai!” But until you sell it, uncle, it's just dirt with nostalgia on top.The 500 Crore Geet Goraya “Scandal”Actress Geet Goraya said she'll only marry someone earning more than her… and joked that even ₹500 crore might not be enough. The internet lost its mind like she'd just announced GST on paranthas. Honestly, why are we so offended? Half the boys watching don't even have ₹500 in their PayTM wallet.Join this channel to get access to perks:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2iOVDWKiddCPKN89wBUhGg/join

We aim to tackle the most important questions we can find, unrestricted by the current Overton window. More details on our website. Why we exist We think that AGI might come soon (say, modal timelines to mostly-automated AI R&D in the next 2-8 years), and might significantly accelerate technological progress, leading to many different challenges. We don't yet have a good understanding of what this change might look like or how to navigate it. Society is not prepared. In our latest podcast episode, host Debra Schindler talks with Dr. Sunjeet Sidhu, a renowned cardiac electrophysiologist at MedStar Health, to explore the intricacies and benefits of this safer, faster, cutting-edge treatment. The number of those suffering with AFib, may even be an underestimate, but statistics show they are steadily increasing due to factors such as an aging population and the obesity epidemic. Traditionally, AFIB treatment involved thermal ablation methods, which, although effective, posed risks of collateral damage to surrounding tissues. Enter pulsed field ablation, a technique that uses ultra-short electrical pulses to target and destroy abnormal heart tissue without harming nearby structures. This method is not only safer but also more efficient, reducing procedure times significantly. Dr. Sidhu explains how pulsed field ablation works by creating a scar tissue barrier, effectively isolating the problematic areas of the heart that trigger AFIB. Unlike thermal ablation, which relies on heating or freezing tissues, pulsed field ablation uses electroporation to disrupt cell membranes, leading to cell death and scar formation. The heart cells are particularly sensitive to this type of injury, allowing for precise targeting without affecting surrounding tissues. The benefits of pulsed field ablation are manifold. Patients experience shorter procedure times, reduced anesthesia exposure, and fewer complications. Dr. Sidhu shares his firsthand experiences, noting a significant improvement in patient outcomes and satisfaction. He recounts a heartwarming story of a young mother who, after undergoing the procedure, was able to regain her quality of life and engage in activities with her children without the debilitating effects of AFIB.For more episodes of MedStar Health DocTalk, go to medstarhealth.org/doctalk.

'Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu claimed that his wife beat Stage IV breast cancer thanks to a special diet of neem leaves and alkaline water. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, recently shared a video of a travelling ticket examiner performing CPR on a fully conscious elderly passenger. These incidents would be amusing if they weren't so dangerous. A peculiar brand of medical misinformation that comes with an official stamp of approval is at play here. It speaks volumes about the state of scientific literacy among our leaders. This is the result of a carefully cultivated ecosystem where scientific temper has been systematically dismantled. The transformation of fringe theories into institutional policy was so gradual that many missed it. It started with our scientific institutions being demolished. Having replaced scientific temper with superstition, we're now watching the cost being calculated not in crores, but in preventable tragedies,' says Karanjeet Kaur, journalist and former editor of Arré, in this week's column.

As a proud owner of the exceedingly rare “two-digit” designation on CompuServe (the internet's precursor), I've always been an early adopter of new tech. I was, therefore, particularly excited to speak to Bilawal Sidhu, a one-man corporation whose prolific output outpaces many creators put together. Since he was 11, Bilawal has been passionate about using cutting-edge tech to create videos that unite reality with his imagination. He made his bones as a product manager at Google, but after his short-form videos generated millions of views on social media, he decided to go all-in on his creative projects, including this video showing ‘shadow aliens' invading Miami Mall, which racked up 11M views in 24 hours (!) on TikTok. Bilawal is also an adept rune-reader in the tech industry — his Creative Digest newsletter and YouTube channel offer insights and analysis on tech and market developments, while his TEDAI podcast broke the recent Helen Toner x OpenAI story. If you're a creator curious about the opportunities presented by cutting-edge tech, you're gonna love this episode.
