on this journey of self-discovery, i've been forced to realize some harsh truths about myself. one of these truths being that i had been holding my breath, unconsciously waiting on someone or something to come save me. from what, exactly? well... the findings are still pending (lol). but i wholeheartedly decided that i am no longer waiting to be saved. it's both fortunately and unfortunately no longer working for me. in this process of becoming the hero of my story, i noticed some life altering changes within this decision. in this episode, i reflect on the following themes: blame vs. responsibility forgiveness complaints vs. solutions radical self-acceptance self-narrative shifts inevitable transformation may this conversation find who it's meant to find. thank you for being here. thank you for allowing me to take up space + for allowing me into yours. know that you are loved. thank you BetterHelp for sponsoring this episode. visit BetterHelp.com/FTHH to get 10% off your first month. connect with ri: YouTube | Instagram | Tiktok connect with sunset tim: Music | Instagram connect with FTHH: YouTube | Instagram | TikTok | FTHH Website Music by $HVN if you are a brand that is interested in partnering with us, please email contact@forthehealthyhoes.com. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/forthehealthyhoes/support

Tony Overbay, LMFT, welcomes Kurt Francom, the executive director and podcast host of Leading Saints ([Leading Saints](https://www.leadingsaints.org)). Kurt's first book, "Is God Disappointed in Me: Removing Shame From the Gospel of Grace," is available on Amazon ([Amazon Link](https://amzn.to/49BYUCk)). In a candid admission, Tony shares his emotionally immature reaction upon discovering Kurt's book through a third party, revealing the concocted narratives in his head about their relationship, with Kurt unknowingly cast as the villain. The revelation of Tony's oversight in missing a crucial recording sent by Kurt months earlier brings to light the miscommunication that unwittingly altered their friendship dynamic. Peace is restored Through their conversation, and their bond of best friendship is reaffirmed. The discussion then shifts to Kurt's book, delving into the intricate concepts of ego and identity. They explore the notion of a healthy ego, the pervasive quest for validation, and how living for an identity differs fundamentally from living from an identity that has been validated by divine grace. Kurt highlights the identity paradox, suggesting that receiving grace allows us to extend it more freely. He references Carl Rogers, stating, "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can begin to change." This acceptance is seen not as a form of apathy but as a mindful acknowledgment that paves the way for genuine personal transformation. Kurt deepens the conversation by asserting that recognizing our inherent validation from God enables us to cultivate a meaningful relationship with Him. This evolution occurs not because of our deeds but due to our intrinsic value and identity. 00:00 Introduction and Casual Banter 00:33 Discussing Kurt Francom's New Book 01:34 Exploring the Concept of Acceptance 02:20 Reflecting on Personal Experiences and Challenges 03:26 The Importance of Validation and Acceptance 04:59 Unpacking the Imposter Syndrome 06:25 The Role of Repentance in Personal Growth 08:13 Understanding the Impact of Misunderstanding God 10:00 The Power of Acceptance in Personal Transformation 12:06 The Journey of Repentance and Turning to God 13:42 Conclusion: The Power of Acceptance and Repentance 22:10 Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms and Their Impact 22:42 The Role of Validation in Our Lives 23:37 The Struggle for Acceptance and Validation 24:42 The Power of God's Love and Validation 25:31 The Journey of Self-Discovery and Differentiation 26:48 The Importance of Embracing Change and Growth 28:03 The Role of Ego in Our Personal Development 28:38 The Power of Grace and Forgiveness 29:40 The Struggle with Validation and Recognition 30:07 The Journey of Writing a Book 31:21 The Power of Curiosity and Openness in Learning 32:20 The Role of Identity in Our Spiritual Journey 34:16 The Importance of Acceptance and Self-Respect 35:35 The Power of Differentiation and Self-Awareness 37:46 The Struggle with Defensive Narcissism 39:42 The Power of Acceptance and Self-Validation 41:44 The Journey of Self-Reflection and Growth 43:14 The Power of Humility and Self-Acceptance 44:06 The Journey of Writing and Publishing a Book 45:17 The Power of Authenticity and Self-Expression 45:55 The Importance of Embracing Change and Uncertainty 46:46 The Power of Self-Acceptance and Self-Love To learn more about Tony's upcoming re-release of the Magnetic Marriage course, his Pathback Recovery course, and more, sign up for his newsletter through the link at https://linktr.ee/virtualcouch Available NOW: Tony's "Magnetic Marriage Mini-Course" is only $25. https://magneticmarriage.mykajabi.com/magnetic-marriage-mini-course Please follow Tony's newest Instagram account for the Waking Up to Narcissism podcast https://www.instagram.com/wutnpod/ as well as Tony's account https://www.instagram.com/tonyoverbay_lmft/ Subscribe to Tony's latest podcast, "Waking Up to Narcissism Q&A - Premium Podcast," on the Apple Podcast App. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/waking-up-to-narcissism-q-a/id1667287384 Go to http://tonyoverbay.com/workshop to sign up for Tony's "Magnetize Your Marriage" virtual workshop. Had my friend - Dr. Jeremy Scott Dinkin - on for this episode talking about the world of Chiropractors and rehab based therapies. Topics discussed:-Wtf is a chiro? What's their job entail? What do they learn in school? Do they do more than just crack peoples back on TikTok??-Differences between a physical therapist and chiropractor-Red flags to look out for when deciding to see a chiro.. or nutrition coach or PT or trainer etc.-Common injuries in the space like back pain + where to start when treating it-Adjustments.. what are they, what's happening, are they always necessary for treatment/rehab?-Why lifting/resistance training is so damn important (when done correctly)+so much more in-between.To be honest.. I've had some experience working with chiros in the past but I still didn't have the best understanding what they do. I've primarily worked with PT's after injuries so this was a really helpful/fun episode for me.I loved this convo and I know you will too.Where to find Jeremy:IG: @rsm_athlete_docWhere to find me:IG: @lukesmithrdCheck out my website HERETIA for listening!
The holiday season is upon us and like everyone this time of year, Pierce & Josh are a little scatter brained... not quite like, "How will it be possible to make it to the in-laws on the same night as a work party?", but more along the lines of should cell cameras actually be legal? What's that one piece of gear the guys couldn't live without this season? Is Josh a hypocrite for telling folks to hunt public land but not telling them where he hunts? (Spoiler Alert: No!) Are we making hunting too easy for kids? How do we walk the line of introducing people to the sport of deer hunting and making them work, while also not sentencing them to a two year suck-fest of cold feet and blown opportunities? Should hunters have to figure it out for themselves or should we be helping one another along? If you like rabbit holes, this episode is for you! It's currently award season in America. The time of year when actors, musicians, video games, and many more are flaunted over and rewarded with shiny trophies. The RPGrinders have even awarded some games with the ultimate award, the GOAT. But what about the bad games and movies? The bad movies have the Razzies but what about video games? The Grinders have a solution! Today they will determine the Worst Movie to Video Game adaption! The Worst Game is only a small part of the show. Things go wrong from the start as Break botches the opening in place of a sick Frank. But the Grinders wont let that stop them from bringing the news, reviews, Stinkos, Sweetos, and maybe a little surprise. As always, the Grinders start with the news but in shorter form than usual. With Frank sick the Grinders don't spend as much time on the news as normal but that doesn't mean it is useless information. There were some new announcements: like the PC and mobile King Arthur: Legends Rise and the action RPG TMNT: the Last Ronin. No release date has been given for those two games but Caligula Effect: Overdose and Miasma Chronicles were given late May release dates. If May is too long a wait, Squenix has you covered with their Voice of Cards trilogy. Even though Frank is fighting the deadly cold virus he is able to give three new movie reviews! Are Utah Cabin Murders, Knock at the Cabin, or Puss in Boots worth the admission price? Maybe the first rule of horror movies should be "Don't go to a Cabin in the Woods." Coincidentally, Eric also reviewed a movie in the Shrek universe. As well as the made for men, lesbian anime Yurikuma Arashi. If you haven't figured out Frank's Stinko then I won't spoil the germy surprise. Of course, Republicans and Democrats make the list EVERY week. This time they are joined by their enabling mass media. In happier happenings, Break is enjoying some long over-due Halo Infinite updates and Frank is excited for John Wick 4. Thanks, for listening. Be sure to check us out every Friday LIVE at 7 PM Eastern. Wait, isn't there something else.... THE WORST VIDEO GAME TO MOVIE ADAPTION OF ALL TIME! Only 8 games remain but only one can earn the dubious title! Will E.T. gobble up the competition like a bag of Reece's Pieces or will he be stuck in that hole forever? Will Shrek Swamp Kart Racer live up to its new name, Swamp Ass? Does the Last Action Movie game suck worse than the movie reviews? (Fuck them! That movie rules!) Will Platoon live up to NES tradition of bad movie game adaptions? (Spoiler Alert. Yes. Yes it will.) Is Enter the Matrix the first (and only) thing that Keanu Reeve's can't save? Can Abraham Lincoln fighting Tyler Durden make an entertaining Fight Club game? (Spoiler Alert: No. No they can't.) What ya gonna do when a friend puts Bad Boys Miami in your PS2? Hint, get a new friend. Or better yet. Make your friend play the Gamecube's ultimate shame, Catwoman.
College football leaders are discussing a number of different solutions to potentially shorten the length of games. Is reducing the number of commercial breaks among them? (SPOILER ALERT: NO!) So what are they proposing? Tony Gerdeman of BuckeyeHuddle.com joins host Tom Orr to talk about four suggested tweaks, and how much they might impact the product on the field. Could they ban back-to-back timeouts to "ice" the kicker? What about eliminating untimed downs at the end of the first and third quarters? Are they about to eliminate clock stoppages on most first downs?Or are they even going to restart the clock following incomplete passes?

This week, I wanted to tackle a huge question: "Is this the end?" Spoiler Alert: No. It isn't. We're dealing with unpleasant realities at this time. Tune into the news, and you hear things like: Recession Inflation High Interest Rates the Labor Market the Great Resignation Bear Market Supply Chain Shortages War in Europe It's important to realize that the news media is in the business of selling fear. I don't mean to vilify the media...Fear is what we buy the most of, so that's mostly what they sell. But, how bad are things, really? Let's take a few minutes to break down where we are, how we got here, and what's next. [00:00] Intro / Declaring your independence [02:05] It's not that bad [02:54] The news sells fear (As they say, "If it bleeds, it leads.") [03:50] What really happened [05:50] The housing market (according to Dave Ramsey) [07:09] For those under 35... Nat & Prop O go on a slight....OK, a major detour this week, ending up talking about Glastonbury & their dream line ups, their all time favourite TV shows and effectively emphasise the similarities and differences between Generation X (Nat) and Gen Z(Ol). And no, Ollie still hasn't watched The Wire yet! Spoiler Alert : No football chat, but plenty of pop culture goodness!

Join the host of Crypto and Blockchain Talk, Aviva Ounap, as she and Jonathan Dunsmoor of Dunsmoor Law look at these pieces in turn and ask, is this the end? Bryce Young won the heisman... also, water is wet. Nobody should be shocked that the Alabama QB won the award, but what about how people voted? Should we feel upset that Will Anderson wasn't invited to New York? Is it weird that Aiden Hutchinson was ahead of another defensive player who had way better stats (Spoiler Alert: No). Also, why Marcus Freeman will make Notre Dame even better, Lincoln Riley makes USC a CFP contender as soon as next year, and Penn State and Ohio State make BIG Defensive Coordinator hires. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bigtenfootballtalk/support
Adam Sandler is one of the greats, no questions asked. HOWEVER, he really knows how to put out a healthy supply of poop fests too, but this 2015 Netflix original film might take the cow pie! Much of the Weekly Watch Wheel crew love westerns but will this comedy-western top our rankings? Spoiler Alert: No. No it will not. But at least we had some fun. Sorta.
