14:23 TH1971 “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” (I never did anything worth doing by accident, nor did any of my inventions come by accident; they came by work.) ปลูกขึ้นมาเอง เหมือนที่ จอร์จ เอเลียต นักเขียนนวนิยายชาวอังกฤษ ที่เขียนไว้ว่า “ฝนไม่เคยตกมาเป็นดอกกุหลาบ เมื่อเราต้องการดอกกุหลาบมากขึ้น เราต้องปลูกต้นกุหลาบมากขึ้น!“ (It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses we must plant more trees.) 15:22 THSV11 “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”

Here is Episode 18 of my Talking History Podcast in a vlog, where I get to talk to the amazing Maria A Zani who is an up-and-coming TV executive. We discuss everything from her being a music promoter, disability activist, working in film and tv, and being a neighbour and friend of a 99 year old socialite, who knew Henry Ford, Napoleon Hill, Thomas A. Edison and also joining the Napoleon Hill Institute to further her change in mindset and be able to achieve her goals. (Maria has many, and she is amazing, and can talk for Scotland, even though she's Italian!) Love her.

Think and Grow Rich Full Book SummaryMore Content On Bookey Book Summary Website. Think and Grow Rich teaches us that for millions of people, desire can be the driver of success. Anyone interested in following this path to success must take a few straightforward steps. To start, of course, we must have a strong desire. With this yearning, we can affect the subconscious mind through autosuggestion . The subconscious mind reinforces our faith and confidence. It plants a seed. In time, it germinates, and a plan arises. What follows is action without a doubt. The method fully exploits the subconscious mind. It becomes a "middleman" that transforms desires into tangible effects. Through this process, you will realize that just thinking in the right way can make you rich. Overview | Chapter 1Hi, welcome to Bookey. Today we will unlock the book Think and Grow Rich. One day, in the early years of the 20th century, in Orange, New Jersey, United States, a visitor came into Thomas A. Edison's office. The guest looked a bit like a homeless person being worn out after a long and arduous journey. He introduced himself as Edwin C. Barnes. He expressed his long-standing wish to be Edison's business partner. Edison later recalled that something on Barnes' face conveyed determination. He was someone who would not give up until he achieved his goal. From his previous experience of dealing with people, Edison had learned that when someone's desire was so forceful that they would stake their entire future on their success—they were bound to succeed. Edison allowed Barnes to stay, but only as a peon and not as a business partner. Nevertheless, Barnes didn't reckon that his work was unskilled; instead, he held himself to lofty standards. And a few years later, he finally got his wish. He became Edison's true business partner and found himself working in the same room he had blundered into when he first met Edison. This is the story at the start of Think and Grow Rich. The anecdote tells us that a person's success is a function of their desire. The more intense their desire, the surer their success. How strong was Barnes' passion for success? When he was determined to become Edison's business partner, he didn't know this famous scientist, nor did he have the money to travel to the city where he was working. Facing these two difficulties, most people might have already given up their plans. But not Barnes. His desire was so strong that he climbed on a freight train to reach the destination and finally stood before Edison. When you build up determination, you can overcome any seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Think and Grow Rich is a book about effective thinking. It could be described as a book about the passion for success. In the title, the word "rich" has multiple connotations. Beyond wealth and financial success, these riches also include spiritual, mental, and bodily estates. Since it was first published in 1937, the book has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide and has influenced the paths of countless lives. The book's author, Napoleon Hill, was a pioneering motivational expert seeking to identify the principles of success. As the work's first edition has now become dated, it was edited and revised in 2004 by Arthur R. Pell, who has a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He replaced some outdated stories and anecdotes with more contemporary examples. The book, in its updated version, is now widely available and remains enduringly popular. As Hill tells it, the 'Steel...

Welcome to this episode of Physician's Weekly podcast. I am your host, Dr. Rachel Giles, from Medicom Medical Publishers, in collaboration with Physician's Weekly. The phrase "prevention is better than a cure" is often attributed to the Dutch philosopher Erasmus around 1500 AD. But in the US, most people are more familiar with Benjamin Franklin telling Philadelphians in 1736 that “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” One hundred years later, Thomas A. Edison said “The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease". For the last 50 years, preventative medicine has been gaining tremendous ground, and we are steadily learning more using clinical research.Today's episode features two interviews with an inDEPTH look at prevention. Professor John Mathers from Newcastle University, UK, discusses just-published data from the groundbreaking CAPP2 study that puts an interesting twist on how aspirin could prevent colorectal cancer. Also, Dr. Nanette Wenger, clinical cardiologist and professor emerita at Emory University School of Medicine has “buckets of research” to share on cardiovascular disease prevention in women, beyond the more than 1,300 scientific papers she's had published. The inspiration for the bestselling self-help book, 'The Secret'. Napoleon Hill started it all. From the Author's Preface: "Long before I was born, the secret had found its way into the possession of Thomas A. Edison, and he used it so intelligently that he became the world's leading inventor, although he had but three months of schooling. The secret was passed on to a business associate of Mr. Edison. He used it so effectively that, although he was then making only $12,000 a year, he accumulated a great fortune, and retired from active business while still a young man. You will find his story at the beginning of the first chapter. It should convince you that riches are not beyond your reach, that you can still be what you wish to be, that money, fame, recognition and happiness can be had by all who are ready and determined to have these blessings. How do I know these things? You should have the answer before you finish this book. You may find it in the very first chapter, or on the last page." One of the most common topics we get asked about is how to cultivate confidence. We all want to feel good in our own skin and know that we hold power and meaning in this world. In this week's episode, Barb and Michelle discuss their own journeys to feeling confident, how to “fake it til you make it” and things to remember in the journey to knowing that you're perfect exactly as you are. Follow us @MichelleMaros and @Peaceful_Barb and share your experiences with us @BarbKnowsBestPod or at https://kite.link/barb-knows-best Key Points: ● Confidence is knowing you are enough. ● Write down the things you love about yourself and what you are good at. Be grateful for those things. ● The best antidote to self-doubt is taking that one tiny step, because it will move you that little inch forward. ● As promised here the quote that Barb couldn't quite place…“I never view mistakes as failures. They are simply opportunities to find out what doesn't work.” – Thomas A. Edison ● Visualization as a tool to help you achieve the goals you want from how you want to act or react or goals you want. Resources Mentioned in Today's Podcast: ● Self-Esteem Book – Joe Rubino ● @hellotefi

Thomas A. Edison once said, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” I couldn't agree more, and in gardening, failure is the greatest teacher, if you take the time to reflect, think about what went wrong, and come up with some new ideas for next year. In this video I …

Yes, this podcast is specifically aimed at creative people and film pros but every one of us will still have real-life tasks and responsibilities which I'm sure you know all too well if we do not stay on top of, will damage our creative and work lives and slow down our productivity. “If we all did the things we are really capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.” ~ Thomas A. Edison I'm in the mood to astound myself!! How about you? Are you a ‘Possibility Thinker'? If you are asking what IS a possibility thinker, I'd love to share. A possibility thinker is someone who believes the impossible is possible. They walk by faith and not by sight. They creatively ask themselves, how may I make this happen - make the impossible possible! ‘When I'm inspired, I get excited because I can't wait to see what I'll come up with next.' ~ Dolly Parton Join our Tuck Talk Podcast this week for a lively and informative conversation on being a ‘Possibility Thinker'. Let's see what we come up with next! Here's a simple ‘possibility thinker' formula to get you started and for you to ponder: (1) CLEAR INTENTION: Choose a new, exciting and inspiring thought, idea, belief about you, your life, love or work. Be clear in your intention. (2) ELEVATED EMOTION: Be clear that this thought, idea and belief inspires you to the max with passion and enthusiasm. (3) PRACTICE FOR 21 DAYS: Map this idea, belief and future in your mind, body and soul. What you think about you bring about. (4) BE PATIENT WITH FRUITION: Know that the Universe is working behind the scenes to orchestrate the outcome of your intention. Be patient….. I'm off to astound myself... coming with me?!? Hey DJ's we are going to dive into how to look at failure in life as nothing more than a learning process of finding ways that don't work. See if you look at failure as just a stepping stone to success you will keep pushing long after others are done trying and have given up.
Quote "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." --Thomas A. Edison Today's podcast is going to dive into finding that failing is part of the process and it is a process of just finding ways that won't work. Failure is not really a bad thing it is part of the process to find success. Listen today and think about areas of your life that you are considering it failure and have stopped going for that goal and change your belief to the thought that it is just a process of finding what won't work to someday get to what does work!

Introduction to 'Think And Grow Rich' with a story of the man who thought his way into partnership with Thomas A. Edison.
According to many Rishonim , on Chanukah when we light our personal Menorah , we are considered like the Kohen Gadol lighting the Menorah in the Bet HaMikdash . It is a tremendous עת רצון – it is a time to pray and thank Hashem. Chanukah is such a beloved holiday, we add ten new berachot each day – six on the reading of the Torah, two on the Hallel , and two when we light the menorah. It is a time of intense kedusha and availability to grow to the greatest heights. This entire holiday was produced at a time when the Jewish People were on one of their lowest spiritual levels in history. Many of them lost their religion entirely, due to the decrees that were made against them. A group of people courageously arose and took on the entire Greek army. They believed in themselves despite the sorrowful situation that they were surrounded by. From that inspiration, they have given us the most beloved holiday that has lit up the generations all the way until Mashiach. Many times, people feel down about themselves, about their lives, and they begin to despair, whether it is in growth in religion or in their physical lives. They need to pick themselves up and answer the call of מי לה' אלי-whoever is for God, come with me . Hashem invested so much potential in every single person, and if they would tap into it properly, they would accomplish the unimaginable. Rav Tzadok HaCohen wrote in his sefer Tzidkat HaTzaddik , just like a person has to believe in Hashem, he has to believe in himself. What kind of belief? That Hashem takes delight in him. That Hashem gave him the exact tools that he needs to fulfill his purpose here. And if he tries, he will be a success. Everybody can become so great. All they need is a little encouragement. The Torah compares a person to a tree. One explanation is based on the fact that a tree sheds its leaves as the winter approaches. The reason for that is because it doesn’t get the warmth and light that it needs to produce. When the spring comes around and the weather gets warmer and the sun shines for more hours, then the tree once again produces. Every person needs warmth and light. How do we give it? By complimenting them, by giving them words of encouragement, telling them how special they are, how they are the only ones in the entire world that can perform the mission Hashem sent them here for. If those people who lost their religion during the decrees of Antiochus would have known that they had within themselves to produce a Jewish Holiday and to be remembered forever in the highest esteem, they never would have left. We all have endless potential. We need to believe in it. We must never give up. Even at our lowest points, we can rise to the greatest of heights. We must believe in the abilities that Hashem has given us. The story is told, one day as a young child, Thomas Edison came home from school and handed a paper to his mother. He said to her, “My teacher gave this to me and said only you can read it. Please tell me what it says.” His mother looked at it and her eyes welled up with tears as she read, Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have good enough teachers to train him. Please teach him yourself. Many years later, after Edison’s mother passed away, he became one of the greatest inventors of the century. One day, he was going through a closet and he found that folded letter that his teacher wrote to his mother that day. He opened it up and it said, Your son is mentally deficient. We cannot let him attend our school anymore. He is expelled. Edison became emotional reading it and then wrote in his diary, "Thomas A. Edison was a mentally deficient child whose mother turned him into the genius of the century." The power of encouragement is amazing. If you know of a person who is down and out, feeling that his life has no meaning or feeling that everything he does fails, you can give that person life with the right words of chizuk .

The Future of Manufacturing with Game Changers, Presented by SAP
The buzz: “Machines will be capable in 20 years of doing any work a man can do” (1965, Dr. Herbert Simon). The manufacturing world is seeing innovation-driven trends and challenges across the Industrial Machinery and Components (IM&C) sector, with leading-edge companies already transforming their operations. The future will be defined by how quickly industry leaders address 3D-Printing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twins, and Hyper-Automation. The experts speak. Jeff Hojlo, IDC: “The difficulty is not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones” (Thomas A. Edison). Markus L. Rossmann, Capgemini: “Only the paranoid survive” (Andy Grove). Gary Nelson, SAP: “Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works. If it works big, others quickly copy it. Then you do something else. The trick is the doing something else” (Tom Peters). Join us for Manufacturers: Time for 3D Printing, AI, Digital Twins, Hyper-Automation.
From Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill ORGANIZED PLANNING THE CRYSTALLIZATION OF DESIRE INTO ACTION The Sixth Step toward Riches You have learned that everything man creates or acquires, begins in the form of DESIRE, that desire is taken on the first lap of its journey, from the abstract to the concrete, into the workshop of the IMAGINATION, where PLANS for its transition are created and organized. In Chapter two, you were instructed to take six definite, practical steps, as your first move in translating the desire for money into its monetary equivalent. One of these steps is the formation of a DEFINITE, practical plan, or plans, through which this transformation may be made. You will now be instructed how to build plans which will be practical, viz: (a) Ally yourself with a group of as many people as you may need for the creation, and carrying out of your plan, or plans for the accumulation of money--making use of the "Master Mind" principle described in a later chapter. (Compliance with this instruction is absolutely essential. Do not neglect it.) (b) Before forming your "Master Mind" alliance, decide what advantages, and benefits, you may offer the individual members of your group, in return for their cooperation. No one will p. 148 work indefinitely without some form of compensation. No intelligent person will either request or expect another to work without adequate compensation, although this may not always be in the form of money. (c) Arrange to meet with the members of your "Master Mind" group at least twice a week, and more often if possible, until you have jointly perfected the necessary plan, or plans for the accumulation of money. (d) Maintain PERFECT HARMONY between yourself and every member of your "Master Mind" group. If you fail to carry out this instruction to the letter, you may expect to meet with failure. The "Master Mind" principle cannot obtain where PERFECT HARMONY does not prevail. Keep in mind these facts:-- First. You are engaged in an undertaking of major importance to you. To be sure of success, you must have plans which are faultless. Second. You must have the advantage of the experience, education, native ability and imagination of other minds. This is in harmony with the methods followed by every person who has accumulated a great fortune. No individual has sufficient experience, education, native ability, and knowledge to insure the accumulation of a great fortune, without the cooperation of other people. Every plan you adopt, in your endeavor to accumulate wealth, should be the joint p. 149 creation of yourself and every other member of your "Master Mind" group. You may originate your own plans, either in whole or in part, but SEE THAT THOSE PLANS ARE CHECKED, AND APPROVED BY THE MEMBERS OF YOUR "MASTER MIND" ALLIANCE. If the first plan which you adopt does not work successfully, replace it with a new plan, if this new plan fails to work, replace it, in turn with still another, and so on, until you find a plan which DOES WORK. Right here is the point at which the majority of men meet with failure, because of their lack of PERSISTENCE in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail. The most intelligent man living cannot succeed in accumulating money--nor in any other undertaking--without plans which are practical and workable. Just keep this fact in mind, and remember when your plans fail, that temporary defeat is not permanent failure. It may only mean that your plans have not been sound. Build other plans. Start all over again. Thomas A. Edison "failed" ten thousand times before he perfected the incandescent electric light bulb. That is--he met with temporary defeat ten thousand times, before his efforts were crowned with success. Temporary defeat should mean only one thing, the certain knowledge that there is something wrong with your plan. Millions of men go through life in misery and poverty, because they lack a sound plan through which to accumulate a fortune. Henry Ford accumulated a fortune, not because p. 150 of his superior mind, but because he adopted and followed a PLAN which proved to be sound. A thousand men could be pointed out, each with a better education than Ford's, yet each of whom lives in poverty, because he does not possess the RIGHT plan for the accumulation of money. Your achievement can be no greater than your PLANS are sound. That may seem to be an axiomatic statement, but it is true. Samuel Insull lost his fortune of over one hundred million dollars. The Insull fortune was built on plans which were sound. The business depression forced Mr. Insull to CHANGE HIS PLANS; and the CHANGE brought "temporary defeat," because his new plans were NOT SOUND. Mr. Insull is now an old man, he may, consequently, accept "failure" instead of "temporary defeat," but if his experience turns out to be FAILURE, it will be for the reason that he lacks the fire of PERSISTENCE to rebuild his plans. No man is ever whipped, until he QUITS--in his own mind.
