Her Sixth Sense: What It's Like to See Spirits I recently found out that a relative also had a very interesting sixth sense: she can see dead people. Me and my immediate family found this out after my Grandfather passed away. It's such a cool experience to hear talk about her experiences. This is her first time talking about her gift to the public! She has some great advice if you do have these experiences, so stay tuned. It's definitely a spine-tingling, hair raising episode! I had so many goosebumps from all the incredible stories she told about her gift and the spirits she saw! Have you ever been on YouTube and you came across video's that changed your life around? Well, for this week's guest Jonathan Finn, he went from being a musician to become a healer using hypnosis and energy healer. It started off as curiosity, but it quickly grew into something more. He learned QHHT, a signature hypnosis from Dolores Cannon's legacy, then studied clinical hypnosis, and 13th Octave LaHoChi energy healing. I met Jonathan through a subreddit for energy work or energy healing when he was offering free 13th Octave LaHoChi energy work. It was amazing, my cat, Sabrina loved it, too. Please listen to learn more about Jonathan and get a feel of his beautiful energy. Jonthan Finn is based in County Galway, Ireland. He uses Clinical Hypnosis to assist people with a wide variety of common issues such as fears and phobias, quitting smoking, anxieties and letting go of unwanted habits. In his work with Spiritual Hypnosis, he guides people to connect with their Higher Self and it's vast knowledge and wisdom, as well as journeying through their soul's past experiences and incarnations to receive answers, clarity and healing. He facilitates these powerful, and often transformational experiences as a Practitioner of "Past Life Regression" and a Level 2 Practitioner of the late Dolores Cannon's “Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique”; or QHHT. He is also a Practitioner of 13th Octave LaHoChi; a powerful, yet gentle form of Energy Healing, which facilitates the release of old cellular memory and blockages as well as anchoring high-frequency healing light and energy into the physical and energetic bodies. He loves all aspects of his work with others and facilitates his Hypnosis and Energy Healing sessions online with clients all around the world. S3E4 Ask the Akashic Record Series part 3 This week is the 3rd part of the Ask the Akashic Records Series! Here are the 3 questions that listeners sent in: What is my relationship with death? What is my current relationship to materialism? Do I have any specific chakras that tend to become blocked?/Are any of my chakras currently blocked? How can I embrace being human more fully? Those of you that submitted these questions, thank you so much!!!! I think there are some great gems here! If you have questions to ask the Akashic Records, please email them to me info@ojaireiki.com and I will use those questions as part of the episode! You will be anonymous. Here are a few things to know when asking questions from the Founders of the Akashic Records: This is a group reading, so I will not be opening your records, however, the answer will still pertain to you as we are asking the Founders, so the perspective will be different but nonetheless relevant to you and your soul's growth. You can only ask questions pertaining to you—and not ask about what is going on with the soul of your lover, family member, spouse, best friend or enemy or animal companion(s). This is out of integrity for me, and they did not consent to you accessing their soul. You can ask questions about general things: what is happening with humanity right now, etc. I do not filter the answers to make it more comfortable for you to hear, it is verbatim from the records. I will usually say this during the episode: either I do the reading beforehand and write the answers down and read from my notebook as I record. Or, I open the records and do the reading while recording. When I do the reading before I record, the answers are written verbatim. I appreciate hearing from you, so please let me know if you have a topic you would like for me to talk about, someone to interview and/or have a question you would like to ask the Akashic Records. Welcome back! This week, I took a little break from the Ask the Akashic Record Series to talk about how to trust your intuition as a healer. Your intuition is the best guide to facilitate because it requires you to trust yourself and be present to what is happening in the moment. It may not make sense what comes to you, but it could be the key for your client to unpack something they have been holding on to. Whether you are a healer or not, you can still benefit from trusting your intuition. It's a muscle to build and it takes practice, plus, having a friend or mentor encourage you also is a big help. I hope this episode inspires you to stop doubting yourself and trust your intuition. So what is Reiki anyway, Sharmila? Well, I am so glad you asked because that's what this week's episode is about! I give many examples of how we experience energy in our everyday lives and we apply that to healing. I also give a what a Reiki micro-session, so you know what Reiki feels like. It's near the end of the episode. Hopefully, you will understand Reiki healing and energy healing more and if you would like to experience a session, you can book an appointment: https://www.ojaireiki.com/scheduleyoursession Shownotes: -I started my Reiki journey for my own personal self-healing. -What is Reiki? -A Japanese type of healing either hands-on or done remotely. -Can be done across time, distance; you don't have to be physically touching someone. -We are all energy beings. -What does this expression mean: I don't have the energy or I have so much energy right now. -Reiki/energy healing is a meditative state that facilitates healing with intention. -Practitioner channels infinite energy to another person, using their Divine Guides. -In last week's episode, “how to stop absorbing other people's energy” I mentioned that you don't need to fix; or use all of your energy, you can get help from your guides. -Some energy healers have a mentality that they need to fix the person because that's what healing is. -You can't fix this person, you can help alleviate a sense of relief. -Example of feeling drained of energy is child-rearing, so you can prevent physical exhaustion. -Reiki helps clear, ground, relieving some kind of stress in your life. -Does this make sense, if it is or isn't let me know you can leave me a voice message on theconfidenthealer.net website. -There is an energy exchange with this podcast, you are drawn to me because something about me resonates with you. -Reiki, energy healing allows you to work outside the box, you use all of your senses and more even when you are receiving. -Visualize how the energy works, it comes from your infinite source, and imagine the energy coming out of your crown, third eye, and or heart chakra, flowing down and out of your hands. -To help you understand what energy/Reiki is, you can give a texture to the energy to help you connect with it more, maybe it's like water or light. -Another example of energetic interaction to help you understand, is walking into a room and you know whether or not you want to be there, there is something you are feeling that makes you not want to be there. That's an energy that you do interact with on a daily without realizing it. -That's where you follow your intuition and leave. -Some people have fear about Reiki or energy healing because they don't want someone messing with their energy. -Most healing practitioners aren't nefarious, they are very altruistic and want to help people because it's their calling. -Of course, there are people scamming others, but they are easy to spot if you are discerning enough. -My Reiki experiences after the 1st level were exciting because I felt like King Midas, I felt like I had a golden, healing touch. -Reiki changed my life in so many great ways and brought a deeper healing experience so that I could be more self-reliant. -I would practice before going to work, after waking up, I would practice Reiki on myself. -Reiki can validate you, like if you have psychic abilities that you shut off since you were a kid. -A little history of Reiki, started by a Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui. -Downloaded a healing system after meditating for 21 days. -Reiki is different from other energy healing systems because a Reiki Master Teacher initiates or attunes the student to Reiki. -Energy healing teaches you how to connect with energy, using meridians, and visualizations, but there is no attunement process like in the Reiki system. -Either way, they are both effective. -The way I teach, are the traditional Usui Reiki attunements and Reiki hand positions, plus teaching energy healing techniques, and helping you find your own intuitive healing gifts. -Practice is key to growing your healing abilities and growing your intuition. -Practice Reiki, tapping into that universal energy flow -I transmit Reiki through the episode so that you can experience it. What are your best practices on how to stop absorbing other people's energy? Or are you trying to figure out that one yourself? This week, I walk you through 8-9 techniques that I use as part of my energy hygiene practices and setting boundaries. This is really needed if you practice energy/Reiki healing, psychology, or in any healing art (including medical doctors). This is great for empaths, and Highly Sensitive People (HSP). Implement some of these techniques, and you will feel so much lighter, the heaviness will dissipate and you will feel so much more expansive and comfortable in your own skin. This is a module I have taught in my past Reiki workshops and in my new 9 month Confident Healer Training Certification that starts in May. Shownotes: -We are energy beings, we are emotional beings. -We are all empathic, we all have different levels of how much energy we take from others. -Why it's important to have clean our energy and have boundaries. -This is something Sharmila teaches in her 9 month Confident Healer Training certification which starts in May. -Especially for empathic healers, energy healers, it's very important to establish boundaries and know how to clear your energy, and how to stop absorbing other people's stuff. -Imagine energy like shit, people emanate their shittiness by smearing it on the wall, and you walk in and you see and smell the shit. -That's how our aura works, and that's how it affects us, the stench of their shit affects you. -You can learn how to not absorb someone's energy. -Give the conversation a time limit when you don't want to spend too much time with the person. -Tip #1 ground yourself when you talk to this person. Hang up on them, and then call them back once you ground yourself. -Tip #2 do the 3 layers of protection from Fairy godmother Georgie Weston. -Tip #3: 1st layer of protection is a few inches or many feet in front of you, imagine something hard, like Teflon. -2nd layer of protection. Make this layer another few inches or feet from the first layer, again, imaging a hard, protective layer, i.e. Teflon. -Imagine these layers like a cylinder around your body, this is your where your aura is. -3rd layer is another few inches or more surrounding the 2nd layer, and you imagine a puffy, pink cloud of unconditional love. -Tip #4 to cleanse your aura rake your area, spread your fingers like a rake, or imagine a rake and extend your arms and hands as far as you can and rake in front of you from top to bottom, your sides, and the back of your body. -Make sure you shake your hands with that energetic debris and shake off the energy with the intention of sending it to the earth to recycle. -Tip 5 being aware of any beliefs you have about helping someone, that you must take their pain away and you hold on to it, not realizing it. -Not being aware of your philosophy about taking on other people's pain leads to burn-out, fatigue, and not wanting to do healing work anymore. -Tip #6: go to an energy healer to help clear your aura on a regular basis -Tip#7 Call in your divine guides, goddess, whatever deity you resonate it you call them in to hold space for you, you can do this per hour, or for the day, etc. -For agnostics and atheists, you can imagine a comfy chair for your people to sit in and lean on the arm of the chair instead of leaning on you. -You will still hold space for people, you can't help it, but asking a divine entity to hold space for you, will relieve a lot of energy and you can keep 95% of your own energy, you don't need to drain yourself anymore. -Calling in your Divine Guides, is like a prayer, you get into meditation and ask them to hold space. -Tip 8 take a salt bath, or salt scrub, or if you can get to the beach and get into the water by wading or taking a dip in the ocean. Salt cleanses the aura. -Practice these techniques for good energy hygiene and watch how much happier you feel by doing it. -Sharmila teaches these techniques in her 9-month Confident Healing training certification starting in May, grab the application on www.ojaireiki.com, and for more information contact info@ojaireiki.com -She is starting 2/month Reiki Soundbath, starting April 15, it will be 2nd and last Friday of each month, www.ojaireiki.com for more information -Grab your free Energy Hygiene checklist until the end of May 2022 from https://www.ojaireiki.com/theconfidenthealerpodcast Mentioned in the episode: Here is the application link for the Confident Healer Training Certification https://forms.gle/qHAXxuxW6geUCK4S9 Reiki Soundbath, starting April 15, it will be 2nd and last Friday of each month, www.ojaireiki.com for more information. This week, we have a serene and gorgeous soul, Yolanda Williams, Self-Mastery Mentor, certified Reiki Master, and host of the Reiki Radio podcast. Like many people, Yolanda found Reiki because she was seeking a way to alleviate her stress and anxiety from transitioning out of the financial corporate sector. Her natural confidence, a great sense of self-worth, and self-esteem didn't waver too much as her Reiki practice organically began to form as she joyfully practiced on family and friends. She started the Reiki Radio podcast, (now it's in its ninth year), to discuss her experiences with Reiki in hopes to help other Reiki practitioners because she couldn't find enough information about what happens after you take a Reiki class and start to practice on yourself and others. She also interviews other spiritual healers about their work and self-improvement. Check out her new deck coming soon, The Energetic Alchemist oracle deck a blend of Tarot and oracle with beautiful original art. You can purchase those on her website, www.energeticalchemist.com Show Notes: -Introduction to the guest, Yolanda Williams, Self-Mastery Mentor, certified Reiki Master, and host of Reiki Radio podcast. -Discussion of Yolanda podcasting for 9 years, why she started, and how it's grown -Yolanda started podcasting because she wanted to create a community to discuss how Reiki works and to answer questions. -Are clients different now during the pandemic, and coming out of it discussion -Yolanda notices clients are hungry to self-soothe, self-heal to navigate the enormous changes -prior to the pandemic people came to her to heal others, to start their own Reiki practice. -Most clients come to her to learn Reiki to focus on their own well-being and self-care. -Yolanda's tools to get through lockdown were to be with her family, she became bi-coastal after family and friends passed away that lived in the East coast. -Yolanda's Alchemy Circle, a community for Reiki practitioners to offer support, and guided meditations was borne from being in the pandemic lockdown. -Serendipity played a big part for Yolanda after being laid off from the corporate sector -She started to feel very stressed and anxious, and an astrologer recommended she take a meditation class and get Reiki sessions. -She started to take Reiki classes and started to practice on friends and family, and organically, her friends started to refer people to her. -She was detached from the results so she didn't feel any pressure, and didn't feel the need to convince people about Reiki. -Yolanda was sharing from her direct experience, she thought Reiki was amazing, and other people thought Reiki was amazing, too. -As her Reiki practice grew into a more formal practice, she made sure to NOT put pressure on herself. -She went through her own dark night of the soul in the beginning of her practice. -She would work on people, and she was also going through her “ick” and she started to feel resentful. -Realized she was holding space for others and realized her self-healing practice wasn't enough, she needed someone to hold space for her. -Her goal was never to be a healer, and she still doesn't put that pressure on herself or label herself a healer. -She studied with different 8 Reiki teachers, to get different perspectives, and spent a lot of money on Reiki classes, and retreats. -Realized that many people in the healing communities struggle with charging money for their work. -She came from a corporate background and understood that your time is valuable, you invested a lot of time and money to develop your healing abilities, why wouldn't you charge for that exchange. -How long did it take from taking her first Reiki classes to formally charge money for Reiki? -Understands that in the spiritual community people struggle to take money in exchange for providing services. -She instills to her listeners and Reiki students to honor their time, their training, the financial investment they made to hone their craft. -It's all mindset, if it's valuable to you, act like it, how long are you going to hold on to that story of not charging money in exchange for providing healing services. -Yolanda stated that she invested in building a website, making the podcast, and newsletters. -If she is investing that, she needs to have an exchange of monies in order to continue sharing her love of Reiki. -Sharmila explains her view of self-worth and self-esteem in terms of an economic chart, there is a baseline, anything below, to her, is the poverty level--very little to no sense of self-worth or self-esteem, anything above the baseline is good to a high sense of self-esteem and self-worth. -Yolanda answers that she did have a healthy sense of self-esteem and self-worth and that it's true that low self-worth and self-esteem attributes to struggles with money with spiritual services. -Yolanda talks about how people have a certain idea of what you are expected to earn money for and paying for, it's okay to earn money at a corporate job, for instance. -She says more people are becoming spiritual entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs in general in the past few years. -And if you are working, you are showing up then you can expect to charge for the services that you are offering. In this week's episode, I did an Akashic Record reading. And boy, did it ever apply to my life right now. I asked my friends to give me questions that they wanted to ask the Akashic Records. My friends gave me a nice list of questions that I will go through in my new series, Ask The Akashic Records. The questions for this episode have a theme of how to the stress of the environmental crisis, and how to deal with our unconscious behaviors in terms of causing harm to others. The answers were quite surprising! Show Notes: -I explained that I asked whose record do I open for the human collective, and my records told me to open the Akashic Records of the “people listening to this podcast” -Invited the audience to send me questions they would like to ask the Akashic Records, or a topic they would like for me to cover, a guest they would like me to interview or just reach out -Asked the Akashic Records how can we practically minimize the impact of our own unconsciousness on others? -They answered: by being in the present moment -they also suggested that using self-reflective exercises like meditation, prayer, journaling, being nature were all ways to stay in the Now, the present moment Let me know if you want to ask a question for the Akashic Records, or have a topic you would like for me to cover regarding healing. How to stop the inner critic This week I was inspired by a client who wished a movie I recommended to her (Violet amazon Prime) would have shown how to get out of the cycle of the inner critic. You know that evil voice inside your head that is always criticizing you. The inner perfectionist that will let you know that you are never good enough. The inner critic, is also referred to as negative self-talk, negative voice, and also beating yourself up. If you have one or know of someone that does, please listen to this episode. And learn how to stop the inner critic, it can be done because I overcame it. There a many ways to get out of the cycle of the inner critic, the negative self-talk, beating yourself up. In this episode, I talk about 3 ways to stop the inner critic. I also talk about my own struggles with my inner critic and the list I discuss is what helped me silence that inner critic. I feel so free and less heavy because I stopped criticising myself. It's important to say good things about yourself, instead of saying shitty, terrible things. Let me know if this episode helped you, I would love to hear from you! This week, I welcome back my guest from a few episodes ago, (S2E4) Jonita D'souza to discuss how South Asians teach people that the most natural event that happens to a person is a time of impurity: menstruation. . If you are squeamish about this topic, I suggest to lean in because you know someone that menstruates no matter who you are, and since more than half the population bleeds every month for 5-8 days, understanding how old-world cultures view menstruation might give you more appreciation and how resilient menstruaters are. The stigmas in my Nepali culture about menstruation in my opinion are archaic and steeped in some patriarchal bull shit. Plain and simple. Please tell me how, if you believe that god created you, then god also created you to bleed every month, but during that time, god says you are dirty, impure? Naw, dude. God didn't say that. Who made that rule up? So if a menstruater believes in god, and that during that time you are impure, dirty, you are not allowed to perform your aarti? Or like Jonita who grew up Christian, she along with other menstruaters are not allowed to take holy communion. Or a Muslim menstruater in India, that you aren't allowed to pray (she mentions that in the episode)? Yeah, it boggles my mind that people still carry on these traditions, but maybe, just maybe we can evolve, and people can stop putting their young girls and women all alone in period huts in rural areas of Nepal where danger and death can befall them. https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/menstruation-huts-destroyed-nepal-exile-persists-68346515 We discussed our experience of our respective South Asian families and South Asian society's rules we had to abide by when we were on our period. Jonita offers some of her teachings on how to reclaim and be empowered while on your period. It was a fascinating and eye-opening conversation for me, because I feel disempowered and drained when on my period. Topics discussed: - Sharmila talks about her experience growing up Hindu in America and being on her period - Jonita also talks about growing up in India as a Christian menstruating woman, witnessing her Hindu and Muslim friends traditions around their periods - Conflicting message equating menstruating to being dirty - Jonita found reverence with her period through Ayurveda - Jonita discovered that in ancient India women were honored when they were on their period -Jonita also talks about how in other cultures, thousands of years ago there is evidence in other cultures about the reverence for women and their menses. -Jonita talks about changing your perspective starting with being okay with your blood -Self-care during your period with nutrition, meditation, etc -Advanced practices for using your menstrual blood About the guest, Jonita D'souza Jonita D'souza is a Feminine Lifestylist, an Author and Creatress of Exploring Femininity Ltd., assisting modern-day busy women who struggle with burn-out, overwhelm and body love to reconnect with their feminine and sensual energy using the ancient Taoist and Tantric arts, so that they can create a lifestyle that is fulfilling, nurturing and pleasurable. TRIGGER WARNING: Discussion of emotional abuse. Life is funny, you just never know what you will uncover about yourself and other people. It was a beautiful sunny day, and I was giving Akashic Record readings at Starborn's Psychic Faire. I checked my email during a break in between clients and lo and behold a strange email from an even stranger phone number. Turns out, it was from an ex. I have not discussed this past relationship on the podcast because the trauma from that relationship doesn't show up in my day-to-day and I am so far removed from that previous relationship. But what I realized after my self-Akashic Reading, was the trauma does come up when I watch that ex walk around the back of my building, confidently calling for my cats. This is why I never told him to leave on numerous occasions when I saw him through my kitchen window. The sub-text is, it's not really about the cats. Also, it's about boundaries. I decided to open the Akashic Records of Ancient Mother on a whim to ponder if I was being jaded after reading the note. I ended up receiving a beautiful healing from Ancient Mother and I uncovered that I was still traumatized from that emotionally abusive relationship. I also discovered I experience auditory premonitions from this experience, which is a bonus! Despite the topic, my energy is balanced and grounded, with just enough humor, a little bit of anger, and a lot of self-compassion. If you are suffering from any type of abuse from a parent, friend or partner, please visit: www.thehotline.org/get-help/domestic-violence-local-resources. Thanks for listening. Topics discussed: -An ex sent me a text via email and I checked my email while I was in between clients at the Psychic Faire at Starborn Wellness and Healing -Earlier that day while at home I thought I heard the ex make the whistling sound that he used to use when he would try to find Kashmir -We used to live together in the home I currently live in -I discuss the nature of the verbal and emotional abuse -Since our break-up, he has trespassed numerous times whenever he is in the area to visit “his” cats -I talk about why I never told him to leave when I saw him lurking around my building -When I read the note he sent, it just seemed disingenuous -I decided to access Ancient Mother's Akashic Record -I didn't realize until the reading that I was traumatized from the emotional abuse and that's why I didn't want to talk to him -I received healing from the reading by asking a particular question -So many layers of releasing and healing the trauma from an emotionally abusive relationship Resources mentioned: www.thehotline.org/get-help/domestic-violence-local-resources Psychic Faire at Starborn Healing Wellness and Dance Center starbornhealing.com, IG: @starbornwellness FB: @starbornwellness Claire Blanc, Channel, Intuitive healing, Mediumship, Space Clearing IG: @Claire_blanc_art About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali, in case you didn't know, is a Self-Love Expert, intuitive healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Akashic Records Reader (in addition to being a podcaster) and for the past 15 years or so, most of her clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. In this episode, I answer questions that my friends and brother wanted to know about the Akashic Records. I did the reading the day before I made the episode. The way I read my own Akashic Records is by writing it by hand or on a laptop. I don't get information any other way. So I am reading the transcripts from the Akashic reading I gave myself the day before recording this episode. However, when I do a reading for a client, I get information right away by hearing, feeling, being shown scenes, or words flashing before my eyes. I don't need a pen and paper, or a laptop. I am a conscious channel for the Akashic Records, I keep my eyes open, and I am fully grounded and aware of what is happening, as opposed to closing my eyes to focus. This is how I was taught to read the Akashic Records. Topics discussed: -My process for reading the Akashic Records -I learned how to do Akashic Readings for myself and for others from Cheryl Marlene -Explaining how I did two different readings to ask questions to explain about the Akashic Records -Opened my records to ask what is an Akashic Record -My Akashic Record explains the human history of accessing information beyond the 5 senses -My Akashic Records explain that it is the name given to the oracle of your soul, that you are accessing the origin of your soul -My Akashic Records explain how language limits but they do the best they can to conceptualize -I open the Founders of the Akashic Records -I got the inspiration to open the Founders of the Akashic Records from my level 3 class with Cheryl Marlene -Who/What are you is the question I asked The Founders of the Akashic Record -They explain they are the energy, the consciousness of earth and its inhabitants -They go into a lot more paradoxes -I explain that when I did this reading the day before I was very overwhelmed by their answer and couldn't comprehend -What is beyond universal consciousness is what I asked the Founders and they answered in a very esoteric way that goes beyond my concept of universal consciousness -They tell me to move forward with the questions because I was trying to wrap my head around that concept -What is an Akashic Record I asked the Founders, the term “akashic record” is human language to help you grasp the concept and give it context -When you get a reading, you are accessing it from who you are in that moment, it's a dynamic, evolving just like a human -They explain how it can differ from a card reading or other types of psychic readings based on where the non-Akashic Record reader is accessing the information -This is due to where the reader is accessing the information from and they distinguish from a higher self to your soul's point of origin -Also these distinctions matter to people, because this is how humans process information -They describe the type of reading that can happen during an Akashic Reading -What is the purpose of an Akashic Reading? The Founders answer in logical ways and more personal to a recipient of an Akashic Reading -They talk about how I was taught to give a reading and let me describe how my fears can come up when doing a reading for another person -I gave an example of how I was doing a reading and I was afraid of telling the person the answer because of the nature of the question -The person's Akashic Record gave me a surprising answer -How can the info be used for transformation? The Founders respond that it's infinite and give some examples. They also say that a reading is always transformational. -Do the guides ever decide if they can give you an answer? The Founders give a surprising answer -How do you choose an Akashic Reader? The Founders answer any way that makes you feel comfortable and give other examples of how random humans can be with their logic. -The Founders have a great sense of humor -How can you prepare? Is it advisable to? The Founders respond that to be present and do what makes you feel comfortable to prepare and give examples, basically, there is no wrong or right way -Is it better to be free of recreational substances and meds that make you drowsy/numb, they suggest that if you cannot be present then to not take those substances or wait until it wears off. -I talk about how Cheryl in her guidelines for readers and clients, to be free of substances for 24 hours, so if you took some sort of recreational substance the night before, don't do a reading and don't get one. -I talk about why I think that guideline is there -Reading ends and I close out the episode Resources mentioned: Sharmila highly recommends Cheryl Marlene for a reading, and to learn how to open the Akashic Records. www.cherylmarlene.com About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali, in case you didn't know, is a Self-Love Expert, intuitive healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Akashic Records Reader (in addition to being a podcaster) and for the past 15 years or so, most of her clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. Remember how 2020 started--new year, new hope? For this week's guest, Jonita D'souza, it was filled with adventure. She and her husband sold their belongings, gave up their flat in England and started their travels. Jonita sensed change was in the air, and followed that intuitive hit. Little did she know that the rona was also in the air. They got stuck in their first destination, India when the world started going into lockdown. Luckily, she was in a familiar setting with her husband, in her hometown in India. She kept her business going while making a new home in her childhood home. Her take on self-trust and self-confidence gave me something to really think about. For Jonita, it was a drain of her lifeforce to build self-confidence, so she worked on building self-trust. She also talks about tapping into your womb space to fill yourself with energy and creativity. This was such a beautiful and much-needed convo right now…take a listen! Jonita D'souza is a Feminine Lifestylist, an Author and Creatress of Exploring Femininity Ltd., assisting modern-day busy women who struggle with burn-out, overwhelm, and body love to reconnect with their feminine and sensual energy using the ancient Taoist and Tantric arts so that they can create a lifestyle that is fulfilling, nurturing and pleasurable. She is also a certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, Master Hypnotherapist and combines the teachings of Indian feminine mysticism and shamanism in her work, facilitating monthly moon circles, online workshops, and sacred feminine retreats. Topics discussed: -Pandemic pivots while she has been stuck in India -Uncovering and realizing there is more to heal while she has been living in her old hometown -The two main techniques she has used to get her through the pandemic and the huge transition she is still experiencing -How she says people confuse confidence and self-trust -Learning how to use her own energy, needing rest which helps her be more creative -How she learned how to tap into her womb to build self-trust -How she doesn't always feel confident when leading a course or retreat -How she trusts herself and feels more in the flow -How she doesn't mind making mistakes because it's part of the process -The importance for women to get in touch with their womb space to heal past traumas -How healing those past traumas lead to more love, creativity, freedom and a more natural way of being -How a healthy balance of masculine and feminine energy contributes to a woman's life force -Advice to learn to tune into your womb to find self-trust and self-love -Offers a free 7-day course: https://mailchi.mp/exploringfemininity/sensualize-your-womb Guest Contact: Jonita D'souza: jonitadsouza.com FB: @exploringfemininity www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UoCyuUA5J8hWcLGc2yUow About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali, in case you didn't know, is a Self-Love Expert, intuitive healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Akashic Records Reader (in addition to being a podcaster) and for the past 15 years or so, most of her clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. LC Collins said her Tarot Reader journey all started when walked into a metaphysical store for the first time when the Rider-Waite tarot deck called out to her. The love affair began. After college, she started her professional journey as a Tarot reader and has been reading ever since (over 25 years). I found her confidence solid and grounded just like her and we talk about very practical ways of developing your talents and confidence when reading the cards. We also talk about her interesting childhood where she grew up in a very intellectual household with very open parents: her Mom was the family Medium, regularly helping their deceased family members and her Dad would train LC to move objects with her mind. Just your typical American fam. She calls it Psychic Tarot because the cards are a way for her to tap into her intuition to receive information about her dear clients. And she has developed a level of accuracy based on some of the stories she talks about in our conversation. Topics discussed: -LC's background with Tarot -LC's interesting childhood of ghosts and psychometry -LC's relationship with the Tarot cards -Trusting what the cards give you -What she means by being a “psychic” tarot reader -Dealing with confidence and self-doubt when learning how to read the cards -Being a pure channel and not filtering herself when it comes to Tarot reading -Boundaries when working with clients -Parting words of wisdom for budding Tarot readers and for healers Contact the guest: LC Collins: VividLifeTarot.com IG:@VividLifeTarot About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali, is a Self-Love Expert, intuitive healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Akashic Records Reader (in addition to being a podcaster) and for the past 15 years or so, most of her clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. I had two interesting dreams about dead people, it's so rare, maybe the last time was after my grandmother in Nepal passed away in 1996. I had a dream about Anthony Bourdain and my grandmother, and I received a reading from a new friend and colleague from the psychic faire at Starborn Healing and Wellness. I then noticed synchronicity with a new soup I had to make and realized that Anthony Bourdain in my dream made me and my friend a vegetable puree/soup that he used to serve over polenta. Oh yeah, it's bizarre, and amazing at the same time because of what happened during my reading with Claire from the psychic faire. Plus, I share more messages from them from opening my Akashic Records and the Akashic Records of Anthony and my Grandma. It's just another day in the life of an intuitive healer! Topics discussed in this episode: -my dreams and having dead people visit me -Anthony Bourdain came to me in a dream -My Hajur-Ma (Grandmother) came to me in a dream the next night -I worked the Psychic Faire and did a trade with someone that is a channel and medium -Claire told me that they did visit me in my dream -Claire and I helped Anthony Bourdain -I gave myself an Akashic Record reading about both dreams with Anthony Bourdain and my Grandmother who is also deceased -I read the results of opening my Akashic Records about my Grandma and Bourdain -I read the messages from the Akashic Records of my Grandma and Bourdain Shout-outs: Claire Blanc, Channel, Intuitive healing, Mediumship, Space Clearing IG: @Claire_blanc_art Starborn Healing Wellness and Dance Center starbornhealing.com, IG: @starbornwellness FB: @starbornwellness About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali, in case you didn't know, is a Self-Love Expert, intuitive healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Akashic Records Reader (in addition to being a podcaster) and for the past 15 years or so, most of her clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. I am starting out strong with a solocast about how inadvertently making The Confident Healer Podcast, help build my confidence as a healer in biznaaas, WAAAT? Yeah, check out the episode and I will tell you all the dirty-dirty about what it was like to live inside my head, filled with insecurities about not being good enough. Can you relate? For years, I tried to find a life preserver, and while they worked for a while nothing ever stuck in regards to feeling like I was worth it. I didn't feel confident about myself in promoting my work and sometimes lacked confidence about my work as a healer, wondering if I was effective even though I my clients were experiencing breakthroughs. I would always just chalk it up to it being some kind of fluke and that I couldn't get those results the next time. How draining is that? It's debilitating and I would put myself through so much mental and emotional anguish beating myself up for not being confident enough and not being good enough. Topics discussed in this episode: -lacking confidence in business -low self-esteem and no sense of self-worth when it came to work -Keslie's KarmicSoul Reiki Level 1 class -Usui giving me a gift during one of the attunements for level 1 -How exercising the muscle of regular publishing on social media and email marketing helped build confidence (to my delight) -talking to other healers about how they built their confidence in business and “putting themselves out there” -going over the 3 steps that helped me have sustainable confidence About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali, in case you didn't know, is a Self-Love Expert, intuitive healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Akashic Records Reader (in addition to being a podcaster) and for the past 15 years or so, most of her clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. Here is another fun and insightful interview with my friend and my business coach I used to work with Alexi Aldine. I worked with her for 4 years to understand how to deal with my low self-worth when it came to business and putting myself out there to let people know about my work. It has been a journey (and still is!) and this is the main person that helped me love myself more and have more confidence and *have* self-worth. She is funny, compassionate, and a wonderful coach. She will be your best cheerleader, and I am so grateful to have met her. I had all the marketing tools (website, flyers) but I didn't believe in myself, and if you don't have that, you don't get very far in what you want to achieve. This is what Alexi teaches in her Dare to Be You Academy, a mix of getting through your blocks by taking bold steps in your business! We have a great conversation about Scientific Hand Analysis and how your level of confidence shows up in your hands. This is not to say all is lost, my friend, no, not all, it is just learning why and how you get stuck in certain areas of your life, and how to get unstuck. She had to look up the definition of confidence because it's not how she would describe herself, she was just “being herself” and doing things she set out to do. It never occurred to her that she was being confident, as she puts it, "I'm just being me." Somehow, we end up talking about my journey and struggles with being a healer in business, and we use my hands as a mini sample scientific hand analysis reading. We also talk about what is in her hands and where she gets stuck, all through the lens of Scientific Hand Analysis which is a modality she uses in her work. So, let's listen to what it is like to live life without doubt about yourself, and learn more about Hand Analysis with the great Alexi Aldine! Topics discussed in this episode: -What has the past been like for Alexi during the pandemic -Alexi talks about where she gets stuck and how she gets unstuck --Alexi mentions Scientific Hand Analysis --Her childhood as a Filipina immigrant --Her family thought children should be seen and not heard --She talks about her ambitions and didn't see that as being confident --She explains where her confidence comes from, that she is just being herself --Explains Scientific Hand Analysis --gives a mini hand analysis of Sharmila's hand --Sharmila and Alexi discuss some of where Sharmila can get stuck, which are written in her hands --It's all about self-acceptance, warts and all as they say --Alexi analyzes her own hand in-depth --Alexi talks about her free masterclass in May Resources Mentioned: www.askalexi.com where you can find out about her free masterclass in May. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Ahmaud_Arbery www.blacklivesmatter.com/survival-fund/ About the Guest: Alexi is a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), an Award-winning Speaker. She is certified in Theta Healing and Scientific Hand Analysis and has analyzed more than 2,200 hands. Alexi is the founder and creator of Dare2BU Academy where she supports intuitive empaths who want to live their Purpose and make a difference in the world to create their first online program. Alexi's signature approach includes uncovering your Life Purpose blueprint which is found in your fingerprints and lines in your hands. She says, “within 30 seconds of looking at your hands I can tell you why you're stuck and how to get you unstuck so you can share your gifts and get your business off the ground.” To find out how you can get your Life Purpose blueprint, go to www.askalexi.com Contact Guest: www.askalexi.com About the Hostess: Sharmila Mali is the host of The Confident Healer podcast and is a Self-Love Expert and Reiki Master Teacher that works with womyn who want to get over their ex. Hello!! We are back this week with an actual convo with someone else! YAAY! In today's episode, I bring back my 2nd guest that I had on the show last year, Deepa Pulipati, to talk about empowering South Asian women and strengthening their leadership skills in the workforce. Deepa brings up some interesting facts she discovered in her research about South Asian women in the US corporate world, things that reflect our South Asian upbringing in a patriarchal society. It's complicated, but she and I have a great talk about the corporate world and how we can be agents of change to create a more harmonious place at work where productivity, creativity, and self-compassion create a bottom line of job satisfaction, better leadership, and a better product. Plus, she gives two very simple exercises to create more balance between the inner critic we all have and developing the inner champion we need more of. We had such a great conversation and we are so excited about the South Asian Womyn's Leadership program! Topics discussed in this episode: -People tend to lump South Asian and SE Asian womyn together, but there are some unique differences between the 2 groups -Deepa and Sharmila are working together in the South Asian Womyn's Leadership Series, a bespoke 5-week program to provide South Asian (here on out S.A.) womyn with tools for advancement, build confidence, and learn how to share their stories amongst other important tools just to name a show -How do South Asian womyn advance in the workplace -Deepa observed her South Asian womyn clients and South Asian womyn associates that worked in felt like they didn't had a clear path to "get ahead" and a lack of representation of South Asian womyn mentors, or South Asian womyn in a leadership role -Deepa personally knows many South Asian womyn that are successful in South Asia and in America -There are very few studies and articles about South Asian womyn in the workplace in the United States --why is this? -A study showed that womyn are not confrontational nor do they take risks at work -American corporate culture needs to change. We need to think differently and revamp the corporate structure -Solutions offered for clients in the SA Womyn's Leadership series, create community, i.e. "your ideal day" exercise, taking inventory throughout your day, focusing on all the tasks you did -What 3 things do you appreciate about yourself exercise Resources mentioned: South Asian Womyn's Leadership series deepa@tulacoach.com for more info www.nytimes.com/2019/03/21/business/indra-nooyi-corner-office-pepsi.html Asian Amerian & Pacific Islanders stopaapihate.org About the guest: Deepa Pulipati is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Intuition, Motivation and a lost cell phone by Sharmila Mali Hello! I am back with another solocast and this week's I talk about using your intuition as motivation. Sometimes, you ask for a little help from your intuitive friends, and luckily for me, they delivered! It's important to be able to listen to your intuition and take action on it, it can be a motivating factor of encouraging you to keep moving forward. And when you ask your friends to use their intuitive talents to help find a lost object, it's even more of a motivational boost when they tell you it's not lost. I could have easily brushed it off because I didn't lose my phone at home, the last place I used it was at my office. But I trusted the information. Topics discussed in this episode: thanking my Indian listeners on gaana.com I was interviewed on SXY podcast losing my phone a little help from my friends using intuition as motivation importance of trusting the information you get from intuition Resources mentioned in this episode: NSFW! www.sxyradiance.com/podcasts Ep. 14 Loving Thy (SXY) Self with Sharmila Mali, an interview by my friend, Angelica Gutierrez for her podcast. 3 ways to support the show: If you love the show, please leave me a review! www.theconfidenthealer.net/reviews/new DONATE, become a patron and donate one time or monthly, it's easy, www.theconfidenthealer.net/support Share the love with someone you love, www.theconfidenthealer.net Or to contact me about getting over your ex, and moving in on confidence and self-love, go to www.ojaireiki.com Music: New Day by Tokyo Music Walker Stream & Download: https://fanlink.to/tmw_new_day Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported — CC BY 3.0, Tokyo Music Walker: https://soundcloud.com/user-356546060 Edited and produced by Sharmila Mali
Confidence in using your voice, a solocast by Sharmila Mali Hello friends, I am back with another solocast and this week I dive a little deeper into my own self-confidence and the lack of self-confidence I felt most of my life when it came to career, work, and school. I was inspired by an Asian immigrant who spoke at the anti-asian hate vigil over the weekend to make this episode. And I also talk about why I am late, once again putting out this podcast, for a hint, I am leaving you an obscure photo that you will just have to listen to find out what the photo is about. Topics discussed in this episode: handling the loss of my phone Anti-Asian hate vigil that I attended speaking up for the first time my history with low self-confidence confidence and using your voice a surprise twist about my phone Resources mentioned in this episode: Sonya Renee Taylor, an award-winning poet, activist, author and leader, www.sonyareneetaylor.com www.mass.gov/service-details/protections-against-hate-crimes victimconnect.org/resources/national-hotlines 3 ways to support the show: If you love the show, please leave me a review! www.theconfidenthealer.net/reviews/new DONATE, become a patron and donate one time or monthly, it's easy, www.theconfidenthealer.net/support Share the love with someone you love, www.theconfidenthealer.net Or to contact me about getting over your ex, and moving in on confidence and self-love, go to www.ojaireiki.com Music: New Day by Tokyo Music Walker Stream & Download: https://fanlink.to/tmw_new_day Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported — CC BY 3.0, Tokyo Music Walker: https://soundcloud.com/user-356546060 Edited and produced by Sharmila Mali
I am back from my week-long break from The Confident Healer podcast. This week's episode is my solo cast. I have been thinking about making a solo cast about my bff's mother since her online celebration of life I attended in early March. One of my bff's mother passed away in the hospital after battling covid, she must have been there for a month. In the episode I used fictitious names to protect their privacy, so when you hear “Clara” that is my bff's mom. She had quite the impact on me, she used to always say, “I am blessed” whenever you asked how she was doing. And I never understood what that meant until years and year later, like over a decade later. When I was writing the script for this episode I must've cried a couple of times, even while editing it days later. I guess it's part of the grieving process. After I finished recording this episode, I drove to the grocery store and on KCRW one of the interviews was about Karla Funderburk's origami memorial crane project. She started making origami cranes last year for every person that died of Covid. Maybe you remember that story because it made the national news last year and then earlier tonight on KCRW. I guess part of the project is people left voicemails and emails that memorialized their loved ones. It was so hearbreaking to hear their stories. I was crying when I parked the car when I got to the grocery store. And I cried on the way home. Also, March 15, is @fairygodmothergeorgie birthday! It's a big one, too 70, so please wish her a happy birthday, it doesn't matter if you see this after the 15th, she will still love birthday wishes! About me, Sharmila Mali, I am a healer, and for the past 15 years or so, most of my clients have been women, who want to get over their ex. I use different modalities to help women get over their ex and I also teach intuitive energy healing and Reiki. Please welcome this week's Confident Healer, Eva Cristina Calderon! Talking to her is like being wrapped in a warm, electric blanket. If I was a cat I would always be next to her! She is both esoteric and practical. And she is the second person that I have spoken to on this podcast who has a deep, unwavering trust in the unknown. She definitely walks her talk! This is my biggest takeaway from this conversation is to keep trusting the unknown, it can be scary but the more you find ways of trusting that deep unknown (which is really trusting all of you) the stronger you build that muscle and the easier it becomes. Listen to find out where this deep trust and confidence comes from with Eva Cristina Calderon. Cristina has a passion for the human condition and the mystical. She considers her own life as a laboratory finding tremendous satisfaction in overcoming her own limitations, she is a licensed Heartmath Coach, Reiki & EFT practitioner She loves marrying science with the mystical. She is originally from Mexico and currently lives in the U.S. since 2001 and is a mother of two girls. So you wanna know what this episode is all about? Oracles, muses, and mediums, oh my!! This week I asked my dear friend and colleague, Keslie Mack to come back to the show because she is experiencing a non-ordinary state of consciousness otherwise known as channeling. Though it's not something she does for other people she has had medium experiences before and is now a direct channel of Mikao Usui, who brought Reiki to the world in the 20th century. For those non-Reiki folks, Mikao Usui himself had a vision and downloaded the system of Reiki after meditating for 21 days on the mountain (non-ordinary state of consciousness). In fact, all the different facets of Reiki that were brought into our reality are a result of some type of non-ordinary state of consciousness experience. For Keslie, channeling Usui started in December of 2020, and she has been creating some amazing content because of this experience. I wanted to normalize this type of experience and give confidence and courage to anyone out there that may be having a similar experience. Oracles, muses, and mediums have been around since people have been around. Every culture had (and still do) a spiritual leader of the community that knew how to access these non-ordinary states of consciousness. We want you to know, you can access this non-ordinary state of consciousness too if you want. And for others, this type of consciousness sometimes seeks the person out, as it did for Keslie. This new Reiki is actually the original Reiki that Usui himself downloaded (according to Keslie) but people weren't ready for it, so he modified it to hands-on healing and kept it less esoteric. Find out more in our exciting interview about how this all got started for Keslie and about Reiki 2.0 (actually, it's the original Reiki as the founder Usui intended!) Join Keslie's FREE workshop: What is KarmicSoul Reiki? on February 23, 2021, @11am PDT. You will also get a BONUS: Deva Uzu Blessing (completely new blessing), and a 7-day Manifesting challenge. She will be doing these free workshops twice a month so if you miss it on Feb 23, you can join the next one. *****UPDATE ON BOOK RELEASE**** DESPITE THE BUZZ BY TAMARA MILLER DAVIS will be released on Amazon: PRE-SALE: MAY 9, 2021 IT WILL BE VISIBLE ON AMAZON.COM ON-SALE: MAY 23, 2021 YOU CAN PURCHASE A COPY ON AMAZON.COM ******************************************************************************* Today we have an ever-so-bright and lovely soul, my friend and fellow dancer, Tamara Miller Davis! This week's episode is a little bit of a different twist in terms of the type of healer that I have on the show, although her energy is naturally very healing as you will soon find out. Do you remember that substitute teacher that was mostly assigned to your school, someone who was so awesome, someone you could relate to and you just loved? Well, that's Tamara, figuratively and literally. One of her many jobs is as a substitute teacher and a soon-to-be-published author of her new novel called, DESPITE THE BUZZ! which is slated to release on mother's day of 2021. Despite The Buzz is a fictionalized tale about technology's toll; it's a human interest story with heart and a sociological study of modern times--pre-pandemic. The novel centers around a motivated character named Miss Oliver who raises awareness about screen use inside her Reflective Writing class. The book depicts the demands upon school teachers and especially to those that grew up before and after current technology. But when an intimate act is shared between students over social media, an inciting incident demonstrates that the potential in our pockets could be lethal. By the way, my remarkable friend regularly volunteers as the secretary for Parent Club at her children's school and was able to squeeze in time to write and professionally edit her new novel over the past 4 years while also starring in USA Today's Storytellers' Project. We talk about how writing is healing, and how it led her to get the book published. Tamara teaches us that even though you may not know it at the time, everything you do has a purpose and each person you meet has a meaningful impact on you. She also learned she had to prioritize herself, which wasn't always easy as a wife of a firefighter and mother of two children under the age of 10, especially during a pandemic. This novel journey of hers, which took her "4 long years to write," is a beautiful testament to self-love and self-care. You see, self-love is also asking for help, tending to your dreams in addition to all your responsibilities that you have in life. Tamara Miller Davis is a writer, author, substitute and ESL teacher, and is a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran who hails from Michigan. She has a B.A. and teaching credentials from CSUCI. Tamara's reading list, these are the authors that influenced her while writing Despite The Buzz: Unselfie: Why Empathetic Kids Succeed in Our All-About-Me World by Michelle Borba, Amusing Ourselves to Death by Neil Postman, A Memoir On Writing by Stephen King, Textbook by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert, Daring Greatly and The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown, The Wisdom of Sundays by Oprah Winfrey, Alone Together by Sherry Turkle, American Girls: Social Media and the Secret Lives of Teenagers by Nancy Jo Sales , Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis, Lives of Girls and Women by Alice Munro, Educated by Tara Westover, This Will Only Hurt a Little by Busy Phillips, Inside Out by Demi Moore, A Book of American Martyrs by Joyce Carol Oats, The Split by Randi Harvey, Life by the Cup by Zhena Muzyka, Islands Apart by Ken McAlpine, Leaving Home by Garrison Keillor, Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Contact: www.despitethebuzz.com, Facebook Despite-the-Buzz-130765802059455, Instagram @TamaraMillerDavis P.S. Hello, my confident peoples! I just want to remind everyone if you have been loving the episodes, to please help me grow this podcast by going to Apple Podcast to rate and review the show, and by donating a couple of bucks on my PayPal link on theconfidenthealer.net. Thank you so much for coming with me on this journey, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am! Let me tell you about what's in store for this week's episode. The life of a healer, so many altered states of consciousness, and then you have to find a way of bringing that back down the mountain while managing the life duties like paying rent and other bills. My next guest had a life-changing experience at a Wizard training and started to channel information that was well received by her audiences. But, she started to doubt herself and lost the ability until she could rebuild and trust herself again. We talk about this and healing from an abusive family and finding the courage to honor your intuition despite what that may mean for your finances. I know it sounds like a bunch of heavy topics, but I promise you it's a fascinating and joy-filled ride, so hop on in with me and Kani Kido, this week's confident healer. This week we have a very sweet and bubbly soul among us, Kani Kido. She experienced a spontaneous kundalini rising in 2006 at a Wizard Training retreat, where she opened to channel a higher guide called Orion. Although that experience reignited her psychic centers, she struggled to stay grounded in the 3D world. Through music, dance, voice dialogue, nature, and a tremendous support system, she has been able to build her repertoire of somatic/body consciousness tools and step more and more into her fully expressed sElf. Nowadays, KaNi (meaning “sound” in Hawaiian) prefers to get back to her ancient roots, connecting with the land & nature spirits, allowing them to “speak” through her dancing/movement; much like how any indigenous peoples communicated in generations past. Kani Kido is a certified Sacred Depths Coach, certified Massage Therapist, Retreat Facilitator, & Energy Conjurer. Have you ever thought about where all these societal hierarchies come from? And by that I mean sexism, racism, classism. Hasn't it always been this way—don't we as humans beat down on the weak in some way, isn't that just a part of humanity as a whole? My next guest says no. We jump right into a conversation about finding the courage and confidence to educate people about some unknown and uncomfortable truths about U.S. and World history. We dive into a lot more about self-trust, expanding into fear, and accepting that we spiritual beings having a human experience. Let's listen in to my convo with Shawna Bluestar, this week's confident healer. Shawna Bluestar is an international keynote speaker at universities, festivals and community events. She has been on the radio and host for online summits. She is dedicated to supporting seekers, changemakers, and advocates who want to make a positive impact, to live their true calling and share their unique gifts living their purpose and dreams. She works with her father to help lead a global movement for conscious change to speak out on The Doctrine of Discovery and Domination Code. She is the creator and facilitator for her ground-breaking programs, The Reverence Code Reset, and Sacred Feminine Rising. www.shawnabluestar.com/. Do you remember being 22? Do you remember what you were doing, who you wanted to be or were becoming? Did you ever consider doing something that was so far out of your lane, you almost had to become someone else? Well, that's what my next guest did, on a suggestion of a friend, she went from being a doormat to a Dominatrix. She just published a book about it: "Freedom Year: How Trying to Be a Dominatrix (and Failing) Changed my Life.” We talk about that, intuition, long-distance love and the pandemic, and using an object as a muse for creativity. Let's find out what else the ever-so-lovely Sofia Wren has to say on this week's, confident healer. Sofia is a writer, musician, and spiritual support for writers, creators, and entrepreneurs around the world. Beginning her work almost ten years ago, she's been described as having spot-on intuition, positive vibes, and a gift for words that inspire. She has an M.A. in Spiritual and Pastoral Care from Loyola and a passion for helping unconventional people to always know what to do next because they can hear their intuition and trust it. She recently published the memoir, "Freedom Year: How Trying to Be a Dominatrix (and Failing) Changed my Life" which you can buy directly at: sofiawren.com/freedom-year-how-trying-to-be-a-dominatrix-and-failing-changed-my-life/ If you are interested in getting involved in the Sierra Leone organization that she mentioned please see Sofia's email below. Happy New Year! This week, I am the confident healer! Muhaahahahaaaaa, it's my show so I can do what I want! :D Here is your invitation to this solocast, where I reflect on some of the things that the pandemic taught me. These were: forgiveness, finding my voice and expressing myself in a more public way *cough* The Confident Healer podcast cough*, and figuring out how to deal with your loved ones when you have opposing political viewpoints. I mean we are all humans living on this planet, we have to help each other. I also miss hugs. The other major lesson last year taught me even more so is the power of touch. I get hugs from my partner and our cats, and I miss hugging all my loved ones, too. *sigh* Soon, it will happen. I had my ups and downs, and had plenty of time to reflect, grow, retract, grow, reflect…well, you get the picture. Honestly, there were some deep pitfalls than I had experienced in a couple of years, but I found a way to climb out. Part of climbing out was *not* turning off my phone, staying in touch, seeing uplifting posts, and seeing friends in the safest way possible. And getting many covid tests. I have never swabbed my nostrils and sinus cavity (in some cases) so many times like I did last year. It's not over so I expect to get more nasal penetration until we are all somewhat safe and immune. I do hope you are all well and have found some sort of refuge from the chaos happening in our country. Turn off the news, close your laptops and get outside-- weather permitting of course! And if you can get outside, take me along with you, and allow me to add a pep in your step, and let you know that we all struggle and we all recover. Find your light and shine bright, my friends, shine so bright other people shine, too. Much love. This was such a lively chat with a lively and lovely person. It was filled with so many profound paradigm shifts, at one point, my mind was blown with her take on the well-used aphorism: "feel the fear and do it anyway!" You may be able to relate to her when she talks about her old, soul-sucking job, a place filled with toxicity and faking it till you make it. But what happens when you look put together on the outside, but on the inside, you feel anxious and unworthy? Well, you follow your intuition and honor the person you were meant to be, and her intuition led her to help people find their voice and be in alignment with their business using a tool called Human Design. Find out what Human design is and how she handles confidence and fear as a healerpreneur. Kendra is the author of 2 books: “The 7-Step Morning Manifestation Guide” and “Mind Boss Habits, 12 Steps to Getting out of Your Head and Into Action”.
