La maladie de Crohn et la rectocolite hémorragique sont les deux maladies inflammatoires chroniques de l'intestin, appelés plus communément MICI. Dues à une dérégulation du système immunitaire, ces maladies se caractérisent par l'inflammation de la paroi d'une partie du tube digestif. Généralement diagnostiquées entre 20 et 30 ans, elles sont plus fréquentes dans les pays industrialisés. Quels sont les symptômes ? Comment se fait le diagnostic ? Quelle prise en charge existe ?     Parler de santé, c'est aussi faire sortir certaines maladies de l'anonymat: les rendre visibles, alors que pour beaucoup d'entre nous, leur nom sont inconnus et leurs symptômes ignorés et c'est aussi à cela que servent les journées mondiales ! Ce 19 mai, c'est précisément la journée mondiale des maladies inflammatoires chroniques de l'intestin, les MICI : 4 lettres pour désigner la maladie de Crohn et la Rectocolite Hémorragique. 300.000 personnes concernées dans un pays comme la France, où près de 8.000 nouveaux diagnostics sont posés chaque année. Alors, on peut légitimement se demander pourquoi ? Comment expliquer que ces MICI et les patients soient en quelque sorte invisibilisés ? Pour comprendre :  il faut saisir la dimension taboue des symptômes et des complications possibles (diarrhées, douleurs, fistules, urgenterie, saignements...) et plus largement, la difficulté de parler ouvertement de ces organes - ceux de la sphère digestive (anus, rectum)- qui peuvent être directement affectés par les poussées inflammatoires.  Aujourd'hui, il n'existe pas de test de dépistage dédié pout le diagnostic, et côté explications, il s'agit plutôt d'un faisceau de facteurs : prédisposition génétique, rôle de l'environnement, déséquilibre du microbiote. Mieux connaitre ces maladies qui peuvent très lourdement impacter le quotidien, c'est important pour sortir de la stigmatisation et intégrer certaines habitudes alimentaires ou en termes de lutte contre le stress, qui vont permettre d'améliorer la qualité de vie.  Avec : Pr Julien Kirchgesner, gastroentérologue à l'Hôpital Saint-Antoine à Paris et directeur d'une équipe de recherche en épidémiologie à Sorbonne Université, spécialisé dans la prise en charge des patients atteints de maladies inflammatoires chroniques de l'intestin Dr Innocent Ngo, gastroentérologue au Cabinet Médical Icare à Abidjan. Într-o economie aflată în recesiune, salariile cresc ușor. Cel puțin, deocamdată, adică în luna martie a.c. Mai precis, salariul mediu brut a fost de 9.902 lei, iar cel net de 5.938 de lei, ambele cu o creștere cu 4,3% față de martie 2025. O analiză mai atentă arată că ritmul creșterii, destul de redus, a fost susținut de data aceasta de sectorul privat, pentru că salariile din zona publică au avut scăderi ușoare. O problemă este legată de raportul dintre creșterea salariilor și rata inflației. Astfel, indicele câștigului salarial real a fost de aproximativ 95%, ceea ce înseamnă că rata inflației a fost cu 5% mai mare decât creșterea medie a salariilor. Practic, vorbim despre o scădere a puterii de cumpărare, dar este un fenomen care a început în a doua jumătate a anului trecut. Așadar, tabloul salariilor în economia locală s-a schimbat. Cu unele excepții, sectorul economic a crescut salariile, dar ritmul este în majoritatea cazurilor destul de redus. De altfel, acesta este specificul sectorului privat care aplică o politică salarială prudentă. În acest context, administrația publică și instituțiile de stat au avut o scădere a salariilor. Concret, în mediul privat, salariile au scăzut în câteva sectoare economice, precum activități juridice și de contabilitate, tranzacții imobiliare, telecomunicații, fabricarea mobilei sau pescuit și acvacultură. Creșterile care au depășit media s-au înregistrat în industria de fabricare a produselor din tutun care a ajuns cel mai bine plătit sector din România, prelucrarea țițeiului sau producția de energie electrică și gaze. Inevitabil, în evoluțiile salariale din sectorul economic vedem și industriile care au avut în ultimul an performanțe economice bune, pentru că în mediul privat ajustările de salarii și de personal se fac mult mai rapid decât în instituțiile publice. Cu alte cuvinte, companiile private cresc sau scad salariile, angajează sau restructurează forță de muncă în funcție de rezultatele financiare pe care le obțin. Un caz special este de data aceasta evoluția salariilor din sectorul public. În martie 2026 față de martie 2025, au fost scăderi pe toată linia în ceea ce privește salariul mediu net. Adică, în administrație publică și apărare salariul mediu s-a redus de la 7.217 lei la 6.886 lei, în învățământ de la 6.069 lei la 5.805 lei, iar în domeniul sănătății și asistenței sociale salariul mediu a scăzut de la 5.422 lei la 5.403 lei. Scăderile sunt efectul măsurilor adoptate începând cu a doua jumătate a anului trecut, atunci când unele sporuri din sectorul bugetar au fost reduse și când s-a aplicat măsura de „înghețare” a salariilor plătite din fonduri publice. Aceasta este „fotografia” lunii martie a.c. Anul acesta, în fața economiei stau multe necunoscute, de la evoluția inflației, până la rezultatele economice ale companiilor. De cifra de afaceri și profitul firmelor depind încasările bugetare și implicit salariile din sectorul public. Dar, de performanțele firmelor depind și salariile din mediul privat. De aceea, sunt mari șansele ca reducerea puterii de cumpărare pentru mai multe categorii profesionale să continue. Tot ieri, premierul interimar Ilie Bolojan a vorbit despre principiile legii de salarizare unitară. Noua lege va păstra actuala anvelopă salarială din sectorul bugetar de 8,1% din PIB. Acest lucru va însemna că unele ajustări bugetare în sensul creșterii se vor putea face, dar o mărire semnificativă a salariilor presupune reducerea personalului. Deocamdată, aceasta este viziunea guvernului. Dar, în acest moment, instituțiile publice tărăgănează restructurarea stabilită prin legislație încă de anul trecut. De fapt, oamenii de la stat așteaptă să plece „cel care taie” și să vină „cel care dă”.

Lumière sur les MICI, les maladies inflammatoires chroniques de l'intestin, assez méconnues du grand public et qui touchent pourtant plus de 300 000 Français ! À l'approche de la Journée mondiale des MICI, le CHU Jean Minjoz de Besançon organise une journée d'information, mercredi 13 mai de 9h à 16h, pour en savoir plus sur leur impact, les parcours de soins et les solutions pour mieux vivre au quotidien avec ces maladies. On découvre le programme de cette journée avec Julie Garet, déléguée de l'AFA Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, association engagée depuis plus de 40 ans contre les maladies inflammatoires chroniques de l'intestin.

C'est un paradoxe qui intrigue les médecins depuis des décennies : comment une substance aussi nocive que le tabac peut-elle, dans certains cas précis, avoir un effet bénéfique sur une maladie inflammatoire de l'intestin ?D'abord, précisons de quoi l'on parle. Toutes les MICI ne sont pas concernées. Le tabac semble aggraver la Maladie de Crohn, mais à l'inverse, il peut atténuer les symptômes de la Rectocolite hémorragique. C'est cette dernière qui intrigue particulièrement les chercheurs.Pendant longtemps, on a pensé que la nicotine était responsable de cet effet. Elle agit en effet sur le système immunitaire et peut réduire certaines réponses inflammatoires. Mais cette explication était incomplète. Une étude menée par l'institut japonais RIKEN, sous la direction du chercheur Hiroshi Ohno, a apporté un éclairage beaucoup plus fin.Leur découverte pointe vers un acteur clé : le microbiote intestinal, c'est-à-dire l'ensemble des milliards de bactéries qui vivent dans notre intestin. Chez les patients atteints de rectocolite hémorragique, cet écosystème est souvent déséquilibré, ce qui favorise l'inflammation chronique.Or, certaines substances contenues dans la fumée de cigarette — pas seulement la nicotine — semblent modifier cet équilibre bactérien. Plus précisément, elles favoriseraient la production de molécules anti-inflammatoires par certaines bactéries intestinales. Ces molécules, appelées métabolites, agissent directement sur la paroi intestinale et calment l'inflammation.En simplifiant : le tabac ne “soigne” pas la maladie. Il modifie l'environnement intestinal d'une manière qui, chez certains patients, réduit temporairement les symptômes.Mais attention, et c'est crucial : cet effet bénéfique est très spécifique, limité, et largement contrebalancé par les effets délétères du tabac. Fumer augmente massivement le risque de cancers, de maladies cardiovasculaires et de nombreuses autres pathologies. D'ailleurs, chez les patients atteints de maladie de Crohn, le tabac a l'effet inverse : il aggrave les poussées et complique l'évolution de la maladie.Ce paradoxe intéresse surtout les chercheurs pour une raison précise : comprendre ces mécanismes pourrait permettre de développer de nouveaux traitements. L'idée n'est évidemment pas de prescrire des cigarettes, mais d'isoler les molécules ou les effets microbiotiques responsables pour en faire des thérapies ciblées, sans les dangers du tabac.En résumé, le tabac agit ici comme un faux ami : il peut, dans un cas très précis, calmer l'inflammation… mais au prix de risques bien plus graves. Ce que la science cherche aujourd'hui, ce n'est pas à défendre la cigarette, mais à percer ses secrets pour mieux soigner, sans fumée. Hébergé par Acast. Singuri sau prin asocieri, întreprinzătorii români mici și mijlocii au reușit să dezvolte afaceri cu distribuție directă către consumatori. Unele afaceri au o deschidere europeană. Invitați la Rural: Andreea Koronios, antreprenor, Adrian Despi, antreprenor agribusiness. Adrian Despi: "Noi am început afacerea ca și o pasiune. Am ajuns în Franța, unde am degustat cidrul și ne-a plăcut foarte mult. Eu și fratele meu am început după aceea să facem experimente la nivel hobby în bucătărie. După aceea un pic mai mare în curte și până la urmă am hotărât să facem o afacere din asta. Am vrut să facem și noi cidru, așa cum am băut în Franța, pentru că mărul este cel mai comun fruct la noi în țară. Și materie primă practic este foarte multă, iar aici am observat o lipsă pe piață a procesatorilor. Din acest motiv am hotărât să facem o afacere în procesarea fructelor și a legumelor. Și acesta este modelul. Ne bazăm pe materii prime locale.Cu ajutorul unor proiecte de finanțare accesate prin AFIR, am reușit să facem și noi o livadă de meri și piersic, dar în continuare ea fiind tânără, nu ne dă suficient fruct ca să ne asigure materia primă. Și majoritatea fructelor sunt cumpărate de la fermieri locali."Andreea Koronios: "Fiind o familie mixtă – eu româncă, iar soțul meu grec –, am avut acces direct la producători de ulei de măsline. Afacerea noastră a început dintr-o întâmplare și s-a consolidat în timp, înflorind cu aproximativ un an înainte de lansarea Roua. Recent, am aniversat cinci ani de activitate. Totul a pornit când, la nuntă, am primit o cantitate generoasă de ulei de măsline de la nașii și socrii noștri. Am început să-l oferim prietenilor, iar recomandările au venit de la sine, transformând o simplă întâmplare într-un business de succes.După cum spuneam, cunoștințele mele despre uleiul de măsline erau inexistente. Țin minte că, înainte de căsătorie, soțul meu mi-a spus că are o livadă de măslini, vreo 1.500 sau 2.000 de copaci, și că produce ulei de măsline. Am luat-o ca pe un detaliu obișnuit și am răspuns firesc: „Ok, și la noi este ulei de măsline, îl găsești în toate supermarketurile, în diverse sortimente”. Abia când a venit în România și mi-a adus ulei proaspăt presat, mi-am dat seama că nu vorbim despre același produs.Ulterior, am aflat că uleiul de măsline este unul dintre cele mai falsificate produse alimentare, probabil la egalitate cu mierea. Am înțeles diferența pe propria piele, iar apoi și alți oameni au descoperit-o. Uleiul de măsline autentic nu este amar, nu lasă un gust rânced și nu schimbă aroma mâncării – dimpotrivă, o îmbogățește. Este o bucurie în sine."

Zenithism (1921-1927): A Yugoslav Avant-Garde Anthology (Academic Studies Press, 2023) is the first-ever English language anthology of zenithism – an eclectic avant-garde movement that operated in the Yugoslav region between 1921 and 1927. The founder of Zenithism – poet Ljubomir Micić – envisioned the movement as a fusion of futurism, dada, constructivism, expressionism, and proto-surrealism, with the movement's philosophy embodied in the figure of the Balkan Barbarogenius (barbarian-genius). A hallmark of the movement was its embrace of cross-genre writing, from Micić's ciné-poem Rescue Vehicle and Branko Ve Poljanski's lyric novel 77 Suicides to MID's lyric philosophic treatise The Sexual Equilibrium of Money. Reaching the wider international audience for the first time, this anthology sheds light on an untapped chapter in European modernism. Aleksandar Bošković is Lecturer in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian within the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Columbia University. He is a scholar of Russian and East European modernism, Yugoslav, post-Yugoslav and Balkan Studies, with a strong background in comparative literature, critical theory, and visual studies. Bošković specializes in avant-garde literature and experimental art practices explored through the lenses of comparative media.  Steven Teref is a translator from Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian.
