Your skin is a reflection of your cellular health—but what if you could influence it on a deeper level? Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) is changing the way we think about aging, collagen production, and inflammation. In this episode of the Biohacking Beauty podcast, Amitay Eshel and Anastasia Khodzhaeva, co-founders of Young Goose Skincare, break down how red light therapy impacts skin longevity, from boosting collagen to reducing inflammation. They explain what determines individual results, the common mistakes people make, and how to get the most out of this powerful technology. But here's the truth that not everyone knows: using red light therapy alone isn't enough. To truly support skin regeneration, it needs the right biochemical environment. That's where our newest LADR serum comes in—optimizing ATP production and reducing oxidative stress to help your skin work smarter. We break down exactly how to integrate this into your skincare routine, from layering antioxidants to timing your treatments for maximum benefit. We Also Discuss:(04:36) Why Red Light Therapy Is a Game-Changer For Your Skin(12:48) The Skincare Ingredients That Actually Work with Red Light Therapy(23:06) Creating a Red Light Therapy Skin Care RoutineLearn more about:Young GooseUse code PODCAST10 to get 10% off your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% off at https://www.younggoose.com/ Instagram: @young_goose_skincare
Most of us have heard of exfoliation, and you may already be incorporating this step into your routine. But did you know that exfoliation plays a pivotal role in keeping your skin radiant and healthy? Think of exfoliation as prepping a canvas before painting. Just like you wouldn't apply fresh paint on a wall without preparing it first, you shouldn't apply skincare products on a layer of dead skin cells. Welcome to another episode of the Biohacking Beauty podcast brought to you by Young Goose Skincare! In this episode, host Amitay Eshel, the CEO of Young Goose, dives into an essential step in your skincare routine: exfoliation. He covers why exfoliation is crucial for maintaining healthy skin, and the difference between chemical and mechanical exfoliation. Plus, he shares the importance of understanding the needs of your skin. What we discuss:[00:02:25] Why skin cell turnover is crucial for maintaining healthy skin [00:03:15] Chemical vs. mechanical exfoliation[00:04:08] The benefits of proper exfoliation[00:08:22] Why understanding the needs of your skin is essentialKey Takeaways:Exfoliation plays an important role in enhancing the absorption and effectiveness of skincare products. By removing the layer of dead skin cells on the surface of your skin, exfoliation allows the active ingredients in skincare products to penetrate more deeply and work more effectively. This means that your moisturizers, serums, and treatments can better target and address specific skin concerns, resulting in improved overall skincare results. There are two primary types of exfoliation: mechanical and chemical. Mechanical or physical exfoliation entails physically scrubbing the skin using an abrasive substance. In contrast, chemical exfoliation involves using ingredients such as acids or enzymes that dissolve the glue binding the dead skin cells together.Understanding the specific requirements of your skin is vital for effective exfoliation. Oily skin, for instance, often faces issues like excessive dead skin cells and clogged pores. Frequent exfoliation can be beneficial in maintaining a clearer complexion for oily skin types. On the other hand, dry skin may require a gentler approach to exfoliation, as it tends to be more sensitive.Learn More about Young Goose:Use code PODCAST10 to get 10% off your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% off at https://www.younggoose.com/ Instagram: @young_goose_skincare

In this episode of Biohacking Superhuman Performance with guest Amitay Eshel, we discuss the importance of slowing down aging in a healthy way. We dive into how you can damage skin with many of today's popular skin procedures and how to navigate through it effectively to avoid causing more long-term trauma to your skin. Specifically, we talk about how to reset your skin cells functionally by using compounds that recycle and reset energy in your skin (Hint: Spermidine in skincare!) We also dive into the damage cosmetic procedures can do to the perception of beauty and what is currently aesthetically pleasing. With a variety of mechanical and chemical procedures, it's important to know what the long-term effects can be, as well as, how to know which procedure is best for you and your aging goals. Overall, this episode offers guidance on navigating the skin health and beauty industry, so that you're knowledgeable when choosing what's best for you. Amitay Eshel is a seasoned biohacking and beauty entrepreneur. With over a decade of experience in health, wellness, and beauty leadership, he co-founded Young Goose and its popular Biohacking Beauty podcast, making waves through education and innovation. (9:30) Procedures are assaults on the body and can tax the endocrine system and gut health. (12:58) The long-term cost of lasers, IPLs, and peels. (14:00) The mechanical and chemical risks of penetration procedures. (21:46) Radio frequency and the wrong kind of microneedling create structural changes that are irreversible. (25:05) When we completely penetrate the skin barrier, it can't do it's job (it creates leaky skin). (46:35) How to properly prepare your skin for an asthetic procedure so that you recover well. (50:19) The molecule spermadine and it's ability to reverse aging at a cellular level. (55:05) New topical applications of compounds that can reverse the 12 signs of aging. (1:08:50) New Young Goose serums that penetrate deeply into the skin for maximum results. (1:18:00) Where to find Young Goose products and more. Key Takeaways: Major cosmetic procedures can cause significant body dysmorphia. It shifts what is aesthetically pleasing so that the patient is never truly pleased or done changing. The idea that you can get plastic surgery simply for aesthetic reasons started in the 80s with two surgeons who were also artists. This episode discusses our human differences and the fact that you cannot make broad changes without disrupting true beauty. Major cosmetic changes can affect your endocrine system, gut health, and more - they're assaults on the body. The cost of peels and penetration of the skin is higher than you might think. The risks are mechanical or chemical. We dive into the reasons to avoid mechanical risks at all costs. Radio frequency treatments cause inflammation which shows up as short-term progress as plump skin. But long term, you're just creating more scar tissue. It causes functional changes and damage that sticks around. Microneedling is a great procedure if you are getting “stamped” not “rolled.” Before getting any type of procedure, make sure to have the correct recovery pathway, like having sunblock at home to help protect the skin barrier. Spermadine (a polyamine) can affect all 12+ hallmarks of aging. Spermidine is a magical molecule that mimics a signal for recycling and reinvesting of energy for repair and resilience. It's an incredible reset button we can push. A topical compound that includes spermidine works to make your skin functionally younger (even if it's not biologically younger).

In the realm of health and wellness, revolutionary discoveries often require time and persistent effort. One such discovery, unraveling the profound effects of deuterium on aging and the benefits of deuterium-depleted water, has transformed our understanding of health and longevity. Deuterium, a natural element found in our bodies and environment, was first discovered in 1932 by Dr. Ure and his colleague. Despite its presence in our physiology, it has been found that our bodies should ideally have 25% less deuterium for optimal health. An excess of deuterium can cause damage to our bodies, a fact that has been overlooked in many scientific studies until now.Deuterium disrupts the energy production process in our cells, leading to aging and a decrease in energy levels. Reducing deuterium levels in our bodies could potentially slow down the aging process and boost our energy production. Deuterium's impact on aging is not just limited to the cellular level, it also affects the structure of our DNA and collagen, two key components in the aging process. Welcome to another episode of the Biohacking Beauty podcast brought to you by Young Goose Skincare! In this episode, host Amitay Eshel, the CEO of Young Goose, is joined by Victor Sagalovsky, founder cofounder and CEO of Litewater Scientific, the first and only super deuterium-depleted light water. The term 'biohacking' may sound intimidating, but it simply refers to a practice that uses science and technology to make your body function better. This convergence lies at the core of the Young Goose skincare line, with a mission to biohack skincare and rejuvenate the skin on a cellular level by utilizing powerful ingredients like NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide). NAD+ plays a crucial role in the skin's rejuvenation and repair processes, resulting in healthier, younger-looking skin. As we age, our NAD+ levels decline, which can lead to reduced cellular repair and increased signs of aging. Taking control of skin aging extends beyond just using skincare products, and holistic practices like regular exercise, intermittent fasting, maintaining good sleep hygiene, and embracing mindfulness can naturally elevate NAD levels. Welcome to another episode of the Biohacking Beauty podcast brought to you by Young Goose Skincare! [09:51] NAD: The powerful supplement! Are there pros and cons to using it? · NAD exists inside the body and is necessary for the body to do what it needs. · It is the building blocks that the body creates or recycles and then gets into the cell. Without NAD, the body doesn't know how to break it down and get it into the cells. To communicate with the body, we need to communicate in its cascade of responses and have the body figure out what it needs to do. · NAD is the result of the end process of something; the result and the end of it would be fill-in-the-blank. · The problem with supplementing on NAD precursor, NAD building blocks, is that it has a hierarchy of what organ they meet first and what organ the body prioritizes. · NAD precursor building blocks to methyl groups are interchangeable so it would be good. Most of the energy will stay in the liver, while the rest will go to muscles, the heart, and the brain. · The most important details in this text are that it is important to have NAD precursors absorbed directly into the skin and taken by the skin. NAD is more like potential energy than potential energy. [19:29] The Look of Skin and Why Skin Health Matters · Auto luminescence in the skin can be used to infer the person's health; in general, the skin signals sexual vibrancy in youth as we grow older past that point. If these organs are not functioning correctly, it can affect our skin's appearance, such as acne, collagen production, etc. · When we grow, the skin becomes more and more a protective organ, more and more an organ that is more like a barrier, more like taking the brunt of our exposure to environmental stressors, such as UV, pollution, and EMF. This can lead to hyperpigmentation and senescent cells, malfunctioning cells that can become cancerous and dangerous. · Zombie cells are troublemakers because they infect other cells, don't contribute to the organism, and only create inflammation. It contributes to whole-body aging, as the skin is one of the organs exposed to the environment. · Aging is a snowball, where in the beginning, we are creating damage to the skin and aging in the skin, but it eventually comes back to bite us. [26:05] The Mechanism Between the Skin and The Hypothalamus Pituitary · The skin is directly connected to the hypothalamus-pituitary axis, which is responsible for relaying environmental stressors. · Senescence cells, melanocytes, pigment-creating cells, immune cells, and cells are our blood cells in the skin, or the cells around our blood vessels, creating inflammation. · When there is a big disruption in the body, these senescence cells inflame to send inflammation markers back to the brain. This is not supposed to happen if the body is healthy and youthful. · The most important details in this text are the disruption in hormone signaling and inflammation in the brain, which can lead to brain fog, impaired decision-making, and decision fatigue. [33:32] Healthy Metabolism and What You Should Notice in the Skin · Skin tags signify that we are in an anabolic state, which can lead to type two diabetes. If someone has skin tags, it is a sign that they are too much in mTOR, so they should see a doctor. · The most important details in this text are that dark circles are caused by glycation or AGS end products. AGS is a reaction that we get from consuming sugar, and they disrupt the function of proteins in the skin and break them out. · This leads to the accumulation of wrinkles, which is caused by the inability of the skin to repair the movement of collagen, which is like a dry rubber. The more rigid the skin, the more wrinkles we'll see. · The most important details in this text are that skin rigidity is caused by glycation, and the more rigid the skin is, the more glycation or AGS have wreaked havoc on the skin. · This causes the skin to become thinner and lose its structure, leading to dark circles and puffiness. Additionally, the ratio of AEGs, the skin cells or proteins, is slightly higher, which is how puffiness is created. [40:15] Loose skin after weight loss? Is there a way to tighten it? · Loose skin after pregnancy or weight loss is irreversible, and surgery is necessary to treat it. If it is just loose skin, some things can be done to tighten it, such as micro-needling or inflammation. · Intermittent fasting is also a great way to lose weight. · Micro-needling involves rolling a micro derma roller on the skin, which releases oxidative stress from the mitochondria and causes low-level inflammation. · Red and near-infrared light is thought to lower inflammation, but the main effect is releasing oxidative stress. · People need to understand that they were deprived of nutrients through their weight loss journey and that their ability to mind the P's and Q's mind, the little aspects of nutrition, is limited. [50:35] How may a change in lifestyle help you get rid of acne? · Raw dairy can cause acne because it feeds pee acne bacteria, which is the bacteria that causes acne. · To combat this, consuming more dairy and using probiotics such as serene skin and specific probiotics for skin health is important. · Qualia skin is a supplement for skin health; both are important for skin health in general. · We need to eliminate the inflammation associated with acne by using green tea vital serum, which is both anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. This serum has been designed to prove red light therapy but is also anti-inflammatory. · Retinol is bound to biomimetic lipids that normally comprise the skin barrier, making it as strong as a prescription but without any drawbacks like peeling, irritation, or skin irritation. · Acne is caused by the inability to drive toxins out of the skin due to less lymphatic movement and accumulating layers of skin.
