This can lead to hyperpigmentation and senescent cells, malfunctioning cells that can become cancerous and dangerous. · Zombie cells are troublemakers because they infect other cells, don't contribute to the organism, and only create inflammation. It contributes to whole-body aging, as the skin is one of the organs exposed to the environment. · Aging is a snowball, where in the beginning, we are creating damage to the skin and aging in the skin, but it eventually comes back to bite us. [26:05] The Mechanism Between the Skin and The Hypothalamus Pituitary · The skin is directly connected to the hypothalamus-pituitary axis, which is responsible for relaying environmental stressors. · Senescence cells, melanocytes, pigment-creating cells, immune cells, and cells are our blood cells in the skin, or the cells around our blood vessels, creating inflammation. · When there is a big disruption in the body, these senescence cells inflame to send inflammation markers back to the brain. This is not supposed to happen if the body is healthy and youthful. · The most important details in this text are the disruption in hormone signaling and inflammation in the brain, which can lead to brain fog, impaired decision-making, and decision fatigue. AGS is a reaction that we get from consuming sugar, and they disrupt the function of proteins in the skin and break them out. · This leads to the accumulation of wrinkles, which is caused by the inability of the skin to repair the movement of collagen, which is like a dry rubber.
