I've learned recently about a situation whereby church members were told by their pastor not to associate with a previous member of the church. The rationale given was based on 1 Corinthians 5:11-13. Can you explain the context for the culture at the time that was this was written and the application in today's culture20:22 minutes into episode Aprl 28 -Why are you guys called inverted orthodoxy? what does that mean?31:24 minutes into episodeMay 1 - I was thinking of the purity conversation when my news feed was populated with this “man vs bear” narrative. It was meant to be a hyperbolic conversation, but many people got fixated on the stats for the hypothetical scenario. It goes like this: would you rather as a woman or girl be in the woods alone with a bear? Or a man? I'm curious to hear your answers. Please note their is no additional info, just would you rather your daughter be in the woods alone with a bear or a man. I Believe the original intent was to start a conversation about believing women, but it's taken some interesting turns.  48:29 minutes into episode May 3 - Why does your church give no attention to the ascension of Jesus? If we do not recognize the ascension we have no Pentecost.and no second coming.

Lawyers are largely limited to practicing law in the states in which they are licensed. But now, calling that rule anachronistic, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers has asked the American Bar Association to amend the model rules that govern law practice to allow lawyers admitted in any U.S. jurisdiction to practice law and provide legal advice to clients anywhere in the country. “Our proposal advocates that a lawyer admitted in any United States jurisdiction should be able to practice law and represent willing clients without regard to the geographic location of the lawyer or the client, without regard to the forum where the services are to be provided, and without regard to which jurisdiction's rules apply at a given moment in time,” APRL President Brian Faughnan said in a letter to ABA President Reginald M. Turner. On this episode of LawNext, Faughnan joins host Bob Ambrogi to discuss why APRL has concluded that the change is critical to a “21st Century approach to the practice of law.” They discuss the APRL study and report that called for replacement of the current Rule 5.5 of the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, APRL's proposed new version of 5.5 that would allow multi-jurisdictional practice, and why Faughnan believes there is a strong likelihood that the ABA will at least give strong consideration to the change.  In his day job, Faughnan is a shareholder in the Tennessee law firm Lewis Thomason, where his practice includes representing lawyers and law firms in disciplinary matters.  Thank You To Our Sponsors This episode of LawNext is generously made possible by our sponsors. Lagi Pengen Bacot
"Pengaruh Anime Naruto Terhadap Tindak Kekerasan Remaja"

Lagi Pengen Bacot

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 14, 2022 6:07

Chris Chavez and Matthew Luke Meyer catch up from New Jersey and Montana to unpack the biggest storylines in the sport for Aprl 2020. With races and events cancelled through most of the summer, the sport has gotten creative with virtual races, time trials, backyard ultra marathons and pole vault competitions. This is how we're staying active and entertained amid a pandemic. We did our best to not say the c*********s word in the podcast. Among notable news from the month of April: World Athletics says that no performance between April 2020 and November 30, 2020 will count toward Tokyo qualification. The new window will run from Dec. 1 to May 31 for the marathon and then through June 29 for all other events. Some athletes were a bit upset by this blanket suspension. The Berlin Marathon was the first major marathon to be affected by the pandemic and gathering limits. It will be postponed or scaled down to an extent. The re-scheduled Boston is scheduled to take place two weeks before that. No Diamond League Meets through June but Oslo will be putting on The Impossible Games. Oregon 2021 becomes Oregon 2022 with the world championships being held from July 15 to July 24 at the new Hayward Field. The meet is early and will be held before Commonwealth Games and European Championships oddly enough. 'Dopers Gonna Dope' with Asbel Kiprop still saying he's innocent, Daniel Wanjiru getting busted for a biological passport violation and athletes recording whereabouts failures. Bad news: Coogan's, the popular track and field NYC bar by The Armory, has closed for good. Good news: Shalane adopted a baby! What's the most impressive run we've seen on Strava since quarantine? All that and more on the latest episode. ▶ Follow us: twitter.com/CitiusMag | instagram.com/citiusmag | facebook.com/citiusmag ✩ Connect with Chris via Email: chris@citiusmag.com | twitter.com/ChrisChavez | instagram.com/chris_j_chavez ✩ Connect with Matt on Instagram: Instagram.com/matthewlukemeyer

Steven Presley is joined by Joe M. O'Connell, the American novelist, documentary filmmaker, short story writer, photographer, and journalist based in Austin, Texas. His latest documentary Rondo and Bob was set to premiere on Aprl 17th, 2020, at MegaCon in Orlando as part of the affiliated Saints and Sinners Film Festival. Of course, like all events around the world, it was postponed due to the pandemic. Now Joe, like many filmmakers across the country, sits in quarantine waiting to find out when they can finally show their movies to the world, albeit a very different version of the world than they initially thought they would screen a film in front of. Joe tells us how he is using his time in his bunker and what other creators could do to make the most of this unprecedented time... Yes, we are also getting tired of hearing the use of "unprecedented time" but will still take the low hanging fruit! Also, is Indiana Jones 5 doomed? Pun intended? And more on a potential AMC bailout. Finally, Kirk-o-Matic works a zoom chat like no other.
