On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Danny NoNo of Big Eleanor Records! Based in Pennsylvania, Danny is a drummer and founder of indie label Big Eleanor Records. Inspired by MF DOOM, Danny wanted to collaborate with different artists and create multiple musical projects under different names, which led to the birth of the label. Since Mike and Danny first talked in 2022, Big Eleanor Records has continued to grow and leave its mark on the independent music scene. In addition to live shows and numerous releases with DMV rapper Shaw Calhoune, the Big El family welcomed two up-and-coming artists to its roster this year in Laddie Moran and Adrian Rose. In this episode, Danny talks with Mike about the growth of Big Eleanor Records, including touring and playing live shows, bringing Laddie Moran and Adrian Rose onboard, the awesome new music that's coming in 2024 from Shaw, Laddie, and Adrian, doing what he loves and sticking to his purpose, where his work ethic and DIY spirit comes from, and more. This episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman also features the song "No Voicemail" from Shaw Calhoune and Dj Skruff off Shaw's debut full length LP entitled Carry Out On Shaw, available where you get your music!
Spoilers ahead as we review a bunch of stuff. We loved Across The Spiderverse(1:53) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. (32:00) Big El gets worked up about John Leguizamo and his thoughts about the Super Mario Bros. Movie. (51:47) Frediablo just got Street Fighter 6 and share his thoughts.

In this episode Adam Coleman chops it up with BEC Media's Elgin "Big El" Bailey. A very thoughtful and provocative discussion on race, community, Kendrick Lamar, and even child rearing. This brother certainly has some important things to say!
