Now that they know what happens when you kill an Original, Elena and Damon take a trip to Denver to check in on Jeremy and to see if he can contact Rose on the Other Side to find out which Mikaelson sibling sired their bloodline. As soon as they arrive, Jeremy tries to meet up with a friend, but his friend turns out to be Kol who immediately starts beating Damon with a baseball bat. While they hide out and chat with Rose, Stefan gets stuck with Klaus supervising him as he tries to get Evilaric to tell him where the last white oak stake is. And while Matt and Rebekah decorate for the 1920s Decade Dance, Caroline spends the day with Tyler, who's finally back from breaking the sire bond. But of course, the Tyler-Caroline reunion is not the only romance plot of the episode. You already know what we're talking about: the ICONIC Delena motel scene. This week: Season 3 Episode 19 | Heart of Darkness Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Now that Stefan has Klaus's one weakness, his daggered family, he recruits Bonnie to hide the coffins in the haunted witch house. Klaus turns to his usual tactics of stalking, threatening, and murdering to get what he wants. As usual, the Gilbert family is on the receiving end of this and Stefan isn't willing to help. After witnessing a literal beheading on the front porch, Elena and Alaric become more concerned than ever about Jeremy. Finally, Tyler gets a much needed reality check that maybe doing everything his hybrid overlord says isn't as safe as he thought. This week: Season 3 Episode 10 | The New Deal Hosted on Acast. Ryan DeLena is currently studying at Northern Vermont University. He was pictured on the cover of Backcountry Ski Maps (2020) and has climbed and skied throughout the United States, and in Canada, Chile, Argentina, Svalbard, and Antarctica. Ryan is also a skilled rock climber and avid hiker. As a child, Ryan DeLena had difficulty controlling his emotions and was placed in therapeutic schools that relied on detrimental methods of behavior modification, such as physical restraint. Despite interventions from a team of doctors and heavy medication, nothing seemed to help. In 2010, Ryan was voluntarily committed to a mental hospital for further evaluation. His parents, Rob and Mary Beth, were counseled to place him in a group home, but they refused. Two years earlier, after an impulsive decision to take Ryan skiing, his father discovered a different child than the version experts were so sure about. By Ryan's second day of skiing, he was executing advanced runs. With each conquest in the winters that followed, his father began to question the path laid by the professionals paid to judge him. He later convinced Ryan's mother to fight the medical and educational complexes over Ryan's care and school placement. Together, they fostered the freedom Ryan needed to pursue his dream of becoming a professional ski mountaineer.Written in two voices, their book "Without Restraint" is a joint father-son memoir told with both pain and levity, struggle and strength, adventure and heart. It is the story of a misunderstood boy, a father's growth, and a shared love of the outdoors that formed their unbreakable bond.
Because we love you guys so much and wish we could make you all cohosts, we decided to turn the mic over to you and answer all of your questions about The Vampire Diaries! Your questions covered everything from whether we think Damon and Liz would have been a good ship to what we would change about the ending of the show to what we think of Bonnie's OBVIOUS stunt double in Season One. We even answered some questions about ourselves like what other shows we like and whether we prefer the Twilight soundtrack over the TVD soundtrack. Basically if you asked it, we answered it.Huge thank you to everyone who submitted questions and thank you to our 1K YouTube subscribers! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

With the werewolf bite getting worse, Damon is ready to give up, but of course, Stefan can't help but try to save him. The spirits in the old witch house reveal that Klaus will have the cure, so Stefan goes to strike a bargain while Alaric watches a sickly Damon. All goes well until Sheriff Forbes shows up with absolutely no plan and lets Damon out of the cellar. He immediately goes looking for Elena at the town square Gone with the Wind screening but finds Jeremy instead. Just as the two go into the Grill, Liz comes in, guns blazing, and shoots Jeremy, killing him. Bonnie and Alaric are determined to save him, so they take Jeremy's body back to the witch house to try a resurrection spell. With the Jeremy drama as a distraction, Damon escapes again, and as he's wandering through the square seeing visions of Katherine in 1864, Elena finds him and helps him get back to the Salvatore house. While Damon gets worse, Stefan tries to get Klaus to hand over the cure by chugging blood bags and embracing his true rippah self. Klaus finally agrees to let Katherine take his blood to Damon, and right before she arrives with the cure, Delena have so many tender moments and share their first kiss! So much to unpack now that Damon is going to survive, Jeremy is seeing the ghosts of girlfriends past, and Klaus has revealed his storage unit full of daggered Originals. But we'll get to that in Season 3.This week: Season 2 Episode 22 | As I Lay Dying Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

It's time for another Delena roadtrip episode! This time, Damon, Elena, and their third wheel, Alaric go to Duke to look through Isobel's research and see if Isobel has any information about werewolves. Poor Alaric, the vibes on the trip are so horrid since Elena obviously hasn't forgiven Damon for killing Jeremy like a day ago. Thankfully, the trip isn't a total bust, and the trio learns about the curse of the sun and the moon and that a werewolf bite is fatal to vampires. And wouldn't you know it, it's a full moon and Stefan and Caroline stopped by a party at the swimming hole on the Lockwood property. Mason, of course, turns with the moon, confirming he's a werewolf, and Stefan and Caroline have to avoid getting bit when they have a run in with him. This week: Season 2 Episode 3 | Bad Moon Rising Hosted on Acast. Later at the pageant, Damon tells Elena that Stefan is drinking human blood again, and Stefan loses control and basically kidnaps another pageant contestant. In a Study in the January 2022 issue of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America. The study found that, overall, 21.8 percent of U.S. children ages 3 to 17 have one or more of the common mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions assessed. For Ryan DeLena: “As a child, I had difficulty controlling my emotions and was placed in therapeutic schools that relied on detrimental methods of behavior modification such as physical restraint. Nothing helped from a team of doctors to heavy medication. Then in 2010, I was voluntarily committed to a mental hospital for further evaluation. My parents Rob and Mary Beth were counseled to place me in a group home. They refused. Two years earlier, after an impulsive decision to take my skiing, my dad discovered a different child than the version experts were so sure about. By my second day of skiing, I was executing advanced runs, and with each conquest in the winters that followed, my dad began to question the path laid by the professionals paid to judge me. He later convinced my mom to fight the medical and educational complexes over my care and school placement, and together they fostered the freedom I needed to pursue my dream of becoming a professional ski mountaineer. Written in two voices, our book Without Restraint is a joint father-son memoir told with both pain and levity, struggle and strength, adventure and heart. It is the story of a misunderstood boy, a father's growth, and a shared love of the outdoors that formed their unbreakable bond.” He joined me this week to tell me more. He later convinced Mary Beth to fight the medical and educational complexes over Ryan's care and school placement, and together they fostered the freedom Ryan needed to pursue his dream of becoming a professional ski mountaineer.Written in two voices, Without Restraint is a joint father-son memoir told with both pain and levity, struggle and strength, adventure and heart. It is the story of a misunderstood boy, a father's growth, and a shared love of the outdoors that formed their unbreakable bond.Support the show
Katherine really appears to be on her death bed, and everyone is ready to send her off! Damon starts drinking and projecting, definitely fueled by last week's potential Delena breakup, and everyone else is happy to join the blaming Katherine for our problems party. Except Stefan, who decides to be compassionate on her last day. This of course leads to the revelation he hooked up with Katherine, which paves the way for an even more exciting hookup! While Katherine lays dying, Nadia works on her plan to help her live on. And Katherine is nothing but a survivor, and this time Elena has to deal with the consequences... Elena has been kidnapped by Wes and brought to a new Augustine lab - which also happens to be the former clinic of her own father, Dr. Graysen Gilbert! Wes reveals his own scientific plans. We learn more about Graysen's Augustine research, which seems to keep boiling down to the fact that vampire blood heals humans. So why is he electrocuting people? Unclear. Meanwhile, Stefan and Damon kidnap Aaron who Wes honestly couldn't give a shit about. Wes lets Enzo out to reunite with Damon, and gives him an opportunity to monologue and fight. There seems to be a Delena breakup - but will it stick? Finally, we end with Katherine looking the closest to death she's ever looked - how will she get out of this one? Rob and Ryan DeLena are the co-authors of the Memoir Without Restraint: How Skiing Saved My Son's Life to be released in March of 2023. “As a child Ryan DeLena had difficulty controlling his emotional outbursts. This led to placement in therapeutic schools that relied on detrimental methods of behavior modification such as physical restraints. Nothing helped from a team of doctors to heavy medication. Then in 2010, Ryan was voluntarily committed to a mental hospital for further evaluation. His parents Rob and Mary Beth were counseled to place him in a group home. They refused… Written in two voices, Without Restraint is a joint father-son memoir told with both pain and levity, struggle and strength, adventure and heart. It is the story of a misunderstood boy, a father's growth, and a shared love of the outdoors that formed their unbreakable bond.” You'll hear both Ryan and Rob share their experiences with Therapeutic Schools in Massachusetts – getting both perspectives is powerful. As Mystic Falls mourns one icon, another icon is brought back to life and looking for answers! But she gets distracted by all the hot Stelena breakup drama she missed. Rebekah's timing could not be more perfect, as tensions are at their highest following Caroline snitching on Elena and Damon having sex. No one has fun at the school - Tyler has to turn, Shane dies (temporarily), and April nearly dies. Kol returns and has a fun day of torture shattered by the reveal that this is all for Silas, who he tells us is super scary. Meanwhile, Damon attempts to train Jeremy (and by extension, Matt) at the lake house, but Klaus is feeling a little frustrated by the pacing of the training. We end the episode with a Delena confession, a Stebekah hookup, and a whole bunch of new vampires! Remember to rate, review, and share, brothers! It's time again for Miss Mystic Falls! Our reigning Miss Mystic Caroline is leading the planning and she's ready to lead the main ship this time around: Klaroline! Delena who? Delena still has their time for most of the episode, before us stans get unexpectedly pushed back into the trenches. April Young competes in the pageant, but don't worry, her competition is weak and Shane is judging despite a substantial conflict of interest. Hayley and Tyler continue their plan to unsire hybrids, though we still don't know why Hayley cares so much? Meanwhile, Jeremy's hunter side is coming out in nightmares and Stefan accidentally makes it worse. And finally, we get a major twist that, as with all great twists, seems obvious in retrospect! Delusioni nelle serie tv? Dal finale Delena, a GOT, a Veronica Mars... ad altre scottanti delusioni. Le nomination agli Emmy e gli attori e le attrici ingiustamente non nominati. Che cosa sta succedendo in Riverdale? E molto altro.
This episode is about but five guys, and how they have been failing at the one thing they wanna do for about 900 years. Connor knows nothing, and unfortunately to learn about his history, he needs to hang out with Klaus. Stefan spends most of his day with Klaus and Rebekah, looking well-adjusted by comparison. Meanwhile, Bonnie heads to Whitmore College with Damon and Elena, where we meet the creepiest professor you can imagine (#notmyalaric), head to a frat party, and have a sexy Delena moment that Elena is NOT pleased about. We've been waiting for this one! While Stefan and Alaric try to hunt down the last white oak stake that Evilaric hid, Damon and Elena go on a trip to get Jeremy from Denver, and that won't be sexy at all. Jeremy of course found a way to cause problems in Denver, and the hunt for answers about the vampire bloodline that led to the Salvatores leads our heroes to a motel. Yes, motel and Delena! Meanwhile, Caroline starts planning the decade dance and Rebekah is ready to be involved, but of course she still misses her chance for a nice date and nice dance. We all know someone that's too clingy. Or we've had a partner that can't or won't express how they feel. But what you may not know, is that a person's emotional response in relationships is an attachment style that they developed in their first 18 months of life! Whether you're in marketing, sales, or leadership at a fintech, Delena has wisdom to share with us all. Have you had those moments with your kid that have left you feeling totally confused about what the right next step is?Parenting can feel stressful and downright overwhelming. Confusing, traumatizing, joyous, disappointing, and like the best thing we've ever done all in a matter of moments. All those emotions have messages and they often conflict with each other. If we don't sort through these emotions, or parts of ourselves that are showing up in this chapter of parenthood, we are sure to misstep and blow it somehow. This is why one of the most helpful things we can do as parents when we're working hard to support our trans kiddos is to get clear on what it is we're experiencing, and what we really need to do with it.As a society, we've done a pretty poor job of accurately learning and teaching each other how to integrate and embody our emotions with intention and understanding.Personally, I love emotions, and feelings and that's because I've made a career out of it, and have learned so much about myself in the process. I'm made up of all kinds of different parts. I'm complex, just like you.And just like my guest today, Delena Meyer.Delena Meyer wears a lot of hats. She is a mom, partner, and founder of Deviant Compassion Consulting, where her team helps people bring more compassionate humanity to their work.Today, Delena is going to talk with us about her youngest child, Oliver, and all the parts that came up or got activated as she and Oliver charted the path of transition.Check out the full episode to hear about:How part of Delena attached to a trauma narrative that made it difficult to process her son's coming outHow therapy for both Delena and Oliver helped them both delineate whose parts were being activatedHow they both use humor to soften sharp edges and confront hard things about themselves and each otherFind out more about Delena Meyer:Deviant Compassion ConsultingFind out more about Mackenzie Dunham:Wildheartsociety.orgwildheartsociety.org/downloadsWild Heart Society on FacebookWild Heart Society on InstagramResources:Triple PointCDC: Adverse Childhood ExperiencesNo Bad Parts: Healing Trauma and Restoring Wholeness with the Internal Family Systems Model, Richard SchwartzYou Are The One You've Been Waiting For, Richard Schwartz

We are off to the smoky mountains of Tennessee to see if we can turn the hybrid into the hybrids - the episode title gives us a clue about how that works (and if you missed that clue, maybe all of them crying blood was more clear). Elena, Ric, and Damon head to the woods to find Stefan who claims he doesn't want to be found but clearly does. Klaus continues to want Stefan around despite the fact that he's a downer - he even cures a werewolf bite, but why? Meanwhile, Tyler learns what vervain tastes like and teaches his mom a thing or to about his lifestyle as Caroline is chained up in a dungeon awaiting torture from a mysterious not-so-stranger.
