Since the first time Man planted a garden or fought a battle, weather has been vital to success and survival. The weather has famously decided wars. In some cases, weather has been the key factor in the rise and fall of whole Empires. Like many other contemporary real experts, today's guest, Jim Lee, is an independent researcher, in this case, into weather modification.   Why Weather Matters   George Washington avoided surrendering his army in the Battle of Long Island by deceiving the British about his movements and then withdrawing 9,000 men, supplies, and cannons overnight and into the next morning across the East River while a fog miraculously provided cover. If that Providential escape had failed, the War of Independence could have ended.   Napoleon attacked Imperial Russia as winter arrived and was soundly defeated by both poor planning and the vicious cold, decimating the French army, which had over 100,000 men captured, 380,000 dead, and only 27,000 returning to France.   Decades later, despite France's failure in 1812, Hitler's army tried attacking the Soviet Union during World War II and managed to hang on with brutal tactics until winter arrived and the Germans were soundly defeated. Many of the German survivors who managed to make it back to Germany alive were badly disfigured by frostbite, which had claimed noses, eyelids, fingers, and toes. The Germans also murdered over 1 million civilian Soviet Jews during the invasion. The German army troops captured over 5 million Soviet troops and deliberately starved over 3.3 million Soviet prisoners of war in brutal disregard for the established rules of war. Despite the most savage and determined fighting, the weather heavily influenced the failure of the German assault upon the Soviet Union.   Any effective military will invest whatever it can to predict, manage, and manipulate weather systems.   More recently, during the Vietnam War, the US seeded clouds over the Ho Chi Min trail in order to mire down enemy North Vietnamese soldiers from moving South.   Growing Concern About Abuses of Weather Control in the US   Many concerns have arisen that Earth's weather is being manipulated in ways harmful to the citizenry and the economy. The hurricane that hit the Hawaiian Island of Maui and the accompanying firestorm that devastated the town of Lahaina in 2023 with grave loss of life and destruction of the community appeared very suspicious. Hurricane Helene and then Milton chewed up Florida and demolished Southeastern Appalachia communities in North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. Have behaved in unusual ways and produced unusual and shockingly high amounts of damage and loss of life. Many citizens have questioned what aspects of the storms may have been “enhanced” or manipulated. The lack of official assistance being provided to survivors of these devastating events has understandably increased suspicion.   The federal government has done nothing to alleviate citizen concerns; instead, it has encouraged censorship through social media. The usual claims of conspiracy theory have been lobbed against anyone raising these questions, but as it turns out, citizens are asking very good questions.   Government Censorship   The federal government censors and curtails information and public discussion on subjects like weather manipulation. For a good review of the state of government censorship in the world today, listen to the Joe Rogan interview with Mike Benz that aired this month. The federal government funds, coordinates, and gives orders to its own branches and federal agencies and to non-government organizations (NGOs), nonprofits, universities, and others to censor and eliminate free speech. There are literally hundreds of thousands of hired individuals manipulating the truth as hired guns through traditional news outlets, social media, university outlets, book publishers, and scientific journals.   Weather Modification, Inc.   The absurdity of these government denials was recently highlighted by a photo of a plane on TikTok with a large corporate logo across its fuselage that said, “Weather Modification, International.” The Weather Modification International website was surprisingly empty, but when I checked the web archive for earlier versions, I found that their website started being stripped of data in early 2020. The 2019 archive offered a more robust introduction to the company. Turns out, Weather Modification Inc. has been operating since its founding in 1961 by two farmers/pilots. As of 2019, the company had grown to almost 40 aircraft and 100 personnel. Here is a screenshot of the 2019 “Who We Are” web page.     Weather Modification, Incorporated has been in business since 1961. Their current website declares:   “When most people look up they see clouds. WE SEE POTENTIAL.” About us: Now, more than ever, the worldwide need for solutions to atmospheric necessities such as water resource management and environmental quality monitoring, is critical. With nearly a half-century of successful programs, our experience speaks for itself.   Let us help you better manage your atmospheric and water resources.   In the archive, Weather Modification Inc. had a very robust and international list of governmental, military, academic, and private clients. The client list for the United States included the US Department of Defense (DOD), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and its National Hurricane Center, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, several state cloud seeding or weather modification programs, and more. They also have a number of international government clients.   Our Guest Today, Jim Lee   Despite censorship and other barriers, some intrepid truth-tellers have been collecting and revealing the discovered facts and information concerning both the details of weather manipulation and how it has now been weaponized against U.S. citizens, against all moral and legal limitations.   One of these truth-tellers is today's guest, Jim Lee. He has devoted his work to “separating fact from fiction regarding geoengineering, pollution, privacy, and propaganda in an easy-to-understand way.”   Jim Lee has been gathering and sharing news regarding weather manipulation since 2012. He has gathered and published a collection of historical evidence and news about weather modification that I believe is unmatched anywhere else. His goals are to “enact changes in laws worldwide to bring transparency and accountability for weather modification and geoengineering experiments.” The interview with Jim Lee makes clear that there is nothing conspiratorial about weather modification except the government's attempts to hide it from the public.     His historical Weather Modification History internet collection of thousands of news articles going back more than 100 years is a masterpiece in organization and research. In addition to the screenshots of the media articles, each is linked to the full version of the article, offering an unprecedented review of the history of documented weather management and manipulation.   Lee's accompanying climate viewer maps website is his most remarkable feat, inviting visitors to explore weather issues in depth. His maps are gorgeous.   Jim Lee has directly addressed what he calls the “pseudoscience, fear-porn, clickbait, and the facts” surrounding Helene and Milton. He concludes that proving federal or any other attempts to modify the hurricanes cannot be done but that seeding with chemicals or mechanical devices is possible but there is no data to prove it in this case.   Jim Lee examines in detail on his website why radar or HAARP involvement is impossible, explaining:   First of all, HAARP was not on during either of these storms. If you want to learn more about HAARP and the three ionospheric heaters worldwide, check out my page on Space Weather Modification. You can tell when HAARP is on simply by checking HAM radio or WebSDR and tuning into 2.8 to 10 MHz. It was not.   That leaves NEXRAD Doppler radar, aka WSR-88D. Can a NEXRAD radar alter a hurricane? NO! Why? It's all about the numbers. NEXRAD can produce a peak of 750,000 watts with an average power of around 1300 watts. Let's compare that to a hurricane:   7,000,000,000,000,000 watts or joules/second. 7 quadrillion watts vs 750,000 watts. You do the math.   There is a great deal of old-fashioned weather modifications through seeding and chemtrails (pollution in the sky whether as a byproduct of exhaust or deliberately produced) that have resulted in changing conditions for some of our most fertile and fruitful farmlands turning them from abundant crop producers to wastelands. That alone–the loss of millions of acres of cropland—and the bounty they produce, is alarming enough to warrant our direct attention.   Were the recent hurricanes manipulated by seeding clouds in some way? Lee says, “There isn't evidence.” There are disagreements within the freedom network about this point, but Lee says he and colleagues looked for any airplane traffic, but there was none. So, unless there were undiscovered spy planes with their identifying transponders turned off, there was no manipulation.   There is confirmation of weather modification and manipulation that has now clearly been directed at our own United States citizens and their productivity. Our guest, Jim Lee, tells us about how these practices are used by governments, federal and sometimes state, as well as by private industries. Reasons for manipulating weather vary and include efforts to increase or decrease rainfall and water tables through snow melt and to encourage greater amounts of snow for ski season. Managing rainfall to perfect the growing and harvesting of crops is also attempted.   One of the most serious aspects of climate manipulation is the tolerance shown and lack of measurement of nanoparticles that are spewed into the upper atmosphere by global air traffic.   Listen to us today as we learn so much more about how heavily and capriciously our weather is manipulated, the risks this presents, and what we can do to protect ourselves and our world.   Jim Lee and his marvelous websites can all be found at Connect with ClimateViewer and Weather Modification History. Today we're heading back over to Southeast Asia to join our roving reporter Nikki as she travels the world during the low seasons. What does it mean to be an eco-friendly hotel? Sadly the tourism business is flooded with green-washing. On major booking sites, many hotels and resorts simply compile a tick list without necessarily giving any proof of their environmental credentials. As we've discussed several times on the Climate Friendly Travel Podcast, being truly green means more than asking guests to re-use their towels.   This week Nikki meets Duc Bui who is relatively new to the hotel business having spent a decade working as a civil engineer before buying the Amanaki Hotel, a 43 room boutique hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh. He's one of a small number of Vietnamese hoteliers trying to make a positive change in Vietnam. Nikki Morrison has been exploring the Low Seasons for us on her own Low Season Adventure, you can hear the hum of the city as she chats to Duc about the challenges of trying to bring an environmental awareness to a country like Vietnam. And you can learn more about The Amanaki Hotel by visiting https://www.amanakihotels.com/ But That's our show for this week. FWEP0001  Do not be fooled by Genecia's impeccable appearance. Have been crowned as Miss Singapore and Miss Singapore International, many are quick to think Genecia was born with a silver spoon. However, behind this beautiful face there is a hardworking and self-sacrificing woman in power. This young lady had it all, but easy. As a teenager she was forced to put herself through her education by teaching an array of wellness classes such as: yoga, aerobics and line dancing. These years of hardship molded her and lead her to become the founder of Soul Rich Woman, where she educates and elevates women to realize their highest power.Interviewer: Elena CardoneThe architect behind many of Grant Cardone Enterprises' ventures, Elena is an experienced business woman, entrepreneur and investor with her and Grant's influence felt with Cardone Capital which is closing in on 5,000 units under management with a real estate portfolio valued at $1 billion.Connect with Elena Cardone: https://elenacardone.com/about/FWEP0001 Not Everything Is As It Seems - Women in Power Singapore with Genecia Alluora In this episode, let me encourage you as a former Miss Singapore and Southeast Asia Woman of Excellence in 2010; and founder of Soul Rich Woman, the number one female entrepreneur network in Southeast Asia that connects more than 12,000 women across the region, with presence in 7 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia.  Self-SupportingAt an early age of 14 I have learned to face challenges and took on responsibilities due to life's circumstances.(3:33)“A lot of people thought that when I was Ms. Singapore they think that I was born with a silver spoon. But it did not start that way I had to support myself through school since I was 14 years old, teaching Yoga, aerobics and line dancing through my school years so I put myself through college I put myself  through university so it was really tough.” Financial CrisisDue to a financial crisis, I had to step up and think of ways to support myself and my family. I had to do sacrifices to make it through in life.(4:06)“At that time my dad lost everything due to the financial crisis. (4:20) Because of that I had to come up and do my own stuff and I think that has really molded me through my years and then after that I became an occupational therapist. (4:53) Back then I was the youngest instructor in Singapore and then I went on to do classes but it was not easy because when I'm seeing other girls doing things in their free time they are going to the movie, going for shopping and then I'm working after school.” Empowering WomenWhat I experienced during my teenage years gave me a better perspective on influence and how it can be used to empower others.(5:47) “I've come along way with my experiences, now it's time to share and shortcut other woman's journey and empower others because empowered women empower others.(6:45) After that I took on these skills, I went on to coach and mentor many women to transform their confidence from being ugly duckling to be more confident and become the better version of themselves.”  The motivation to changeAs I moved up the ladder and gained success, I realized I needed more freedom and not be bound by time and money.(6:56)“Because I went through that transformation myself too. That movement actually gave me the confidence to do more in my life. In 2012-2013 I told myself I'm no longer going to trade time for money because as an image consultant you work you get paid when you stop working you don't get paid. So I said I want to move this online.”  Process of growthYou need to expand and broaden your horizons to progress in life. You need to invest in yourself too.(7:21) “So I went through a process seeking mentors, looking for coaches to coach me on the process spent hundreds and thousands of dollars looking for resources to grow my knowledge. (7:38)I worked my way up then I took my vision of helping more women to be more confident and then I started a platform called “You are possible academy” because I launched my own book in 2013, it's about personal branding then after that I went online.”  A heart for womenDespite the success that I attained there was still something missing, I felt like I wasn't where I was supposed to be.(8:25) “During this whole period my heart has always been with the women even though I was doing the retail business. It was tough, because there was a calling at the back of my head like “Genecia you gotta do this” you can't just give up the women and just do a coffee retail chain. Move up and do more.” Stepping stone (11:15) “You know back then, I was bullied I was really bullied by mean girls in school. You know I was poor, I really didn't  have any money to change my bag or even to change my clothes besides my school clothes.”I faced the roadblocks in my life. From adjusting to our family's financial situation to being bullied at school and doing jobs while studying. These situations could have hindered me, but instead of viewing them as stumbling blocks I used them as stepping stones to reaching my dreams.  Key Takeaways:  Success is not determined by financial status. Life's changes should not stop you from pursuing your dreams. Keep learning, keep growing. Do not give up on what you are most passionate about. Roadblocks are stepping stones. Elena currently hosts her own show, Women in Power and cohosts the G and E show with her husband Grant Cardone, who is also the best-selling author, entrepreneur, and real estate investor. Together they have created a real estate portfolio of almost $1 billion. Elena has been happily married since 2004, July 4 to be exact, in their lives with her husband Grant and their two daughters Sabrina and Scarlett in Miami Beach. Elena came to Singapore together with Grant over a week and they were here to speak at the National Achievers Congress. Someone introduced us and we became friends and got me in for her interview as one of her guests. And in return, I also interviewed her as well on her story. So do take a listen. I hope you enjoyed these episodes.[00:02:23]Speaker 3: Welcome to this week's episode of Women Empower. Today, I have Ms. Genecia Alluora. She is Woman Empower Singapore. She has won Miss Singapore and Miss Singapore International. She represents Singapore not only once, but twice. Who does that? This woman, that's who. She also founded and is the creator of Soul Rich Woman Asia. And she connects about 200,000 plus women in the entrepreneurial space and really educates and elevates and motivates women to represent themselves at the highest level. So, without further ado, thank you so much for being on the show. It is such an honor and a pleasure to meet you.[00:03:12]Speaker 4: Thank you for having me on your show.[00:03:14]Speaker 3: It is wonderful to have you. So, okay, bring me back so my audience can understand. Have you always just been this successful go getter type woman or was this something you developed? How were you raised?[00:03:30]Speaker 4: Well, a little bit of my back story. A lot of people thought that when I was Miss Singapore, they think that I'm born with a silver spoon.[00:03:38]Speaker 3: That's what everyone would think. Looking at you, you looked so beautiful and so together and so intelligent. It's like, okay.[00:03:45]Speaker 4: Well, it didn't start that way. I had to support myself through school since I was 14 years old, teaching yoga, aerobics and line dancing through my school years. So I put myself through college. I put myself through University. So it was really tough.[00:04:01]Speaker 3: So why did you have to support yourself at 14 most?[00:04:05]Speaker 4: Well, at that time, my dad lost everything due to the financial crisis.[00:04:10]Speaker 3: Was this in 2008?[00:04:13]Speaker 4: Way back more.[00:04:15]Speaker 3: Way back more. Okay, well, you're way young to me.[00:04:17]Speaker 4: Okay. Yeah. And because of that, I had to come out and do my own stuff. And I think that has really molded me through my years. And then after that, I became an occupational therapist.[00:04:31]Speaker 5: Wow.[00:04:32]Speaker 4: Yes.[00:04:32]Speaker 3: So at 14, when the crash happened, your father lost everything. Did he say you have to go to work or was this now an initiative that you took on your own?[00:04:42]Speaker 4: My mom kicked my ass. She pawned her gold, her jewelry to give me the money to do the certification as an instructor. So back then, I was the youngest instructor in Singapore, and then I went on to do classes. But it was not easy because when I'm seeing other girls doing things in their free time, they are going to the movies, going for shopping, and then I'm working after school. So can you imagine waking up 05:00 a.m. in the morning to go to school?[00:05:12]Speaker 3: Not at 14.[00:05:13]Speaker 4: And then 12:00 p.m. 1, you finish class after that project work, you finish about 4, and after that I rest for about an hour, take a quick nap, and I rush for classes back to back from 07:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.. Wow. And by the time I reach home, I'm really exhausted. And that went on for many years.[00:05:34]Speaker 3: So that's what I call the sacrifice phase, which you probably didn't appreciate at the time. [00:05:38]Oh, I totally hated it. [00:05:40]You hated sacrifice phase. Are you now glad that you did sacrifice phase?[00:05:45]Speaker 4: Yes, definitely. Because I've come a long way and I have experiences. Now, it's time to share and shortcut other women's journey and empower others. Because empowered women empower others.[00:05:59]Speaker 5: Right. And so, when you finally got to this point in your life where you feel like, was it just an urge? Where you felt like, now it's my responsibility to help fast track other women, what point was that? Was it like a certain amount of money you made? Or when were you like, okay, I now know how to take care of myself, I want to branch out and help others now.[00:06:23]Speaker 4: In 2006, I won miss Singapore and I became an image consultant. And that because of my experience teaching and training and coaching. Having the extra skill set was quite easy for me to move forward. My clientele grew. They were CEOs of companies, directors of companies, as well as politicians here in Singapore. After that, I took on this skill and I went on to coach and mentor many women to transform their confidence from being an ugly duckling to a more confident version of themselves. So because I went through that transformation myself too, that movement actually gave me the confidence to do more in my life. In 2012, 2013, I told myself, I'm no longer going to trade time for money. Because as an image consultant, you work, you get paid. You work, you get paid, you work, you get paid. When you stop working, you don't get paid. So I said, you know what? I want to move this online. How can I go online? So I went through a process seeking mentors, looking for coaches to coach me on the process. Spent hundreds and thousands of dollars looking for resources to grow my knowledge.[00:07:31]Speaker 3: So you invested on yourself?[00:07:33]I invested in myself. [00:07:34]How did you have hundred and thousand of dollars?[00:07:36]I saved over the years.[00:07:37]Speaker 5: Wow.[00:07:37]Speaker 4: I worked my way up, and then from there, I took my vision of helping more women to be more confident. And then I started a platform called you are Possible Academy because I launched my own book in 2013. It's about personal branding. Then after that, I went to I went online. Right. That's when I make my first pot of gold.[00:08:01]Speaker 5: Wow. The first pot of gold[00:08:02]Speaker 4: Across my first pot of gold was when I make my first million dollars.[00:08:08]Speaker 3: Wow.[00:08:08]Speaker 4: And then I invested and started a cafe retail chain. We were in three countries singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia.[00:08:17]Speaker 5: Wow.[00:08:18]Speaker 4: And then we had seven outlets. We exited to a public listed company owner just recently.[00:08:24]Speaker 5: Wow.[00:08:24]Speaker 4: During this whole period, my heart has always been with the women. Even though I was doing retail business and it was tough, and I was called to this it's just like calling the back of my head. It's like, Genecia, you got to do you got to do this. You can't just give up the women and just do a cafe retail chain. You got to move up and do more. So during the time I was based in Indonesia for two years, running the caffe retail chain with my franchisee. I do online. I did webinars, I did online programs. I launched my membership program.[00:08:59]Speaker 3: Are you confident the whole time? Are you scared, like the first webinar you did or you're like, is this going to be a disaster? Do you ever have self doubt or is it just you just go in positive the whole way?[00:09:10]Speaker 4: It was tough because you didn't know how many audience were there. In fact, when I first switched on my webcam and used Google Hangouts back in 2013, there was zero viewers. You know.[00:09:20]I love that. [00:09:22]And it grew from one to ten and then to the first hundred. And that's how You Are Possible Academy grew. Subsequently, the women.[00:09:30]Speaker 3: How long did it take to grow?[00:09:31]Speaker 4: About three years. And I did about 1000 webinars probably every week. I did one every week. Wednesday at 09:00 p.m..[00:09:41]Speaker 3: They're free webinars.[00:09:42]Speaker 4: Free webinars.[00:09:43]Speaker 3: How would you think about the branding?[00:09:45]Speaker 4: Branding. How do you do funnels, marketing, automation? How do you become more confident?[00:09:50]Speaker 3: How long are they?[00:09:52]Speaker 4: By an hour.[00:09:53]Speaker 5: Good. Eleven.[00:09:54]Speaker 4: Okay. And then I kind of moved all these things online, and the women started to come in, and then they said, Genecia, can you not put your possible academy? Because Singapore's education system has so tuned us to, like, in school. So the women in my community feedback to me and said, Genecia, you got to choose a better name.[00:10:14]Speaker 3: No, they're not like, impossible.[00:10:17]Speaker 4: They don't like the name academy. They want something a little bit more, like, with depth and, like, with the inner academy.[00:10:24]Speaker 3: They don't like academy.[00:10:25]Speaker 4: They do like academy. I said, okay, let's do a rebranding. So in 2015, I did a rebranding. It's called Soul Rich Woman because all women have a soul. It's rich, wealthy, and we shine when we have confidence from within. So Soul Rich Woman.[00:10:41]Speaker 3: Okay, love this so far. If you said you went through the transformation yourself, were you an ugly duckling?[00:10:51]Speaker 5: No.[00:10:52]Speaker 4: Yeah, I was.[00:10:53]Speaker 3: Okay, so how does an ugly duckling, which is very difficult for me to buy, by the way, but I'm going to I'm going to buy because I have no reason to believe it would lie to me. But how does an ugly duckling go to Miss Singapore and Miss Singapore International. How did you even know you had it within you in the first place?[00:11:14]Speaker 4: You knew back then, I was bullied. I was really bullied by mean girls in school.[00:11:19]Speaker 3: Wow.[00:11:19]Speaker 4: You know, I was poor. I really didn't have any money to change my bags or even to change my clothes because I had the school clothes. So the mean girls would come to me, you know, PE lessons, what we call physical activities. They will pull my shirt, and then you'll pool open, and then they will see my bra, and they're like, oh, you're wearing the same bra again, like that. And there were times they took my school bag, and then he threw it across the classroom floor, and my books will be all over the floor, and you're like that. So myself. And things took a dip. But you see, I started when I was 14, and I told myself that whatever my family situation, maybe I'm not going to give up.[00:12:01]Speaker 5: Right?[00:12:02]Speaker 4: Yeah. So I took on.[00:12:06]Speaker 3: Did you feel that is the fuel to become determined to make it?[00:12:10]Speaker 4: I knock on doors and say, would you be willing to coach me in my public speaking? I knock on doors. Would you be open to willing to coach me on my image? Would you be willing to train me to walk and have good department? And that was when all these people, what they call the guardians, and people who really helped me and coached me, mentored me to become Miss Singapore.[00:12:34]Speaker 5: Wow.[00:12:34]Speaker 3: And what did that feel like, being crowned Miss Singapore?[00:12:39]Speaker 4: It was life changing, really, once in a lifetime opportunity, because for someone like me, it was a way out. And definitely it allowed me to travel the world. Since then, I've traveled more than what, 10-20 countries, 50 cities because of my title, Miss Singapore. It has given me so much privilege.[00:13:01]Speaker 3: Do people know who you are when you walk on the street?[00:13:04]Speaker 4: Yes. During that time, yes. But now, because I've taken a backseat, more focused on developing the platform Soul Rich Woman, so not so much in the front light, but fronting more on the business lines.[00:13:16]Speaker 3: So when you were crowned Miss Singapore knowing that you had been bullied, that you're the girl that has to go and chase your books around, how do you now wear this crown and now transition from feeling a certain way as that girl to now all of a sudden, people think that you're just that new girl, that new image. Don't you still have the same insecurities as the previous girl? And then what do you do? How do you transition into that life? You just kind of acknowledge them and move forward anyway.[00:13:48]Speaker 4: I'm very blessed to be Miss Singapore. Really, doors open for me, there were transformational causes that changed my life. I invested in myself, went for many, many different courses. In fact, in 2007, I went to Taiwan for a year and took on multiple transformational healing courses to let go of my past, my anger, my hatred, whatever, feelings that all women sometimes have a tendency to hold and play again, like a broken record. So I stopped completely on that, and my life completely flew from there. So it was kind of like a stepping stone.[00:14:28]Speaker 3: Do you feel like or maybe you don't even think about this question, but do you think Asian women have the same advantages as the Western society, culture, Americans, Europeans? Or do you think we're equal, or one has more than the other?[00:14:46]Speaker 4: I believe all women have the same rights, they have same opportunities, same things that have been given to us. However, at the end of the day, Asia is a different animal. We have Vietnam, we are in Malaysia, just race alone. We have different races, and in different races, we have different culture and dialects. And that different permutations because Soul Rich Woman is in Southeast Asia. We're in seven countries, and we're connecting almost 200,000 women across this region. And just alone when we travel to different countries, we have to be a little bit different because women at different phase of their life. Say, for example, when we went to Vietnam in Hanoi, the women in Hanoi versus women in Ho Chi Min are quite different. Women in Hanoi are a little bit more, they told me that they were stigmatized if they were to give up their jobs and go into entrepreneurship. Soul Rich Woman first went to Hanoi in Vietnam, we made a mistake. We didn't know. We were like, oh, you must do a business, have a side hustle. Let's build your empire.[00:15:54]Speaker 3: Right, right.[00:15:55]Speaker 4: And then they said, oh, no, but Genecia, this is not the culture here. Hanoi and Ho Chi Min are two different breeds of women.[00:16:02]Speaker 5: Wow.[00:16:02]Speaker 4: So that's when we learned, we said, oh, then what do you girls need? They say, we need more confidence in our daily lives to stand up for ourselves, to own our power, not just being a housewife and being a working person, but really be able to chase our dreams. That has been swept under the carpet for a very long time. So that was what we did in Hanoi. So that is why in different countries we do different things. Like in Malaysia, women are sighted for two main reasons why they are not able to step out because fear of failure and lack of support from family members. So that's why communities are so important. And that's why in Malaysia, we are also very strong. We have about 500 or 10 members over there. Wow. Supporting each other on your entrepreneurship journey.[00:16:51]Speaker 3: So what do you tell the woman who's struggling maybe with a cultural issue they want to step out, but they're not supported by their family and they don't have the confidence yet to do it, despite of or maybe they don't want to do it because they don't want to lose the respect or that's a toughy situation.[00:17:13]Speaker 4: Really tough.[00:17:14]Speaker 3: Did they come to you for advice? And if they do, what do you tell these women?[00:17:18]Speaker 4: So these women needed more confidence in looking at their dreams and finding the time to love themselves most. Because I find that the key to success for all women is self love. Only when you are able to love yourself, that's when you can give. But most women are empty vessels because they give their kids, they give their husbands, they give to household chores, they give to everything else but forgetting the self love is they key.[00:17:45]Speaker 3: And if they did that first, there would be more for the other.[00:17:48]Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right. Their cup is so full and overflowing.[00:17:52]Speaker 3: Yeah.[00:17:53]Speaker 5: Oh wow. That's awesome.[00:17:56]Speaker 3: And this Soul Rich Woman, what's your proudest success story that's come out of that? Do women tell you that she came from blah blah, blah and then went to what's a good transformational story that really said, I'm on the right path with this.[00:18:16]Speaker 5: Wow. I have heard hundreds of stories.[00:18:16]Speaker 4:  That make it all worth it, right?[00:18:21]Speaker 5: Yeah.[00:18:22]Speaker 4: I think a lot of the women, the main thing amongst all female entrepreneurs, the key thing is always about the C word, which is confidence. But most importantly is the F word.[00:18:35]Speaker 3: The F word. I couldn't wait to talk to you about the F word. She has the F word. You want to tell them what it is?[00:18:42]Speaker 4: Yes. For women who love the F word, being fabulous, having freedom and financial independence.[00:18:50]Speaker 3: Okay, but first of all, does the F word translate as it does in America?[00:18:57]Speaker 4: We have the F word here.[00:18:58]Speaker 3: I say the F word.[00:19:02]Speaker 4: Just joking. But definitely for us, when I talk about the F word, why, I talk about financial independence and not financial freedom. Because the difference  is financial freedom. Of course, you are free to do everyone, probably you have passive income. But for a lot of women, when you're first starting out, how do you even first make a dollar? How do you first even make a first thousand dollars if you're a stay at home mom?[00:19:27]Speaker 5: Right.[00:19:28]Speaker 4: How are you balance that?[00:19:30]Speaker 3: If you hadn't had education, you don't know what you want to do. You don't know what you're good at.[00:19:34]Speaker 4: Yeah, precisely. So you have to start somewhere. So if you are able to earn a $1,000 every single month, passively or online, through online businesses, can you imagine what life will change? You could buy the extra dress for your daughter.[00:19:48]Speaker 3: And is this financial freedom?[00:19:50]Speaker 4: This is more financial independence. That's why I said we want to focus on helping women to be more financially independent. They could be receiving some money from their husbands, that's fine. But could they do something more for themselves? And because of that extra money that they have on hand, they could be more independent to make choices for themselves.[00:20:09]Speaker 3: So let me ask you this. If they go for the financial independence and let's say they have the side job, they're selling makeup on the side online, but they're not neglecting any of their responsibilities as a wife, a mother, or whatever they agreed upon. So this income, does it go to the household or should it be hers or does that not matter? Separate or together?[00:20:32]Speaker 4: And it will be her decision. But what I usually see is women usually keep it and hold it for emergency or things that they are always wanted to do. You see, we women must have a voice.[00:20:44]Speaker 3: I'm the same way. I have our money and then I have my money.[00:20:48]Speaker 4: My money.[00:20:48]Speaker 3: But he has no problem with us having our money, and he has no problem with me having my money. And I love that. I feel really blessed in that area. I'm like, thank you. I don't know what it is in my brain that needs my little thing.[00:21:02]Speaker 4: Yeah. Because we need to make our own choices. And that's when we feel like we have a choice to choose whether we want to give you the money or we give our family the money or I give my own dreams the money.[00:21:14]Speaker 3: To reinvest in yourself. Because when I've heard you say a number of times in this interview.[00:21:19]Speaker 4: Yes. In fact, finding a mentor is why we created Soul Rich Woman was to help women to go from offline to online to be more confident and more customers make a positive impact in the world. If you can't even have a say in what you want to do and be always a victim of your own circumstances, then I'm here to kick some ass, you know, and really to get out of your comfort zone and go towards the dreams that you always wanted to achieve. So that is why being fabulous, having freedom and financial independence is so important.[00:21:57]Speaker 3: Yes. And this is what's brought you kind of, like, alive. I see it in you. It's your passion. And you want this for other women. [00:22:03]Speaker 4: Yeah, I do, too. [00:22:05]Speaker 3: I feel like happy, empowered women or that have the confidence in themselves, they have no need to try to destroy another woman, try to throw their books across the hall, because that came from something. Those girls have a problem. A happy woman or girl does not treat other people like that. You know what I'm saying? So it's like the more that a woman can help herself and find her own confidence, the more she just wants to help and love and nurture other people. I believe it's innately in us.[00:22:37]Speaker 4: That's right. Yeah, that's very true. In fact, I really believe that alone you are strong, together we are unstoppable.[00:22:46]Speaker 3: I say the same thing in this book, build an empire. I say I was raised to believe that I had to do everything by myself. Like, I had to be Miss Independent. Miss Independent. And I tried so hard, and I could only get, like, this far. And it just so happened that when I got together with my husband and that I actually started to depend on somebody else and trust somebody else, and then from there, we added to the team and grew. And now we have staff and people that help us and build. But there is no you're doing it on your own. No empire has ever been built on your own. It takes a team. It takes a village.[00:23:23]Speaker 4: Yes. When a woman is empowered, the whole village benefits.[00:23:26]Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with that. Because she wants the best for everyone.[00:23:29]Speaker 5: That's right.[00:23:29]Speaker 3: Because she knows ultimately it's going to benefit herself and everyone involved.[00:23:34]Speaker 4: Yes. So when we empower one, we touch a life that one will pass on to the other. So we actually have a mentoring program for girls under 30. So this we actually have cash sponsorships from different women who are more wealth to do. So, they gave us their cash sponsorships, and they gave us so we fund this entire program in Singapore, where we help underprivileged girls, where they don't have those opportunities to learn skills beyond education, which is just the books and the four walls in school.[00:24:05]Speaker 3: Kind of like you.[00:24:06]Speaker 4: Yes. And then help them to give them an opportunity to because not everybody can be Miss Singapore let's put it this way. Can we give them a skill? Because when you give them a skill everyone can be an entrepreneur.[00:24:14]Speaker 3: Because everyone can be an entrepreneur.[00:24:17]Speaker 4: Everyone can be an entrepreneur.[00:24:18]Speaker 3: I believe I do, too.[00:24:19]Speaker 4: Yeah. So, through this program, we want to equip this girl's skill so they can start early. Why do you have to wait till you graduate?[00:24:29]Speaker 3: Why do you have to wait till you went through the whole decade or whatever it wants to figure it out. You figured it out. Here the here's the don't let you go.[00:24:37]Speaker 4: Why do you have to wait until you get married and have kids and then after a failed marriage, and then you come to me and then you say, Genecia, I need help. Why do you have to go through that? Can we shorten it?[00:24:47]Speaker 3: Yes. That's what I wrote this book for. I want to fast track the process .[00:24:51]Speaker 4: Precisely.[00:24:53]Speaker 3: Yes. So can you tell my viewers, can my viewers in America join Soul Rich Woman?[00:24:57]Speaker 4: Yes, you can help. So we definitely need help here in Southeast Asia. We need time, we need resources, and we also need cash, sponsorships. So time, if you are a volunteer, you can volunteer, with us to be let's say you have a skill that you want to share as an entrepreneur. You want to teach funnels. You want to teach how to overcome their mindset. We welcome you if you have resources, like a venue. So we work with people like Facebook, Mercedes-Benz. These are like partners who give us their resources so that we can bring the community together. And that makes a lot of difference.[00:25:30]Speaker 5: Right?[00:25:30]Speaker 4: So venue, if you have resources, like. A jet, for example.[00:25:32]Speaker 3:Girls we've done that.[00:25:36]Speaker 4: Girls who are underprivileged have never had a chance to do all these things. Right? And then if you have cash and money to help us as well, to fund the project to give girls because we want to buy them good things, we want to support the program, we want to give some trainers who help us pro bonu fees, right? We can't expect everyone to do for free because there is some sustainability within the platform itself. Right? So, yes, I took up my part of goal, which is my cafe retail chain. We exited a public listed company. I took out all my money and invested into the platform. So it has to succeed.[00:26:12]Speaker 3: It will succeed.[00:26:14]Speaker 4: There's no other option. It's like the way and the only way.[00:26:17]Speaker 3: And where can people like, if someone wanted to say, okay, I have $100, I have $1,000, I have 10,000, how do they reach you? Or how do they offer their time or their service?[00:26:27]Speaker 4: You can go to be.soulrichwann.com, which is b,e, dot, soulrichwoman. S-O-U-L-R-I-C-H-W-O-M-A-N Woman. Yeah .com.[00:26:41]Speaker 3: Okay. That's awesome. Okay, so before we wrap up, on our last note, what would be a 14 year old self if you had one piece of advice for her? When that backpack went across the wall, the books went and you just I'm sure you probably had a lump in your throat trying to hold back tears, what would you have told that you are now? What would you have told that little girl.[00:27:06]Speaker 4: Your past that's not equal to your future?[00:27:11]Speaker 3: Wow, that's heavy. All these women of the world made me so emotional. I've never cried on Women in Power before. I interviewed this woman last week in Dubai and she made me cry. And now you make me cry. You're so amazing. I cannot thank you enough for coming on this show. You made me cry to exposing this part of the world. And it's so amazing to me. That what I'm finding on my journey around the globe and meeting the women of the world, that we all want the same thing. We all want to help each other, not only ourselves, men as well. Cities and Memory - remixing the sounds of the world

"Travelling to me have always been something positive, the excitement and anticipation building up to the travel almost make worth the whole trip. As it is for many people I find that to travel by train is also something extra, there is perhaps something with the way of travelling close to the ground, the speed that is just right, and the possibility to move around in the train that makes it stand out. Trains embodies the dream to move, to enrich ourselves and to become better.   "Lately, however, all forms of travelling have brought with it something of a bad consciousness in us all since all forms of travelling comes with an environmental debt, making at least me feel slightly guilty every time I travel. The sound of a train station as in this composition is therefore kind of nostalgic to me, something that I hear and remember with fondness.   "On the other hand, trains are perhaps one of the least environmentally destructive ways of moving, making it the future of travelling. In a way this work is also hopeful. "Another aspect of this particular piece is that since it keeps a meditative tone throughout, and I find it increasingly important to retain that kind of sonic quality in cities. It is, I think, dangerous to build cities without thought to how they sound. Too many cities keep the focus on, say, car traffic or make room for noisy commercials or the like. Too few cities have room for though, and room for hearing your own breathing or voice properly. "There are several ways to either remove or, in fact, add sound to a city or human dwelling that actually feel soothing or calming. I am not shure playing meditative music everywhere is one of them, but in this context it serves as a reminder that to be whole as persons we need to make room and time for ourselves. "The piece “Train Station Nostalgia” is a way of capturing both these trains of thought (no pun intended). "My music here is constructed on top of a wonderful recording of a train station at Ho Chi Min in Vietnam. I have never been there, but stations tend to sound more or less the same everywhere in the world. It reminds me of backpacking in my youth, of train travels with family, of the way trains capture our dreams. "The recording is slightly reorganized but mostly used in its original form and not really manipulated.   "The ambient sound of people moving make the background to a piece with a meditative moody minimalistic piano piece. The piano plays several ostinatos, on top of which a melody forms. Bass and chords are introduced and almost take over, but the melody prevails, and the piece slowly ends with the piano ostinato. The piano is an old Steinway that is recorded in Ableton Live and carefully manipulated there, making it sound more electronics at times." In deze aflevering horen we ook fragmenten uit: 'Dimanche à Orly', Bécaud à l'Olympia, Gilbert Bécaud, 1963 'Son Montuno', Tierra Va A Temblar, Johnny Colon, 1976 'I'm a Fool for Loving you', E.A 1727, Fletcher Henderson, 1936 'Singin' the Blues', A 500.389, Fletcher Henderson, 1932 'You Fell Victim', Anton Arkhangelsky and Nikolay Ikonikov See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I'm becoming increasingly worried that a growing segment of the American public is pushing for a war with Russia. Needless to say, that would be suicidal. This morning I saw an open open letter to the Biden administration signed by a group of 27 foreign policy heavyweights, calling for a limited no-fly zone over Ukraine — “starting with protection for humanitarian corridors that were agreed upon in talks between Russian and Ukrainian officials.” The proposal sounds reasonable until you think about how this “limited” no-fly zone would be enforced. NATO would have to engage Russian forces that violate it. That would mean war. There's also the question of whether Poland will donate to Ukraine Russian-made MiG-29 fighter jets, which Ukraine pilots know how to fly, in return for America supplying fighter jets to Poland. This also brings NATO frighteningly close to war with Russia. So today's Office Hours question: Should we worry that America and the West are heading toward a war with Russia? If so, how do we avoid it?***Having read through your comments, I want to thank you for your thoughtfulness. I'm as spooked by this as any of you, having spent the first ten years of my life worrying that the Soviet Union would drop a bomb on America at any moment. I even remember urging my father to build a bomb shelter (to which his wise response was "not unless you, Bobby, are willing to kill neighbors who will want to crowd into it").American foreign policy is dominated by two metaphoric enemies -- either Hitler (whom appeasement only encouraged) and Ho Chi Min (whose nationalism had nothing to do with Soviet expansionism). Putin seems to exist more in the former camp, which means we need to do everything possible to make his invasion of Ukraine as painful as possible for him. But there's also an element of ethnic nationalism to his aggression, which suggests he might be willing to settle for Russian-dominated parts of Ukraine and not threaten NATO.I'm no expert in foreign policy, but I do think it important for us to be clear-eyed about all this and succumb neither to war-mongering jingoism that could lead to nuclear annihilation (as exemplified by today's letter from foreign-policy heavyweights calling for a "limited" no-fly zone) nor to a naive isolationism. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said today that the U.S. wants to get fighter jets to Ukraine “in the right way,” which leaves open the door to helping Poland supply them to Ukraine. Is this a slippery slope? At what point does the U.S. become a combatant?Like many of you, I trust Biden and his foreign policy advisers. I think they've done an excellent job so far. And I'm thankful that the former guy is far from the Oval Office. But I'm still deeply worried. This is a public episode.

Few relationships in the history of our country were as important as the one between President Lyndon Johnson and his Attorney General Robert Kennedy, and fewer still, were as bad. The two men could not stand one another and it was like that from the start. In 1960, Bobby Kennedy had tried to get Lyndon Johnson to back out of his acceptance of the Vice Presidential slot on the Democratic Ticket. It was a slight that had never been forgiven.Through out the Kennedy Administration Robert Kennedy had marginalized LBJ, and kept him out of major policy decisions. Many around the President had often joked to one another, out in the open, "What ever happened to Lyndon Johnson?" On November 22, 1963, an assassin changed everything, suddenly Lyndon Johnson was the center of the political universe. But he still needed the Kennedy family and that meant keeping Robert Kennedy in place, at least for the immediate future. The two men tried to make it work and together they managed to get one of the main pieces of civil rights legislation in history passed in 1964. But as the Democratic Convention grew nearer the strains in their relationship grew more extreme. Robert Kennedy had ambition to be Vice President and get himself in line to reclaim the Presidency that had once been his brother's job.  Lyndon Johnson, on the other hand, would have preferred, as Presidential aid Dick Goodwin said, Ho Chi Min himself to having to put Robert Kennedy on the 1964 ticket. Here we look at all the maneuvering in both directions that was done by one man to get on the ticket and by another to prevent it from happening, all with a scandal mixed in in between.

S-O-U-L-R-I-C-H-W-O-M-A-N dot com.I believe we can change the world, but first, we've got to stop living in fear of being judged for who we are. Hi, I'm Genecia Alluora, founder of the number one leading female entrepreneur network in Southeast Asia supporting one million women to own and love the F-word. Being fabulous, having freedom, financial independence, and family. We've challenged women everywhere to stop talking themselves out of their dreams. Soul why? Secrets of the Soul Rich Women Blueprint identifies the excuses to let go of, with behaviors to adapt and the skills to acquire on the path, growth, confidence, and believing in yourself to be recognized as a leader online, great clients online, and to have more impact on the world. Stop believing the lies about who you are, so you can become who you are meant to be, you are just an F-word away from the life you want, the marriage you want, the family that you want is going to be fueled by the business in life you build. Hello, my name is Genecia Alluora. Today I want to share with you. Why a mentor is important, okay? You are convinced that you need to be online, bring your business online, be seen as a leader online, and but your un-quite sure what are the steps to take. In one of my episodes I talk about my mentor, right? Kind of like telling me that I'm not focused on the things I'm actually doing even though I thought I was really focused and I thought I was doing the things I was already doing the thing that I'm supposed to do that is leading me towards my dreams, but my mentor told me that nail you're not and then it irritated the hell out of me. But anyway, because he's my mentor and I respect him a lot like I said when you find someone you have to really respect the person and even though I argue with him a lot and kind of debate him a lot but because of the respect and because of the respect I have for him and he has been there done that, you know and because you know, he is not a mentor just in the one day. He has been my mentor for the last 10 years and because of that he has guided me through proven results, proven systems, and processes to kind of guide me through and get to where I am today. So in 2012, I told you 2013. I was looking away to go from offline to online. So in 2012, I was still trading time for money. I work I get paid, I work I get paid. I don't work, I don't get paid. So it's tough, right? Because I was an image consultant after I won Miss Singapore I went to take on consultant certification an of course plus my Miss Singapore title, it does help me to lend very good clients. So I was serving very premium clients where you know, you get paid in five figures, you get flown around the world.to  make sure they look good in their personal brand when they do their media interviews and things like that. So I get to work with politicians, I got to work work with ministers, I get to work with CEOs, decision-makers and that's how I knew too that I have this gift of the kind of helping people getting seen and heard in hybrid high-level ways and also that I also can teach other women how to self and promote high-end- high-end high ticket it high-value products and services, like twenty thousand, fifty thousand, hundred thousand, that kind of value. Okay? That kind of value I was talking about. But you know what my dear I was trading time for money. Okay, If I work, I get paid. I don't get work, I don't I get paid. So even though I was doing very high-value clients, but you know what? I was still doing that time transaction thing. So eventually I found a mentor and even though I spent a lot of money I wasn't actually going around of circles. I was buying courses from different places, different gurus, and try to figure it out, try to figure it out. And I realized that hey, you know what happened because Southeast Asian Asia that will contexts different, we are made out of different cultures, different, we are just different animals in the jungle, you know, like between Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar and other countries we have like just in those other cities along we have different types of people right? Between in Hanoi in Vietnam versus Ho Chi Min the women, there are all so different. Anyway, my point is even though I try to buy courses from overseas and try to learn from it. I realized that it's not contextually applicable to what I was trying to do. So eventually I found someone who was able to localize and contextualize it in the culture format for me to learn and apply it to my business or that to be a mentor in for the must be applicable to you know experiences, being able to see the world being able to have that local knowledge. You know that can help me with my business on the ground to bring my business offline to online. So that's the first thing, right? And eventually, I found James, James Wee. Let me share with you why you know this view factors are important. Okay? After going through all the selections, so like I said contextualizing is very important. I will share with you on another episode on that by giving you a more detailed example, but finding a mentor takes a few things first and foremost, you must respect the person's fully a hundred percent. You cannot find mentors and just like I yeah, I will just listen 30% and then I will not listen and I will just don't care, that will not work because in order for mentorship to really work even though you have your own ideas and opinions. I'm not saying you cannot have a version of yourself. No, it's more of like are you able to synchronize this mentorship, this mentor relationship and have that respect then you know I for sure that this person is watching your back, this person is guiding you and standing with you and not for once doubting the person because once you doubt and you say oh this person is not for me, he's against me, she's against me and then it will not work, even if you're are sensing too hard out too. Must trust, believe, listen, and take action. Okay? So must fully respect the person.  Number two, you must he or she must have the results that you want. This is really very important, you cannot be neglected. Okay, he or she must have the results that you want my, for example, if you want my result like for example has gone from offline to online, make my first million dollars helped thousands of women around the world, especially in Southeast Asia and Asia to achieve the effort being fabulous, having freedom, financial Independence and family, then it is important that you are looking for me right so you have that kind of my result. So the result is very important. When I chose James as my mentor, he was he had been through a 10-year of the bankrupt period and then later on Cross his first million and in 10 million, and that's how he built up and for me having been through six big debts and I felt that he could understand my predicament rather than being judged by another mentor who has never been through the same thing. I want to say, but it doesn't have to be the same but at least been through like my I had to support myself school, you know, of being able to understand and empathize fully to a certain extent versus finding someone have no life experiences and you know, being a mentor I cannot accept that for me today and I will not recommend you to my somebody's life experiences and just feedback textbook. I can tell you all these I hate knowledge and not really in life experiences that will take you through that journey. Okay, you need someone who is equipped. Alright? And I am glad I found James, okay and he has so many experiences and he was able to guide me through that and you know what because of that in the 2013 team, I made my first billion dollars. Okay doing going online and doing on my business bring my business online and you know under his mentorship and guidance and the later on invested in the cafe retail chain, and we grew it not just me myself and just about all the partners we all of us did it together, right? We were able to grow with three countries to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and we've had 18 franchisees and licensees and after four years exhibit to a public listed company owner and all these things will have impossible if you handle Mentor me don't know the guy how to put my money, how do I invest, how do I grow because of this wealth of experiences? I am truly grateful for that and last but not least when you choose a men's mentor. Okay, is are you able to fully- fully take action and means dedicate time to follow up the men's room one common mistake that I always see people making when they find a mentor is the expect mentally to everything. You know, what a mentor is a mentor that means this mentor this person is very busy you know, they have got many things to do. Do they are many things that are like even though you pay them money or you to invest in, you know a fee to get this Mentor, you know you need to chase after them? They are at the caliber, right? So it's not a lopsided relationship is more like, you know, you respect a person you look up to the person and you must make your own effort to the chase after and you know what with the person you can't expect the person to keep back in and dragging you along. Just imagine, my cats, I'm pulling my cats all goes to shit and it got no walking expected to be carried. So it's kind of like setting yourself up for failure. If you are choosing and doing this kind of thing to yourself. If you were to find a mentor always have a form of respect and know that success is in our own hands. No one else can stop us from being successful a mentor is just someone to kind of watch our blindsides. And give us good, you know, kind of like the whole like perceptions like different ways of looking at things and then you have to immediately to or directions and directives and decisions to move forward. So that's the success when you are able to find a mentor.  that's when you too can have success in that's why I am where I am today being able to you know, moves towards my dreams empower, inspire women to bring that business online to own and love the F-word all these things this is because I decided to invest in myself and get myself a mentor even if that means my ass being kicked. So my friend my mentor. If you already have good for you. How else are you working towards your dreams today being a sole rich woman? I love you, and I speak to you soon. On this episode of the LagomMind Podcast we had the pleasure of talking to the inspirational adventurer Antonia Bolingbroke-Kent. Antonia's career in adventuring began when a friend asked her to drive a pink Tuk-Tuk from Bangkok to England raising money for MIND. Since then Antonia has been on some amazing adventures like solo motorbike rides through Arunachal Pradesh in northern India and the Ho Chi Min trail. Our conversation with Antonia looked at her adventures and how she got through a period of intense anxiety and panic attacks to get back to exploring the world. It was really lovely to chat to Antonia and if you enjoy this episode you can find more of her work here: Website- http://www.theitinerant.co.uk Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/antsbk/ Twitter- https://twitter.com/antsbk?lang=en

Rebecca Rusch’s bio says that Rebecca is 'the queen of pain with a heart of gold'.    Well, that sums up everything you need to know about this 30 year professional athlete. But if you’re into details, Rebecca is a 7x World Champion in multiple sports, 4x Leadville 100 mtb champion, 3x winner of the Dirty Kanza 200, she summited Mt. Kilamanjaro by bike, holds the record for the fastest ride on the Kokapelli trail, and was recently the first person to ride the entire length of the Ho Chi Min trail which you absolutely need to see for yourself in her inspiring movie Blood Road. But, beyond all that, what I admire most about Rebecca is her unwavering belief in the power of the bicycle to bring out the best in people and communities... and her dedication to bringing new people into the tribe of bikes. So shift into a harder gear, turn up the volume, and join us for this special interview recorded live at the 2018 Sea Otter Classic. This interview was recorded Live from the Buddy Pegs Media booth at the 2018 Sea Otter Classic in Monterey CA. We built this interview series from the title of our newest children’s picture book Taking The Lead that follows our animal characters along a journey to open a local bike shop and inspire their town to ride. We hope you enjoy these personal stories from bike industry executives, non-profit leaders, pro athletes, and families just like yours who are celebrating kids on bikes and inspiring families to get off the couch... and out for a ride. --- Purchase our books, and download the World of Buddy Pegs podcast so you can share the love of bicycling with the kids in your life.
