HYMN “Something About That Name” PRAYER OF CONFESSION P: We grumble and complain about our daily lot in life. We read the newspapers, watch the broadcast news and moan about the evil which flourishes in the world. And we wonder, "Where are you, O God?" L: We turn our backs on the needs of the poor or give only a cursory acknowledgment of their plight. We throw our hands up in the air and act as though we are defeated. And we cry, "Why isn't God taking care of all this?" P: Forgive us, patient Lord. Forgive our arrogance, our ignorance, our pettiness. Forgive us when we could have done something to help someone else, but chose instead to turn away. Forgive us when we, by our attitudes and language, our thoughts and actions, have gone against your will. L: You are with us, Lord. You lead us daily in right paths and offer to us the bread of life. You stand with us in times of trial and in the presence of those whom we fear, giving us your abundant love. And then you offer to us a place in your eternal home. How can we doubt your presence? P: Help us to trust you. Help us to praise you and remember that you have called us to be your witnesses and workers in this world. Give us strength and courage, joy and peace for all the work that you have for us to do. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, who laid down his life for us, his sheep, we pray. AMEN. Order of Service: - Prelude - Hymn 287 - Jesus, I Will Ponder Now: vv. 1-3 - Litany for Ash Wednesday: L: Man who is born of woman C: Is of few days and full of trouble. L: For dust you are, C: And to dust you shall return. L: He comes forth like a flower and fades away; C: He flees like a shadow and does not continue. L: In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, C: And to dust you shall return. L: For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. C: For dust you are, And to dust you shall return. L: We have been consumed by Your anger, C: And by Your wrath we are terrified. L: You have set our iniquities before You, C: Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. L: For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. C: For dust you are, And to dust you shall return. L: Teach us, O Lord, to number our days, C: That we may gain a heart of wisdom. L: Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, we humbly beseech You to set Your Passion, Cross and Death between Your judgment and our souls, now, and in the hour of death. C: Give us mercy and grace, and grant Your Church concord and peace, that at length we shall enjoy everlasting life and glory; for with the Father and Holy Spirit You reign, one God, now and forever. Amen. - Matthew 26: 17-35: Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.” ' ” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover. When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve. Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.” And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?” He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me. The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?” He said to him, “You have said it.” And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.” And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.” Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.” Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples. - Hymn 276 - When O'er My Sins I Sorrow: vv. 1 & 3 - Homily - Hymn 287 - Jesus, I Will Ponder Now: vv. 4-6 - The Kyrie (p. 124) - Hymn 584 - Grant Peace, We Pray, in Mercy, Lord - The Collect, Benedicamus & Benediction - The Collect, Benedicamus & Benediction - Hymn 593 - On My Heart Imprint Thine Image - Postlude Service Participants: Chaplain Don Moldstad (Preacher), Jake Marzinske (Organist)

You're listening to the Love Tidbits Podcast, where you'll discover a small, tasty, delightful, bite-sided tidbit of love - I'm your host, LeAnn Austin  Hey y'all, welcome to Love Tidbits, episode #44: Put Yourself in Their Shoes with Trish Meek  I love observing and connecting with other humans, especially noting how they fill and implement love into their lives. We have the amazing Trish sharing some beautiful love insights with us today. Alright Trish, briefly introduce yourself.  T: Well, my name is Trish Meek. I live in Georgia. I've also lived in South Dakota and Colorado.  I'm in my mid fifties.  I enjoy going to church and I love doing things for people, and I like to bake when I can. L: I love it, and I've been the recipient and seeing Trish doing lots of things for people, and I love that about her. Trish is filled with love, so thank you. Alright, so I'm going to ask you three questions. The first one is, how do you incorporate love into your business and/or your life?  T: Well, the questions that you gave me ahead of time so I could think about my answers, I found very difficult and thought provoking, and I really had to think about my answers because I really don't think about what I do, I just kind of do what I do. So my answer is, I try to put myself in other people's shoes. That way it helps me understand them better and so I can relate and connect with them on their level if I can.  And in return, it also helps me become a better person because I can only go by what I have experienced in my life. And there's so many other experiences out there that I haven't had the chance to experience, good or bad. And I think by trying to put their shoes on, you can find more compassion, more patience and empathy. So I think for me, that is really important. And honestly, that's something, wow, I forgot about that. A very long time ago I was having a conversation with the Lord and I had asked to try to help me with that actually.  I'd forgotten about that, but it has served me well. So that's my answer.  L: That's so beautiful. So served you well in trying to put yourself in other people's shoes.  T: Yeah, so it's been able, because whether you're homeless or famous, you know, we're all the same. You know, we're all the same people. And you know, I've never been famous and I thank God I haven't been homeless, but I could have the same conversations and get to know the beauty in their heart. And so, yeah, it has served me quite well, as in being able to relate with my fellow man. L: That's so beautiful, Trish, thank you. Alright, the second question, what is something you love about you and why?   T: This was the hardest one.  I finally learned how to truly forgive people who have hurt me, especially for painful things.  Because especially when it's like friends or family, you know, that you love and trust and put them on a pedestal.  Even though they're human, you know, you kind of forget that when you do that, just because you know, we do that with people you know, unintentionally. And when they disappoint you or hurt you, your feelings really get hurt because you don't realize, it's like, how could you do that to me? cuz I wouldn't do that to you. But because we're human. And it took me many years to totally learn how to forgive cuz you can forgive, but you're always harboring something. But once you can achieve that, your heart is, transformed for a better word. It's like you no longer have that pain or that irritation when you see that person. Or if it was something that they did that you see someone else do, it doesn't bring up those anger issues or that hurt issue that you might have. But there's a trick to that I found out that recently happened to me, cuz you get tested on that,   and for example, somebody hurt me again, same person, and I know it wasn't intentionally, but it was just like, okay, can I forgive them right away? You know, it's like, are all those feelings from the past, from another incident? Is that going to take and start on fire again? Thank God it didn't. You know, I'm very grateful for that. But, I found out that can be a multi-level learning lesson.  L: Absolutely. And what a superpower to be able to forgive others.  T: It is, but I meant it took me, probably a couple decades to learn how to really fully forgive, where you can truly love that person for the person that they are, and not remember the pain that they caused you, which can take a long time.   L: And was there some, like you said, some little trick or something that's helped you do that?  T: No, just not wanting to have that in my life because, when you thought of that person, you always had that, for lack of a better way, an irritation. And, I'm one of those people that my heart and my mind have to be in the same place, otherwise I'm not okay. And so I didn't like not having that, my heart and my mind not being at the same place with that, so it was something I had to work on with that particular person.  L: So it's more like being in alignment with yourself, and really the forgiving others is helping you.  T: Yeah. It totally helps you, because that person may or may not know they hurt you. And it did help me because then I'm at peace now. I'm at peace with that person and that's what I want because, you know, I love this person. It's just, you know, it's sometimes it's very hard to love someone when you're angry or hurt. And it's not a place I like to be.  L: Ah, that's beautiful. What an amazing superpower, Trish. That's great. Alright, so before I ask you the last question, anything else you'd like to share?   T: Just always try to love people. You know, I, some people are hard to love, but you know, I think if you take time to see where they're coming from, or look through their glasses, or their pain or hurt, I think it can help you love that person more. L: Yeah, and you've had some pretty tough experiences in your life and I think that's amazing how you still, you still choose love.  T: Yeah, because for me, that's the only way to be.  I mean, when I love someone, I love with my whole heart, you know, and how do you half love somebody? I mean, I don't understand that, you know, cuz isn't that, that's just not right. So it's either all or nothing when it comes to love for me, and it should be love for everyone, all the time.   L: You're all in on loving. Oh that's beautiful.  Alright, so what is your favorite quote about love?  T: Well, I found this in Guidepost. I used to get Guidepost, let's see, I told you I was in my mid fifties, so probably my late twenties, early thirties, I was reading Guidepost and I found this quote from Norman Vincent, and I'm probably trashing his last name, Peale. I don't know how to say the right name, so I'll spell it, p e a l e. I don't know how you say his last name.  Perfect.  Sorry Norman.  But I have made this my mission statement, pretty much since the day I read it, because it pretty much is who I want to be, and I try to strive on this at a daily basis in one small way or another, or bake.  But the quote is, "to be successful is to be helpful, caring, and constructive.  To make everything and everyone you touch a little bit better. The best thing you have to give is yourself."    L: Hmmm, something to think about y'all. Thank you Trish, for sharing. You're welcome. Thank you. Your tidbits of love. So beautiful. Thank you.  Have a good one y'all, and here's to love. If you would like to become an expert at Loving Yourself, check out my Lovin Me Program at leannaustin.com.

For I acknowledge my faults and my sin is ever before me. - Mark 14: 32-52: 32 They went to a place named Gethsemane. Jesus told his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 Then he took Peter, James, and John along with him and began to be troubled and distressed. 34 He said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow, even to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.” 35 Going forward a little, he fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36 He also said, “Abba, Father, everything is possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” 37 When he returned to the disciples, he found them sleeping. He said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Were you not strong enough to keep watch for one hour? 38 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 39 Again he went away and prayed, saying the same thing. 40 When he returned, he found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. They did not know what they should answer him. 41 He returned the third time and said to them, “Are you going to continue sleeping and resting? It is enough. The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42 Rise, let us go. Look, my betrayer is near.” 43 Just then, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. A crowd was with him, armed with swords and clubs. They were from the chief priests, the experts in the law, and the elders. 44 Now his betrayer had given them a signal, saying, “The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him and lead him away under guard.” 45 He went right to Jesus and said, “Rabbi!” and kissed him. 46 They laid hands on him and arrested him. 47 But one of those who stood nearby drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. 48 Jesus responded by saying to them, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to capture me as you would a criminal? 49 Day after day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. But this happened so that the Scriptures may be fulfilled.” 50 Then the disciples all left him and fled. 51 A certain young man was following him, wearing just a linen cloth over his naked body. They seized him, 52 but he left behind the linen cloth and fled from them naked. - Hymn 518 - Rise! To Arms! With Prayer Employ You - Luke 22: 47-48: 47 While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared, and the man called Judas, one of the Twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” - Homily - Hymn 287 - Jesus, I Will Ponder Now: vv. 4-6 - The Kyrie (p. 124) - The Lord's Prayer (p. 125) - Hymn 584 - Grant Peace, We Pray, in Mercy, Lord - Collect - The Benedicamus (p. 127) - The Benediction (p. 127) - Hymn 593 - On My Heart Imprint Thine Image - Postlude Service Participants: Chaplain Don Moldstad (Preacher), Rev. Episode Notes ["Maintain(Makaih.com)," by Makaih Beats, CC BY-NC-ND 4.0] ["Maintain(Makaih.com)," by Makaih Beats, CC BY-NC-ND 4.0] L: Hi, I'm Lami Zhang. V: This is Victoria Benefield. L: And welcome to Subtitled, a podcast where two fake film students take a look at popular TV shows and movies. Although I am no longer a film student, I have dropped my minor, and I am picking up art history.  V: Whoo! Exciting!  L: Yeah, which is a possibly even more pretentious minor than Film and Media Studies. V: I don't know. I feel like based on the length of the title of it, Film and Media Studies is really obnoxious. Like I feel embarrassed when I introduce myself with a Film and Media studies minor. Sometimes I have to shorten it to film studies to sound slightly less ridiculous. L: Alright, so today we're going to talk about our 2020 favorites and least favorites for TV shows and movies. Because we have a lot of opinions on things like this. V: Oh yes. And all things. I think we have opinions on a lot of things.  L: That's true. That's true. So Victoria, give me your top three movies for 2020. V: Okay, top three movies of 2020. Shirley directed by Josephine Decker, available on Hulu. Please watch it. It's excellent. Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, which is – I don't even need to explain this one. An excellent movie. And then Emma. Those are my top three. What about you Lami? What were your top three films of 2020? L: Definitely Emma, ‘cause I’m a huge slut for Jane Austen. Obviously. The King of Staten Island because Pete Davidson is my man. And I have written down Portrait of a Lady on Fire, although I did not really enjoy that movie. I guess I just haven't seen a lot of movies in 2020. V: Yeah, I feel that. I don't think there were a lot of good ones that came out, like I struggled to make this list. Or maybe I just didn't watch the good ones. That’s also a possibility. L: I think you would really like The King of Staten Island because you also like Pete Davidson. V: Oh, yeah. A huge fan of Pete Davidson, which apparently is controversial. L: TV show wise, I really liked Bridgerton obviously. Simon's pullout game is strong. The Queen's Gambit, although I know nothing about chess. And Emily in Paris. V: Did you really put that at number three? L: That was not number three. Okay. I'm not even going down a list right now. Um, number three, let's see. Possibly Sex Education, season two. Wait, no, no, no, V: Wait, that was in 2020? L: That was in 2020. V: So good. L: But maybe that didn't make my list. Big Mouth season three, two… three? The newest season. [Note: Lami is referring to Season 4.] Really, really good. Highly recommend. V: My TV choices. I only have two, but I would put Bridgerton on here as well. Shamefully, but so good. I love Gossip Girl, and I love Jane Austen, and it really just felt like the best possible combination. So, top two TV shows for me were How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast). Season two came out this year. This is a German show. Everyone needs to watch it. It's about two really nerdy high school boys that end up starting a drug business online, somehow. It's so complicated, but it's so good, and there's a lot involved, 3D printed guns … there's  a lot of drama. It's so good. And then my other favorite was Ramy season two. So good. It has to be in my top five TV shows of all time. I think it's incredible, like the portrayal of the conflict between religion and culture and like American culture versus his culture from home. It's incredible. L: Remind me what Ramy is about again? I've heard you talk about this.  V: Way too many times. Yeah. So, it's basically about this Muslim … man. I almost called him a boy. He's definitely a man, a fully grown man. But a Muslim man growing up in the U.S. and about just his relationship with his culture and his heritage, him reckoning with his religion versus American culture. And as someone who is religious, I think it's really interesting, like the tug between those two sides of yourself. So yeah, I love it. And it's also funny somehow. Despite all that, it's somehow comedic. But, yeah. And then I have podcasts next here. What were your favorite podcasts of the year? L: Definitely the one I listened to the most is probably Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain. Just because it's really light. I do listen to news podcasts, occasionally, but sometimes you just need some valley girl talk. You know. V: I love her. She's so relatable. L:  And also Life Kit by NPR. They tell you how to do shit. I just need that in my life.  V: We all need to know how to do more shit. L: How about you? V: So, my favorites. I'm gonna say The Daily by the New York Times just because I listen to it every day, so I can't not include it. L: Michael!  V: I love Michael. L: Remember when we saw him on Zoom during that Medill talk?  V: Truly changed my life. L: The highlight of my Fall Quarter. V: I think I cried a little bit, or a lot. He's a very important male figure in my life. It’s fine, anyways, moving on. My other top favorites were Canary by the Washington Post, I believe. Don't quote me on that. [Note: Canary is in fact published by the Washington Post.] But it was a limited series about just a couple of sexual assault cases from the past few years. Highly recommend. So good. Really interesting storytelling, and I think the reporter did a really good job balancing like the sensitive nature of the case. And then my next favorite is @lexie. I love her. I love her personality. She makes me happy listening to her. It's like Emma Chamberlain, it's light, she's funny.  L: She's not that relatable though. This girl highkey went like “I never get stressed.” And then I stopped listening to her. V: It's attainable though. I'm trying to reach that level. L: Is it attainable though? I think … I think she's lying. She's definitely been stressed before. V: That's fair. I think it was a little bit of exaggeration on her part, but she's fun. She lives in New York City. She has a great life. She does YouTube for a living.  L: I love that our – the people we look up to are YouTubers. V: Who are basically younger than me. Emma Chamberlain is younger than us. I think she's 19, still. L:  I just really like Emma's podcast because she literally will hop on the mic and be like, “I had a shit day and I cried for three hours.” I was like “same. “ V: My favorite part is when she doesn't talk for three minutes and it's just her cats meowing and she’s like “Can you hear that? Can you hear that?” Please, I just want a cat.  L: I think we need that in our podcast. I was gonna talk about stand up.  V: Yeah, definitely. L: Because we definitely need some laughter in 2020 and 2021. I saw Taylor Tomlinson's Netflix special [Taylor Tomlinson:] Quarter-Life Crisis. The beginning of the year. I thought it was so good. Death to 2020 came out in 2020. V:  No, it didn't. Did it come out the last day of the year?  L: Probably. I don't know. I'm gonna count it as a 2020 film. [Note: Death to 2020 was released on Dec. 27th, 2020.] That one was funny. Very dark humor.  V: I couldn’t get through five minutes of it. Not gonna lie. I don't know … something about it. It's confusing. L: It's not confusing. It's so funny. V: Yeah, I think I thought it was real for like two seconds. And then after that I was disappointed. I wanted a real documentary. L: We're living through it. We don't need a real fucking documentary. V: That’s true. I think it was because they made fun of the New Yorker. Or was it the New York Times? L: They did?  V: Yeah. They were like mocking one of them. I can't remember which one.[Note: She means The New Yorker] L: That’s really funny. V: It hurt me. Oh, we can talk about documentaries. Yours is Miss Americana? L: This is so sad. Yes, mine is Miss Americana. Taylor Swift. Huge fan. Not the greatest documentary. But it has Taylor Swift in it, so I watched it. V: My favorite documentary of this year has to be Dick Johnson Is Dead. L: I loved that documentary. It’s so good. V: I think I cried for all of it, maybe? Possibly all of it. L: I think we need to rewatch it. V: Yeah. Do I need to cry again, though? Should we explain what it is?  L: We should. V: For the audience. L:  At least a little bit of it. Might be a little confusing.Who is Dick Johnson? Why is he dead? V: Exactly. Okay. So Kirsten Johnson made this movie. Basically, it's coming to terms with the fact that her dad is going to die, which sounds really sad. And it was, but she did it with almost a humorous take in that she had these scenes where her still-living father would go through a reenactment of how he could potentially die. So it'd be anything from like, getting hit by a car to having an air conditioning unit fall on his head, all of this crazy stuff. And she would direct and film these scenes. But yeah, it's just like, a really beautiful film. And it will be I think, for her once – I can't spoil it – but I think it's a really good remembrance of her dad. And it's also a beautiful piece of art. L: I think those are my favorite types of documentaries. Like when the documentarian kind of has a more self-reflective topic, rather than like trying to tackle a bigger issue. Yeah, I don't know. I just think those are really personal. And more pieces of art than journalism.  V: Yeah, I agree. I think especially because the audience is seeing something through the lens of the documentarian. And so, anytime they're trying to tackle a really big topic that's not through a personal viewpoint, it can be dangerous and they can end up saying things that aren't true. Or they can end up jumping to conclusions, but I think sticking to your own story not only makes it more authentic, but it's also a lot more powerful. This has to be one of the most powerful documentaries I've ever watched.  L: Ooh, what is the worst movie or TV show you've seen in 2020? V: Okay, so originally, I had the second To All The Boys movie, which is horrible. We watched that on Valentine's Day, didn't we? Which is revealing our very single status.  L: That’s true.  V:  It's fine, whatever. Moving on. But I think after some very, very deep reflection, I have decided that the worst movie I saw this year has to be Kissing Booth 2. L: You saw that movie? Why did you see it?  V: I don’t want to talk about it. Did I watch the entire two-and-a-half hours? Yes. L: That's like self destructive. Why would you see that? V: I loved it though. Not gonna lie, I loved it.  L: What? I hated the first Kissing Booth movie. V: Yes, me too. No, no, I didn't hate it. L: It was so shit. I'm sorry. V: They're not good movies. They're not good movies. I enjoy watching them. I do think they are objectively horrible films. Really, no one should watch them. But I did watch it. I will say it was the worst movie of this year. L:  I think mine rivals yours, maybe. 365 Days. It's basically – you know how some movies are basically porn with a plot?  V: Bridgerton. L: This one's just flat out porn with 50% of a plot that doesn't fucking make sense. V: Isn’t that just actual porn at that point? L: Basically, it's an extended version of porn, basically, luxury porn. Do not search that up. Because I did, it does not mean what you think it means. Actually, it means exactly what you think it means. But 365 days, it's just about this mafia dude who kidnaps this lady. And then he's like, “I'll give you a year, 365 days, to fall in love with me. And if you don't, I'll set you free.” But then it was just a terrible representation of sex on screen. No consent, zero consent. And then halfway, she just falls in love with him. No fucking explanation why.  V: What the fuck.  L: They have more sex. That was it. V: I'm so disturbed. L: Do not watch it. Or watch it if that's what you're looking for, you know? V: I really hope it's not what you're looking for. L: Hey, no judgment here.  V: A little bit of judgment.  L: A little bit.   V: See I’m a real film student. I’m allowed to pass judgment.  L: 2020 was a hard year for everybody. So maybe luxury porn is what you need? Who knows? V: And on that note, I'm Victoria Benefield.  L: And I'm Lami Zhang  V: And this has been Subtitled. Thanks for listening.  This podcast is powered by Pinecast.

In this episode of Fire In The Belly Podcast, Trenell gives us a glimpse of the Trenell Effect. He shares with Mighty Pete about the tragic accident which paralysed him from the neck down and his journey towards being the captivating speaker he is today. He has inspired and empowered so many people by sharing his story and changing their mindset for the better. Some great topics discussed are: mental vs physical capability, Ziglar Legacy, the 7 Principles of Perseverance, best tools and resources in helping you succeed, and more. KEY TAKEAWAYS No one ever wants to see a teenager or any kid’s dreams get crushed. It’s unimaginable how an injury destroyed Trenell’s dream to become a pro football player and also to leave him paralysed from the neck down. He’s forever grateful for his supportive family. His disability requires thorough assistance, and they were and still are right beside him. The Trenell Effect: The 7 Principles of Perseverance is Trenell’s gift to the world—what he wants to be his legacy. Every time he gets a chance to share his story, he sees that everyone leaves inspired and motivated to achieve their own goals too. The ‘Trenell’ Effect stands for Take Action, Resilience, Encourage, Never quit, Evaluate, Learn, L "You can have everything in life you want if you'll just help enough other people get what they want" Start with yourself, always. It’s easier to encourage others to do their best when they see that you feel encouraged too. Despite Trenell having special needs, he’s formidable, especially mentally and emotionally. He’s confident that he can help you to have the right mindset and beliefs so you can control your own life to success. He’s had his bad days too. He admits that his accident also caused depression, and it was quite difficult to understand and get out of it. But once he did, he told himself that he’ll never go back there again. Never quit. Always know that there’s nothing wrong in trying again (and again and again). There is never a big enough challenge you cannot overcome. Be patient, and persevere. If Trenell was able to reach wherever he is right now (despite everyone else telling him he couldn’t), then you could too. BEST MOMENTS “Attitude is contagious.” “If you can look up, you can get up.” “You have to encourage yourself to help others flourish. When you feel encouraged, you can help others feel encouraged.” “Every morning, the worst part about being paralysed is working out that you can’t do anything for yourself.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Learn more about Zig Ziglar and Ziglar Legacy Certification - https://www.ziglar.com/ http://www.walkerbeyondlimits.com/ Subscribe to Fire In The Belly Podcast on Apple Podcasts (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fire-in-the-belly/id1499375061)! Psalm 31 L: In you, O Lord, I find my refuge; do not let me be put to shame. All: Turn your ear to my cry and rescue me.Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to protect me. L: You are my true rock and my fortress;for the glory of your name, O God, lead me and guide me,protect me from the trap that is hidden for me,for you are my refuge. All: Into your hand I commit my spirit;you have redeemed me, O Lord, my faithful God. L: I will proclaim and rejoice in your steadfast love, because you have seen my suffering;you have taken heed of my struggles, and you have set my feet in a wide space, free of terror. All: Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in pain;my eye and soul and body waste away from grief. L: My life is full of sorrow, and my years full of sighing;my strength fails from my sadness, and my bones waste away. All: But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.”Now let your face shine upon your servant;save me in your steadfast love. L: Do not let me be put to shame, O Lord, for I call on you. All: How abundant is the goodnessthat you have kept for those who live in awe of you,for those who take refuge in you!In the shelter of your presence you protect them;you hold them safe from cruel mouths. L: Blessed be the Lord, who has shown wondrous, steadfast love. All: I had said in my fear,“I have been chased far from your sight.”But you heard my pleaswhen I cried out to you for help. L: Love the Lord, all you faithful! All: Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord. Matthew 7:1-6, 12-20, 24-27 “Do not judge, or you may be judged. Remember that the by judgment you make you will also be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get back. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while the log is in your own eye? You say one thing, and do another. First, take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye. “Do not give what is holy to dogs; and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under foot and turn and maul you. “In everything, do to others what you wish they would do to you; this is the sum of all the law and the prophets. “Beware the wide and easy way; look for the narrow gate. The gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to true life, and there are few who find it. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you pretending to be gentle like sheep, but on the inside are ravenous wolves. You will know them by what they produce. Grapes don’t grow from thornbrushes, figs don’t grow from thistles. In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is good for nothing but firewood. You will know true prophets not by how they look and act, but by their fruits. “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on solid rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed into the sand.”

Peptides and performance enhancing drugs are an often-misunderstood topic. Jean-François Tremblay studied Exercise Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacy. He is now, a student and researcher at UQAM. He has been researching (in theory and in practice) peptides and SARMS since the 90s and published multiple studies on this matter, based on his own research. He had been studying the theoretical basis on what peptides are and their practical applications in sports performance, anti-aging, and health in general. His most recent work has been based on the premisses that the loss of muscle function (loss of muscle mass (sarcopenia), muscle strength (dynapenia) and muscle quality (muscle strength / mass)) begins at the age of 30 and continues exponentially with age in all the individuals. The mechanisms responsible for the loss of muscle function in the elderly are not yet well known, but probably involve various systems (physiological and neuromuscular) and this, in particular, is the main object of study of the CanLab laboratory. 节目名称:Screen Age 节目主题:West WorldD: Hello, everyone, I'm Didi, welcome to the Screen Age from May 11th, 2018Sh: On today's show we are gonna talk about West World. This is Sarah, your old friend. And Cynthia, Lucifer and Sara in Today's program(C: hello, L: hello, S: hello~) , and our new family members, Timothy and Vivian.( T: Hi, what's going on? V: hey, guys, new to the Screen Age. What's up?)D: So it's actually been a while since we have talked about TV series in our program. Do you remember when was it? Sh: To be honest, We haven't discussed any kind of TV drama since we joined the Screen Age.D: Umm, well, that doesn't matter! What's kick off today's show---West World is an American Sci-Fi TV drama, so our broadcast is full of splendid today. XX, have you ever thought about in the future world, all the people here are human-like robots, and you can do anything you like without punishment?Sh: Wow, that's what I always dream of. I would be a king. D: Haha, That's what this TV series is about. You must feel excited. Now, let's start!T: Hey, do you know "The West World" has been in its second season?D: I don't know, I haven't seen the show's first season yet. But I've heard of it. How is it?T: Dude, you haven't seen it yet? It's fabulous! You should go to see it!D: Okay, I would like to know what the show is about?T: It's a science fiction show which told a story about humans and robots. People built a park full of robots, and the robots here were designed to satisfy humans' desires such as the desire to kill.D: Wow! Sounds great! I'm kind of interested. So the robots don't know they are robots, right? T: Right, they treated people like tourists and friends.D: What's next? Did the robots resist?T: Yes, they did. The robots were wake up, and started to realize what humans done to them.D: I must say, it's very attractive to me. I like science fiction movies and teleplays a lot, especially those about robots. I can't wait to see it!T: There were three turning points in the first season which made the show a masterpiece.D: Awesome! What about season two?T: See it by yourself !V:Well, you know many people are crazy fans of the Westworld including me.So we are all looking forward to the second seasonS:Me too.I will follow it as soon as it updates. And have you ever predicted the plot of the it after watching the first season?V:Of course. When I saw the first season,I really felt pitiful about the fate of the robots, that human care nothing about the life of them and their life even the way of death are designed by others .So I guess that more and more robots will know the truth about the west world , they will control their own fate and begin to revolt in the second season.S:Wow,sounds cool.Actually if the robots have their own thoughts, they are no difference from human, they have life, have love and hate and also the long for fair.V:I agree with you.And I think one of reasons why the west world is so popular is it can arouse people's thinking about the human nature.S:You mean most of the human become demons, and without the bondage of the human world, they release their desires and enjoy the feeling of killing them.V:Yes,it is really terrifiedS: "Western world" based on a science fiction writer Michael's movie, HBO version of the "western world"use the concept of theme park in the novel, the plot is by Jonathan Nolan and his wife , joey.V: "Western world" is a big capital of HBO series, only ten plays'production costs up to $100 million (672 million yuan), and the first play's production is $25 million (168 million yuan) with propaganda cost more than 40 million.S: It's certainly not disappointing, with 12 million views on all platforms, and it is the most watched TV series of first season in 2016.V: The first play of "westworld" won the story with a new, thoughtful and in-depth review.S: "Westworld", the new series of HBO in 2016 has the potential to become a national concern. L: You know the Westworld is produced by HBO, Home Box Office. That's a big company with a history of more than forty years. It not only distributes TV series, but also movies, boxing and shows for kids. T: yep , of a wide range. But the series part is the most striking. Despite Westworld, there is still a lot of good works, like Sex and the City, Boardwalk Empire, and, of course Game of Thrones. L: you got me. Game of Thrones is my favorite show. From 2011 to now, it has already broadcast seven seasons, still remained a heated topic. T: The new season will be released in 2019, and it is said that some important roles will die. Just hope you're prepared. L: that's awful. But an attribute of American series is that they are not afraid to say anything. They go deep into humanity, deep into society ,raise tv series to an artistic height. T: It is worth noting that, there are no advertisements in HBO, which maybe means lower income. But it gives a more liberal creation environment to the directors and that always helps to become a high quality series. C: Do you know the director of West World?L: I just know him a little, but not very much. Would you like to tell something about him?C: Of course.Jonathan Nolan is a well-known name. He is the brother of famous director Christopher Nolan. As an editor and brother, he co-authored classic movies such as memory fragments, deadly Magic and Batman: the Dark Knight. He has always been a good writer of science fiction.L: Based on your introduction, I believe he is a really good director. Then, how about his action in Western World?C: Western World is an exciting work. Under the guidance of Nolan, who is good at telling stories, the series is logical and organized. Many flashes of detail need to be savoured. Like a fly that appears more than once in the play.L: The director made a great difference on it. It's highly expected that he will creat more exciting works.D: How cool this TV play is! It seems that human have been not content with online game but started to create the high-tech adult park. Meanwhile, the experience will be more exciting and more real.Sh: Yes. And, in this TV series, the robots also become different from the imagination in our traditional minds.D: In a word, it is so amazing! Although I haven't seen it, I seem to be the fan of it.Sh: Right. It deserves to recommend to our audiences.D: Sure. We can see it together and have a further discussion.Sh: OK. Now, It's time to say goodbye to our dear audiences. See you next week.D: See you. 感谢制作刘栢霖!

节目名称:Screen Age 荧屏时代节目主题:David Fincher& David LynchL: Hey Guys! It's time for the Screen Age. I'm your old friend, Lynn!B: Well, Lynn. Why are you so exited today.L: Because the film Murder on the Orient Express is going to be on the Chinese mainland. You know, I'm a stan of thriller. I've been waiting for it since the last year.B: Take it easy. I think that you would be interested in the director, David Fincher. He is the master of thriller. It's just your cup of tea.L: Yeah, I know him. Some of his films are really classical. However, I mistake him with another famous director, David Lynch sometimes.B: They are similar in some way indeed. And today, Let's just introduce David Fincher and David Lynch to our audiences.L: That's cool!L: David Fincher was born in Colorado Denver of America, whereas, he grew up in California. When he was 18, he worked for Korty--a film company. Later, he changed his job several times. Till three other directors built up Propaganda with him in 1987, he turned his way to directing films.C: Oh, I get a little about what you said. Before his company had been built up, he has directed many advertisement with lots of famous brands: Coca Cola, Pepsi, Levis, Chanel and so on. And he also has cooperated with numerous well known singers, including Sting, Michael Jackson.L: Yeah, you&`&re right. And on no account can we overlook his biggest character as a director, do you know that?C: The biggest character? I think it is his unique directing style. Because what he really think most is the realism of human nature and society. Right?L: You are right. Due to this point, his films are always popular, I suppose.C:That's it.L: Now, let&`&s learn about his films in detail.B: Fincher&`&s work, except "Alien 3", more familiar is "Seven Crimes" in 1996 (also known as "FireWire Chase Order") and "Fight Club" in 1999. In "Se7en", David Fincher shows the talent of a black thriller and cooperates with photographer, to create a detective films that are fascinating in both image and plot. The seven great Sins of the Old Testament: gluttony, lust, laziness, pride, greed, anger, jealousy ... S: Of course, chaos and darkness are the keynote of the film. The director said he deliberately emphasized the boldness of the uncoordinated. New York is filled with moisture, graffiti, and dark corners, and becomes the best place to interpret psychopathic murders. B: The plot is more difficult to get rid of the old mechanism, is still a fresh-blooded new detective cooperate with a old, stable, experienced police. Combat difficult criminals. But the layout of the story and the handling of the conflict are pretty good. It is a good-looking and style detective film.S: However, more exciting is the next work "Fight Club". This is a description of the people who divide the mind, the evil leader of a group of people, to fight each other as the emotional catharsis of the film, not only shows the modern people face the oppression of life, but also revealed that the brutal nature of the confusion will be confused, step by step to the destruction of the hidden worries, for the nature of modern society has a very good warning role.I: Only the subject is very innovative and interesting, and the director of imagination and the wild is also quite aware of convergence, so that the film in the logic and knowledge of experience can be resonance, the view of chilling. However, the director still does not forget the power of rational and love redemption, the drama and The Strange Woman&`&s love, faint become the later male lead reason awakening motivation, it is the most important meaning for the film.B: Like the Seven sins, the Fight Club has been criticized for its violence by some cheap critics. But it is in some ways a serious discussion of the difference between meaningful violence and senseless violence, making these attacks a slap in the face.I: The film&`&s Mirror is smooth and fast, the plot is strong and powerful, a runaway atmosphere full of splitting, tightly clasped the hearts of the viewer. In addition to the "Guess Train", "Tai Pin code", for the lens language application is very good work. "Fight Club" more than the connotation of "seven crimes", the form of use and depth beyond the general Hollywood film.L: It could be said that if David Fincher is a genius, David Lynch could be a lunatic. As a famous American director, who is addicted to the coffee, he made his own brand of coffee. He is the representative figure of the American non-mainstream film industry contemporary. Although he is in the Hollywood, he develops a school of his own. His film is famous for the gorgeous, gloomy and strange style with his black humor.SH: He grew up in the bottom of the society in Philadelphia. He lived in the dark side of citizens&`& life. The violent and corrupt he met has made a great influence on him. Although he is getting on for seventy years old, he has been devoting himself to reappear the nightmare in people's pallium. L: He is so remarkable that he reveals the trauma which we do not want to face with his imagination. I am just a ordinary person like anyone else, he said, our greatest fear is from the death. It's the source of the fear itself.SH: In the 1977, Lynch inspired his Philadelphia life, created the 5-year-old horror film "Rubber Head". In this film, he showed his fear and anxiety to the dark side of society from a father&`&s point of view and surrealism.D: Thanks to the famous producer Ben Barennoz's efforts to finally be released, and a shot of popularity, has been widely affirmed in the commentary field, he pushed on the surreal film production at the forefront.SH: The success of "Rubber Head" attracted attention of the famous director Mel Brooks. In 1980, he invited Lynch to direct the drama "Elephant Man", the first mainstream film of Lynch&`&s creation. Tells the story of a distorted head-shaped "Elephant Man" John Merrick in British society in the 19th century. D: In 1984, Lynch directed the action sci-fi "Dune" for Dino De Laurentis, adapted from Frank Herbert's "Dune" series of science fiction. At the pinnacle of his career, Lynch gave up the big screen film, and in 1990 he launched a music video "Heartbreak Dream" with longtime partner-composer Angelo-Dalmonti. In the same year, he filmed his most successful ABC TV series "Twin Peaks".L: Later, Lynch launched his 5th film, "My Heart Is Wild," and the next few years, he disappeared from people&`&s view. In addition to a 1994-year photo album, there are five of years, people can not hear any news about him. He changed his familiar bizarre themes, directing the road Plot "The Straight Story". More than one person commented: "David Lynch is back." L: That's all for today's program. Hope you enjoy it. Hey Lynn, what do you think about this film?L: I think, in some way, it's a cartoon version of The Twilight Saga. Because it tells a love story between human and bloodsucker, too.B: Right! And now we are going to give a short introduction of this film. The film talks about the bloodsucker king, Earl Dracula loves his daughter very much. In order to protect his daughter far from human's dangerous world, he built a five-star hotel Transylvania.L: In the 118th birthday party of his daughter, a young man called Jonathan accidentally broke into the hotel.Dracula tried every way to drive him out, but his daughter and Jonathan fell in love at first sight.B: Some humor some sadness and happiness mixed together, give us a diverse enjoyment. The Party——Bruno CoulaisB: When I mention about the Halloween, the film which comes to your mind first must be The Nightmare Before Christmas. However, it is so popular that I ain't interested in it. L:Although I think that it is a little bit dull, there is nod enying that its back ground music is classical. And today, we're going to introduce you a niche short film called L'accordeur. B: This film tells us a story of Adrian, a piano tuner who pretended to be blind before witnessing a murder case. It won a prize of the César Awards for the short films. It presents the highest honor of French films.L: The main style of it is the suspense. Someone who likes the thriller (like me) can't miss it. It is well worth seeing. B: The highlight of this film is not the blood or violent, but magnify the fear in your heart. There is much controversy is that whether the hero is alive or not in the end. L: But from my point of view, if you want him to die,he's dead. It just a mirror which can reflect yourself inside. The Party——Bruno Coulais L: In some way L'accordeur is a tragedy, but now what we will introduce you is a sweet movie though it is related with ghost.B: Well, I believe that everyone would have some gooddreams, the dream world is always much better than reality. Would you like to stay in the dream forever?L:And now we are going to introduce you a wonderful film called Coraline strongly! Someone may fear thetranslated name which is like the Ghost Mother. However, it is about a story with love and warmth. It is adapted by a classical Gothic fairy.B: It mainly tells us that Caroline was a girl full of curiosity. When she found a strange and my sterious door in her new apartment, she got through in it and found that it was a parallel world. Although it was a world almost like the real world. She still found the family she just wanted in it. Everything inside was full of magic.L: Coraline was awarded for the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award of the Best Animation Award. What attracts us more is that the single-frametechnology. With the computer 3D technology is moreand more popular, the direction Henry Selick is merelystill an old captital. In this film, he used moderns andpuppets and gave them new lives. What's more, itmakes the single-frame film more true.B: The most mysterious thing in this film is a lovely cat. He paid no heed to Caroline's laugh, and saved her in the end. He is so smart. It is said that in the filmCoralineII would tell about the live of that graceful cat.Let's look forward of it. I have prepared the ticket in my hand already.Alice: Madness Returns Theme——Jason TaiB: This is all for today's program. Although Halloweenis a western festival, but you can also enjoy it, like masquerade or go to a haunted house with your boy or girlfriend.L: Don not listen to him. You can also see a movie, it will be safer! Have a nice time, 最后感谢制作张雨航。See you, Bye~B: See you~节目监制:赛碧乐编辑:毕鑫屹 邹佳琳播音:邹佳琳 毕鑫屹 孟萌萌 孙晨棣 张桐珲 王雪莹 姜晓璐制作:张雨航

Liz Montgomery, Create the Movement: Welcome back to the Create the Movement podcast. I’m Liz Montgomery, and I’m here with Brad Post. Brad Post, Create the Movement: Good morning Liz. How are you? L: I’m good. Today we’re going to talk about one of our favorite topics, and favorite, I think elements of our business for both Brad and I. And that is customer service. And why we do it here, and how we do it, that, I think, sets us apart. B: Yeah. I believe so, too. I think customer service is huge in any company. And that’s something that you and I, and the team around us, has really thrived off of in the past is customer service. And that’s a core part of our business. Is good customer service. Right? L: ‘Good’ customer service! B: Not just customer service, but good customer service. L: Because anyone can say that we have customer service. But they can’t guarantee you what type of service. But for us, yes, good, if not excellent customer service. B: Right. L: We actually like to surpass the standard, or expectation, of what a client thinks they’ll get from a company. B: Yeah. We’ve kind of got four main points we’re going to go over. And I think, like you said, what separates us is, you know, a lot of times, people have had, or businesses have had a website, or had an IT department, or had, you know, somebody doing something for them. And they’ve experienced bad customer service. Right? So, sometimes going into a client, a new potential client, they’ve got pain points, issues that they’ve had with their previous company. “They didn’t listen to me.” Or, “They didn’t, you know, build the site like I wanted.” Or, “They don’t respond to me in a timely manner.” L: And, you know, let’s maybe say a couple of example of bad service. What does bad customer service look like? We’ve all experienced it in different areas. But, you know, in our industry what that looks like is, you know, I just added a - we have a lot of clients that are attorneys. So, they might say, “Hey, we just added a new partner to the firm. We want to make an announcement on our website.” They send that information over to their website provider. And it’s like three or four weeks go by. B: Crickets. L: No response. No confirmation they got the email, you know. And then it’s a month latter and the new partner is like, “Hey, why haven’t you even announced this on the website yet?” Well, their marketing firm didn’t follow through. Or, saying they’ll do it, and not doing it. B: Yep. L: Or, saying that they can do things like – we have a client who was with another company. And they we’re really into writing blogs and articles, and it was just some really great content for their industry – for the practice area that they were in. And they had, they were putting up, you know, three or four blogs per month. Well, their service provide went in and broke the blog and lost all their content. B: Oh, wow. L: And it was like, and this was after layers of just administrative errors that they’ve had. So, it was just a person who just didn’t know what they were doing. You know? B: There’s also those big companies where if you have an issue with your website you sit on hold for 45 minutes. L: Right. B: You know? Before you actually get somebody on the line. I think there’s a lot of big companies out there, where they’ve grown so big, they can’t handle the L: And it’s not built into their business model as something that’s important. B: Right. L: You know? At some point, we might be an even larger company, but we’re never going to lose that as a standard. As one of our core, I guess not really core value, but as one of our – what we lead with. B: Yeah, in the standards. L: In the standards. We want to lead with that because we’ve just seen so many other businesses, yeah, that that drops off after a while. Do we have a contract? Are they paying us every month? Well, who cares if we took care of them every month? You know? B: Right. So, kind of, our firs...

I can tell that adults really enjoy the Children's more, especially the rich ones. L: So let us open our eyes to see what have the rich people done with their toys.V: To begin with, there is a Toyland for the wealthy. The things we dreamed of as children — the desire to explore the undersea world of Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea or the longing to have the powers of a superhero — are often fascinations that stay with us our whole lives.L: It's no wonder, then, that no one really outgrows toys. The difference is that the toys get bigger, better, more expensive and more high-tech as people get older and richer. And no one needs mum's permission.V:有钱人的玩具在我们看来极尽奢华,完全意想不到,但有钱人自己觉得稀松平常。L: It's just so cool. I'm a Verne's fan. And Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is my favorite. L: Good evening, my dear audience. Welcome to The World Says. I'm Lynn.C: Hello everyone. I'm Carol.L: Today our topic is “ Makes me think.”C: Today, Lynn will share some little stories we select from the net, which makes you think. Just like the idiom 见微知著 in Chinese.L: Is it suitable for 见微知著 used in this way?C: Er… Whatever. Go on your fist story.L: OK. Today, my 8-year-old son hugged me and said,” You are the best mom in the whole entire world!” I smiled and sarcastically replied,” How do you know that? You haven't met every mom in the whole entire world.” My son squeezed me tighter and said,” Yes, I have.” You are my world.”C: So, what do you think?L: Everyone in that age thinks his or her mommy is the greatest person in the world. It isn't wired.C: But I wouldn't say to my mom like that. In another way, I couldn't say those words. L: Yeah, I was a naughty girl who could just shout to my mom,” Mom, I want that!”C: I think hug is my extremely way to explain my love.L: You see the boy in the story. This is the gap between he and us.C: Lynn, I decided. I will have a boy. And he will say every sweet word to his mom.L: Carol, you can't decide it. Come to the real world and listen to my next story. L: Today, I sat down with my tow daughters, ages 4 and 6, to explain to them that we have to move out of our 4 bedroom house and into a 2 bedroom apartment for awhile until I can find another job that pays well. My daughters looked at each other for a moment and then my youngest daughter turned to me and asked,” Are we all moving into the apartment together?” “Yes,” I replied. “Oh, so no big deal then,” she said. It's a little bit long. Can you translate it to our audience, Carol?C: No problem. L: You see. Your girls can also be sweety.C: Don't you think that foreign children's EQ are below ours?L: It's none of the nationality's business, OK? It decides by the education of their parents! Is that what you really think after listening to the story?C: Definitely not. Come back to the story itself, the kids want the family, the parents want the big house. The things in kids' mind always are so easy. It's the point that adults forget. You know, they care the substance more.L: Yeah, but what does the kids care are the thing lost gradually. C: 我们的节目什么时候变的那么深沉?L: 我们一向标榜有文化有深度你忘了吗?C: The third story!L: Today, my dad turned 91. He barely has enough strength to speak. But every time my mom (she's 84) walks into the room to check on him, he says, “Hello beautiful.”C: 今天我爸就91岁了,他现在几乎连说话的力气都没有,但是每次我妈(84岁)进房看他的时候,他都会说:“你好啊美人儿。“L: Wow. C: I love this story. 这是在用生命演绎浪漫.L: Seems like, you are looking forward to a romantic love story, aren't you?C: Yes. Who ever not? The writer's dad used his only energy to flirt with his wife. It's enough. L: When you turned 91, I will say to you,” Hello beautiful” every day. Do you want that?C: Lynn, go on your story.L: Today is the 14th day in a row that my nursing home patient's grandson has come to visit her. Two weeks ago I told him that the only time I see his grandmother smile all week is when he visits her on Sunday mornings.C: 我们疗养院有个老人的孙子现在每天都来看望她,今天已经是第14天了。2周前我告诉她孙子,每周我唯一看到他奶奶面露微笑的时候就是每周日早上他来看望她的时候。L: It's a big problem nowadays.C: What is the problem?L: Leaving the olds home alone.C: It's also a contradictory. The young have the work to do. How could they have spare time to take care of the olds?L: The things are very easy, Carol. You shouldn't go their home to clean up or water the flower. You just give the olds a call. They will be happy like children when they heard your voice and your care.C: It's no matter what you have done for them. 只要你有心去关心老人。L: That's I really want to say.

V: hello, dear audience, welcome to our school talk show, I'm Value.W: Hello, everyone, I'm your old friend Leonor 。V: Hi Leo, what kind of TV shows do you like to watch? L: I really love situation comedy. 也就是情景喜剧。Do you?V: Oh yeah, me too. And it's great that there are so many shows now to choose from!L: 哈哈,I know! There are so many TV programs that I can't keep them straight!V: That's right. Leo, you know what my favorite show is? It's RM.L: RM? What's that?V: Ok, Let me explain. RM stands for Running Man. It's a reality show from South Korea. Did you ever hear about it? L: Oh, yeah, 因为中国《奔跑吧兄弟》节目的上映,我了解了一点Running Man. V: Well, you know, Leo. Running Man is very successful. It has been on 5 seasons, and has made more than 230 episodes. L:Wow, Value, you remember that so clearly! I really don't know it has been on 5 seasons, more than 230 episodes?! It's that popular.V: 是啊, 而且我几乎每集都看过,并且一直在追。L: Why do you like this program so much? Do you have any special reasons?V: yeah, It brings us so much fun. The 7 hostsPlay many games in the show. All of them will try their best to win. And during those games, they maybe betray each other and cheat the enemies. That plot entertains us a lot.L: Sounds interesting! So, what kind of games will they play there? L: wow, How funny they are! V:You bet! I really like watching reality TV. 你刚才说喜欢看情景喜剧,我看过《六人行》,那算吗?L: I used to watch Friends religiously! I cried when it went off the air in 2004.V: Oh yeah.L: Friends was a really popular sitcom. They are fashionable for a time.V: But wasn't it pretty unrealistic? None of the characters worked very often, but they had a huge apartment in New York city. L: Who cares? Sitcom追求的是搞笑、好玩儿,谁会在乎情节的真实性啊! V: Okay, Why did you like Friends so much? Did you think it was really funny?L: Yeah, it was really funny, but it also had a great storyline. All the different episodes were part of the same plot.V: That's true. I also thought that the dialogue was really good too. 每集的内容相互联系,使整个节目有一个完整的故事埂概。L: Oh yeah, the dialogue was great. I thought everything the characters said to one another was really funny.V: The other thing that made Friends so good was the cast. All the actors were perfect for their characters.L: 是啊,我也觉得演员阵容选得很好。The actor who played Ross did a great job. He was hilarious!V: Really? I didn't think he was the funniest. My favorite character was Joey.L:Joey was pretty good, but not as funny as Ross. And the relationship between Ross and Rachel was really romantic too.V: It was kind of romantic, but it got old. 因为这些情节老演老演,就变得没劲了。L: What about you, Value? Do you like sitcoms?V: Not anymore. Ever since the series finale of Friends, I haven't found any other sitcoms that I really like.L:是吗?那你现在都看什么电视节目啊?Do you only focus on your running man? V: Of course not. Lately, I've gotten really into more serious shows, like crime dramas.L: So, you like crime dramas, huh? Why are you so into them?V: I really want to become a lawyer one day,所以看一些这样的节目,我可以从中学到关于司法系统的一些知识。L: Oh come on.... That show is so boring. Each show has the same plot. The police arrest someone for a crime, and then he goes to trial.V: No way! It's totally interesting the way it shows how the American justice system works. If it were so boring, why would there be so many spinoffs?L: Well that's one thing we can agree on. There are definitely a lot of cookie-cutter spinoffs.就是千篇一律的东西。 Well what are some of the other crime dramas you like?V: Do you know the show Crime Scene Investigation? We usually call it CSI. It's about a team of police investigators solving crimes in Las Vegas.L: Sure, I've heard of CSI. What other shows do you like?V: 还有好多犯罪类型的电视剧啊。还有CSI New York 和 CSI Miami.L: value ... can't you see that those are all the same show! They just happen in different cities!V: No way! They're all totally different. And besides, they all get really good ratings and rave reviews.L: You know, all this talk reminds me that CSI Miami is coming on pretty soon. Do you mind if I cut our date short so I can get to dorm to watch it?Jane: ha-ha, okay. Well I hope you enjoy it.V: OK,that's all for today's show, see you next time.L: bye bye~

"A Passion-Driven Church" By Pastor Jason Adams Hebrews 12:18-29 New International Version (NIV) The Mountain of Fear and the Mountain of Joy 18 You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm;(A) 19 to a trumpet blast(B) or to such a voice speaking words(C) that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them,(D) 20 because they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”[a](E) 21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.”[b](F) 22 But you have come to Mount Zion,(G) to the city(H) of the living God,(I) the heavenly Jerusalem.(J) You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn,(K) whose names are written in heaven.(L) You have come to God, the Judge of all,(M) to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,(N) 24 to Jesus the mediator(O) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood(P) that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.(Q) 25 See to it that you do not refuse(R) him who speaks.(S) If they did not escape when they refused him who warned(T) them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?(U) 26 At that time his voice shook the earth,(V) but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[c](W) 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken(X)—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,(Y) let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,(Z) 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”[d](AA)
