In this episode, we have the privilege of welcoming the remarkable Mike Prince. Mike's journey of resilience began when he faced a significant challenge—battling Lyme disease. Through a combination of traditional and alternative treatments, Mike embarked on a transformative path that ultimately led him to encounter a shaman and discover kambo, an Amazonian medicine. "I knew I knew after that that there was nobody else that could heal me but me, and everything was up to me now. Not in a heavy way, but in a beautiful way of, okay, Mike." - Mike (10:21) Throughout his journey, Mike gained profound insights, incorporating practices such as breath work and red light therapy into his daily routine. He emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and nurturing personal growth. During the conversation, Mike shares how his battle with Lyme disease became a catalyst for personal growth and led to the creation of "extremely conscious," a collective dedicated to men's spiritual development through the Evolving Man program. "You have to start with getting better sleep. You have to start with drinking more water in the day. You have to start with exercising, moving the body, moving the energy." - Mike (31:31) Reflecting on his journey, Mike offers sage advice, stating, "Society's journey is long and requires patience and self-love. Embrace every part of yourself and trust in divine timing." Join us as we explore themes of resilience, self-discovery, and personal empowerment in this illuminating episode. “And this society we live in is, it's a long journey, and it takes time, and you have to have patience, and you have to love yourself, like, more than anything because, again, people will shame themselves. Why can't I figure it out? And that's just gonna block you more. You have to love every part of yourself for wherever it is you're at and know that where you're at is perfectly timed. Everybody's exactly where they're supposed to be at this moment." - Mike (32:24) In this episode: (04:10) Struggles within one's career and meeting with a Shaman (09:29) Breath Work and how it leads to personal healing (12:22) Seeking deep conversations and connections (16:23) Creating an inner circle for reflection. Lauren is the founding member and managing partner of the Law Offices of Lauren Abrams, where she has practiced employee law for over 22 years. After facing a "dark night of the soul" experience, Lauren realized that you can look like you have it all on the outside and not feel like you do on the inside. Lauren sought to find the true meaning of life and she began asking people all over the question of "why are we here?"After months of interviewing an older demographic to gather their wisdom, Lauren knew these stories were too good not to share. She began writing about her conversations in the book 52 Weeks of Hope. She then followed it with a podcast of the same name where she spreads inspiration of hope through more conversations with others. Lauren Abrams hosts 52 Weeks of Hope, the podcast where leaders, healers and others discuss overcoming challenges and manifesting dreams (how you can, too!) and messages of HOPE. It comes from Lauren's own dark night of the soul where she emerged knowing she must tell her story, and that you aren't alone. As seen on Good Morning America & ABC News, Lauren is the founding member and managing partner of Employee Rights Law, exclusively protecting the rights of employees for over 22 years. She is also surviving life with two eye-rolling teenagers, two happy dogs, and a fabulous life partner (not necessarily in that order!).

It's pretty hard to remain hopeful these days. It can seem as if the world has gone mad — violence, cruelty, and inhumanity are everywhere and not just in Ukraine. The United States, once a beacon of personal freedom and security, is waging war on women, immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ, and anyone deemed different from the majority. In this episode, Attorney Lauren Abrams shares the wisdom and insights from the people she has interviewed through firsthand stories that helped them find hope. For more information about Lauren, please visit www.52weeksofhope.com.Support the show

On today's episode of the Soul Connection Duo Podcast, we have a fun conversation with with corporate lawyer and fellow podcaster, Lauren Abrams. Lauren is the founder of "52 Weeks of Hope", a podcast that was created to share powerful messages about life's meaning and a "why are we here" sort of quest. After going through her own dark night of the soul, Lauren knew she had to change her life. She began interviewing one person a week for an entire year, and knew she had to share the inspirational messages she was receiving with the world. Throughout this episode we discuss the power of human connection, community, as well as the negative impact of social isolation across the lifespan. Lauren also briefs on imposter syndrome, vulnerability, and how the universe will rise up to meet you when you are on your truest path. We chat about the importance of "taking that leap" in order to grow as an individual and gain these soulful (and sometimes challenging) experiences in life. By sharing our own stories of pain and suffering, emotions, and experiences, we can help others to resonate and heal alongside us. Lauren also shares her knowledge and provides us with great advice on podcasting, which can be beneficial for anyone listening who may be considering taking their own leap of faith in creating a podcast! She provides some truly amazing messages from various guests she's interviewed, and even shares her own message of hope with us. We get more practical with today's episode featuring Lauren and Susanrachel, two midwives with different experiences with home births. Home births represent less than 2% of all births in the US, but the rate is rapidly increasing despite its low percentage. There are some basic criteria that would rule out some people for having a home birth, such as needing consistent running water, electricity, and being generally healthy - no person who is high-risk should plan on having a home birth. They share how to find the best midwives for people interested in home births to ensure quality care, as well as what to expect differently during a hospital birth experience.

Lauren Abrams hosts 52 Weeks of Hope, the podcast where leaders, healers, and others discuss overcoming challenges and manifesting dreams (how you can, too!) and messages of HOPE. It comes from Lauren's own dark night of the soul, where she emerged knowing she must tell her story and that you aren't alone. Lauren is a mom with two great kids, thriving law practice, and giving back community, yet she was here going through dark night of the soul in her life. She is not that dark or depressive type of person, but she knew she was not alone. She decided to go out and ask one person a week, why are you here? and what's your message? People devoted the most personal information to her. She compiled and, in two months, she had created different common themes. Lauren thought of writing a book from the themes, but the pandemic hit, and she pivoted and started podcasting. Laura's podcast aims to provide hope by offering hope in its myriad of stories to teach people what really matters and remind them of the most important thing in life.Tune in!
