Ta mesec bo minilo sto trideset let odkar je umrl Danilo Lokar, slovenski pisatelj, Primorec. V oddaji zato objavljamo pogovoru s pisateljem, ki ga je leta 1986 posnel Denis Poniž, literarni zgodovinar in veliki poznavalec Lokarjevega dela. Danilo Lokar se je rodil leta 1892 v Ajdovščini. Po poklicu je bil zdravnik, ko se je upokojil, se je posvetil svojemu drugemu poklicu: pisanju. Lokarjev opus knjig kratkih zgodb, novel, pa tudi romanov, je izjemen. Leta 1958 je dobil Prešernovo nagrado, v kateri je bilo zapisano: »Njegova proza pomembno dopolnjuje najboljšo tradicijo sodobnega slovenskega realizma.«

Enaindvajsetega junija je minilo 30 let od smrti pisatelja in zdravnika Danila Lokarja. Rodil se je leta 1892 v Ajdovščini in kot otrok izkusil težke socialne razmere. Gimnazijo je obiskoval v Gorici, na Dunaju je končal študij medicine. Kot zdravnik je služboval v več krajih, od leta 1925 v Ajdovščini. Med drugo svetovno vojno je bil pregnan v italijansko Medejo, po kapitulaciji Italije pa se je pridružil primorskim partizanom. Kmalu po vojni se je kot zdravnik upokojil in se povsem posvetil pisateljevanju.Pisal je predvsem dolge novele, ki so pogosto avtobiografsko obarvane. Pisateljsko sta Lokarja določala psihološki realizem in ekspresionizem.   What does it take to be a winning youth coach? Listen in as Coach Ray Lokar shares stories and discusses his journey to becoming a successful youth sports coach. Ray Lokar is the Director of Basketball4ALL (basketball4ALL.net), which provides a variety of lessons, camps, clinics, competitions, and events for the benefit of the Southern California basketball community. Coach Lokar was the Head Basketball Coach of the 2002 CIF Champions while at Bishop Amat High School led St Anthony High School to the semi-finals, Western Christian High School to the quarterfinals, made 4 NCAA tournament appearances in his 9 years as an assistant coach at Pomona-Pitzer College and is a Past-President of the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association.
