Solstrålarna glittrar i Themsens bruna vatten. Medverkande: Sofia Bergström, Maria Enzell och Gunnar LindbergProgrammet är gjort av Siri Hill i februari 2024Producent Joanna KorbutiakExekutiv producent Anna JohannessenSlutmix Fredrik NilssonProgramledare Siri HillLjudklippen i programmet kommer från dokumentärfilmen The Filth and the Fury (2000), mockumentären The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (1980) och den dokumentära kortfilmen The Jubilee Boat Party (1977) av Julian Temple, dokumentärfilmerna Club Zebra - The Movie (2014) av Bengt Löfgren och D.O.A: A Rite of Passage (1980) av Lech Kowalski, London Weekend Television (1976), BBC Nationwide (1976), BBC 2 (1978), The Today Show/Thames Television (1976), Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2006) och Youtube-kontona mickwellings8801, Sex Pistols MV och marslife01.

The Shout is a 1978 British horror film directed by Jerzy Skolimowski (who is also an Actor was in Mars Attacks and played a General in Marvels The Avengers). It was based on a short story by Robert Graves (author of I, Claudius and great friend of Spike Milligan, with whom, from the 1960s until his death, he frequently exchanged letters, Many of which are collected in the book ‘Dear Robert, Dear Spike') Grave's short story was adapted for the screen by Skolimowski and Michael Austin screenwriter of Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. The film was the first to be produced by Jeremy Thomas under his ‘Recorded Picture Company' banner. Thomas went on to produce and exec-produce 70 more films (to date) including Naked Lunch, The last Emperor, Crash, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, Sexy Beast and High-rise.Interiors were shot at Pinewood Studios, the film's sets were designed by the art director Simon Holland (Quadrophenia, Buster, Nuns on the Run and King Ralph). The North Devon coastline, specifically Saunton Sands and Braunton Burrows, were used for the bulk of the location shooting. The church of St Peter in Westleigh was used for the church scenes. The soundtrack is by Michael Rutherford and Tony Banks of the rock band Genesis (After the original first choice of David Bowie turned it down). When heard in theatres in Dolby Stereo, it was aurally separating and distorting. Reportedly, forty different music tracks were used for the sound, when it was usual for films of this era to use just 4.The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 1978 Cannes Film Festival and received the Grand Prize of the Jury, in a tie with Bye Bye Monkey (A film staring Gérard Depardieu about a man who finds the corpse of King Kong and Kong's orphaned son, and takes it to a friend who lives in the city, and they decide to raise it.) Here's the first episode of the new Jonesy's Jukebox podcast. To start off and to get geared up for the premiere of the tv show "Pistol,” based on Steve Jones' autobiography “Lonely Boy,” Jonesy is presenting some of the characters important in Sex Pistols history. One of the most consequential is founding manager Malcolm McLaren, strikingly portrayed in the series by actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster. In this podcast, you'll hear the real McLaren. Steve Jones hadn't seen Malcolm McLaren since he ran off with the filthy lucre in the days of the Great Rock n Roll Swindle. In this episode, Jonesy revisits the old-school Indie 103.1 radio encounter in 2005 when the Embezzler and the Thief saw each other for the first time in over 25 years. But Jonesy will explain it, so just listen! There have been some bits and bobs out there on the web but for the first time since it aired live, here is the entire interview with the notorious raconteur Malcolm McLaren. *Bonus- Jonesy's whistles for a winner. We are back for our first episode of 2022. On this one, we discuss the mockumentary film , the Sex Pistols 'The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle. Publicly despised by Johnny Rotten, and dismissed by the rest of the Sex Pistols, we look at the (mostly) fictional telling of the Sex Pistols story, through their notorious manager Malcolm McLaren. Masterfully directed by legendary filmmaker Julien Temple, this film is an oddity, and a must watch, even for non Pistols fans, if not for for its visuals, and the very limited footage available of Sid Vicious. It's an obnoxious, bawdy and shocking tale, but one that must be seen. Thanks for sticking with us in the off period, we are back at normal transmission. Chris and Matt spend a surprising amount of time discussing Taylor Swift. Those young, belligerent upstart brewers from Scotland, sticking it to the same old corporate giants only interested in Filthy Lucre? Always controversial, there is no doubt that Brewdog are masters of marketing and publicity, riding the lightning that they make to international success across categories, continents and companies. Their beers aren't  too bad either. However do they treat the faithful army of "punks" they have created as mere pawns in a global game of high finance? The British Keyboard Wizard of Acid House | AdamskiAdam was destined for a life in the arts. Influenced by the likes of Malcolm Maclaren and the DIY culture of punk. Adam was making music with his brother on cheap recorders, when others were out playing cowboys and Indians. A firm favourite of John Peel, Adam set his sights on a career in the music industry. Influenced by Acid House, Adamski was born in 1989. Everyone booked him to play at their events, the journey took him around the country. The album Live and Direct featured a series of instrumentals produced at home in his bedsit. Singles such as NRG charted and Adamski appeared on Top of the Pops. This wouldn't be his last appearance on Britain's top music show. Adamski teamed up with Seal for the Number One track Killer. Adamski was the British poster-boy of Acid House who continues to produce music to this very day. Tenpole Tudor special with Edward Tudor-Pole in conversation with David Eastaugh Tenpole Tudor formed in 1977 when Tudor-Pole (vocals/saxophone) met guitarist Bob Kingston, bassist Dick Crippen, and drummer Gary Long. They played regularly for several years until Tudor-Pole himself (under the moniker of Eddie Tenpole) came to prominence by appearing in the 1980 film, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (filmed in 1978). He was originally billed as a replacement for Sex Pistols singer Johnny Rotten — performing the songs "Who Killed Bambi?", "The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle" and a cover version of "Rock Around The Clock" for the film and subsequent soundtrack — however, managerMalcolm McLaren and the remaining Sex Pistols instead decided to abandon the group and go their own ways.

Recorded on the weekend when Glastonbury 2020 was due to take place, we explore Temple's documentary on the famous festival as well as his Sex Pistols doc/propaganda exercise The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (1980). Rounding out the five are his day-glo, 80s musical/comedy Earth Girls Are Easy (1988), the film that almost broke the British Film Industry Absolute Beginners (1986) and his 90s Mickey Rourke/Tupac vehicle Bullet (1996). We also find time to discuss Temple's extended pop promo for David Bowie, Jazzin' For Blue Jean (1984).Check out the Cine-Lit website for additional content and further reading: https://cinelitpodcast.wordpress.comWith thanks to Steve Woodward at The Podcasting Editor for behind-the-scenes assistance. The Sex Pistols were an English punk rock band that formed in London in 1975. They were responsible for initiating the punk movement in the United Kingdom and inspiring many later punk and alternative rock musicians. Although their initial career lasted just two and a half years and produced only four singles and one studio album, #NeverMindtheBollocks Here's the Sex Pistols, they are regarded as one of the most influential acts in the history of popular music.[1][2] The #SexPistols originally comprised vocalist Johnny Rotten (John Lydon), guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock. Matlock was replaced by Sid Vicious in early 1977. Under the management of Malcolm McLaren, the band attracted controversies that both captivated and appalled Britain. Through an obscenity-laced television interview in December 1976 and their May 1977 single "God Save the Queen", attacking Britons' social conformity and deference to the Crown, they precipitated the punk rock movement. #JohnnyRotten In January 1978, at the end of an over-hyped and turbulent tour of the United States, Rotten announced the band's break-up. Over the next few months, the three remaining band members recorded songs for McLaren's film version of the Sex Pistols' story, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle. Vicious died of a heroin overdose in February 1979, following his arrest for the alleged murder of his girlfriend. #GodSavetheQueen Rotten, Jones, Cook and Matlock briefly reunited for a concert tour in 1996. On 24 February 2006, the Sex Pistols—the four original members plus Vicious—were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but they refused to attend the ceremony, calling the museum "a piss stain".[3] --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/vegansteven/message

The extraordinary ordinary life of José Gonzales inviger Göteborgs filmfestival i helgen. .
