"Back in Black", mens Led Zeppelin går i opløsning.

SWEET & LYNCH is a brand new band centered around the talents of guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet of Christian hard rockers STRYPER and iconic guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB, ex DOKKEN) along with bassist James Lomenzo (ex MEGADETH, WHITE LION, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Brian Tichy (ex WHITESNAKE).“SWEET & LYNCH was born as the brainchild of Serafino Perugino, President of Frontiers Music”, recalls Sweet. “He asked me to basically sing on this record and then I suggested producing it and co-wrote the songs with George”, continues the singer. Brian Tichy and James Lomenzo were then called in to complete the lineup. Now a complete a band, plans are being formulated to rehearse and book a tour to play the music included on this amazing debut album “Only to Rise” to the fans in a live setting.“It's an incredible combination of classic 70's and 80's”, tells Michael Sweet. “You will hear some flavors of Journey, Bad Company, Dokken, Van Halen and Stryper. James and Brian are amazing musicians. They tore it up. The drums and bass are just as impressive as the guitars. Everybody really delivered... The musicianship level on this is top notch. It sounds as if we were all in the studio playing together and we were not. Basically, George wrote some riffs about a minute to a minute and a half long. I wrote lyrics and melodies then arranged them. Then Brian and James came out and tracked the drums and bass, as well as some rhythm stuff. We then sent it back to George to add the guitars."The combination of Sweet's powerful, crystal clear vocals and Lynch's unmatched guitar tone, provide the force and drive that the album needed. The result is truly a “state of the art” Hard Rock album, with fabulous melodies played to perfection. An absolute must for all fans of Sweet and Lynch's musical stylings!SWEET & LYNCHMichael Sweet – lead vocals, guitarsGeorge Lynch – lead guitarsJames Lomenzo – bass guitarBrian Tichy - drumsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

In this episode, Lian shares the ancient and evocative Chinese myth of the White Snake Spirit, a story of prayer, healing, and a love that endures across lifetimes. Each month, Lian tells a mythical tale… as spell, as memory, as invitation... to be felt, stirred, remembered as a magical doorway into your own soul. These stories are one of the oldest ways ancestral wisdom has been carried down to us, a living inheritance that continues to speak when we meet them with reverence. She first shared this live with our beloved community in UNIO, our Academy of the Soul, in which we continue to journey more deeply together with it in a month-long quest. To join us for the next mythical quest, you can join UNIO here: bemythical.com/unio The tale of the White Snake Spirit is one of the most beloved and enduring stories in Chinese folklore. Here, a humble herbalist faces plague and despair, a wife reveals her hidden power, and devotion is tested through death, deception, and decades of prayer. Passed from tongue to tongue across generations, this myth carries not only a love story but the deep ancestral knowing that prayer itself is a living force able to heal, protect, and transform. The question at its heart is profound: can love survive truth, time, and the weight of destiny? The answer, when it comes, shakes even the heavens. Through this myth we are offered a mirror: of prayer that carries across lifetimes, of love that cannot be broken, and of stories as vessels of ancestral wisdom that still work their medicine within us today. We'd love to know what YOU think about this week's show. Let's carry on the conversation… please leave a comment wherever you are listening or in any of our other spaces to engage. What you'll receive from this episode: The Power of Devotion: Xu Xian's decades of prayer at the pagoda show how steady, daily offerings can move heaven and earth. Prayer as Living Force: In this tale, prayer is not passive but a current of devotion that heals, restores, and even brings miracles into being. The White Snake Spirit reminds us that myths are not relics but vessels of inherited wisdom, carrying truths about prayer, love, and transformation from the ancestors into our own lives. oel Hoekstra is a powerhouse guitarist known for his technical skill, versatility, and relentless work ethic. Born on December 13, 1970, in Iowa City, Iowa, and raised in a musical household, he started out playing cello and piano. But everything changed when he saw Angus Young of AC/DC on TV—at that moment, he knew guitar was his calling. That inspiration launched a career that would span Broadway stages, stadium tours, and studio sessions with some of the biggest names in rock.Joel first gained wider recognition playing with Night Ranger in the late 2000s. Around the same time, he became a fixture in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, performing eight shows a week while juggling touring commitments with rock bands. His ability to seamlessly shift between hard rock stages and theater pits set him apart from most guitarists in the scene. He later joined the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, known for their elaborate holiday arena tours, and in 2014, he landed a major gig as guitarist for Whitesnake. Since then, he's toured the world with the band, appearing on albums like The Purple Album and Flesh & Blood, where he also contributed as a songwriter. He's also performed alongside Cher, playing guitar for her Las Vegas residency and her “Here We Go Again” tour, proving he can hold his own in any musical environment. In addition to his high-profile band work, Joel leads his own project, Joel Hoekstra's 13, a melodic hard rock supergroup featuring players like Russell Allen, Vinny Appice, Tony Franklin, and Jeff Scott Soto. The project has released several critically acclaimed albums—Dying to Live (2015), Running Games (2021), and Crash of Life (2023)—with a new one on the way in 2025. Rockstar turned duck whisperer, Steve Farris shredded stages with 1980s American rock band Mr. Mister---known for their top-charting hits "Kyrie" and "Broken Wings"---jammed with Kiss, Madonna, Whitesnake, Tina Turner and others while never losing his duck-hunter-from-Nebraska identity. He then hung it all up to chase greenheads, develop superior habitat, and mount trophies. Literally. How'd a young Nebraska duck hunter become a rock star? Is the rock star life all it's cracked up to be? When did he know it was it time to step off and why'd he return home to develop some of the best mallard duck holes in the US? Farris absolutely shreds today's episode, offering insights into both the rock star life and the art of consistently putting mallards over the decoys.   Visit the Legendary Brands That Make MOJO's Duck Season Somewhere Podcast Possible: MOJO Outdoors  Alberta Professional Outfitters Society Benelli Shotguns BOSS Shotshells Bow and Arrow Outdoors Ducks Unlimited  Flash Back Decoys GetDucks.com HuntProof Premium Waterfowl App Inukshuk Professional Dog Food  onX Maps  Use code GetDucks25 Sitka Gear Tom Beckbe USHuntList.com   Like what you heard? Sammy Hagar is up first this week. His new song "Encore, Thank You, Goodnight" is out now. Sammy talks about the song, how it came to him in a dream, and why Wolfgang Van Halen didn't play on it. Sammy is really upfront and candid when he talks, which is appreciated. He also shared his thoughts on playing the last Ozzy/Black Sabbath show and the songs he'll be singing. Doug Aldrich from The Dead Daisies is next. Doug fought a cancer battle last year and talked about that. I'm very happy that he's come out of it, and he says he gets stronger every day. The band dropped a new album called Looking For Trouble, where they cover classic blues songs. He told me how the idea came about and spoke about the recording process and location. He also shared stories of rockers, including David Coverdale of Whitesnake, Ronnie James Dio, Reb Beach, and the first time he met Randy Rhoads. I could talk to Doug all day! Finally, singer Nate Peck joins me. This is the first time I've ever had the chance to speak with Nate. The Michigan-born singer talks about being on American Idol, through getting the job with Firehouse. The first gig they played, he didn't even get to rehearse! Nate speaks of his influences, singing these classic songs, and lots more. It was great to connect with Nate!

Youtube FacebookImaginepeakstudios.comMatthewhartleymusic.comBio Born into and immersed in music, Matthew Hartley, Charleston-based Christian Rocksongwriter, embodies the importance of valuing your journey. His own life runs parallelto his creative process, and while he may be curious about the outcome, he's notconcerned by it.Rather, he's ignited by the lessons, growth, and opportunities that come from honoringyour process and pursuing your passions regardless of your circumstances. As young as 8 years old, Matthew recalls always having a notebook by his side to writedown lyrics anytime they channeled through. He grew up in the era of vinyl records andcassette tapes, jamming to hair bands like Poison, Whitesnake, Van Halen, and BonJovi. He was enamored by the power of rock and listened for sheer enjoyment.Influenced by the genre's raw energy at a young age, we timelapse to Matthew as anadult, where his life experiences led him to rediscover a faith he had always carriedwithin him. While the emotional conviction of rock shaped his guitar playing andsongwriting style, it was his life's journey that naturally integrated Christian themes intohis music. He shares an example of when he wrote his first Christian rock song in 2001 called“Rise Above," which marked a reckoning with his own sins, and an acknowledgmentthat things had to change. However, while he was growing in character, he recalls that itwasn't until later in life that he embraced the true blessing of faith when faced withanother hardship. He elaborates on a time he went through a debilitating divorce, and as he navigated thepainful disentanglement from the complexities of family separation, he found himself athis lowest point. And in that moment of exhaustion and total breakdown, the lyrics:When your heart is bawling,You know that Heaven's calling …out your nameRepresent a pivotal point in his story. In his newest single, “Heaven's Calling,” Matthewshares that when you're at your most vulnerable it's exactly when God speaks theloudest. Heaven is calling your name to show you there is hope and love even in thedarkness.“God is working on you and he will get you through it. You have to have faith throughthe storm,” he states encouragingly.Another theme in “Heaven's Calling,” that Matthew unravels is the humanity that birthsfrom devastation. In the May 18th premier of the “Heaven's Calling” music video, thereare images of hurricane damage, flooding, and rescue missions from the disaster.Hitting close to home, literally and figuratively, Matthew shares that after the destructionof Hurricane Helene in 2024, he witnessed firsthand the valor of those rescuing, theheart of those helping, and the resilience of those who survive a natural disaster.“Love is powerful; the best of people through devastation is remarkable,” he says.“And for those, Heaven's calling [too].”In conjunction with the hurricane footage and rescue scenes, other parts of the musicvideo feature Matthew performing on rooftops around downtown Charleston withdifferent historic backdrops like St. Michael's Church, Cannon Park, and the CharlestonCity Market. After building a storyboard and scouring the city for permits and approvals to shootdifferent church features and historic sites, Matthew and his team creatively, andthoughtfully sewed all the pieces together. Part of obtaining those permits involvedsubmitting the song's lyrics, and it was serendipitous, almost as if the city was equallyonboard about spreading his message. With the success of it all, he was able to literallysing from the rooftops that “Heaven's calling out… your name.”While reflecting on the development of the project, which he shares was his favoriteaspect of it all, he emphasized the gratification of creating something from nothing.“To do that is such a blessing. It's a process of creation, and you have to be flexible andfluid and enjoy the ride. It's not about the money or the outcome - it's about the journey”he says.He also humbly noted that he couldn't do it alone. He knew that bringing his vision tofruition required collaboration and the culmination of many parts from key producers andsession musicians, to cinematographers and municipalities.Pulling back the curtain even more, Matthew began writing the song at the beginning of2025, and with his melody, lyrics, and chord structure in place, he set out to find high-quality professionals to level up his creation. He gives a shout-out to David Kershenbaum, renowned producer for Tracy Chapmanand Duran Duran, who livened Matthew's vocals and musicality. Excited by the result,Matthew shares that “Heaven's Calling,” will be the first single in an upcoming EP.What's more, Matthew shares that a goal of this is that after learning from hisexperiences, he wants to share and impart lessons and resources to other musiciansembarking on creative endeavors through his production and publishing company,Imagine Peak Studios. When asked what words of advice he'd like to leave for readers and listeners alike, he reminds us: “Do not let your circumstances dictate your journey. Age or time is irrelevant, and if you have a passion for something just do it. Praise God. Love your family and neighbors. And, live your life.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

On the 63rd Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & special guest, the co-host of the Growin' Up Rock Podcast, Steven Michael, review the self-titled 1987 breakthrough album from Whitesnake. Whitesnake was a veteran British blues hard rock band with limited success in the United States. By 1987, David Coverdale wanted to change the band's style and image to a more Americanized version. He started with the music. The album is considered Whitesnake's "hair Metal" phase. The band was always a double guitar band, but this time, guitarist extraordinaire, John Sykes would contribute all the guitars and assist in the lyrics. Long time bassist, Neil Murray was on board as was top notch drummer, Aynsley Dunbar. Finalizing this lineup is Shout It Out Loudcast's favorite, Don Airey. After the music was completed, Coverdale proceeded to fire all the band members and hired an all star lineup to tour and more importantly appear in the MTV videos, including, Vivian Campbell, Adrian Vandenberg, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldrich. But, more importantly he added his then fiancée, Tawny Kitaen to their videos and the band and the album exploded. Songs like "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love" made it to Number 1 and 2 on radio respectively. The videos were all over MTV. The album was produced by Mike Stone and Keith Olsen. The album made it to Number 2 on the Billboard Charts and went 8X Platinum. The success of the band is credited to Coverdale's amazing vocals and frontman capabilities and John Sykes legendary melodic guitar work. However, the videos and Tawny Kitaen's impact cannot be overstated. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was the Patreon pick. Please make sure you join! So grab your bad boys and go wild in the streets with this one! Ow, ow, ow, ow!
