There's a lot to unpack this week thanks to new releases on opposite ends of the development spectrum. While RAGE 2 hasn't hooked us yet, the game shows promise thanks to fun combat and the usual open world hooks. On the other end of the spectrum, Druidstone, the next game from the talent behind The Legend of Grimrock, manages to do a lot with a smaller budget. Nick goes to bat for Days Gone now that he's spent a lot more time with it and the group addresses some juicy news involving From Software and George R. R. Martin.

Fueled with a love of retro PC RPGs and the dream of reviving them for the current generation, four Finnish developers put everything on the line to craft Legend of Grimrock. Their creation climbed to the top of the Steam sales charts and spawned both a sequel and a successful Kickstarter for a live-action series (whatever happened to that anyway?). In the early days of video games there was a genre that came into being very soon after such things came into being. That genre is the dungeon crawler and can be traced back to games like Wizardry and Ultima series of titles that dominated the 1980s and 1990s. As we move into the thick of November, the group has their hands full already. Brad is DEEP into The Legend of Grimrock 2, Nolan spent the weekend playing the Evolve Alpha, and Nick bought an Xbox One and started Sunset Overdrive! On top of that, Krispy finally started playing the original Bayonetta and is a little bit shocked by the over the top nature of the game.
