Box Breathing, also known as tactical breathing is a very powerful practice for nervous system regulation, stress and anxiety management, and cultivating a sense of safety within. When you control your breathing, you control your physical stress responses which in turn controls your emotional responses. This is a gradual practice to help you gently expand your capacity to deepen your breath, and deepen your relaxation state. This practice is followed by a 20 minute Sound Bowl healing, also known as a sound bath. The vibrations from the sound bath helps clear energy blockages from energy centers in the body. Helping elevate your own vibrational frequency to invite energy clearing, relaxation and clarity. May this practice support you, ground you, and elevate you to your highest expression. Welcome to a gratitude episode! It's been 6 MONTHS since I've started my eating disorder recovery, and it's been such a rewarding journey. This week's episode is a major update on my support system, how I'm including movement and exercise into my ED journey, body image, how to veer away from diet culture, current ED habits, and how I'm balancing intuition and wellness. This podcast has been an amazing platform for me to vent and document my journey in a realistic and relatable way, and I truly feel grateful for those of you who have listened to any episode or messaged me encouragement. When the nominations for the MWL Lots of Love boxes land in my inbox it’s hard for me not to get attached to those stories. Just reading about the connections and the amazing things spouses are doing that are prompting their friends and family to nominate them, is truly a privilege. This weeks podcast episode is about the stories behind the Lots of Love Box nominations. I talk to spouse Chantelle, a Lots of Love box recipient. Chantelle details the connection and deep friendship she formed with the spouse who went out of their way to nominate her despite, at the time, facing their own loss and tragedy. I also talk to Defence Banks Michael O’Reilly about the importance of acknowledging all that spouses do and why Defence Bank wanted to support the Lots of Love Boxes. And spouse Julia, also a Lots of Love box recipient talks about the fast friendship she formed with the spouse who nominated her and the amazing feeling of knowing someone just “gets it” and has your back through the challenges and celebrations of Defence life. In this episode I go off the deep end about how I annoyed I am whenever I see people, particularly fellow white women, say “what's possible for them is possible for you.” This is just not true, it's harmful, dangerous, and can fuel comparison, anxiety, and depression. It also completely lacks an analysis of the impacts of white supremacy, patriarchy, and ongoing colonialism on our lives, businesses, and outcomes. I want to shout out Ericka Hart and Ebony Donnley for their incredible work that inspires me always and particularly this episode. Their podcast “From Hoodrat to Headwrap” is a wealth of information and I encourage you to listen and support. Their latest episode, "Our Election System is Based on 5 Black People Being Worth 3 White, But the US is Definitely a Democracy." I also discuss how therapy has helped me so much and how support for our mental, spiritual, physical, emotional, and psychological health is so important. I want to share Rachel Cargle's, The Loveland Foundation, for any Black women and girls who want accessible therapy. Also, Better Help is an option for accessible and affordable mental health services/therapy. If you'd like to chat with me and book a Clarity Call, please do it! I would love to connect with you. You can do that on my website: erinkmonahan.com AND finally, if you have any feedback, questions, or podcast episode requests feel free to email me at erin@erinkmonahan.com LOTS OF LOVE!!

Hey My Loves, Here's a song to you, straight from my heart to yours~ Love is on the Way by Celine Dion (you can find it on my spotify playlist as well) This 11/22 portal we are ascending to a new dimension of self-love, self-discovery & self-mastery...and that will take us closer to union. We're so close, as a collective of singles who closed out karmic cycles this year...It's okay to be transparent enough to say that in the midst of success, fame, power & accomplishments that you want someone to share it with. That companionship. Someone to share your life experiences with, to laugh with, to come home to. The BEAUTIFUL thing about the union before us is that on top of all of that - we get to take on a MISSION...TOGETHER...that will FOREVER change the world. So until then, continue to strive to be the best version of yourself {for yourself} and for your Divine Love. This is one of the most important days of the Harvey Weinstein trial. He is finally facing an accuser who is part of the actual criminal case against him. Actress Annabella Sciorra made allegations but he is not being charged with those offenses - they are being used to bolster the case against him. Former Project Runaway production assistant, Miriam Haley took the stand to accuse Weinstein of sexually assaulting her in his SoHo apartment. Her description of the attack was graphic and she cried whilst recounting the alleged assault. However will the jury believe her? Will they find Weinstein guilty? Miriam Hayley's story was undermined by Weinstein's defense team when she admitted accepting gifts and airline tickets and having consensual sex with him after she says he sexually assaulted her. The Defense also produced loving emails from Hayley to Weinstein - written after the alleged attack. She even pitched a TV series to her alleged attacker. What will the jury decide?
