Please support the show if you can by going to https://www.dlweekly.net/support/. Check out all of our current partners and exclusive discounts at https://www.dlweekly.net/promos. News: Earlier this week was St. Patrick's Day and Disneyland had limited offerings. The only things at the resort were a version of the Gray Stuff – called The Green Stuff at Red Rose Tavern, and a St. Paddy's Day t-shirt featuring Kermit the Frog. Of course, the Little Man of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra was celebrating at his tiny home in Adventureland. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ Guests staying at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will delight in the updates happening. New entry gates are being installed to go along with the new entry gates at the Monorail station in Downtown Disney, and the entrances to Disney California Adventure and Disneyland. Two of the full-service restaurants, Storytellers Café and Napa Rose, are undergoing refurbishments, a new concierge lounge, and updated to rooms. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ Over at Carthay Circle restaurant, there are costumes on display from the Snow White live action feature. The costumes are worn by Snow White, played by Rachel Zegler, and the Evil Queen, played by Gal Gadot. The original, animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered at the original Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles on December 21, 1937. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ https://mickeyblog.com/2025/03/17/live-action-snow-white-costumes-are-now-on-display-at-disneyland-resort/ This week, the Easter Foodie Guide was posted by Disney. This year, you can book a spot at Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Springtime! at the Disneyland Hotel, or Storytellers Cafe Easter Buffet at the Grand Californian. Another Easter item is a Thumper Spring popcorn bucket. – https://disneyparksblog.com/disney-experiences/disney-eats-easter-foodie-guide-2025/ An Easter tradition is not returning this year. The coveted chocolate Easter eggs at Candy Palace are not going to be on the menu. This is a result of cost-cutting measures at the candy kitchens. News: With the upcoming 70th anniversary at Disneyland coming up fast, there has been some work to get the parks in tip-top shape. Last week, Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge had the cannons fixed! This effect has not been working for the last year or more. Rumor online is that it was a programming issue that over the course of the day the movement got out of sync and caused the attraction to stop working. That has been corrected and the cannons appear to be back! – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2025/02/02/we-love-it-when-disney-listens-imagineers-finally-fixed-this-glaring-ride-problem/ There is quite a bit happening elsewhere in the resort as well. Over in Disney California Adventure, Elias & Co. on Buena Vista Street is behind scrim and scaffold, the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land is still working on the updates to the main office. The new seating area nearby has also partially gone back behind walls to add what looks like a shade covering to the spot. The Little Mermaid is still open, but getting an extended standby queue. Grizzly River Run is undergoing a major refurbishment, including work on the guard rails and some stonework. – https://www.micechat.com/408639-disneyland-update-end-of-the-line-blasts-from-the-past/ ver in Disneyland, more light poles are covered up around the resort to allow for maintenance. The Disneyland Monorail and Disneyland Railroad are closed until early March to work on new entrance gates for the Downtown Disney station of the Monorail, and the rest of the track replacement for the Disneyland Railroad. The Jolly Holiday and it's a small world are down for extended refurbishments. – https://www.micechat.com/408639-disneyland-update-end-of-the-line-blasts-from-the-past/ This coming weekend is the last chance to hop aboard the Red Car Trolley at Disney California Adventure. February 8th is the last day for the attraction which added a lot of kinetic movement and atmosphere to Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Boulevard. While you won't be able to ride the trolley anymore, one will be parked near the entrance to the park for photos. – https://www.micechat.com/408639-disneyland-update-end-of-the-line-blasts-from-the-past/ Madame Leota's Somewhere Beyond shop, which just opened last month had some flooding issues last week. The heavy rain flowed down the walkway to Bayou Country and right into the front door of the shop. The resort already has plans for work to be done with the path in front of the shop to correct this issue. The shop will remain open during this work, with entrance allowed by the Haunted Mansion exit. – https://www.micechat.com/408639-disneyland-update-end-of-the-line-blasts-from-the-past/ Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts Nite was hugely popular, but the other After Dark Nites still have tickets available. 90's Nite still has tickets for March 4th, and Star Wars Nite still has all dates available. If you are interested in attending either of these, check out the link in our show notes. – https://www.micechat.com/408639-disneyland-update-end-of-the-line-blasts-from-the-past/ https://disneyland.disney.go.com/admission/events/ A pop-up mini golf experience is coming to the Pixar Place Hotel. Pixar Putt, which was at the D23 Expo, and a season in Washington, D.C., and Long Beach, opens on February 7th at 3pm and will be at the hotel until June 1st. Tee times are every 30 minutes, with with discounts for hotel guests and Magic Keyholders. Prices range from $28-$33, plus a $2 per person service fee. The Royal Street Veranda has added Baked Cheesy Biscuits, with an optional side of Cajun Cheese sauce. They are described as Cheeze-Its in biscuit form. The biscuits are made with sharp cheddar and cajun cheese, and are brushed with garlic butter. The sauce is not overly spicy and adds a sharper cheese flavor. The biscuits are $8.99, and the dipping sauce is $1.39. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2025/01/27/review-id-like-to-thank-the-creator-of-this-new-disney-snack-for-making-me-believe-in-happiness-again/ SnackChat: Flo's V8 Cafe – https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disney-california-adventure/flos-v8-cafe/menus/ Discussion Topic: Disney Islands with Teresa

In this episode, we're joined by our guest Braden, who's got some incredible stories to share from his two Disney Cultural Exchange Programs! Braden's first experience had him serving up smoky deliciousness at Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom, and his second stint was all about quick service magic, working Pecos Outdoor Vending across Adventureland. He takes us behind the scenes of his roles, the unique cultural exchange experiences, and the daily Disney magic that kept him coming back. Alongside Braden's stories, Jeremy and Phil dive into a draft of their all-time favorite shows across Disney World, from beloved classics to hidden gems. But it doesn't stop there — we get into some hot debates too! Is the monorail the ultimate Disney transportation, or has the Skyliner taken its crown? And when it comes to attractions, should Disney stick to original stories, or are IP-based rides truly better? This episode is packed with insider tales, spirited debates, and a bit of Disney nostalgia that you won't want to miss!
