With NO work. Things you will learn in this episode: What is 7-Hour book? How to decide if writing a book is the best tactic in your marketing strategy? Factors considered when deciding that publishing a book is the best marketing channel Determine one marketing strategy in creating a book What does it mean when we are using our book for self defense? How is the seven hour book different and what makes it the best solution among others The 7-Hour book process includes structuring, guided interviews, and book creation What is the 7-Hour book? The 7-Hour book is a system that allows any entrepreneur to write their own professionally-published book while spending only 7 hours of their time on it. It helps entrepreneurs and others in business to share their stories and the ultimate way for them to share their insights is to publish a book. It finally provides entrepreneurs the recognition they deserve. How to decide if writing a book is the best tactic in your marketing strategy? Always start asking yourself the why questions. Consider all the other marketing strategies used by many- podcast, a YouTube channel, or Facebook ads and weigh on them and decide if publishing a book is the best marketing strategy that will work for you. Once you have decided and stirred from the other marketing channels, all the idea will just come to the surface and just believe in yourself that you are unique and has knowledge, insights, and perspectives that others don't have. Factors considered when deciding that publishing a book is the best marketing channel Figuring out the "why" of publishing a book. Figuring out the things you want to achieve through the book and will the book be helpful on achieving these things. For example, you want to reach a certain market who is more traditional based in terms of seeking information, then the book is the best tool to educate them with your business. Determine one marketing strategy in creating a book Bring in marketing partners to your book and having them provide some of the content, or giving them a shout out in your content. In that way, they will not only provide you with a content, but they also then have an interest in promoting the book and marketing the book when it's out. What does it mean when we are using our book for self defense? It means it is safeguarding and defending your time from a situation where a person if you provided them with your book ahead of time, you might have been able to educate them and help them to see for themselves whether or not it made sense to continue talking to you. It helps people get to know more about you, what you do and decide if connecting with you will help them. How is the seven hour book different and what makes it the best solution among others? It strips out time as an excuse to not get a book done. It will only require seven one hour sessions from the client which could be scheduled anytime. It comes from a marketing standpoint. The content of the book and how it is written comes from a business context that will draw your target market to your business. The 7-Hour book process includes structuring, guided interviews, and book creation Going over the book and segment each chapter of the book in a call. It is a 100% collaborative approach done in an interview style. Part of it is discussing ideas, asking questions that would essentially yield answers from the client's point of view and our writers take notes from these discussion and create a book from there. There is so much uncertainty about the market at the moment that it’s become vital for real estate investors to set themselves apart from their competitors. How can writing a book differentiate us from other investors, and how should we structure a book that promotes us? Is there a ‘right’ time to share our stories and principles for success? On this episode, creator of The 7-Hour Book, Nick Raithel shares what the process entails.    3 Things We Learned  Books boost credibilityBeing able to hand a book to potential sellers immediately gives us a layer of authenticity. Having a book shows our clients that we are serious about what we do. By having a published book, we can gain trust and build rapport much faster.  Keep it simpleOur books should concentrate on 4 principles, and then offer some insight to our backgrounds. This keeps the content easy to process, and ensures the book stays focused. The insight to our personal lives helps the reader bond with us and shows our human side.  Don’t wait - write it nowSo often, people wait to share the perfect idea. That’s not necessary. Rather than letting the search for perfect content stop us, we need to share what we do know and use well-known quotes and examples to back it up.  In the current state of uncertainty in the market, we have to demonstrate to our potential clients that we are the most obvious choice. Writing a book gives us a chance to do that, as well as help us build emotional connections with our readers. The process doesn’t need to be difficult - as long as we keep it simple, we can get started right away and start building a great platform for ourselves.   Guest Bio-  Nick Raithel is the creator of The 7-Hour Book, a system designed to help entrepreneurs accelerate their success by writing a book that only takes 7 hours of their time.   One of the best ways to build authority, transform your investor brand, give value, and get more opportunities is by writing a book and publishing it. The only factor that stops you as an entrepreneur or investor is lack of time. Nick Raithel, the creator of the 7-Hour Book, turns unmanageable to manageable as he reveals how you can write a book in just seven hours. Find out the secret formula as he gives a high-level overview of those hours and learn how to create book ambassadors who will help you scale your business. — Listen to the podcast here: How Just 7 Hours Can Transform Your Investor Brand Nick Raithel Unlocks Your Power To Become An Author If you’re looking for practical tips and advice on mitigating and eliminating risk with the investment vehicle known as private mortgage lending, then you’re in the right place. If you want to learn from my mistakes so that you can avoid them, then pull up a chair. This show is created for those who are looking to take control of their financial future by doing what it takes to create wealth in the marathon of life with old world techniques and values. I’m looking to create a tribe of lenders that will disrupt the way we think about and teach our kids about money. Speaking of money, this episode will be geared more towards the borrowers out there and a few lenders as well. I would imagine those who would want to borrow from a private lender would find an interest in our guest as I have the pleasure of speaking to http://contentcorps.net/ (Nick Raithel). He has a very impressive business model that holds your hands and walks you into becoming your own author of your own book in a very short amount of time. It’s a cool idea from an interesting individual. I want to introduce him to Lender Nation. Before we get into the interview with Nick and learn how he does his magic, I have some news to share. There’s going to be a big piece of humble pie coming my way because not too long ago I said I was going to give up sponsors and focus on other things, content and whatnot, which I have done. At the same time, these opportunities come to take on a sponsor, which is https://www.questtrustcompany.com/ (Quest Trust Company). They can’t pay me. It’s a symbiotic relationship where I’m able to teach classes with them. I sponsor their events and they in turn are sponsoring the podcast leading up into their expo. They’re having their big self-directed IRA Expo, the second one ever. The promo code is PLPodcast for a 25% discount. I’m bringing back sponsorships for the https://questira.lpages.co/quest-expo/ (Quest IRA Expo) on August 23. I’ll also be there hosting a happy hour the night before it starts in the hotel bar. When I say hosting, I don’t know how many cocktails I’m going to buy but at least, we’ll be there. We’re going to have a cool event organized with a lot of the vendors and VIPs that will be showing up at the conference. — You’re in for a treat because I have http://contentcorps.net/ (Nick Raithel) on with us. He has an interesting business model that can help perhaps lenders and investors alike. He has an interesting story. I can’t wait to get into it. Let’s go ahead and welcome Nick Raithel. Nick Raithel has a thing about ‘7’ – he hosts the podcast, 7 Rules For Real Estate Investing, and is also the creator of the 7-Hour Book. On his real estate podcast, Nick interviews a broad spectrum of successful property investors to distill their best seven investment rules, so we thought we would flip the tables and get him to summarise the top seven rules for real estate investing from all of the guests on his podcast. While the 7-Hour Book is a proven system that allows you to get your own professionally published book, while spending only seven hours of your time to achieve it. Yes, you did read that right – just seven hours of your time. Now I can honestly say that writing and publishing my books The Freedom Formula and most recently Get Invested are the best things that I have ever done. Why? There’s a whole bunch of reasons: It helped clarify my thinking and better communicate what we do and how we do it. The books have created thought leadership, authority, credibility and respect in our industry The book allows me to get my unique message to many people at the same time and attract people who believe what we believe and educate them so they are ready for us to help them. The authority that flows from my books have created a multitude of media opportunities, speaking gigs My book has been the best business card I have ever had and it is the gift that just keeps on giving. A book is the ultimate way to share your insights and be recognised – it is an entry ticket to a much bigger game. Yet the issue is always finding the time to write it. Now my book The Freedom Formula took 18 months of blood, sweat and tears from woe to go and involved countless hours, late nights, weekends and writing ‘holiday’ sabbaticals to get it done – I was effectively out of our business for six months to make it happen. But if I had known that it could have been produced using Nick’s service with just seven hours of my time, then it would not have impacted on my role in the business and I still would have had book that I am proud of. Now I know that most of you are thinking ‘a book is not for me’, ‘I don’t know what I would write about’, ‘no-one would be interested’ and ‘I wouldn’t know where to start it is just too daunting’ – I felt the same initially but it is amazing what you know and take for granted that others would love to know – and a book is the perfect vehicle. So here is a great opportunity to hear the top seven rules property investing and learn how you can rocket your recognition by publishing your very own book in seven hours. If we want to write a book, we have to take stock of those things and start with what we already know. How books create the good kind of scarcity  In economics, scarcity is a good thing. If we become the only person in our market with a book, we become scarce. That makes us someone people will want to work with. Furthermore, we will have a calling card for podcasts, and even television or print. How to “bake” ambassadors into your book One of the most overlooked ways to market a book is to bake other people into it. We can include people who have a large following (who are not our competitors) in the appendix of our books or resources. Essentially, it will give us book ambassadors, and they can promote it on their social media.   There are many people in this business who have a book in them, but they just don’t know it. With the confidence to know that we have something of value on our hands, we can really create something that will give us a legacy. Nothing rivals a book when it comes to prestige, aura, and credentials.   Guest Bio- Nick Raithel is the founder of The 7-Hour Book. Real Estate Investing Profits Master Series with Cory Boatright

I’m changing it up a little bit on today’s episode of the Profit Master Podcast. Typically I bring on amazing real estate investors to share their profit master strategies, but today I’m talking to Nick Raithel. He’s the creator of Content Corps, and he helps expert investors like you write and sell their own books. Think about it – a book can be your own personal business card. You could sell it at conventions or carry it with you to meetings. Writing a book is a great way to help your expertise go viral and really position yourself as an authority in real estate. Are people always asking you how you do what you do? Do you find yourself giving advice to other people more often than not? I was always experiencing that, and that’s why I wrote my own book. Having a book is amazing way to start a conversation and find leads for your business. Clients are more likely to trust an investor who’s published a book or two, and you’ll establish yourself as an authority in real estate investment just by sharing what you already know about this business. Seriously consider what writing a book could mean for you and if it could truly benefit your business plan. If you’re interested in writing a book, take a look at Nick’s process at Content Corps. It’s called The 7-Hour Book and he breaks down that process a little bit on today’s episode. He shares the different strategies you can take to tackling your own book, and he’s somewhat of an expert when it comes to marketing. He is in the business of supporting entrepreneurs in leveling up their credibility by providing a way to stand out. Check out: http://contentcorps.net for more information! First - Why would you want your own book? Here are a few reasons (of many): 1) You'll be seen as an authority... So prospects contact you - NOT the other way around And your clients can send you more referrals 2) You'll get new opportunities, like... Offers to travel and speak at events Invitations to be on TV, radio, and podcasts Consulting or coaching gigs Now - What is "The 7-Hour Book"? The 7-Hour Book is a system that allows you to get your own professionally-published book in just 7 hours. With NO work. How does it work? You answer questions on the book over Skype. (7 calls X 1hr./each) Your answers are then used to create, publish, and market your book. Everything is done for you - yet you remain in full control. And the entire process only takes 7 hours of your time (NOT all at once). That's why it's called, The 7-Hour Book. Words of Wisdom: "You need to stand out. You need to find a way to prove that you are credible." "There is always a way to open any door." Thank you so much to Nick for being on our show! Thank you to you for listening! Nick Raithel is the creator of "The 7 Hour Book". This proven system allows any business owner to get their own professionally-published book while spending only 7 hours of their time on it. With the 7-Hour Book, Nick is on a mission to help business owners become influential authorities by helping them publish a professional book telling their incredible stories. Nick Raithel Jaime Jay welcomes Nick Raithel to today's podcast. Nick is a missionary. Not in the religious sense. He is in the business of promoting business leaders' accomplishments by helping them publish a professional book telling their incredible stories. Why Books? You need to separate yourself and stand out from the noise and clutter. You have to do something to position yourself sway from all that. A book does just that. It's also a way to leave a legacy and be more than just a business owner. What you have with a book is a business card that people don't throw away. It opens up new opportunities you would not otherwise have. Listen to #srtp podcast to learn how you can have your own book created in 7 hours http://www.stopridingthepine.com/nick-raithel/Tweet This A book takes your insights, your knowledge, your unique experiences in your niche and puts them in tangible form. It's easy to find, easily accessible and presents the writer as an expert.  "I'm on a mission to get the recognition that business leaders deserve for their achievements." - Nick Raithel Where to Begin? The first step is to begin by thinking about what it is you specifically within the next 6 months to year-and-a-half want the book to lead to? Do you want a speaking career, consulting career or want it to bring in more leads for your current business? Work backward from your goal and figure out what steps you need to absolutely kill your goal. 7-Hour Book Keep in mind this does not include writing, publishing and marketing in 7 hours. That would be a bit daunting. You might get a half page book. What it really means is the client only has to spend 7 hours of their own time on it. Nick is a marketer and not a writer. A pure writing service like a ghost writer could not be a business. Nick's company makes your book sound good and every word counts. He focuses your book's goal achieving the objective you desire. Your book needs to have real world application and not just sound pretty. If you want to learn how Nick Raithel does it, then make sure to listen to this episode.  You can also check out his links below to learn more about him.  He welcomes all questions, comments, and inquiries! In this episode of the SaaS Business Podcast, Ron Gaver's guest is Nick Raithel of Content Corps. Nick and Ron discuss the unique requirements startups have for content marketing. Nick points out some of the “dos” and “don'ts” of content marketing stressing the need to begin by building relationships with clients before trying to market their products or services. He describes road-mapping, a tool used by Content Corps to plot a client's marketing course, delve into competitors' tactics, and define success in advance. He discusses how road-mapping can save you time and money. He discusses the various types of content and channels for content marketing. One of his favorite types of content is email courses. When done correctly, email courses can help you win your customers' loyalty. When done incorrectly, they may turn customers away because they are perceived as marketing. With email courses and content marketing in general, the idea is to lead with value and avoid creating content that is nothing more than a thinly concealed sales pitch. He examines the various ways entrepreneurs can use social media to amplify their content by building relationships and increasing audience exposure. He then points out that published books are often overlooked as a marketing tool to build personal authority and set you apart from your competitors. Nick closes out the show with the four most damaging content marketing mistakes aspiring entrepreneurs make and offers an exclusive bonus to listeners of the SaaS Business Podcast in the form of free course tools. See SaaSBusinessPodcast.com/018 for transcript. Please see Disclosure* (below transcript) concerning affiliate links on this page. #AskGaryVee – Nick Raithel used #AskGaryVee (Gary Vaynerchuk) as an example of repurposing content. See the separate entry for Gary in this list for more information about him and what he does. Listen or read at 36:30. Audible* – I'm a podcaster. I like audio. I can listen while I do other things. Audible is now part of Amazon.com. In this episode, Nick Raithel recommends Audible to those of us with busy lives as a way to educate ourselves on the go. New users receive a 30-day free trial, as well as one free story when they register. Listen or read at 40:53. AWeber* – I am an AWeber customer and affiliate. AWeber is email marketing software. I find it to be an affordable solution satisfying my current needs. AWeber employees and (and as far as I know disinterested) third parties have told me that messages sent by AWeber end up in the Spam folder less often than some of their competitors' messages because of their conservative approach. Erik Harbison, the Chief Marketing Officer for AWeber, will be discussing the marketing stack for a SaaS company in an upcoming episode (it is in post-production now). The episode is about the various marketing tools he has used for SaaS companies more than it is about AWeber. This is in alignment with what Nick Raithel says in this episode. Listen or read at 22:53. Buffer – I am a Buffer user. Buffer is SaaS for social media automation. Buffer currently provides queues, schedules, and analytics for Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Integrations with the browser and smartphones make buffering a post easy. Reposting (at least on the basic plan) turns into a manual process, which has driven me to another app for reposting and may eventually lead to me discontinuing Buffer. Buffer analyzes engagements with your posts and can suggest an optimized schedule based on maximum engagement. Buffer can monitor Instagram for engagement but does not provide the capability to post to Instagram. Listen or read at 19:11. Buzzsumo – According to the site, Buzzsumo allows you to analyze “what content performs best for any topic or competitor,” and to “find the key influencers to promote your content.” The current pricing model has the starter plan for bloggers and small teams at too high a price point for me to try at this time. Other guests have recommended it, and I hear good things from elsewhere. If is seems like a tool you need and you can justify the price, I think you should give it a try. Listen or read at 19:28. Content Corps – Content Corps Is Nick Raithel's company specializing in content marketing services for startups. Their services cover the gamut of content marketing. Some specific areas of focus are road-mapping the customer's current and future state, creating an editorial calendar for consistent content production, creating email courses, helping clients publish books to enhance their personal and brand authority, and tailored social media engagement. Content Corps Bonuses for SaaS Business Podcast Listeners – Nick Raithel has provided two free courses as an exclusive bonus to SaaS Business Podcast listeners: “Deadly Mistakes in Content Marketing” and “The Faster Content Mini-Course.” According to Nick, the first is “a quick guide showing you seven mistakes you must avoid when doing content marketing,” and the second is “a short, actionable mini-course to help you learn faster ways to create killer content for your blog and social media.” Listen or read at 44:22. Drip – Drip is email marketing software that allows you (according to the site) “to trigger an email, campaign or tag based on any action a user takes, be it expressing interest in a topic, downloading a sample chapter of your book, starting a trial of your software, or viewing your upgrade page.” Drip also provides a visual workflow design capability for your marketing campaigns. Listen or read at 04:54. Gary Vaynerchuk – “Gary Vee” started out doing irreverent videos about wine. He is not your typical wine snob, and this set him apart. Add to that a fair amount of hustle and you will find Gary the author of five books available on Amazon,* videos, a podcast, etc. His books are about the things has done and how to do them. His book Crush It is about personal branding and Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook is about standing on in a noisy world. Listen or read at 36:30. Infusionsoft – Infusionsoft is a marketing stack for small businesses. They currently provide email marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) with all plans. Other plans provide sales automation and e-commerce. Listen or read at 22:53. MailChimp – MailChimp is email marketing software. Listen or read at 22:53. Marcus Aurelius – A Roman emperor's reflections on Stoic philosophy, published from 170-180 AD. Nick Raithel alludes to this work in his discussion about how personal study into Stoicism can give an entrepreneur mental toughness when facing challenges and disappointments. Listen or read at 43:18. Salesforce – Salesforce is one of the original SaaS companies to make it “big.” Originally customer relationship management (CRM) SaaS, it is now more of an ecosystem of apps and extensions. Founder and CEO Marc Benioff has chronicled the history of the company in his book Behind the Cloud* written with Carlyle Adler. Dreamforce, their annual expo, draws more than 100,000 people to San Francisco. If you click on the link provided, you should recognize some of the speakers. Nick Raithel mentions Salesforce as the model of what most SaaS businesses are not likely to become stating that most successful SaaS entrepreneurs are more like to become “quiet millionaires” like those studied in the book The Millionaire Next Door (see entry in this list). Listen or read at 42:30. Seneca* – When Nick Raithel discussed Stoic philosophy and its applicability to modern entrepreneurship, he specifically mentions Letters from a Stoic*. To illustrate this similarity here is an excerpt from Amazon's webpage [preceding link] about Letters from a Stoic: “This selection of Seneca's letters shows him upholding the austere ethical ideals of Stoicism—the wisdom of the self-possessed person immune to overmastering emotions and life's setbacks….” I'm not sure you can get that into 140 characters. It may be a bit too much for us today. Listen or read at 43:18. Stoicism* – Nick Raithel mentioned Stoic philosophy having applicability to modern entrepreneurship. See the entries for Marcus Aurelius and Seneca in this list. Listen or read at 43:18 The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy* by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko – Originally written in 1998 and revised in 2010, the book presents the results of a study of millionaires and identifies seven common traits. Nick Raithel mentioned the book as a good fit for SaaS entrepreneurs. Listen or read at 41:13.
