How would things have gone with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn if there wasn't a Covid pandemic?
Gain of Function Research, Lab Leaks? Wer sollte über solche Wissenschaft entscheiden? »Wissenschaft ist nicht einfrieren von Erkenntnis« Zur Cochrane Studie über Masken siehe Podcast Episode 72. Was bedeutet Krisenmanagement in solchen Situationen? »Luxury beliefs are the new status symbols«, Rob Henderson Das Verhalten der Wissenschaft während der Pandemie wurde von einzelnen hochrangigen Wissenschaftern wie John Ioannidis untersucht, und das Ergebnis war wenig schmeichelhaft: »Even the best peer-reviewed journals often presented results with bias and spin.« »Whatever the origins of the virus, the refusal to abide by formerly accepted norms has done its own enormous damage.« »most of this work was of low quality, often wrong, and sometimes highly misleading.« »The disdain for reliable study designs was even celebrated.« »Big Tech companies […] developed powerful censorship machineries« »There was a clash between two schools of thought, authoritarian public health versus science—and science lost.« Man muss sich nach solchen Analysen natürlich die Frage stellen: Sind unsere Wissenschaftstugenden mittlerweile völlig korrodiert? »The dictatorship of the future will be very unlike the dictatorships we experienced in the past. […] If you want to preserve your power indefinitely, you have to get the consent of the ruled. […] Making him actually love his slavery. Being happy under the new regime.«, Aldous Huxley Das Totalitäre ist stärker von klaren Strukturen und nicht von Inhalten bestimmt: »Das Totalitäre ist stärker ein wie als ein was.« Referenzen Andere Episoden Episode 88: Liberalismus und Freiheitsgrade, ein Gespräch mit Prof. Christoph Möllers Episode 85: Naturalismus — was weiß Wissenschaft? [SEGMENT 1-2] Biden v Trump in MI Joe Biden is getting crushed. It started in 2019 the minute Biden declared his run for the presidency. Biden couldn't legitimately beat the other Democrats running against him. So when he got the approval from the Leftist shot-callers Biden became the patsy who would lose to Trump. Trump was unbeatable in 2020. As unbeatable as the 2008 Obama. Invincible. Beatable only through massive voter fraud. No need to recount all the signs. But if Joe Biden couldn't get 100 people to show up to a rally, how in the hell would he beat Trump; a successful president who flipped millions of independents and Democrats. Trump got the most votes ever by a sitting president. Trump may be the only president in history who got 7 million more votes than his first election and lost. By comparison, Barack Obama got almost 4 million less votes in 2012 versus 2008 and won. Big. If Biden makes it to the 2024 election (and he won't), he will likely lose more votes than any sitting president in history. No Covid scamdemic to rely on, thus a lot fewer mail-in ballots. But the worst thing to happen to Biden is he and his party are becoming almost universally hated. Even his own people won't cheat for him now. Michigan will offer some idea of the carnage to come. The Washington Post reported, The Biden-Harris pep rally at a union hall here was thrown together quickly, not wanting Donald Trump's visit to Oakland County the next day to go unchecked. The two events could not have been more different, either in scale or in tone. A small community of Democratic activists came Friday, seeking the jolt of energy they felt their campaign lacked, and their anxiety was palpable, both for the difficulties of winning and the consequences of failure. I love that description, "A small community of Democratic activists". In other words, a smattering of people. Not even enough to bother to count; and yes, it would have been an easy count. By contrast, look at how WaPo reported the Trump event: Then on Saturday, a mass of Trump supporters waited hours in the cold for a glimpse of their champion and the collective thrill of pouring out their passions to his routine of insults and vows and threats. These competing gatherings offered a glimpse of the strategies both sides are pursuing in the run-up to November, with many expecting a Biden-Trump rematch at the ballot box. Democrats are looking for ways to revitalize voters who sided with President Biden in 2020, as polls show his approval rating stuck in negative territory. Trump is using a polarizing pitch to animate his base, excoriating his critics and decrying the 91 criminal charges he is facing. Insults against Trump notwithstanding, the warning comes through load and clear: Democrats have an uninspired base. In what appears to be a wake for a person everybody hated, WaPo further describes the Democrat event: The Democrats met in a beige room with a fluorescent glow, one of the many modest labor offices that dot metro Detroit like old VFW posts or churches or chain stores. There were far too many black folding chairs for the dusting of attendees, and one of the organizers encouraged everyone to move up to the front. But the greater challenge was just getting people to sit down from their side conversations. No one here was a stranger. They knew each other from past campaigns, from presidential to the most local — the latest being convincing voters to approve a property tax to fund public transit. They were the most reliable, committed party faithful, here to freshen up their enthusiasm and messages so they could go on to inspire their networks on behalf of an incumbent president who, admittedly, was not doing a lot of inspiring on his own. “They're not going, ‘Oh, I'm voting for this one because I think he's the best,'” confided the host city's mayor, Roslyn Grafstein. “There seems to be a lot of apathy.” Most of the people couldn't afford the gas to drive to the event. But even if gas prices were Trump era, they still wouldn't have come. Democrats want to believe there is some magic bullet to winning--not counting Dominion, of course. Thus, they refuse to believe how bad things are under Biden. Far worse, they continue the delusion that Biden has actually performed as a "hero", I read one Democrat defector say of Biden. Oh the irony. And if you want a "rock and a hard place" scenario, take a look what they write next: As much as Democrats here knew they cannot afford to take anything for granted in this crucial county in this crucial state that could decide the electoral college — and as much as they stressed the stakes of the election, for rights from abortion to voting — they also acknowledged that they were still searching for a way to energize a worried and weary electorate. To one speaker, that meant not just warning about the perils of a second Trump term, but also promoting the possibilities of four more years of Biden. The next day it was Trump's turn. As WaPo wrote, The next day, in Waterford Township, thousands of people started lining up outside the Oakland County airport, their breath pluming in the cold wind as they waited for hours in temperatures below 30 degrees. Their heavy coats concealed their festive Trump-branded apparel, which they could supplement at swag stands hawking Trump hats and Trump gloves, alongside bumper stickers reading “Joe and the Hoe Gotta Go” and “USA, Love It or Leave It.” A Trump float rolled up and down the road blasting classic rock and blaring “Save America!” Through the Secret Service screening, it was still cold inside an unheated plane hangar, but packed enough that some coats could come off to reveal a T-shirt that said “Democrats are Communists,” and another with the word “BULL” next to a caricature of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). People wait for Trump in the cold, but they won't wait for Biden in a 5-star restaurant with the promise of steak, caviar, and champagne. The quandary: No second-term Trump, but promote another term for Biden. And Democrats wonder why they are losing voters en masse to Trump? Democrats believe they can scare their voters into voting for Captain Demento. If Democrats are waiting for inspiration from Biden, they really are optimists. And they know what optimism looks like. Because it looks like Trump. [SEGMENT 1-3] Biden's list of problems 1 Biden's DoJ They were sent out to arrest a whistleblower (only democrat whistleblowers are protected, as we know) who said Biden took bribes from Burisma, per Alexander Simirnov, 43. So, naturally, Biden must punish this man for such a claim. Why, as we all know, Biden knew nothing of his son's business dealings, and had no financial stake in any of it. He said so, so it must be true. Please do not believe your lying eyes. 'The Big Guy' The Big Guy is also attacking the media for daring to report about his mishandling of classified documents. He is working on a spin to make it seem that not only did he not do anything wrong, but he was doing us a favor. To show his sincerity, he apologized to Michigan voters, especially in Dearborn, which has a huge Arab community, for his response to the Oct. 7 attacks. Suddenly, they were not so bad, and perhaps even justified. UNA senior UN executive, Martin Griffhs, claims that the UN does not view Hamas as a terrorist group, (! Ed) even though multiple nations have labeled them as terrorists for years. He claims that this war in Gaza (which has claimed about 30,000 lives to date) is the worst humanitarian crisis in his lifetime. Of course, that ignores the Cambodian slaughter at the end of Vietnam, that murdered 3 million people. And Syria, which has racked up more than 600,000 dead so far. And a variety of African nations, with tens of thousands killed. (Or the totally concocted 'Covid 19' debacle that claimed upwards to 17-million..... Ed) But the west in general does not care about those p

Here we are three years later, and there is no reckoning. People have moved on, and conservative leaders have led people astray without a way forward. Today, I explain why there has been no reckoning and why we absolutely need one. From gain-of-function research and emergency powers to dangerous vaccines, the biomedical security state is quietly tightening the noose around our necks. I offer the latest data and news on the vaccine and provide a blueprint for the strategies and outcomes we should be pushing. Unfortunately, so long as Trump is the party leader, that reckoning is going to be very difficult. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Why did China suddenly go from draconian Covid restrictions to an "anything goes" approach? The nation where the coronavirus originated kept a lid on it for three years and an easing was expected after the October Communist Party congress. But to go from Covid protests in November to suddenly opening the floodgates and stopping the count on casualties makes for a stunning U-turn.

There never was a Pandemic. There is NO COVID. There is NO Threat to Public Safety. There is NO REASON to panic, yet people are still REALLY believing what the CBC has to say on this issue and thus, your kids will be wearing face-diapers again, and you WON'T do anything about it!
Arizona Secretary of State-elect slams election deniers as MAGA fascists. Why are good job numbers bad? COVID patent waiver denied. 'Heartbreaking' and 'Pathetic': US Obstructs Patent Waiver for Covid Tests and Treatments: "There have been at least 290,000 deaths from Covid-19 since the WTO punted on the question of global access to tests and treatments back in June," said one advocate. "How many more need to die before the U.S. joins the right side of history?" Arizona Democratic Secretary of State Winner: They're not election deniers. They're MAGA Fascist: Arizona Secretary of State-elect Adrian Fontes, first and foremost, wants election deniers addressed correctly. They are #MAGA #Fascists. FACT! Our economic system preys on great news for the poor and working class. WHY?: The job market remains strong. We do not have either manufactured shortages or corporate incompetence. Yet the working-class are made to pay. Why? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/politicsdoneright/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/politicsdoneright/support

The past two and a half years have been some of the most difficult our nation has ever faced. A virus with a 99.9% survival rate was used to ignore our Constitution and impose tyranny on peaceful citizens. At fault? The President of the United States, unelected bureaucrats, and power-hungry governors who misused their power to bring the American people to their knees emotionally and financially. Now that the truth is finally being talked about in the open (because yes, the suppression of free speech was part of the tyranny of the past two years) — those who yelled at the unvaccinated, fired them, and otherwise treated anyone who questioned the narrative with disdain want us to forget it ever happened. We can never forget. There must be justice and there must be consequences —because if we do not hold these people accountable for willfully lying to us, this will happen again. We can never forget what they did. We must never forget the people who died alone, the children who lost out on their education, the graduations that will never happen, the mass psychosis, and the people who died as a result of being forced to take an experimental shot. The response to Covid by our nation was criminal. It should be treated that way.
The US Open begins in New York today, but you won't be seeing arguably the world's best tennis player of all time over stupidity. Novak Djokovic is banned from entering the US because he isn't vaccinated. This is beyond stupid. Without trying to sound like Dr Napear, I think it is pretty "common sense clear" that being jabbed, or not really doesn't matter. in terms of getting covid. Again, this makes zero sense! Life and business necessarily intersect. In the last 13 weeks, we've seen births, divorce, death, war, inflation, new hires, sales records, con artists, cancer diagnosis, treatments, remissions, birthdays, renewed vision, record monthly revenue, and record monthly expenses. There is a word that is being suggested in the public discussion of psychology right now that is worth taking a look at… the word LANGUISH. To languish is to “lose or lack vitality… being forced to remain in an unpleasant place or situation” Author and Org Psychologist Adam Grant says… It's not burnout, because we still have physical fuel. It's not depression because we still have hope. So what is the unpleasant place? War? No Inflation? No COVID? No What is causing us to feel weak and withered, to feel LANGUISHED? DISTRACTION Translation - we are willfully allowing ourselves to be pulled apart… pulled away. Distraction (distrahere in latin) = PULL APART We've all felt being pulled apart before… When a relationship goes sour or ends…we feel pulled apart and the nutrients of that relationship begin drying up CS Lewis on the loss of his friend Charles Williams- “Now that Charles is dead, I shall never again see Ronald's [Tolkien's] reaction to a specifically Charles joke. Far from having more of Ronald, having him “to myself” now that Charles is away, I have less of Ronald” This is our new reality, and with it, we must find new ways for each of us to Flourish… new ways to both remain attached and ignore the things that will distract.. NOW is a time for something different. NOW is a time to pivot, to stop staring at the ball of fire that was the last two years, to see what was melted down, turned to ash, and begin to till that into the soil of something new. On average… Check email 74 times per day (and yet vigorously defend it) We are said to switch tasks every 10 minutes (b/c we are checking email 74 times a day) “Gloria Mark, Ph.D., associate professor at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, and a leading expert on work, researched workplace interruptions and came to a fascinating conclusion: We don't have workdays -- we have work minutes that last all day. It takes 23 minutes to get back on task” I keep saying it BUT ARE WE DOING ANYTHING DIFFERENT? Grant suggests that we do not fight Languish with Optimism (that's empty)... but instead we fight Languish with FLOW Before we do… what is FLOW? Johann Hari has written a powerful book entitled Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention - And How To Begin Working Deeply In his book, Hari describes flow as a state of mind when “you are so absorbed in what you are doing that you lose all sense of yourself, and time seems to fall away, and you are flowing into the experience itself.” Flow is not focused on results. In fact, sometimes the outcome can bring a bit of sadness because the project is complete. We don't know how to prioritize the limited resource of time we have. So how do we find our FLOW? Fascination (Desire) All things begin w/ desire John Gardner wrote, “The renewal of societies and organizations can go forward only if someone cares (has desire - an unstoppable push to accomplish something that matters).” Hari says, “when your mind wanders, it starts to make new connections” Hari interviewed Neurology and Neurosurgery Professor at McGill University Dr. Nathan Spring who said, “Creativity is not (where you create) some new thing that has emerged from your brain…It's a new association between two things that were already there.” 74 times a day we forfeit the opportunity for our brains to make connections of impulses that are already there!!! Like-Mindedness (People & Culture) Like-minded people aligned in principles and values move together. The catalyst for like-mindedness? Challenge and uphill battles Joe McNamera - “Nothing brings people together, like shared adversity”...with predictable and repetitive communication The third element of FLOW is your Operational Process In your head right now, you long-termers are eye-rolling and thinking, “this isn't new content!!!” NO!, b/c we cannot afford new content around the area of documented process b/c without it life swims in amnesia… and we waste our time starting from scratch everyday. Small businesses are notorious for “makin' it up as we go”, “shootin' from the hip brother!”, and reacting to every impulse that comes their way like the inflatable TUBE MAN. Except the tube man actually has you beat… at least it's tethered to the ground! Process brings boundaries, boundaries bring FREEDOM! You want the freedom of flow? Capture the process Own the process Share the process and repeat the process The final element of FLOW Wealth that you can draw from “Can't operate from an empty tank”... can't help others if you've got nothing to help them with… AND NOT JUST MONEY! Financial Wealth - for with it we have access to open doors that can benefit more people Intellectual Wealth - for with it, we can open minds and influence decisions Hari writes, “57% of Americans now do not read a single book in a typical year” “Everywhere I have sought peace and not found it, except in a corner with a book.” - Thomas a Kempis “Those who cannot read are the same disadvantage as those who DO NOT read” Relational Wealth - for with it we can open communities Without wealth, walls are erected There is a reason that we are emphatic on When we find our FLOW… we FLOURISH, liberate ourselves from chaos, and make time for the things that matter most.

On this week's episode of Coffee with Closers, we talk with Mark Tomlinson, the Administrator of a remote British outpost in the South Pacific called Pitcairn Islands. It is one of the few places in the world that hasn't had a single confirmed case of COVID-19. Tomlinson discusses his day-to-day duties as Administrator of an Island of approximately 50 people and the challenging but necessary task of getting Covid vaccines from the UK all the way to Pitcairn. He also talked about his professional life as a British Foreign Service Officer.
Josh and David open with a discussion of Josh's cross-country road trip and the state's effort to remove racist language from the state constitution. Former Republican state senator Dick Brewbaker zooms in to discuss his decision to leave the Republican Party, the cult of Trump, and the plight of public education. They wrap with a discussion of Alabama schools inability to feed kids, and the astonishing lack of concern by state officials, and this week's Rightwing Nut of the Week. Send us a question: We take a bit of time each week to answer questions from our audience about Alabama politics — or Alabama in general. If you have a question about a politician, a policy, or a trend — really anything — you can shoot us an email at apwproducer@gmail.com or with this form. You can also send it to us on Facebook and Twitter. Or by emailing us a voice recording to our email with your question, and we may play it on air. Either way, make sure you include your name (first name is fine) and the city or county where you live.
