The Donald Jeffries Show 4-13-2022 Scott Enyart On 6th June 1968, Scott Enyart, a 15-year-old high school student, a high-school student, was taking photographs of Senator Robert F. Kennedy as he was walking from the ballroom of the Ambassador Hotel to the Colonial Room where the press conference was due to take place. Enyart was standing slightly behind Kennedy when the shooting began and snapped as fast as he could. As Enyart was leaving the pantry, two LAPD officers accosted him at gunpoint and seized his three, 36-exposure rolls of film. Later, he was told that the photographs were needed as evidence in the trial of Sirhan Sirhan. The photographs were not presented as evidence but the court ordered that all evidential materials had to be sealed for twenty years. In1988 Enyart requested that his photographs be returned. At first, the State Archives claimed they could not find them and that they must have been destroyed by mistake. Enyart filed a lawsuit which finally came to trial in 1996. During the trial, the LA city attorney announced that the photos had been found in its Sacramento office and would be brought to the courthouse by the courier retained by the State Archives. The following day it was announced that the courier's briefcase, which contained the photographs, had been stolen from the car he rented at the airport. The photographs have never been recovered and the jury subsequently awarded Scott Enyart $450,000 in damages. Scott and Don Jeffries discuss how it felt to be at the center of such an important historical event. The assassination of Robert F. Kennedy is one of the US's most significant mysteries of the 20th Century. Lee Camp interviews Lisa Pease, the author of “A Lie Too Big To Fail,” to get a deeper view of the political killing. Sirhan Sirhan was blamed for the assassination but research from Pease opens a hole in the case. The counter-narrative that she presents involves hypnotism, MKUltra, a starter pistol loaded with blanks, and a second shooter connected to intelligence organizations. This story is important right now because Sirhan could be paroled soon. He doesn't represent a threat to anyone and he deserves his freedom. Naomi Karavani reports on the entrepreneurship of Harry Windsor and Meghan Markle. They've started to promote mental health awareness and their campaign is just as tone deaf as you'd expect from former members of the British royal family. Therapy is effective, helpful, and unaffordable for the majority of people living in the US. The only advice they can really give us is, “Have you tried being unimaginably wealthy?” Jaffer Khan reports on the crisis faced by immigrant taxi drivers in New York City. The drivers are forced into debt as they compete for the million-dollar medallions that they need to do their jobs. In response the drivers have been rallying for debt forgiveness.
Lisa Pease is the author of A Lie Too Big To Fail: The Real History of the Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.
Political assassinations are an unfortunately frequent occurrence in American history. Fanatics and ideologues have felt compelled to kill public servants based on what they believed was required by their personal philosophical views at an alarming rate.In this episode, we examine the strange trial of Sirhan Sirhan, the man who murdered Senator Robert Kennedy at the Los Angeles Ambassador Hotel on June 5, 1968 over his vocal support of the state of Israel.Sirhan was born in Jerusalem to Arab parents, who moved to California, ironically, to escape the violence of the Middle East. As a devoutly religious man, Sirhan became enmeshed in a mystical religious group who taught that sacrifice could bring him closer to unity with the divine. An aimless youth outside of his theological belief structure, he became increasingly anti-Zionist and anti-Israel. After the Six Day War took place in 1967, Sirhan became consumed with opposing anything and anyone who supported Israel, and that included Robert Kennedy. In response, Sirhan gunned down Kennedy in a room full of witnesses and made incriminating statements both at the scene and to law enforcement while recorded shortly thereafter.Listen as Paul describes how Sirhan's attorneys attempted to claim that Sirhan was insane at the time of the shooting. Paul breaks down the insanity defense to explain what it does and does not cover, and what the protocols and procedures are which need to be exhibited to assert it. Paul also discusses plea bargaining, what the role of the judge is when the prosecutor and defense agree to resolve the case a certain way. Additionally, Paul examines both premeditation and motive, which one needs to be proven to a jury, and why both are still important. Thanks for listening, if you enjoy the show please subscribe and leave a review.

Former president John F. Kennedy's brother Robert Kennedy while running for the democratic nominee for president was assassinated at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California, while walking through the kitchen after giving a speech after his victory in California. The gunman was said to be Sirhan Sirhan but there is evidence to suggest that Sirhan was framed and that there was a second gunman.

Lowenstein was critical of the official account of the June 6, 1968, assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Lowenstein made a one-hour appearance on the PBS television show Firing Line in 1975, where he was interviewed by William F. Buckley Jr., in which he stated that he did not believe that Sirhan Sirhan alone had shot Kennedy, Schrade and the four others who were injured in the shooting are often overlooked players in the assassination that killed Kennedy at the age of 42 amid his ascendant presidential campaign. When Schrade gained consciousness at a nearby hospital, a United Automobile Workers leader came to his bedside and told him the news: Kennedy was dead. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/art-mcdermott/support

The Polka Dot File on the Robert F. Kennedy Killing describes the day-to-day chase for the mystery woman in the polka-dot dress. The book comments on but does not dwell on the police investigation, and reads like a detective thriller instead of an academic analysis of the investigation. It incorporates actual tapes made by an important witness, and introduces the testimony of witnesses not covered in other books and it is a new take on the assassination and the motives for it introduces a new theory for the reasons behind the assassination. Original and highly personal, it reaches a startling and different conclusion not exposed by other books. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

MintCast recently interviewed Lisa Pease, a researcher, former UN expert witness, and author of the recently released book A Lie Too Big To Fail, which has been hailed as the “Magnum Opus of Robert F., Kennedy assassination research.” She spent 25 years researching this book and her research skills and exhaustively documented findings have even been praised by members of RFK’s family such as by his son Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and, more recently, the Washington Post.In the first part of this interview, MintCast co-hosts Alan MacLeod and Whitney Webb spoke to Lisa about the compelling evidence of Sirhan Sirhan’s innocence, how Robert F. Kennedy’s son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also maintains Sirhan’s innocence, and how the assassination’s investigation was covered up by powerful forces in the Los Angeles Police Department and elsewhere. In the second part of the interview, the discussion turned toward the role of the mainstream media and the long-standing connections of many media outlets to the CIA as well as the role of Israel in the Robert F. Kennedy assassination and how the senator’s death was exploited to push the left to support unfettered U.S. military aid to the Israeli state and demonize Palestinians -- as Israeli media and pro-Israel pundits have since labeled Sirhan Sirhan the “first Palestinian terrorist.” The interview concludes with a discussion of why the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) movement should consider taking a look at the compelling evidence of Sirhan’s innocence in order to right a historical wrong that has been used to demonize Palestinians to the American public for decades, as well as the importance of revisiting the high-profile assassinations of the 1960s in order to better understand how those murders have so greatly shaped our world and current political reality.Lisa Pease can be followed on Twitter and her new book is available at Amazon.Support the show (https://www.mintpressnews.com/donations/)
In A Lie Too Big to Fail, longtime Kennedy researcher (of both JFK and RFK) Lisa Pease lays out, in meticulous detail, how witnesses with evidence of conspiracy were silenced by the Los Angeles Police Department; how evidence was deliberately altered and, in some instances, destroyed; and how the justice system and the media failed to present the truth of the case to the public. Pease reveals how the trial was essentially a sham, and how the prosecution did not dare to follow where the evidence led. A Lie Too Big to Fail asserts the idea that a government can never investigate itself in a crime of this magnitude. Was the convicted Sirhan Sirhan a willing participant? Or was he a mind-controlled assassin? It has fallen to independent researchers like Pease to lay out the evidence in a clear and concise manner, allowing readers to form their theories about this event. Pease places the history of this event in the context of the era and provides shocking overlaps between other high-profile murders and attempted murders of the time. Lisa Pease goes further than anyone else in proving who likely planned the assassination, who the assassination team members were, and why Kennedy was deemed such a threat that he had to be taken out before he became President of the United States. Lisa Pease is the author of 'A Lie Too Big to Fail: The Real History of the Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.' Based on more than two decades of investigative research, Pease’s recently published book has already been hailed as “the magnum opus of RFK assassination research” by the acclaimed author of 'JFK and the Unspeakable,' James Douglass.

A new Netflix 4-part series, "Bobby Kennedy for President", devoted significant time to Paul Schrade's fight to find the second gunman that shot Robert Kennedy in the back of the head, after Sirhan Sirhan missed Kennedy entirely. Today, RFK Jr. is calling for a new investigation and he has the support of his older sister, Maryland's former Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

From the assassination of Abraham Lincoln to John F. Kennedy, Dr. Ronald Feinman discusses the dark history of threats and assassinations against U.S. presidents. Feinman also discusses little known assassination plots such as the almost successful attempt on the life of Richard Nixon. Also discussed are threats that were not successfully carried out, including threats against President Obama. He also comments on popular conspiracy theories related to the JFK and RFK assassinations, and the attempt on the life of Ronald Reagan.
On June 5, 1968, after winning a make-or-break Democratic primary election in California, Robert Francis Kennedy thanked his supporters at the Ambassador Ballroom before being whisked into the hotel kitchen. Although he was surrounded by campaign staff, an assassin was able to get close to RFK and put three bullets in him, including a fatal head shot. Although 75 eyewitnesses saw the killing, discrepencies remain in the final story, and questions about the identity of second gunmen, as well as the motives of convicted killer Sirhan Sirhan, are unanswered to this day. Join Brian, Gene and Lee as they investigate The Assasination of RFK on Inside Jobs.
