Types of Response Format We will also be discussing about the different formats in which the server sends us back the response. Episode 146 continues this podcast's continuing spotlight on the wellbeing of the people in public safety. This week Daniel and Ann Crampton, the founders of Status: Code 4i (SC4I) are the guests on Medic2Medic.SC4I was created following the numerous reports of First Responder suicides across the United States and Canada. SC4I is in the unique position to intimately understand the stressors associated with being a First Responder. Their mission is to provide counseling and mental wellness education services to First Responders and their family members. Daniel J. Crampton holds a Doctorate in Psychology and has served as a Paramedic with the Ute Pass Regional Ambulance District for over 23 years. Daniel’s Doctoral Dissertation is titled, “Comparison of PTSD and Compassion Fatigue between Urban and Rural Paramedics". Ann Rush Crampton holds a Ph.D. in Education specializing in Training & Performance Improvement. She is a retired U.S. Air Force officer, and she has spent over 30 years performing duties as an adult educator. While in the Air Force, she was on several Crisis Support Teams and provided Suicide Awareness Training. Daniel talks about his journey and difficult times and Ann tells why including the family in the process is important.

Stell dir vor, du müsstest für jede deiner URLs, die Google crawlt, einen Euro zahlen. Wahrscheinlich wärst du in diesem Fall höchst motiviert die Anzahl deiner URLs auf die wichtigsten zu minimieren, oder? Ganz so fern liegt dieses Gedankenexperiment nicht. Wahrscheinlich ist, dass deine URLs mit eher dünnen Inhalten, wie Off-Topic Forum-Beiträge, irgendwann von Google weniger gecrawlt werden. Das liegt schlicht daran, dass diese Inhalte für Google-User wenig von Nutzen sind und Google sie deshalb als irrelevant einstuft. Woher weiß man aber nun welche URLs reduziert werden sollten und welche nicht? Am sinnvollsten ist es sich die jeweiligen Seiten in Bezug auf ihre Anzahl an Crawls anzuschauen. Das gelingt dir einfach mit deinen Logfile- und Webanalyse-Daten. Die URLs die wenig Traffic bekommen oder eine geringe Sichtbarkeit haben, gilt es dann zu überarbeiten oder zu löschen. In dieser Episode bringt André dir ein Beispiel aus der Praxis nahe, indem er diese Informationen in einer Excel-Tabelle herausgearbeitet hat. Hier wurden die URLs auf die Anzahl an Backlinks, Besucher der letzten drei Monate, Bounce Rate und Conversion Rate hin untersucht. Auf Basis dieser Daten kann dann entschieden werden, ob die URLs weiter im Index bleiben oder nicht. Wird eine URL als überarbeitungswürdig eingestuft, kann man sich zum einen für einen Redirect oder zum anderen für das Löschen der Seite entscheiden. Wann eine Deindexierung sinnvoll ist und warum du zum Löschen einer Seite den Status Code 410, nicht 404, verwenden solltest, erklärt dir André in dieser Episode.
