This weekend Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away kicked off its inaugural run with two nights of dress rehearsals and an opening on Sunday. This new parade, long awaited and hoped for by Walt Disney World fans is simply magical. It's not perfect, but it's simply beautiful and is what has been needed for so long since its ancestors, The Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic had long parted. We visit this parade and talk all the details of what makes it work--and at times, not so perfectly work. It's a must-see event at Walt Disney World and a welcome tradition for years to come. And my belief is, that it will only get better over time. http://www.attractionchecklist.com - We've drug our feet long enough. It's time to go see the Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom on this episode of Attraction Checklist. Attraction audio recorded on May 21, 2025. TRANSCRIPT: Welcome to Attraction Checklist. This episode we visit Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom to check out the Country Bear Jamboree's new show the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. The Walt Disney World website describes this attraction saying: Head over to Frontierland for this newly reimagined show where Henry, Trixie, Big Al and their pals are playin' some of your favorite Disney songs alongside a heapin' helpin' of Southern charm. There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and, in a possible bit of foreshadowing, there is no Thrill Level listed. Before we head to Grizzly Hall, here are five fast facts about the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. 1. In September 2023, Disney announced that the Country Bear Jamboree would be retooled into a new show called the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. The edited original show that had been running closed on January 27, 2024. The new version of the show opened on July 17, 2024. 2. As part of the redesign for the new show, the lobby area of grizzly hall has been festooned with display cases filled with treasures from the history of the Country Bear Jamboree. This includes trophies of awards won by the bears, vintage costume pieces and original paw-written lyrics for songs. 3. Veteran singer, songwriter Mac McAnally was tasked with creating country versions of popular Disney songs for the show. He also provides the voice of Terrance the Shaker in the show as well. 4. The Voice competitor Emily Ann Roberts provides the voice of Trixie and Allison Russell and Chris Thile provide voices for Teddi Barra and Wendell respectively. 5. As part of the revamp, one bear got a name change. Liver Lips McGrowl is now Romeo McGrowl. Romeo is now voiced by Robert “Big Sandy” Williams. With much trepidation, it's now time to visit the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. John B. deHaas is along for the journey and after the show we'll give you our thoughts on this attraction. This is a binaural recording so if you have headphone, put them on now as we visit the Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. If You Know, You Know - Disneyland Deep Cuts We've decided on a new topic series that we couldn't be more excited about. It focuses on some of the best details in the parks that those who visit the parks regularly are aware of but maybe not everyone else. With The Happiest Place On Earth officially hitting 70 this week, we felt it would be best to start there. So, this week, we're bringing you the first in our series, If You Know, You Know - Disneyland Deep Cuts. We'll share some of our favorite hidden, and not-so-hidden, gems from Walt's original park and share them with you. Because if you know, you know! Disney Stories of the Week Once we finish our If You Know, You Know - Disneyland Deep Cuts segment. It's time for the Disney Stories of the Week. Send us a textMichael's fractured clavicle changed everything about this summer's cycling plans, but it led to unexpected adventures worth sharing. While nursing his broken collarbone (or "fractured clavicle" as his doctor insists on calling it), Michael took his family to Kentucky's bourbon country, visiting seven distilleries in a single day - though he made sure the kids had plenty of fun too with stops at a candy factory and the Louisville Slugger Museum. He proudly shows off his new mini Louisville Slugger bat engraved with "Cycling Men of Leisure" - the perfect souvenir for a cyclist temporarily sidelined from riding.Meanwhile, Adam made the most of expiring timeshare points with a spontaneous Disney World trip alongside his wife, who's been dealing with the difficult process of moving her father into memory care. With temperatures soaring both in Florida and back home in Michigan, Adam shares his veteran Disney strategies - knowing exactly where to find air conditioning and even which ride photos to pose for. His childlike joy on Space Mountain proves you're never too old to throw your hands up and smile for the camera. The most difficult decision they faced was what to do about their planned participation in RAIN (Ride Across Indiana). After exploring every possible scenario - including having Michael provide SAG support - they ultimately decided to cancel. "I just did not want to do it without you," Adam explains, capturing the essence of their friendship and podcast partnership. They reflect on how their adventures are meaningful because they're shared experiences, not solo accomplishments.Adam shares surprising bicycle accident statistics (did you know 73% of cycling crashes don't involve motor vehicles?), while Michael recounts the hose incident that led to his injury. The episode culminates with the full Cycling Men of Leisure origin story - how two strangers met during a 2016 Iowa ride and formed a friendship that evolved into a podcast, brand, and growing community united by the philosophy that cycling is about savoring the journey rather than racing to the finish.Subscribe now and join our leisure-focused cycling community! We're throwing on our festive gear and stepping into the holiday spotlight to answer one big question—which Disney after-hours party is the best of the season? Is it the spooky fun of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the cozy charm of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, or the retro glitz of Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios? We're going head-to-head-to-head as we break these parties down across multiple categories—everything from entertainment and character sightings to food, vibes, crowd levels, and overall value. We're each casting our votes in every round, sharing our thoughts (and probably disagreeing a few times), and by the end, we're crowning our pick for the top Disney holiday party of the year.If we're being honest, we know some of you are debating which one to attend—and some of you are just planning to hit all three. Either way, we've got you covered. So we're grabbing our trick-or-treat bag, our Santa hats, and maybe a sparkly blazer or two, and we're inviting you to join us for the ultimate festive face-off!MEI-Travel – Expertise. This is the Live Call-in Show from this past Sunday night, July 13, 2025! Mike was solo on tonight's show, but it was no problem as we had some great calls to take us through the hour! We discussed how this summer turned out a bit differently that Mike thought it might have a couple of years ago - WDW is collecting a bunch of "small wins" and Epic Universe isn't burning quite as hot as he thought it might be. Also, we discussed ideas of a new Deluxe Resort with more of an "in-your-face" Disney theme. Would you enjoy this? We also talked about when your "WDW Golden Days" were, and if they were from your first trips to Walt Disney World! This and much more on today's show! Walt Disney Imagineering invited me on a very special and exclusive tour of their headquarters at 1401 Flower Street in Glendale, California. This tour gave me the chance to chat with Imagineers, visit multiple Imagineering departments (model shop, sculpting, sound, animation, and R&D), attend demonstrations and presentations, and experiment with some innovative Imagineering technology. I got to power on a realistic Star Wars lightsaber, play with the lovable BDX droids from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (Disneyland and Walt Disney World), and touch and feel silicone samples from Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure (Shanghai Disneyland), just to name a few exciting milestones. In addition, I had the opportunity to interview Imagineer Dave Crawford inside Walt Disney Imagineering. All of this will be shared in today's episode. Dave Crawford is a creative ride engineering executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he started in 1998 as a mechanical engineer. He has worked on the ride systems for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, just to name a couple of familiar examples. Dave is also listed as an inventor on over 60 patents and has been involved in every aspect of attraction design and development from early Blue Sky to attraction installation, turnover and certification. 836 · Inside Imagineering: Zsolt Hormay on Sculpting Stories in Disney ParksDo you ever walk through the Disney Parks and say, "How did they do that?" or better yet, "WHO helped bring these incredible places and spaces to life?"I was recently invited into the hallowed halls of Walt Disney Imagineering to discover the answers to those questions, and will have a full recap of what (and who) I saw, as well as just some of Imagineering's legacy, people, and projects as I was taken behind the scenes into where Disney magic is made. And while I was there, I has the privilege of sitting down with Zsolt Hormay, Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering and the sculptor behind some of Disney's most breathtaking environments – from the Tree of Life to Cars Land to the floating mountains of Pandora and Galaxy's Edge. I have known of him and admired his work for decades, so this was not only a special moment for me personally, but we had a wonderful, one-on-one conversation not just about his journey from Hungary to becoming a leading figure in theme park design, but how rockwork becomes storytelling, and the emotional and cultural depth behind the places and spaces he and his team create. From the Tree of Life to Fantasy Springs in Tokyo DisneySea, his work is quite literally etched into the parks we love.I also posted the entire video version on the WDW Radio YouTube channel, and will share even more about what I saw, experienced, and learned during my unforgettable visit to Imagineering on an upcoming podcast episode, so stay tuned!
