    Ivy Insights

The RealPod with Victoria Garrick is a podcast that I discovered through the algorithm, most likely on TikTok in 2020. Since then, I have followed Victoria on every platform and eagerly anticipate listening to each new episode of her podcast. One of my favorite things about The RealPod is Victoria's ability to be relatable and open about her own experiences. Her solo episodes have been particularly enjoyable, as she discusses topics such as loneliness, her journey with sexuality, and analysis of Taylor Swift's music (as a fellow Swiftie, I loved this!). I appreciate her insights on relationships, mental health, and life in general. Victoria has a fun and easy-to-listen-to podcasting style, and she always keeps it real!

One of the best aspects of The RealPod is how relatable and honest Victoria is in sharing her thoughts and feelings. Listening to her discuss loneliness made me feel less alone because I realized that there are others out there who understand what I'm going through. Even though I don't live in LA and can't offer to be her in-person friend, I am grateful for her willingness to share her emotions with us listeners. She has inspired me to make an extra effort in hanging out with people and giving it a shot. Additionally, the New Earth series on the podcast has been incredibly relatable for me. I read the book several years ago but let it slip from my mind due to being busy. However, hearing Victoria's anecdotes and analyses of the book's principles has reignited my interest in rereading it now that I'm older.

Another great aspect of The RealPod is the variety of topics covered and the quality of guests interviewed by Victoria. It was especially enlightening to hear Sedona Prince, an NCAA student athlete, speak about the inequalities between men's and women's sports in the NCAA as well as mental health issues faced by athletes. As a group of female athletes from different sports, such as basketball, field hockey, and softball, we have dealt with similar struggles in our respective sports. This episode inspired us to prioritize our well-being and advocate for ourselves. Furthermore, the episode on PCOS was a personal favorite of mine as I have been on a similar journey myself. The podcast provides a platform for spreading awareness and shows listeners that they are not alone in their experiences.

In terms of drawbacks, it is difficult to find any major negatives about The RealPod. However, one minor criticism could be that some episodes might feel more relatable or relevant depending on the listener's personal experiences. Not every topic covered may resonate equally with all listeners. Nevertheless, Victoria's authenticity and engaging interview style make up for any potential discrepancies in personal interest.

In conclusion, I absolutely love The RealPod with Victoria Garrick. Each week, I eagerly await new episodes that teach me something new about myself or life in general. Whether Victoria is sharing her own thoughts or interviewing guests, I always feel like I am learning valuable insights. It's hard to choose whether I prefer solo episodes or guest interviews because both formats bring something unique to the podcast. As a woman of any age, there is so much to learn from these episodes. I recommend The RealPod to all my friends and family without hesitation because it has been such a positive influence in my life.
