Emma Kay can speak authoritatively on women's safety, women's right to equality of safety on British streets and her own experience of gender harassment. She is also an entrepreneur who is passionate about developing the WalkSafe app's unique safety features and keeping it free for women to download. Emma can also speak on parenting, as knife crime soars and young men in particular are at risk, meaning more parents and their older children are downloading WalkSafe.Emma Kay is the co-founder of WalkSafe and her impassioned social media posts following the murder of Sarah Everard meant the free app was downloaded over half a million times in just two weeks.Mother of two, she is determined to fund the app so it will remain free to women and other vulnerable groups.A former beautician, Emma came up with the idea of the app at dinner with her extended family after describing her own experience of gender harassment and what she felt would help. Fortunately, her brother-in-law is a technology expert, and he was able to devise the first generation WalkSafe app.Emma describes the WalkSafe app as the ‘app that shouldn't have to exist' but as the daughter of a policeman, she has a pragmatic approach to women's safety and the WalkSafe app is testimony to that philosophy. It is the only app to give users a live map which shows where recent crimes have occurred, so women can choose a safer route home. It also has a tap feature if women feel threatened which alerts their chosen safety contact and a ‘dead woman's switch' which send alerts if the tapping suddenly stops, giving a precise location that the police can then use should the user be abducted. Emma is passionate about creating greater awareness for WalkSafe, which is funded by the brands' other ventures, so it can be available free to those that need it.And, as the app also records knife crime, Emma says that more and more parents need to be aware of the app as young men are in danger from knife crime which rose 25% following the last lockdown easing. She is available for broadcast and media interviews. Please contact: Emma or Jess at CMS e.chadwick@crownmediasolutions.co.uk   j.ward@crownmediasolutions.co.uk*A recent YouGov poll for UN Women found that seven out of 10 women had experienced some form of sexual harassment in public.·       This number was nearly nine out of 10 for younger women.·       Over half of women had experienced catcalling·       Four out of 10 had been groped or faced unwelcome touching·       A third of women had been followed·       One in five had faced indecent exposure

Mrs Rosie Stancer is is the daughter of Lady Mary Clayton (1917 – 2014) and the granddaughter of Rose Leveson-Gower, Countess Granville, who was an elder sister of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. She is a world record polar explorer and has participated in numerous extreme outdoor exhibitions around the globe. McVities All Women’s Penguin Polar Relay 1997In 1997, Stancer was one of 20 amateur women selected for a place on the first all women’s expedition to the North Pole, The 'McVities Penguin Polar Relay'. A relay of five teams hauled sleds of up to 150 lbs across 500 miles (800 km) of shifting pack ice in temperatures down to minus 40 °C. After 73 days, the final relay group made it to the North Pole.M&G ISA South Pole Expedition 1999In 1999, Stancer and four others from the first expedition organised and managed their own expedition to the South Pole, The 'M&G ISA Challenge'. Without guides, and with one re-supply, they completed the 700-mile (1,100 km) journey from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole in 61 days. Meteorological data was gathered en route and submitted to the Omega Foundation.Snickers South Pole Solo 2004In the Austral summer of 2003–4, Stancer skied solo and without re-supply to the South Pole on the 'Snickers South Pole Solo 2004' expedition. Hauling a sledge more than twice her body weight for over 700 miles (1,100 km), Stancer reached the Pole in 43 days 23 hours, a day longer than Fiona Thornewill who reached the South Pole a few days before Stancer.[2] During the expedition Stancer gathered both meteorological and physiological data.Mars North Pole Solo 2007In 2007, Stancer attempted to become the first woman to trek solo to the Geographic North Pole.[3] Stancer walked alone for 326 nautical miles (604 km) and 84 days over the surface of the frozen Arctic Ocean before being airlifted from the ice just short of the North Pole. The difficult decision to abandon the expedition was because of the unusually treacherous conditions that year and the fragility of the ice, preventing the pilots of the pick up aeroplane being able to land safely at the final destination of the North Pole.[4]Mars North Pole SoloAlthough the climate forecast may negate this possibility, in future years[5] Stancer will again attempt the last female solo expedition to the North Pole . For this expedition, she will fly from the northern tip of Canada and set off on her epic journey across the frozen Arctic Ocean starting in the Spring. The expedition is expected to last 60 days. If Stancer succeeds, she will be the first woman to reach both the South and North Poles.[6]Taklamakan Anglo-Chinese Expedition 2016/2017In spring of 2017 Stancer will lead the first female-led expedition team to cross the length of the Taklamakan Desert from west to east. The journey will take approximately 10 weeks and cover 1000 km of terrain with altitudes of 1500m and shifting dunes of 450m in height. The Taklamakan Anglo-Chinese Expedition will provide an international opportunity to further the interest and understanding of OBOR One Belt One Road initiative.

Richard Mason first came to prominence at the age of 21, when the London Times dubbed him "king of the hot young writers". He had just published his first novel, The Drowning People, an “exceptional achievement” (Guardian) that became "one of the most talked about first novels of 1999" (Daily Telegraph). As The Telegraph put it, "If you want to be au courant with modern fiction, you will need to read it.""The Drowning People" sold more than a million copies in over 20 countries, was translated into 22 languages and won Italy's Grinzane Cavour Prize for Best First Novel.Mason’s second novel, Us (2005), was “an explosive mixture of cocky irony and elegy “and took five years to write. It fuses the narratives of two men and a woman, each remembering their time at Oxford and the parts they played in the death of a dear friend. The critics’ response was ecstatic. As Rebecca Pearson put it in the Independent on Sunday: “Only two books in my life have made me cry… [One of them] is Us, Richard Mason's devastatingly tragic, funny and utterly gripping novel."In The Lighted Rooms (2008), Mason takes the audacious step of putting an eighty-year-old woman in the grip of dementia at the center of the drama. What no one knows is that Joan McAllister is having the time of her life, as dementia’s hallucinations allow her to revisit her past and the vitality of her youth. Ranging from British nursing homes to South African concentration camps during the Anglo-Boer War, and taking in the stock market bubble and the tensions of a relationship between a mother and her daughter, the characters in this “immensely readable magnum opus” (The New Yorker) are drawn with “a narrative wisdom surely unknown to most authors in their thirties” – Il Sottoscrito (Italy). As a leading Dutch newspaper put it: “Richard Mason is a hugely talented writer. When you read his book, you automatically think of authors like Thomas Mann and John Updike. This is a classic novel, written by a future literary master.” (Rob Schouten, Trouw)Psychological accuracy is a hallmark of Mason's fiction, and his fourth novel, History of a Pleasure Seeker (2011), is a treasure trove of insight and humour. An Oprah Pick of the Month, the story of a dashing young man’s adventures through the gilded age is “is the best new work of fiction to cross my desk in many moons.” (Jonathan Yardley, Washington Post)In his “beautifully turned, classical style” ('New York Times Book Review) Mason takes the lid off a privileged family and shows how sex, while not necessarily the same thing as love, can be a potent force for good.Philanthropy:With the royalties of "The Drowning People", Mason established the Kay Mason Foundation (www.kmf.org.za). Under the patronage of Nobel Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the foundation works to identify promising teenagers and give them the education and experience they need to lead South Africa in the post-Apartheid era.In 2010, Mason became a co-founder of Project Lulutho, in collaboration with the community of Mthwaku in South Africa’s rural Eastern Cape. Mason spent a year under canvas helping with the construction and was a major funder of this center of conservation and green business skills, playing a key role in bringing together the stakeholders from civil society and government necessary to turn a ravaged ecosystem into “a place of hope.” (www.lulutho.org)
