It's Valentine's Day! A day full of overpriced chocolates, high expectations, and focus on how much sex you're going to have. So what about those who have no interest in it? 'Ace' is an umbrella term used to describe people who experience little, fluctuating, or no sexual attraction. There are also aromantic people - who experience little to no romantic attraction. Asexuality is often widely misunderstood, including within the LGBTQ+ community. Asexual people are also not recognised in legislation, such as under the UK Equality Act, and Stonewall found asexual people may be at a higher risk of conversion therapy than gay, lesbian and bi individuals. But when asexual activists take to the media to raise these issues, they are met with a chorus of criticism, ignorance, and insults: they're vying for victimhood, or they're offered the enlightening advice to simply "get laid". She was ranked world No. 1 in 1939. Marble was the Associated Press Athlete of the Year in 1939 and 1940. In 1964, Marble was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. She settled in Palm Desert, California, where she taught tennis until her death. One of her students was Billie Jean King. This week on The Roe Show I sit down for a second time with Julian and Annalisa Pavone to discuss the music industry, but this time from a different perspective. They are joined by award winning music producer, Norman 'Ace' West to talk about their first single, 'Secret Love,' that was co-produced by Julian. Annalisa does both lead and back-up vocals while Julian drums and raps. It's an R&B style of song and is the first single in what will become and exciting career for them both. "The Pavone siblings have so much to offer, as Annalisa exercises the strength that only a seasoned vocalist would be able to execute," says Ace. "Much like her prodigy brother, who is a genius in the studio, Annalisa adapted to the creative process instantly." Ace has worked with some of the world's greatest musical legends, including Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Aliyah, and currently Annalisa Pavone. As Ace said it best, "We are putting the aces in their places," about Detroit stars he has partnered with to create incredible music and lasting legacies – whose names all coincidentally start with the letter A. "I believe this is a good indication for what Annalisa's success will look like in the years to come." The song also features talented musicians Peter Carbone on lead guitar and Kenny Hasenauer on bass. Not only was the track itself touched by talented artists, but so was the cover art and music video. The "Secret Love" cover art was created by renowned artist Tony Roko, who won the title as Detroit's Best Fine Artist for five consecutive years, according to HOUR magazine. Roko has painted commissions for Jay Leno, Lady GaGa, and many museums.
