¡pues te vuelves a equivocar! … vas a alucinar: ¡1,1! Tatra 87 (0,36). 3. Bugatti Tank (0,35 estimado). 4. Citroën CX (0,35). 5. Alfa Romeo Giulia (0,34). 6. Citroën GS (0,31). 7. Alfa Romeo 40-60 HP Aerodinamica Castagna (0,30 estimado). 8. Saab 92 (0,30). 9. Audi 80 (0,29). 10. Alpine Renault GTA (0,28). 11. Renault 25 TS (0,28). 12. Rumpler Tropfenwagen (0,28). 12+1. Opel Calibra (0,26). 14. Toyota Prius (0,26) 2004. 15. Audi A2 (0,24). 16. Tesla Model S (0,24). 17. Mercedes-Benz Clase A Sedán (0,22). 18. Alfa Romeo BAT (0,19). 19. GM EV1 (0,19). 20.

Is this BMW E36 build the most radical Hill Climb monster in the world?Bimmerworld's ‘Bergsteiger' was built for Pikes Peak, and at The SEMA Show's Optima Batteries booth, chassis guru Wayne runs us through some of the thought that goes into a dedicated Hill Climb build. After selecting the Roush-built 1150HP Weistec Garrett GTX3076 turbocharged V8 P63 engine (the S63's motorsport variant) and doubling the output from a GT3 BMW M6 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship build it was quickly apparent that a tube frame chassis would be required to the accommodate the size of the engine. Some insight into the aero setup is shared, including the requirement for 2000lbs front downforce to match the rears 1800lbs at 150mph along with some of the layout decisions and placements required to get that car to a weight of 1100kgs (2400lbs) with a 50:50 weight distribution. A carbon fiber widebody and lightweight Forgeline GS1R rims wrapped with Continental tires also help keep that weight down. A Bosch Motorsport ECU is used along with a MoTeC dash display for logging and driver data on the electronics side of things, the suspension is looked after by Motion Control Suspension and Bimmerworld components along with PFC brakes to handle the demands of high altitude racing.Want to learn how to EFI tune?

Roland Hahn is our guest for this episode with Ann Moran occasionally chiming in throughout the episode. Roland has been racing since the 80’s and has probably completed more races than we have laps (which is not really that much of an exaggeration). Some fascinating stories and history that will help you and your team in the next race. On this episodes Dominating with Dawson, we go over Racing in the Rain. No, not the book, how to do it and how to enjoy it more. We hope you enjoy this episode! Best regards, Vicki, Jennifer, Alan, and Bill Hosts of the Garage Heroes In Training Podcast and Garage Heroes In Training racing team drivers Highlights from this episode include: 1) What Roland has learned at his last 875 or so races in all types of cars and racing. Yes, 875+ races and counting. 2) How he found his “home” in endurance racing and how endurance racing has changed since he first started at Nelson Ledges in 1987. 3) Race prep, racing practices, and safety equipment have apparently changed dramatically (for the better) since the 80’s. 4) Some team history about how Roland first met Ann and their current team began about two years ago, as well as how Ann began racing and met Roland. 5) Vicki somehow manages to bring Xena into the podcast. Still puzzled by how that fit into the discussion, twice, but it somehow fit, and led to a discussion of Vicki meeting Roland for the first time when he was in drag at NHMS last year. 6) Things Roland has learned to do and perhaps even more importantly things not to do over his racing career. 7) How Roland and Ann found their current BMW E36 and their thoughts about racing it and E36’s in general. 8) Post race “hangovers”, even if you don’t drink, are real. Especially if you race as often as Roland and Ann did last year. 9) We compare our relative “Hot Mess” levels and performance at the recent Charlotte race with Lucky Dog. 10) Roland does his best Karnac impression over a brake light switch at the Charlotte race. 11) The Dip Stick disaster that was Charlotte Roval and a really good title to a TV show episode. 12) How the two races at Charlotte went for their team. It was a bit of a battle for a long time, but in the end, it seems to have worked out well in the 10-hour race. This illustrates a series of the type of things that an endurance team can run into any weekend. The impossible is not impossible, but merely unlikely. The more laps raced, the more probably it becomes. 13) How Roland employed his experience and knowledge to survive a bit better than most on Sunday. 17 hours of racing at the Charlotte Roval was pretty hard on all the cars that were there, especially with the heavy breaking required for the Roval. 14) Jen does not share Roland’s preference for concrete canyon race tracks. Maybe with time, but definitely not at the moment. 15) Roland was very impressed with racing with Lucky Dog and with his level of experience, impressing him is not the easiest thing to do. Especially impressive considering the COVID related conditions and the team not having its full team at the event. More grown up but still playful is a great way to put it. 16) Roland was kind enough to go into some of the race prep areas and philosophy he tries to employ for every race. He may write a book someday. We can’t wait. Roland, do you need an editor or a co-writer? We know a guy. 17) ALWAYS learn something at every single race or you aren't really paying attention. 18) Succinctly put, we need a Roland. Every team does. We will be asking questions of him, often. Since he listens to our podcast, we are sure we have caused him to laugh out loud many times. Lol. 19) Tips to improve as a driver abound throughout this episode. 20) Roland provides the definitive answer to the long fought over question that torments the internet on a daily basis. Where do you put the transponder on the car to get the faster lap or to win at the finish line. You are welcome. (and we are sure the arguments will continue long into the future anyway)
How much do you know about the BMW kidney grille? Sure, you know that it’s an important design element, and of course you know what a kidney grille looks like, but did you know it was first introduced in 1933? Vicki, Jennifer, and Bill tried to talk through the recent work weekend at the garage and then we reviewed the NASA Great Lakes HPDE Bill attended at Mid-Ohio. Everyone was quite tired from the weekend, but we wanted to get this out while it is still fresh in our minds and to fulfill the “fix” of a few listeners who wanted more detail from the HPDE after Bill’s “too short” episode from Saturday. If you have any more questions, we will have at least two more NASA Great Lakes Episodes in the coming weeks with other instructors and drivers from the event, so please let us know. We also had two competing tools of the week from Jen and Vicki while they were prepping the cars for their new theming. On this episodes “Dominating with Dawson” segment we go into Pre-Race Thoughts and how we prep for a race weekend and a driving stint, with some of our usual digressions along the way. We hope you enjoy the episode and apologize for being a bit scattered and tired during the recording! Best regards, Bill, Vicki, Jennifer, and Alan Hosts of the Garage Heroes In Training podcast and team members in the GHiT Immature Endurance Racing Team Highlights from the episode include: 1) We start our discussion Live, inside the Hindenburg, or at least it sounds that way. We are sorry but our microphone unplugged as we started recording . 2) Progress on the mechanical and electrical projects that are needed in the BMW E36 race car, including the new passenger seat for HPDE usage 3) Progress on the fuel cell and sway bar projects for the El Jeffe Chevy S10 race truck and the beginnings of the new theme. 4) Our progress tape system we are using to communicate the progress and status of our various projects between all the team members that are working. Hopefully it will help us (and you) to keep track of things and eliminate silly/avoidable errors, like torqueing lug nuts. 5) Two new additions to the team, Randy and Dennis, who are helping us out and Randy may even drive with us in the upcoming races. 6) We review and compare the three types of painting we have used on prior cars. This includes spray cans/rattle cans, Plasti-dip spray cans/spray wrap, and auto paint using a HELP system. 7) If you do use a normal spray can or rattle can, please make sure to use the auxiliary handle to make it much easier to hold the nozzle open. After 40 or more cans, your fingers will be much happier. Details are on our website under the tips and tricks section if you are not familiar with this attachment. Its usually around 5-8 dollars. 8) The demise of our “Bob Ross Penalty” adorned to the side of the El Jeffe/Bad Hombre race truck 9) We then discussed the HPDE at Mid-Ohio and how the changes to the Toyota 86 affected the handling of it on track 10) Bill goes into the preparation process he uses for an HPDE, as well as for a new track. 11) We also go into a few of the bad habits we have developed from our primary racing in endurance racing. 12) The COVID/social distancing related changes and impacts on the event schedule and potentially on upcoming HPDE and racing events 13) Our dogs Zoey Lemons Fischer and Ziggy Stardust Skripchuk made guest appearances throughout the episode in the background. 14) Bill messes up by calling a C ZOO Corvette a Camaro. Boy, he was tired, lol. 15) Bill gets into the track prep and track map notes he makes prior to going to a new track using Mid-Ohio as the example. 16) We describe the four drills that we used in the HPDE 2 run group this weekend. 17) The final two sessions were Bill’s favorites of the day, likely due to his being more comfortable with the track and hopefully his improved driving skill. TBD. Everything went well until Bill mixed his lefts and rights in describing the chicane going into the keyhole. 18) Bill’s goals going into the HPDE we accomplished, and in some cases too much in the other direction. 19) Best practices and habits for getting the most out of an HPDE event. 20) Bad endurance racing induced habits: Slow to learn a track, no firm fixed points for each turn, too comfortable winging it and adjusting line and speed by visual and by feel, need to tighten up and be more consistent, especially in an open track condition and an HPDE. 21) Goals for Bill’s next HPDE session include: 1) better prep, 2) Fixed points on the track for BoB and EoB, Turn in, and Track out. (apex is set) 22) Jen’s tool of the week is a grinder with a wire wheel to remove rust and paint because it is so Zen. Vicki’s tool of the week is the Power Bleeder for bleeding brake fluid and changing brake fluid. Thank you Randy for letting us borrow it. The tool of the week should have been a pillow. 23) We finally figured out why Bill is here. 24) Vicki wraps it up when she was done, lol.
Franz has owned his BMW E36 M3 for the past 15 years. Having gone through at least 9 or 10 different suspension set ups Franz was about to give up on the car until he heard about Annex Suspension’s R&D program.

Our podcast this week focuses on our race weekend at NHMS with the 24 Hours of Lemons teams. We had a bit of a struggle getting ready, but the cars eventually cooperated and raced well, at least for a bit. In the end, we had a great time and caught up with a lot of friends and made several new ones this weekend. On this episode, Alan, Jennifer, Kate, Vicki and Bill are still recuperating from the race weekend hangover, but did manage to discuss: Vicki learns the alphabet, finally. Pre-race prep and race car struggles. We broke the first rule of racing and brought an non-prepped car to the track El Jeffe/The Bad Hombre/The Trophy Truck/Race Truck was finished literally hours before the race. The E36 BMW struggle did not complete until midday Friday afternoon when our great friend Bruce figured out a simple electrical issue that we could not find on our own We had to pick up a windshield, which was in Canada Bill learns to not joke with the border police Normal race induced issues led to a lot of on track repairs and replacement for the race truck, especially related to our steering, power steering, and steering rack. SpiderStang was almost brought into race trim since we had all hands on deck and needed two cars We rolled the dice and brought the E36 to the track and hoped we could fix it with the aide of our friends in the paddock area Friday testing went well with El Jeffe and we were able to get almost all of our new to NHMS drivers Jennifer clears all prior NHMS demons from last year Kate enjoys her first time on this track and then promptly has internet issues in mid story Jennifer is very excited and saw many benefits of the Watkins Glen HPDE we sent to two weeks ago. We may finally have solved our braking issue with the El Jeffe race truck Bill creates a new word for the dictionary Bruce saved our team having to get another engine and perform and engine swap by solving our issue and getting the engine in the E36 to fire. Bill confirms that by fire, they meant to get it running and not that it had caught on fire. Special thanks to the Thunder for Days team in their Folgers E36 BMW for all their assistance as well. Apparently, they travel with an entire parts tore worth of spare parts to each race. Thankfully. And Wisely. We owe you all. Our one time only Guitar Heroes In Training Theme for this race Vicki confuses AC/DC and Kiss somehow Mia tormented Craggier as the Plague Doctor all weekend Several other teams were theming hard this weekend including appearances by the Three Pedal Mafia’s Ambiguously Gay Duo themed new Pontiac Solstice and the entire gang that represented Baby Shark. Jennifer’s costume was very helpful in getting our cars to have no penalty laps Harley Quinn and the harlequin GTI were also a big hit, ad it was quite fast on the track. We had a run on power steering pumps for the race truck this weekend, using three total, and we also lost the steering rack/box We then run through the race for the race truck and then for the E36 race car NHMS this year was the most aggressive race we have been in and there were many incidents, especially Saturday We also had a Guest driver this weekend, Jeff Wright, who we met at our Lucky Dog race in Portland this summer. We hope he had a great time. His smiles Our wheel spacers led to tire tracking issues in the El Jeffe race truck We eventually (think) we lost the steering rack and had some steering difficulty that eventually led to the race truck parking for the last half of Sunday Jennifer gets here first black flag in the race truck Bill ran first in the E36 on Saturday and raced with several of our friends on the track for long periods of time We peaked at 5th place overall, our highest position ever. Now we need to figure out how to stay there for the whole weekend. We learn that there are two different style safety harnesses/safety belts Saturday night dinner and post-race festivities Vicki finally meets her girl crush, Amanda Tully, in full costume, in the Three Pedal Mafia’s hot tub, built for 4, but somehow managed to squeeze in 9 that evening. Hopefully, we will have her on as a future guest. The festivities went long into the night. Alan eventually gets into a on race CSI investigation that gets edited out a bit. Vicki proves that numbers are hard We end up talking all over each other during the review of Alan’s Sunday stint The Egan’s new car modifications led to a lot of fun but also a lot more gas usage We ended our day in the BMW E36 when we lost either a wheel bearing and/or a hub Team improvements for next year were abundant Radios for each team member if possible Earlier starting prep on race day morning with more people Training matrix will be developed and monitor our progress towards overall team knowledge and skill improvement for next year and the future New Pit Crew Chief election for 2010 season is very likely Spares parts for the BMW for next season On site car alignment verification capability within our team We begin planning our off season and our 2020 season, including re-theming several cars for the 2020 Thank you to all our friends, we cant wait to see you again next season!
Please vote for Vicki A https://www.intechtrailers.com/max-the-tach# NHMS race weekend prep status. One race, two cars, neither working. The rest is good though. On one hand we have the BMW E36 3 series from 1998. Issues, yes. It won’t start. It seems to not be getting power to the computer system and won’t turn over. We found one wiring issue and are tracking down any others, slowly. One good thing is that the prior owners live very close to our race, so as a last resort, we may ask for some assistance. El Jeffe/The Bad Hombre: Braking issues abound. Still. The caliper/pads do not fully release from the rotors, which may be the issue we have been battling this entire season. On this episode: Alan breaks up into a game of boggle with things like DME, EWS2, etc. Vicki breaks back in and tries to get us to explain what is going on Bill breaks down the entire battle we have been having with the brakes on the race truck El Jeffe brake theories, plan, and a review of the current status An El Jeffe Transit story for the books Alan talks about flashing ECU’s and seeking additional help to get the E36 running well again. Alan does his best weatherman impression and forecasts clear skies for the E36 Kate even makes a quick guest appearance towards the end It seems to be a standard week before the race. Now will this turn out? Tune in tomorrow, same bat channel, same bat time. Or actually when we record at the track this weekend.
Welcome to our latest podcast episode where we review our weekend HPDE with NASA North East at the world famous Watkins Glen International racetrack. We had a great weekend with 5 of our team showing up and two other friends from the Everyone Racers Podcast and The Three Pedal Mafia racing team, Chris and Chrissy. We summarize the prepping of the many cars we brought and the debacle it became for almost every car we brought. Cars we prepped included: BMW E36 1998 race car Roll bar prep and Passenger racing seat installation Issue: Won’t start as we were prepping to leave. Issue still TBD Roll bar padding and switch to racing seats and racing harness from OEM Issue: 4-point belts aren’t acceptable so hot swap at Watkins Glen to install two new 6-point harness sets 1999 Mazda MX-5 Turbo Miata with Flyin’ Miata Turbo Installed new roll bar Issue: did not finish roll bar installation and did not remember to reconnect the battery before giving it to Jennifer 2019 Mazda MX-5 Mostly no issue, except cleaning 2017 Toyota GT TRD Bad Lug bolts and Missing Lug bolts Waited until day before to get parts, ended up with bad hub threads and missing bolts, and doesn’t know how to click the pay button after registering for the HPDE Cue the sad trombone please 2013 Dodge Dart Did not have time to change to race seats, nor brake pads and fluid, nor tires from standard OEM 2017 BMW M240i No issues since Chris and Chrissy are always prepared, unlike us. Race Prepped Honda Civic Brad was an excellent test passenger for three different cars on the track. He reviews his first ever race laps in the Turbo NB MX-5 versus the race prepped Honda Civic vs a new Acura NSX. Vicki, Jennifer, and Bill covered our in car instructors and areas we worked on and improved over the weekend. These areas included: Track vision Racing lines in general Braking points and braking pressure and the proper application and removal of the braking pressure Turn in Points Input sequencing Several drills, including vision and non-shifting the entire lap or session Car control Learning and feeling what is correct and what isn’t with immediate feedback Late apexing vs early apexing and turn in Prep is key to racing In addition, we also reviewed our thoughts of the track and the NASA North East HPDE event in general. We also reviewed the relative performance of the Turbo 1999 NB MX-5 to the newly updated 2019 MX-5 ND.
This episode is dedicated to our friend Aaron Leinemann. He has had some unexpected bad medical news and a GoFundMe page has been started to assist. Please share whatever you can to assist Aaron and his amazing family. Link at the end. On this episode, our team reviews the 2019 24 Hours of Lemons race GP du Lac Chargoggagogg(etcetera) AT Thompson Speedway in Northeastern Connecticut. We entered our Race Truck “El Jeffe” a 2004 Chevy S-10 with many Isuzu Hombre body panels and our new to us 1998 BMW E36 3-series car for our first race with it after buying it about two weeks prior. El Jeffe was updated from the former Stan Lee livery to and Avengers Endgame livery and the E36 was quickly themed in the paddock to be a Captain America car. We review Friday practice and spend most of the episode covering the race on Saturday and Sunday. Highlights include: New Drivers, several first timers at Thompson Thompson track walk and review Saturday and Sunday within El Jeffe Saturday and Sunday in the BMW E36 El Jeffe brake issues and a potential fix and path forward to alleviate this ongoing problem. Our 4 black flag debacle and how it impacted our position in the race (HINT not well) Bill got to make two signs with Connor to slow the cars in the pits A minor incident where a car came across the bow of the El Jeffe and removed moist of the front end facia Saturday night’s Potluck Dinner hosted by the Three Pedal Mafia team for Stuntin’ and Explodin’ fest We show our exceptional math skills several times this episode Team awards for the weekend Hella Sweet or Butt Terrible idea of the week To do’s and improvements for our next race Radio and Helmet communication issues Then things devolved from there Aaron's Go Fund me link: https://www.gofundme.com/calling-all-racers-support-a-teammate-in-need?pc=tw_dn_cpgntopnavlarge_r&rcid=r01-156579899205-2044fc655aa44466&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tw_dn_cpgn

Karolina mimo wielu sukcesów i tytułów ciągle dąży do doskonałości. Cały czas szuka nowych możliwości rozwoju i sprawdzania swoich umiejętności.
