In Küssnacht am Rigi lernen sich die Jodlerin Nadja Räss und der Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaftler Boris Previšic kennen. Boris Previšic (52) Professor, Flötist, Direktor, Bauernsohn: Boris Previšic ist nicht auf einen Begriff zu bringen. Mit seiner Vielgestaltigkeit fühle er sich manchmal wie ein exotischer Vogel. Aufgewachsen ist der Professor für Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft zwischen dem Balkan und einem Bio-Bauernhof im Zürcher Oberland. Sowohl die Alpen als auch die Kammermusik sind für ihn heute Rückzugsorte. Und so gründete er auch das Institut "Kulturen der Alpen" in Uri. Nadja Räss (45) Sie hat schon der Opernsängerin Cecilia Bartoli das Jodeln beigebracht. Nadja Räss ist sich sicher: So begabt muss man nicht sein, jede Person mit einer Stimme könne jodeln. Sie selbst wusste bereits mit fünf Jahren, dass sie Jodlerin werden möchte und genau so kam es. Räss tourt erfolgreich mit ihrer Stimme, die äusserst kunstreich zwischen Brust- und Kopfstimme wechselt, komponiert eigene Lieder und unterrichtet unter anderem an der Hochschule Luzern im Bereich Volksmusik. Boris Previsic und Nadja Räss sind zu Gast bei Olivia Röllin am Sonntag, 10. November im Theater Duo Fischbach in Küssnacht am Rigi. Türöffnung ist um 9 Uhr.

This track is about putting the time and work into letting go of someone she loved. It focuses on her efforts to move on and move forward with her life, despite the scars and the pain that it has brought. “I just wanted to let go of a person, and let go of the memories,” said Mengrosso. “I've accepted the fact that I can't blame someone for what happened in the past. Instead of me carrying that weight on me, I just want to forgive the person and move on.” Mengrosso wrote this song years ago, but came back to it about a year back when she rediscovered it in a different way. She said that whenever she has a significant personal experience, she will incorporate it into her material because it is helpful to handle what life throws at her. Writing this track was a cathartic experience for Mengrosso. “When I go through something, I try to put it into my music because this is what gives me a drive to go through stuff,” she said. “It's so personal. It is about finding strength and finding something that will drive you to achieve what you want. You can find strength in your weaknesses, like pulling out the light from darkness.” “Unforgiven” is part of a 12 song album that Mengrosso eyes a release for the end of April, and it will also include a recently released single titled “Under.” She is still going through the naming process for the record, and related it to naming a baby because of how much the work means to her. Life experiences are what inspires her work, and she is taking the time to choose the proper name. Mengrosso has a background in musical education, and is a composer who has been writing music for many years, as well. She started as a classical singer and developed an interest in rock and metal as she grew up. Now she is writing and producing her own music, and she said she couldn't be happier about her path. She started her musical journey by playing piano and harp, and then began taking voice classes as a child. Mengrosso writes all her music on the piano, and she said this has helped her in developing her style. She is influenced by opera singers like Maria Callas, Cecilia Bartoli and Nellie Melba, but also listens to plenty of music outside of the classical world. D'abord, elle a choisi sa destinée en s'inspirant des comédies musicales qui ont bercé son enfance, puis pour travailler sa voix elle a refusé le parcours académique classique, lui préférant les rencontres avec les artistes qui l'inspiraient puissamment ! Face à tant d'enthousiasme et de talent aussi (il faut bien le reconnaitre), ils ont tous accepté de lui transmettre leur feu sacré. Ça a plutôt bien fonctionné, puisqu'à 23 ans seulement, elle devenait déjà « Révélation artiste lyrique » aux Victoires de la musique classique en 2017.Depuis, elle parcourt le monde et se produit sur les plus grandes scènes, en alternant les concerts de musique baroque, le répertoire qu'elle a fait sien, et les grands rôles d'opéra ! Mais attention, dans les deux cas ce qui l'anime c'est de nous prouver que cette musique est bel et bien «rock'n roll» ! Fast 300 Jahre sind seit der Uraufführung von Georg Friedrich Händels Oper »Giulio Cesare in Egitto« in London vergangen. Das 1724 uraufgeführte »Dramma per musica« wurde zur erfolgreichsten seiner 42 Opern. Die reiche Instrumentation, farbigen Stimmführungen und komplexen Handlungsstränge rissen das Publikum zu Jubelstürmen hin. Allein nach der Wiederentdeckung in den 1920er-Jahren wurde die Oper über 220 Mal aufgeführt. Bis heute gehört sie zu den beliebtesten Werken Händels. Verarbeitet hat der Komponist eine der leidenschaftlichsten Liebesgeschichten der Geschichte, die von politischem Kalkül nicht freie Liaison zwischen Kleopatra und dem römischen Feldherrn Julius Cäsar. Am 1. November, 19 Uhr wird »Giulio Cesare« mit Cecilia Bartoli in der Rolle der Kleopatra aufgeführt. Der Försterssohn aus der Pfalz galt seinen Zeitgenossen als bedeutendster Opernkomponist. Noch im 19. Jahrhundert wollte man ihm in Wien ein Denkmal, gemeinsam mit Haydn, Mozart und Beethoven setzen. Actress, comedian and playwright Katherine Parkinson shares her favourite music with Michael Berkeley. Two years out of drama school and heavily in debt, Katherine Parkinson was offered a part in a new television comedy series The IT Crowd. As all fans of the cult series know, she played Jen, the hopeless boss of two computer geeks – she was the so-called “normal” one. The series ran from 2006 to 2013, with audiences of two million. For Katherine Parkinson, it made her career, winning her a British Comedy Award and a Bafta. Since then Katherine Parkinson has appeared in everything from stage productions of Sophocles and Chekhov to television sci-fi drama Humans as well as Doc Martin and the sitcom The Kennedys. She has also moved into writing: her play about three people sitting for a painter premiered on television during lockdown. Katherine chooses music by John Tavener, George Gershwin and Thomas Tallis, and polyphonic singing she discovered while filming in Georgia. She tells Michael how she tried to channel her inner Cecilia Bartoli during singing lessons at drama school, and how she had to pretend to be good at housework for her Olivier-nominated role in Home, I'm Darling at the National Theatre.
