Barry and Abigail discuss A Fever You Can't Sweat Out by Panic! At the Disco and sample Studio 54 Blues Blueberry NEIPA, Disco Sally's Cookies, and Night Fever Porter from Disco Witch Brewing in Yulee, Florida. Barry heavily compared this album (for better or for worse) to The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch by Cute Is What We Aim For, which we discussed in Yeast is What They Brew With (Cute is What We Aim For and Yeasty Brews Artisanal Beers). We contrasted the Disco Witch's succinct beer descriptions with the lengthy ones of Burial and Petty Thieves. Camisado is the name of a military technique: a surprise attack occurring at night, or at daybreak, when the enemy is supposed to be asleep. Read more! Barry entered the final note of Intermission into the Abigail Hummel School of Speaking Smartly About Music with a comparison not to The Green Bee, nor to Flight of the Bumblebee, but to A Day In the Life by The Beatles. Barry gave Abigail a quick lesson on the baroque period. We learned all about Candi Syrup, Inc.! Barry compared But It's Better If You Do thematically to Risque by Cute Is What We Aim For. Although our previous Beatles reference is not from The White Album, Abigail did organically bring up Savoy Truffle (it has been zero episodes since our last White Album reference!). Barry compared There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet to this scene from Young Frankenstein. Also, The lacing of the smokes reminded Barry of the spiking of the eggnog (and the vocalization and the harmonies!) in Who Spiked the Eggnog? by Straight No Chaser. Barry's second entry into the Abigail Hummel School of Speaking Smartly About Music was to compare Build God, Then We'll Talk to My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music. Up next… Tigerlily by Natalie Merchant Jingles are by our friend Pete Coe. Visit Anosmia Awareness for more information on Barry's condition. ( Lander, WY) - The "Beer for Breakfast" podcast has made a return for Lander Brewfest 2022. This beer-cast features a brewery that has two locations in the state and a nice catalogue of brews, Accomplice Brewing. Accomplice just won an award at the International Beer Festival for their Krimson King Ember Lager. Victor is well thought of in the brewers world, and continues to produce solid Wyoming craft beer. Take a listen to this fun segment and find out more on what "crowlers" are ( if you don't know already) and check out some of the great brews. Jerrad and Charene with Victor from Accomplice Thank you to the Lander Chamber of Commerce for all the hard work involved in the brewfest. Cheers!
Cheers to new beer friends! Monica Potter, head brewer at Pedals & Pints Brewing Co. in Thousand Oaks, CA, drops in to share some beer, get nerdy with beer ingredients, talk about the sour beer shortage, and share stories about wedding crashers.Greg and Monica are drinking Pedals & Pints Beach Cruiser Tropical IPA; it's Monica's first recipe since taking over as head brewer. Flex is sipping on Eagle Park's Maibock. Monica gets nerdy with hops and talks about Sabro and its coconutty flavor and doubles down on the beer science with fun yeast strains. She also talks about the difficult, fun task of coming up with beer names, and why there aren't enough sour beers. Greg went to a Chili Cookoff and Beer Festival with some friends and got recognized from the show…famous! Monica did some research at a new spot, Shadow Grove Brewing.Bad news for Stone Brewing in their case with Sycamore Brewing. But there is good news for the craft beer industry. A couple from Arizona wants to find the drunks that crashed their wedding. Founders Brewing is now having to lay off employees. Who thrived in 2021? Episode 260 of InterBrews is a conversation with Cuvee Coffee founder Mike McKim. We discussed Cuvee's founding, how Mike came to roast and love coffee so much, his mutual love for great beers, Crowler-gate, what makes great coffee and so much more. Of course you can go visit Cuvee Coffee in Austin, TX and have your choice of a wide array of coffee drinks and craft beers, but you can also get Cuvee Coffee at any reputable grocer and online, including Amazon. You can't get to your 5PM beer until you've had your morning coffee, and there is no better brew than Cuvee. We hope you enjoy this episode with Mike as much as we did making it. Pour yourself a steaming cup of coffee or a creamy nitro cold brew or go with a beer, perhaps an Austin Beerworks Sputnik Stout. I noticed that Ἰεροσόλυμα (Ierosolyma) was used in Galatians 1:17-18 and 2:1, while in other places Paul seemed to favor Ἰερουσαλὴμ (Ierousalēm), in particular Galatians 4:25-26; Romans 15:19; 15:25-26; and 1 Corinthians 16:3. If there is not a grammatical difference between how they are used, I was wondering what might explain the difference in usage. Jewish tradition describes Solomon working magic with a ring bearing the Star of David . The same symbol occurs in modern occultism, e.g., Crowler. Is there a connection? Might Matthew’s “magoi” in his Nativity story have originally been “Parsees,” denoting Pharisees? Why does Acts seem to show James humiliating Paul? Could you list a couple of earlier scholars--let's say at least mid-20th century or earlier--whose work you think is essential and really holds up despite any more recent scholarship, and also maybe a couple to avoid because their work doesn't? What would you say is the best example of bible prophecy, shows the least amount of foul play? You expressed your changing views on the possibility that Romans would have had reason to invent some version of the Jesus story / Christianity. Romans propagating a nonviolent religion for their troublesome Jewish subjects makes sense to me, but my question is historical: can you think of examples of what seems almost like a state-imposed religion, especially in centuries close to the birth of Christianity? In SGF Brandon's "Fall of Jerusalem and the Christian Church" he seems to hold that Mark cold not have fabricated Jewish involvement in Jesus’ death on the grounds that it would contradict most people’s beliefs! What gives? Martin Luther seems to distinguish between the “guilt” and “penalty” of sin. What does he mean?

This is not something that I recommend people do as it require a lot of knowledge about off-trail orientation, emergency supplies, and technical climbing skills. On the way, I relied heavily on Kahtoola micro-spikes, a local Flagstaff business, as well as give some shout outs to SMR Outdoor gear and Justin Cross of Earn Your Booze! I hope you enjoy this fun little adventure episode! - N

We talk Child of Light, drunken couch co-op after the Bristol Craft Beer Festival. Aadil talks a little about BoJack Horseman and its emotional realism, and Hexcells: Infinite. But don't worry Ben played some games: "Total War - Warhammer", the Chaos Warrior race DLC, "Subsurface Circular" and its very cool Developer Commentary mode, "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter", the "Call of Duty WW2 beta". We move on to talk about the upcoming Battle Royale mode on Fortnite, and the complaints from the PUBG crowd, as well as the politics behind cross-play (versus the technical hurdles), resulting in the inevitable console generation conversation. And we get a visit from Perry to boot. We start out with the "Banded Peak" west coast style IPA 'Southern Aspect', and Ben gets to taste the Smoked Dunkel from "Wild Rose Brewery", which we talked to the brewer about last episode.

It’s the long awaited return of the beloved Newburgh Brewing beer! It’s the brand new LagerBoss, fresh out of the tap, and delivered in a Crowler for our drinking pleasure. It was fantastic. Anthony was obsessed with it. Actually he got weird. Really weird. O Al liked LagerBoss, too, for what that’s worth. The weirdness didn’t stop us from having a damn good recording on our first in person recording in a wHile, though. We should probably mention that our movie of the week was Passengers at this point. Fairly important detail when we tell you what the weekly movie is. So yea, Passengers….. Anyway, if you want to know what our thoughts on the movie were, maybe check in on the new episode of Flix & a Six, only on The Spinchoon!

Chelsea Clinton and Warren Haynes join us for episode #0049… not really, but pretty close. Asheville City Councilman Brian Haynes, who is Warren Haynes brother, and Tim Weber, owner and head brewer of Twin Leaf Brewery, who hosted Chelsea Clinton just days before the Presidential Election, do join us for episode #0049 at Twin Leaf Brewery. Presidential politics and rock-n-roll were not discussed. Chris Power and Tommy Green stumble their way through the conversation, as Brian’s calm cool demeanor, and Tim’s extraordinary craft beer, make this an episode not to be missed!
Season 3, Episode 48 – This week, we’re drinking beer with our friend, Oskar. Oskar Blues Brewery is one of the earliest modern craft breweries to exclusively use cans for packaging their beer. Everything from lager to imperial stout goes into cans short, tall, and wide. Oskar Blues even invented the “Crowler”, a 32 ounce growler made out of an aluminum can. Not only are they ahead of their time with their packaging, they also make some killer beer. Oskar Blues Beers The seven beers on the show this week are but a small representation of what Oskar Blues brews. They recently debuted barrel-aged Ten Fidy in tall cans (which Jason coincidentally drank all to himself the night before the recording of this episode), as well as their new 19.2 ounce (holy moly!) “Stove Pipe” cans. Dale’s Pale Ale is by far the most ubiquitous of Oskar Blues’ offerings, followed by the deliciously contrasting imperial stout, Ten Fidy. Oskar Blues is a beer geek’s brewery–they can do it all, and they do it all quite well. It’s safe to assume that if you’ve never tried anything from them, you’ll probably be pretty happy with at least one beer they make when you do try something. (…also, you can use their cans to smoke weed when you’re done drinking the beer!) BREW THE SHIT OUT OF IT. With Eric Santostefano, Tim Floros, Jim Adams & Eric Gilliard at Levante Brewing Company We return to Levante Brewing in West Chester, PA, one year after our first visit. Along with returning guests Eric Santostefano, Tim Floros and Jim Adams, we welcomed Eric Gilliard to the show. Shennanigans ensued immediately. Since our first visit to Levante, the day before the grand opening, the brewery has grown immensely, with a packed tap room, a huge array of offerings and an ever growing staff. Dan got us up to speed on some news, we played Happy Fun Time staple Libation or Fabrication and Steph related some barrel aging tips in Know Your Beers. Plus, we sampled a long list of brews from Levante’s Anniversary HOP Party.

The ALE and ABC of North Carolina gave approval for Tonic MRKT to allow its customers to walk out their door drinking beer and go shopping throughout the mall.
The scintillating and vivacious Monique “Man Eater” Ruiz proves herself as a podcast host extraordinaire in episode #0016 of Drink Local Now. Whether discussing Tommy Green’s micro-penis, cat piss on the flavor wheel, or going head-to-head with Jonathan Ayers on craft beer expertise, the Man Eater holds her own. Crowler, Kinsman, Man Eater, and Little Dickie taste a variety of craft beers before gulping them all down.

Episode 85. When it started, there were just two of us. When it was finished, there were four of us. Three humans. One dog. 3BL. In this episode, we talk as much hockey as we ever will (which isn't much). Why won't college baseball coaches let their catchers call their own games? Connor likes dogs all of the sudden, so we spend way too long figuring out what kind he should get. We test Mike Schaefer's encyclopedic knowledge of previous sports championship teams. And we drink beers from Zipline and SingleSpeed. Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/three-beers-later/donationsWant to advertise on this podcast?
