Flexa CEO and co-founder Molly Johnson-Jones discusses the future of flexible working, how companies can “turn hiring into marketing” and why she thinks some corporate CEOs are using flexible working as a scapegoat for innovation failures. Flexa is a careers platform that aggregates a company's workplace benefits to give job candidates more information when applying for a role. Johnson-Jones co-founded the company in 2020 – alongside Maurice O'Brien, and Tim Leppard – after she was told to leave her job in investment banking. It came after Johnson-Jones, who has an auto-immune disease, had submitted a flexible work request. Flexa aims to inform job candidates about a company's remote working and benefits policies. Approved companies, which include the likes of Atom Bank and Improbable, can then advertise open roles on the platform and applicants can filter by criteria. More than 2.5 million people now use the platform. In 2022, the startup raised £2m in a seed funding round led by Ada Ventures. Elsewhere in this episode, the Flexa CEO looks at the different approaches startups and corporates are taking for flexible working.

The unique selling point of Amp is that it provides instantly verifiable collateral to users of its base layer. That is useful for networks like Flexa that provide consumers with a way of spending crypto and merchants accepting the value held in those assets.
With nearly 3,000 Chipotle restaurants across the U.S. accepting 98 cryptocurrencies thanks to a partnership with Flexa ($AMP) to support crypto payments, Flexa has already established itself as a prime contender to lead the space of crypto payments. However, recently there's been a landslide of troubling news for $AMP (the token underpinning the flexa network). The U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) listed several tokens as possible securities, among then AMP. This has prompted a few exchanges such as Binance.US to delist $AMP as a precautionary measure. Around the same time Gemini Pay removed all Flexa payments features from it's app, sparking confusion. On this episode, we're joined by Flexa Co-Founder Tyler Spalding to discuss the future of $AMP, Flexa, and crypto paymentsGuest: Tyler Spalding , Co-Founder at FlexaAMP Token website ➜ https://bit.ly/AMPTokenFlexa website ➜ https://bit.ly/FlexaNetwork
Binance.US has decided to delist the AMP token “out of an abundance of caution” after the SEC recently alleged AMP was a security in its insider trading case against an ex-Coinbase employee and two associates, according to a Binance company blog post on Monday. Binance.US said the trading of AMP may resume in the future on its platform, but noted that “we are taking this step now until more clarity exists around the classification of AMP.” With 25 other tokens potentially hinted at being securities by the SEC, are we about to see mass delisting's of tokens across various U.S. exchanges?
Amp was created by Flexa, which operates a payment solutions app. The wallet developers partnered with Flexa to bring out the payment solution. Amp is now the cryptocurrency collateral of choice. There are three key reasons that AMP and the Flexa network could succeed.
So far, AMP has been defending its market position well against the bearish market wild volatility. Is it enough to convince the global investors that AMP can rise and be a profitable crypto this year?

You can now pay for your burritos and tacos with Bitcoin and other digital currencies, which could open up an array of innovations around loyalty and decentralized payment. Flexa has announced that the Mexican fast-casual chain can now accept digital payments through its platform. The option is available at all Chipotle locations in the US, and you can use the option on the Flexa-enabled wallet app, such as Gemini and SPEDN. Just launch up your app, choose Chipotle and show your phone to the cashier. The big question will be the direction of digital payments in the future could we see a leapfrog over the existing platforms like Venmo, Zelle, and others with a new feature for merchant services, data, and more? Its possible that an innovation wave could be brewing in the retail sector and likely that Chipotle has some very secretive plans for the future of blockchain payments. In my book the Chipotle Effect - the concept was the birth of the digital consumer and what that could lead to with brands like Chipotle, I think we have an answer now - and the digital pioneer for the industry, once again appears to be Chipotle. Others will follow fast, and there will be a mass adoption period just like social media in 2007-2010 - but the killer app is still early to identify, rest assured it's coming very fast!
Mass adoption comes in so many forms. Flexa is bringing the ability to pay for chipotle food with Bitcoin. Hear my take on this in this show. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/cryptocentzpodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/cryptocentzpodcast/support

My guest today is Tyler Spalding, a Co-Founder of Flexa, a blockchain payments company based in New York City. Flexa is a versatile digital payments platform that offers several key features. Flexa has point-of-sale (POS) hardware compatibility as a merchant-focused app and is designed to reduce costs, settlement times, and fraud. Flexa is accepted all over North America; Flexa aims to scale globally and integrate with numerous apps and payment options. For merchants, Flexa offers a variety of payment integrations and plug-ins to enable digital asset acceptance using existing point-of-sale (POS) hardware and software. Tyler is also a former engineer for the United Space Alliance, the United States Air Force, NASA Mars Crew Module, and the NASA Space Shuttle Program. We discuss various topics, including the Flexa and AMP, the payment industry, why we are still early, etc. We begin our conversation by discussing the multiple inefficiencies in the payment industry. I share my personal experience with the challenges facing merchants when dealing with payment providers. Tyler explains why the inefficiencies are so prevalent. Tyler shares his experience from helping run Raise, where they developed various systems to combat fraud and other inefficiencies. Our conversation naturally leads us to Flexa, where Tyler explains how Flexa enables people to pay with crypto across millions of merchants and retailers. Tyler goes on to discuss the tokenomics of AMP. We have a fascinating conversation comparing the engineering challenges in blockchain and aerospace engineering. We also discuss the philosophy of Voluntarism and the importance of individual choice. Our conversation pivots back to Flexa, where we discuss the company's commitment to transparency. We also discuss how Flexa is supporting the infrastructure of El Salvador's transition to a Bitcoin Standard. We discuss how the crypto industry is still very early and why it is inevitable. Our final conversation topic centered on the social challenges of educating people on the proper custody of digital assets. After being diagnosed at 18 with an autoimmune disease, Molly Johnson-Jones was fired from her job in investment banking after requesting to work from home one day a week. Molly then met Maurice O'Brien on the dating app Hinge, and after five dates they decided to start a business together which would provide a platform for people like them who wanted more flexibility in their jobs. From this idea, Flexa was born. Flexa is a website which only allows companies with flexible working environments to advertise jobs on its jobs platform. Flexa has introduced a benchmarking index of hundreds of companies to measure their flexibility, and the most flexible of these get put on the ‘Flexa100' list. Since its founding in 2019, over 1200 businesses have advertised jobs on the platform and the company manages 10 million transactions and $3bn of business a year. In this episode of Success Is In The Mind, Oliver Bruce asks, should you give away shares of the company in the early days when you don't have the cash? How do you start a business with someone you've just started dating? And has the traditional working week been replaced completely by a new world of remote working? Not only is it fun and informative, but it beautifully showcases the brand purpose - “We rise to the challenge of building a world that works” - through the lens of one employee in a way that recasts the immense scope of the company's mission to a very human, very compelling scale. As promised, here are some links to keep the conversation going: Here's Linda's truly delightful interview with The Future of Storytelling, in which she outlines her 8 Mantras of Branding.Zara mentioned GE's just-launched campaign, Next Engineers, which is committed to increasing diversity in young engineers. In this week's chat with an organization doing good in the industry, Eric speaks to Co-Founder and CEO, Molly Johnson-Jones of Flexa, a start up seeking to bring total transparency to those looking for flexible roles and allows businesses to verify their ability to offer flexible working to their employees. Flexible working is the new frontier, one that Rival practices and preaches. Check out how Flexa makes a difference at https://flexa.careers .
In this #FinancialFox episode, Steffy speaks with Tyler Spalding, CEO of Flexa, a New York-based leading digital payment platform. They discuss the evolution of payment technology, privacy & security, and how blockchain disrupted the industry.
Bitcoin was created as a peer-to-peer payment system, but these days people mostly hold it as an investment. Flexa was founded to make a consumer-to-merchant payment system so that crypto holders could splurge sometimes when the numbers are green (and also to enable a different kind of economy). Listen to Flexa co-founder Tyler Spalding talk about the work they've done to make payments work alongside one of his early investors, Lasse Clausen, of the venture fund 1kx.Hosts:Brady Dale (@BradyDale)See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Jose Flores Interviews Gabriel Almeida a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Ricardo and Leonardo Vieira, having also worked extensively with Eduardo Flexa while being a representative of the Checkmat team in the sport's international circuit. Almeida earned the reputation of being one of the top competitors of his generation by conquering medals in important events such as the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) World, Pans, and European Championships as well as United Arab Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) Abu Dhabi Pro.Gabriel Almeida Jiu-JitsuFull Name: Gabriel Salles Muniz AlmeidaNickname: Gabriel is often referenced as “Todd”, the byname started being used by Almeida's first coach, Mr. Eduardo Flexa, right at the start of his BJJ training. The reason for the nickname came from Gabriel beginning his BJJ tuition together with his cousin Raphael, the two sharing very similar features, being mistaken as brothers. Gabriel and Raphael were also raised Catholic, and were known as regular churchgoers; given these characteristics coach Flexa (who was known for handing nicknames to all his students) compared the two cousins to The Simpsons characters, Rod and Todd, sons of Ned Flanders. The nickname carried on through Almeida's career from then on.Lineage: Carlos Gracie > Hélio Gracie > Rolls Gracie > Romero Cavalcanti > Rico Vieira/Leo Vieira > Gabriel AlmeidaMain Achievements:1st Place ADCC São Paulo Trials (2019)1st Place IBJJF American Nationals NOGI (2020**)1st Place SJJIF World Championship (2019)1st Place UAEJJF Grand Slam, MIA (2020)2nd Place IBJJF European Open (2019)2nd Place IBJJF American Nationals (2020*)2nd Place SJJIF World Championship (2018)3rd Place IBJJF Pan Championship (2020)Main Achievements (Colored Belts):1st Place IBJJF World Championship (2014 blue)1st Place ACBJJ World Championship (2018 brown)1st Place UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro (2014 blue, 2018 brown)1st Place CBJJ Brazilian No-Gi Nationals (2014/2016 purple, 2017 brown)1st Place IBJJF European No-Gi Open (2017 brown)1st Place ACBJJ European Open (2018** brown)1st Place IBJJF American Nationals (2018** brown)2nd Place IBJJF World Championship (2017 brown)2nd Place IBJJF European Open (2018 brown)2nd Place IBJJF Pans Championship (2014 Blue, 2016 purple)2nd Place CBJJ Brazilian Nationals (2017 brown)2nd Place CBJJ Brazilian No-Gi Nationals (2017* brown)2nd Place IBJJF American Nationals (2018 brown)2nd Place IBJJF Pans No-Gi Championship (2018 brown)3rd Place IBJJF World Championship (2017*/2018 brown)3rd Place UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro (2017 brown)3rd Place IBJJF Pans Championship (2014* Blue)3rd Place CBJJ Brazilian Nationals (2015** purple)3rd Place IBJJF American Nationals (2018* brown) Watch Gabriel Almeida's next match with Nicky Ryan to see who's Number One On May 28https://www.flograppling.com/watch

Even though she's still pretty early in her career, Paris has mad game and experience to draw from.
